Ik the games old but I was wondering if you'd give The Othercide a let's try chance it's a punishing turned base game I'd love to see your opinion on it
Wasent Othercide originally published by Firesquid?? I thought Firesquid and lightbulb crew were like two peas in a pod but now I see its published by focus interactive? Did I miss something? Am I remembering wrong?
i remember playing a VR game that was really similar to this. kinda cool having the planets all around you and drawing lines between them with your hands
That's crazy, I was browsing flashpoint and found a game called "tentacle wars" which seems to be one of this game's main inspirations gameplay-wise. Considering I really liked Tentacle wars, I'm glad to have discovered what seems a more fleshed out version of this game!
The factions being satirical representations of real world movements/ideoligies/beliefs/conspiracies is top tier. --And @Retromation You seem to get bonus crystals?( the Shop currency) for every remaining planet, so quick monument wins might have its benefits..-- Should have watched beyond the end of tutorial before commenting that xD
reminds me of a free flash game that I played a buncha years ago. I LOVED that game, but the level editor didn't work due to flash kinda falling apart. Surely this game's better.
@@hekirb3382 Yeaaaa loved how every color had its own strategy red = target player and aggressive black = mostly neutral, capture whatever purple = red but smart forgot the last color
*Tentacle wars, I just played it yesterday (while browsing flashpoint) and it was great! Finding out about To the stars the very next day was a very lucky find !
Honestly, this would make a fire series.
Make this a series. ;)
PLEASE ❤

The art is pretty neat.
The expression on the planet's faces is hysterical 😂.
This is like a puzzle game! Really interesting take on this style of game, and very good tutorial.

The face on the planets is helping to make the game a lot more interesting

Pretty sure ik exactly what ur talking about
Remember thinking it was really neat
The humour really makes the game. It's got this sorta deadpan sarcasm that I like.

I have anxiety from the last few levels of that game 😅
The game looks cool
Would love to see more of this!
This is pretty damn neat, such a simple premise with a surprising amount of tactical thinking needed.

I remember playing a game that is essentially this games great grandfather back on kongregate
Galcon roguelike? Heck yeah
The Developer is very close friends with the Galcon Dev so... ;)
Great art!
please more of this!
This game is so intense wtf!?
When playing this type of game, my brain is always overloaded😂 like I see everything that's happening but my brain won't do anything about them
Twas a fine watch

I literally just played it on flashpoint yesterday, are you talking about Tentacle wars?

Misplay at 56:32... Reto...
How did you know that I tripped down the stairs precisely a minute and a half after I finished recording?
This is very much like Galcon fusion/legends. It has the same mechanics almost exactly.
35:21 200 gone js like that
A bit worrying that Steam is doing a space explo sale event just after this came out. I think it's going to hurt this game's sales.
Might be good to start using that pause button in those later levels.
I like the game also will you play more knock on coffin
This has to be based on the Gameshow from R&M with the planets
Remind me of old flash game. Mushroom war if I'm not mistaken?
*Tentacle wars, I just played it yesterday (while browsing flashpoint) and it was great! Finding out about To the stars the very next day was a very lucky find !
There are a ton of these zone/node control games. It does have a couple additional mechanics and the art style to stand out though
This is so delightfully weird
Huh, a nice spin on the formula. A bit too chaotic looking, but hey that's RTS eh.
What is this attack of bots, didn't see that much before 😆
