  • Today I want to discuss a couple more reasons I've found for married women to wear a covering---even though I don't believe it is commanded to do so.
You can watch my first headcovering video here: • Headcovering for Bible...
Here are some great shops for purchasing headcoverings:
Torah Led Homestead (my shop): www.etsy.com/shop/TorahLedHom...

I’m thanking Father God for clarifying how the death of Yeshua could possibly take my sin away and save me. I believed it with my whole heart, but didn’t understand it until I saw this video and now I am rejoicing! I recently have been convinced that the commandments in Torah are still for me today and I love God and want to show him I love him back by obeying. I have only just begun by making and wearing Tzitzit and tomorrow will be my first Shabbat observance. I’m 66 and just starting out. Feel born anew!

Oh this is wonderful!! I'm so happy for you, sister! What a miracle and a blessing! I know what you mean about feeling born anew---it's like when I was first saved but with all the understanding and relationship with Yeshua that I've gained over the last 30 years of following Him. I'm so happy this video blessed you. I know you will have a beautiful first Shabbat!

Brand new to headcovering and I know no one who covers or supports it (aside from the hubby). I am convicted and have such a peace about it. Thank you for your videos.

I have founds on UA-cam some great ideas for wrapping/tying and helpful tricks...like using a velvet band to hold it in place as my hair is very fine. Have fun!

I cover as a reminder that I am covered by my savior Yashuah.

This is regarding the prior comment by @marriage4life893 John 21 speaks nothing on a command to wear something on a woman’s head. It is when Jesus appeared to the disciples and told to cast on the right side of the net, when Jesus questions Simon Peter 3 times, talks about John and the innumerable amount of acts Jesus did. 1st Peter 5 also speaks NOTHING about any command on head covering. Why would someone blatantly lie about Scripture?

Thank you for the study! I have been using head coverings on and off as well as wearing dresses and skirts but am struggling. I’m deeply convicted to do so but when I do my kids, husband and close family make fun of me in calling me Amish and Mennonite. Really discouraging. I tell them I don’t like it and I’m just obeying the word but it doesn’t make a difference in their actions. Prayers needed 🙏

Yes, I think most of us who have made an obvious change like that have faced teasing from people we wish would support us. I'm so thankful for online communities of women who are walking a similar walk---we can encourage one another! I hope you'll be able to walk out your convictions in a way that brings you peace. Thank you so much for sharing your thoughts, sister. Shalom!

I have worn head coverings on and off over the years as well and agree, it is not a command in torah. My husband does not care one way or another...
When I do wear a head covering I try to find interesting ways to wear them using pretty fabrics. I appreciate your video...shalom sister!

It’s in the New Testament in Corinthians when you pray or prophesy

Yes, it sure is. If you have a chance to watch the video, I think you'll understand why I've titled it this way. While headcovering is a suggestion from Paul, and a good idea in my opinion, in some cases, it's not a command of the Father. Therefore, we're not sinning if we don't cover. Shalom!

Many Jewish women simply cover their heads with a wig though so anyone outside of their household wouldn't even know that it isn't they're real hair. So what would the purpose be then? It clearly wouldn't be to set them apart if they're blending in.

I am an older, single, woman. I wore a covering many years ago, due to both conviction and my husband's request. But after a couple years he decided he didn't like being different and asked me to quit wearing it. During the time I was wearing it, his abuse of me and the kids escalated, and continued to do so, though off and on. Now, I am being convicted again. What are your thoughts of a a single woman wearing a covering?

    • @HopeCottage_Sarah
      @HopeCottage_Sarah  Рік тому +1

I think a single woman wearing a headcovering can be a beautiful symbol of her commitment to being led by God. The Father is always our ultimate headcovering, whether we're married or not. Sometimes when we put on the covering, it reminds us of the spirit the Father wants us to have: kindness, gentleness, being careful to exhibit His characteristics. I look at the covering in that way for myself as a married woman. For me, it really has a lot less to do with my relationship with my husband and more to do with my relationship with the Father. I hope this helps you as you pray about the choice. Thank you for trusting me to give an opinion, friend. Have a beautiful Shabbat!

Hi there! Thanks for sharing. I'm not trying to be argumentative, but headcovering wasn't cultural in regards to what Paul was saying. Many Greek women( even wealthy) of that time didn't head cover. There is historical evidence to prove this. If you go to followers of the Way UA-cam channel and their headcovering talks, they go into great depth on this xxx

I appreciate your comment; but as I say at about 4:15, I believe he was reiterating a practice that was already established within the HEBREW culture---not the Greeks. I'm not sure if you got a chance to watch the entire video but my points are based on two pieces of Biblical evidence. I don't mention historical evidence nor do I mention the Greeks. My findings are based solely on what we see of Hebrew culture, which is the culture of our Bible and of our Messiah. Shalom!

@Torah Led Homestead I did. Thank you 🙂 I know you didn't mention Greeks or historical, I did. Although I probably got the wrong end of the stick, as I watched it after midnight, lol, but I have rewatched, and I still disagree that Paul was reiterating a practice that was already established. It's very interesting to hear other people's thoughts on this, though. So thank you for sharing xxx

John 21 and 1st Peter 5 says this is a command. So much so that if we don't follow it, men bring dishonor to the Messiah and women being dishonor to men in the body of Christ.
    John 14:15

All the Bible is God-breathed, or it is of no benefit; not Paul’s opinion for heavens sake.

Did you actually watch the video? You seem to be really taking this out of context so I'm inclined to think that you did not. I highly recommend doing so.

Paul is very opinionated. He states what his opinion and commandment are. That was definitely his opinion.
