Salam I'm not jewish but as a muslim girl I just read "stop scarves from slipping" and was an instant click 😅😭. Even over the small things we have more in common than we do differences.x
hello sweet sister:) I am so happy you came over! It is like seeing a cousin we love that we did not see for a while! Please let me know if you have any questions and I really hope you found the video useful for your beautiful hijab needs:)
@@frumitup All and Everything! I was a housekeeper before I had my babies and we had families stay at the timeshare I worked at and I was always curious about the customs and culture and I've always liked them and found them fascinating and so I would watch documentaries but they would never go into the detail you do with your channel so I appreciate all of the information and explanations 🤗🤗 It's refreshing seeing tradition and respect and such an intricate way to live🤗
As a Muslim woman, I love learning about all the similarities between Islam and Judaism. I also cover, and Baruch HaShem/alhamdulillah it is a real blessing to fulfill this commandment to dress modestly. I loved seeing the various ways you tie your scarves, and although I have a lot of scarves myself, after seeing all your gorgeous scarves, I now officially have Scarf Envy lol! Peace.
There are similarities between Judaism and Islam. The difference is that Islam has a Jew-killing prophet who is reputed to have cut the heads off of 800 Jewish men in one afternoon after which Mohammed found and forcibly married that same day a Jewish women whos husband and father he had just murdered. Judaism doesn't have a prophet who is idolized and who is a murderer too. So no, they're not really similar at all. And no, you can't make this stuff up and there is no point in tippy toeing around it. To do so would be disingenuous.
Thank you, Leah, for helping with this video. I feel like I'm spending time with a dear friend and mentor when I watch your videos. You are so kind and welcoming. My family and I are Christians who are honored to join our Jewish friends whenever they invite us to participate in your faith traditions. Thank you, also, to the Muslim women who commented on this post. You helped me learn a little more about your traditions, as well. God bless all of you for your faithfulness.
I'm not Jewish but your faithfulness and cheerful narration are so engaging I can't help watching your videos. (Favorite scarf style was the first with the tail over your shoulder- elegant and subtle!) Thank you for sharing your culture so lovingly! May God Almighty keep you and yours in the palm of His hand, now and forever. ✝️✡️
I am not Jewish, and honestly, I do the bare minimum hair care. I love this video because the joy you take in covering your hair and fulfilling this requirement was a wonderful thing to see. I loved all the coverings shown. Thank you for sharing your joy with all of us.
I am Catholic (Roman rite) and grew up wearing mantillas for Mass and dressing modestly. I was not comfortable experimenting with showing skin. I lived in a large city where I met a Sephardic lady who thought I was Jewish because of my grandmother's maiden last name. I learned much from her and felt so comfortable in that circle of friends. Because of food allergies, I began buying and prepping food in as kosher a way as possible. What a difference! I appreciate your channel so much, especially the way you sign off. Plz tell Leah it was generous of her to help you and us. Again, many thanks.
Did you know that the Saviour Yeshua as some called Jesus is a Jew.He obeys the Torah of His Father. That's why as a believer in Yeshua our Messiah shloud also walka as He walk observing the Torah.
Hi from Arizona 🌵 I’m going to my third appointment with Chemo this Tuesday and as my hair has begun falling out I’m thankful that your video showed up! My favorite head covering is the white with appliqué flowers! I ❤️ Jewish head coverings!Thank you Leah for helping your Mama by Modeling!
I am not Jewish and have always been raised to believe that any religion or culture that “forces” a woman to cover up is inherently wrong and all about the male patriarchy, etc, etc. However, it is hard to believe all of that when I see you take such pleasure from your scarves. Thank you for sharing your life with us. It’s such a lovely life.
Thank you Jen for understanding that the vast majority of women covering their hair ( I will only talk about what I know aka women in Judaism) love covering their hair ❤️
Your wig/hat combo was so cute! It's so nice of you to share all this. I was speaking with the clerk at the pharmacy about how we are lucky to live in such an ethnically/religiously diverse city, due to all the foods we get to try, and we were talking about different clothing styles from different cultures and if it's wrong to 'borrow' them. We all enjoy the foods, but would also love to wear the lovely clothing as well! You are just such a kind person, thank you!
Yay on the wig. Thank you miss Leah for assisting your mother show us the techniques. I don't cover for religious reasons or modesty, but I cover due to my hair not growing back after chemo. I patronize Wrapunzel, The Little Tichel Lady as well as Amazon. I have over 100 scarves and they have become my trademark. I will say that I have always dressed modestly and conservatively all my life. Thank you for this video. Your voice is so calming. Hope you have a happy week! Hugs!
The scarves as you wear them are, indeed, regal. The wig … not so much and I appreciate your comment about using human hair to fulfill the commandment. Leah, you are generous to us to let your mother demonstrate her techniques on you! Thank you so much!
I agree , the wig not so much….and I have thought about using a wig to fulfil the obligation to cover our heads , It doesn’t seem right to me , but that’s me. I much prefer scarves. Wirh the diffent colors, volumizers and styles of wrapping, you can have a different beautiful look every day
@@teresahiggs4896, I’ve come into contact with a number of women who “cover” from several faith traditions. The variety and beauty of their coverings are a wonder!
First how wonderful of your lovely daughter to help with modeling. Thank you to her. I'm not Jewish but I have the greatest amount of respect for you and the way you honor God. I'm a Christian, I appreciate your honesty in this wonderfully presented video! It helps us to understand each other.
I didn't know Jewish women are covering their hair. Can anyone explain me why women in the Middle East covering their hair when they go outside? It's fascinating to know.
For the angels left their first abode because of the beauty of women’s hair! It’s also spoken of in Corinthians which the Jewish people don’t read! It’s also spoken of in the tanak and Torah about women covering their heads and uncovering their heads when brought to or come in contact with certain people. The Talmud is where the command is written but is not actually found as a command in Torah but is most definitely understood in several scriptures and is also extremely modest and respectful when it’s done! The obedience shown when a woman covers her head cannot be described in words the Beauty they express in the eyes of a Ruach led man!! This is my wife’s account who covers her head and has no idea how beautiful she is in my eyes for her obedience! Thank you ma’am for sharing this! Shalom!.
As a hairdresser I always keep looking for tips and instruction to support my clients who need or want headcovering for personal and medical reasons. This video is a delight. I also enjoy hearing your joy as a woman of faith. Be blessed.
have you made hair appointment set ups for those who wear religious head coverings? i know that for ladies in hijabs they have to make sure they arent on camera when they get their hair done and the windows are obscured as well as only female staff. i have no idea if kosher shampoo is a thing. but was just curious if you had experience with those types of clients and how it went
I am a traditional Roman Catholic (pre-Vatican II Latin mass), and most women in our church cover their heads while in the presence of the Blessed Sacrament. Some of my friends cover all the time. I took particular interest in your tips on keeping your head coverings from slipping. I have extremely fine thin (and getting thinner!) hair and even with a wig comb sewn in it, my veils always slide. Hats make me too hot and some scarves are too heavy, whereas light ones are too slippery. Based on your tips, I should get myself a grip band and some bulk! Lol! Also - I just want to say that I also work and understand the struggles that women of traditional faiths face while raising families and working. Your videos are encouraging. And thank you, Leah for helping your mother! 😊
im Muslim and love wearing a scarf, I never knew about this jewish tradition though, thanku for this video. it is beautiful and informative. the way you have organized ur scarfs and other accessories is pretty amazing. so sweet of ur daughter to help you this way. stay blessed.
_As-salam aleikum!_ I work in a craft store that has a wide variety of customers, from mainstream to conservative Mennonite to Muslim, and it’s always fascinating to see the difference in hairstyles and head coverings. The dental clinic where I take my younger daughter used to have a Muslim employee who had the snazziest hijabs, and I always raved about them (especially her hijab with the rhinestone embellishments-I’m a sucker for sparkly accessories!). It’s great to see people rocking their own style and still being modest at the same time!
I love Jewish head coverings. I am an Orthodox Christian in the UK and most women including myself wear a head covering in church. You have given me some more ideas for myself to try . Thank you.
I am Jewish by ancestry (Ashkenazi)but was not raised in the faith by my mother and grandmother. I have always loved the way Jewish women have styled their scarves so they have that volume at the back of the head. Thank you for explaining how it is done. Beautiful and fascinating.
I have started wearing head coverings after years of trying to keep up with the hairstyles that have left my scalp irritated and hair damaged( too much heat and chemicals). I am also a Christian who has great reverence for God and respect for Jewish culture. I enjoyed watching the way you wrapped your scarves and will try to implement some of the tips I have learned. Your scarves are beautiful and so are you. Shalom
I was literally thinking how much I wanted a video on head coverings a few days ago and here it is. I am Jewish but these things have still always been a mystery to me. Many times I’ve had the urge to cover my hair and when I tried it never came out correctly . I never knew about the volumizer and headband . Thank you so much for this teaching ! As everyone has said you are so uplifting . Thank you for all of the thought and time you put into these videos
Look on UA-cam for Wrapunzle. They have lost of tutorials for now to wrap and make differ t styles, wirh tails, without, just to have differ t looks using the same scarves.
You and Islam people are the same. They read their religious book without trying to understand it. But rather listen to the lies of their religious teachers. As a jew, im sure you have never taught of reading the New testament of the bible. Read it. You will see that Jesus is the one who the jews were waiting for. The Messiah.
Thank you Leah for sitting for the modeling! and thank you Sarah for demonstrating. I am not religious but I cover my hair sometimes to protect my hair and skin (especially that hair part!) from the elements and I feel like a vintage movie star. I love learning ways to better tie scarves, especially the slippery ones. Now I help my mom tie hers as she has lost hair from chemotherapy. Your synthetic wig was very cute, but it is about your comfort! Your coverings are always so beautiful. I love Jewish head covering!
Hello i also cover My long hair purely for hygienical and environmental reasons, not religious. It Is very uncommon for western ladies where I live and people sometimes stare at me, as if I cared 😂 It made a lot of difference for hair health, so now my hair looks beautiful when I let It down on some occasion out! I feel the same about human hair. They come from places where long hair Is seen as a must of female beauty and yet girls cut It in order to earn a little Money. Needless to Say this channel takes head covering to an Amazing next level of elegance and refinement 💗
Chavoua tov hanouka sameah Sarah Malka merci pour le partage des beaux foulards. Le dernier foulard est magnifique vraiment. J écris en Français désolée mais je crois reconnaître l accent francophone.. Kol touv
You are the breath of fresh air I needed today. It is so nice to see videos from a person who uses their faith to spread kindness, information and understanding towards everyone. Your planning videos, especially the weekly scheduling one, has helped me reduce some of the unnecessary pressure and stress in my life. Though, I think you and everyone else should wear whatever makes them at peace with themselves and God. But, I think you look more comfortable wearing the scarves, so I say leave your wigs in the closet. Have a wonderful week.
I am a muslim and wear head cover as well. I really love your tips on head-covering 😊 I use the big scrunchy too, but never wear the bandana. I will try it then to secure my headscarf 😊 Thanks again for the tips. Btw, I love your voice. It is so soothing 😊
I'm native American and was actually looking for a comfortable way to cover my head at night to protect my hair and try to keep it safe from friz and breakage but I was raised Mennonite and still struggle at times about a head covering I absolutely loved this video tutorial thank you so much!
I’m a Christian and really enjoy learning the customs of hair covering, be it Orthodox Jewish or Islamic. What a beautiful form of worship. In some Christian sects women do observe this (for example, some orders of nuns in the Catholic church). I was not raised with the tradition of hair covering but find such beauty in it.
Growing up Catholic, we wore chapel veils, and they really looked like a round doily. I am not sure when we stopped wearing them. When I was very young, my mom and older sisters wore hats. I also wore a hat for Easter.
@@marilyn6556 I was brought up Catholic, also. Women stopped wearing head coverings in the 1960’s after The reforms on Vatican 2 starting coming to the local parishes. This is the time when started wearing pants to church.
From what I’ve seen in the short time I’ve watched your channel, you have a talent for creating attractive outfits with beautifully brilliant color combinations w/o comprising your commitment to maintaining a conservative style of dress. I imagine today’s show will offer us a rare treat of peeking into your closet and saying….omg did you see how beautiful the color and style of that head covering is??? Lol Looking forward to today’s video
Thank you, Leah, for your modeling services. I am Christian and God has placed it on my heart to start covering my hair. This is new to me so I appreciate all the small hints you included in your videos. Wish you many 🙌 blessings
God didn't place it in your heart that you should cover your head. It's from Satan. Do you really think that Jesus cares if you cover your head or not ? This tells me you know nothing about Christianity.
I loved the one with the three different metal embellishments! But mostly I loved the fact that you were so happy and excited about your own head coverings!
I love Jewish head coverings! As a cancer survivor whose hair never really grew back I am always looking for pretty alternatives to wigs, which can be itchy to me. God bless you for sharing this aspect of your life with us.
I wish I had found this channel five years ago when I lost 30-40% of my already fine, thin hair after an unexpected cancer diagnosis, internal perforation that required surgery and then a wound vac for several months afterward. I was given a wig, but it was too dark and the combination of color and style weren't flattering on me. I needed a longer wig since I am Apostolic Pentecostal and the one the agency gave me was the only long one they had at the time. I wore it anyway, for about six months then in the heat of summer in the Midwestern US it got too hot and I wore scarves but could never get them to look as pretty as yours or to stay in place as well. By the grace of God I am cancer free now and my hair has grown back longer and thicker than before, but if I ever have need of a way to cover my head again I will remember these tricks. Ladies who have lost hair from cancer/treatment try a good biotin and collagen shampoo and conditioner or L'Oreal dream lengths, Garnier fructis grow strong shampoo and conditioner. I used all three and found them very helpful.
@@pamfink4052 May G-d continue to bless you and keep you in good health! Thank you for your good advice and many blessings to you Pam! A Refuah Shlema for you dear one and thank you for being here!❤
I love Jewish head coverings! I am a Reform Jewish woman who really doesn’t know much about Orthodoxy, I find you videos so pleasant and informative. Thank you so much for sharing these aspects of your life on UA-cam. ❤️
I am a Quaker (Friend) who also covers and I just love seeing how other women cover their hair. I instantly recognized many of the items from Wrapunzel, as I also have many of their products and adore them.
I love Wrapunzle too! And thank goodness for their UA-cam tutorials! I can stop and start them to figure out how to wrap a new style. I can’t say enough good things about this company. Their products are quality and their customer service is wonderful too.
I love the blue and white gradient scarf you used to demonstrate the turban wrap for work especially... it's so simple and yet so beautiful. I think it is my favorite of the head coverings you showed even though others have more patterns and embellishments. Thank you for sharing all of these videos and demystifying Orthodox Jewish customs!
I'm not Jewish but I love the look of Jewish women in their head dresses. It's lovely. Thank you little miss Leah for your modeling. You were wonderful and beautiful!
Sarah, what a wonderful video again! Thanks to Miss Leah for modeling, beautiful 🤩. Although I am Greek Orthodox and from Greece, I love your channel-it is important to watch and see other cultures and religions in order to broaden one’s horizon. Just as a quick info, in the older days my grandmother always used to wear a scarf to cover her hair, it was also in the Greek culture tradition to do so. My best regards to you from Thessaloniki-Greece, where we still live in peace and respect with so many of our Jewish neighbors and friends. May you and your family be safe and heathy. Ο θεός μαζί σας - Αλικη
I am a Christian woman from the United States, married to a Muslim man, we lived overseas for many years and I also had to wear a cover in his country to be respectful. I find it charming and so helpful to know the rules of modesty and the grace that you give to it. You are such a blessing and I really admire you and the way you're raising your family❤❤
I am a Roman Catholic, and I cover my head and it when I do not wear a mantilla I am so happy for your channel because I love the way my Jewish sisters wear their head covers, they are absolutely beautiful! Your daughter is wonderful model, thank her for me!
I am also not religious, however I find religions and their customs fascinating. Your videos are so interesting and also provide a moment of calm in my somewhat hectic days. Your head coverings are beautiful and it was lovely learning about them 😍x
Your organizational skills are legendary!! Learning about all the steps to create your wonderful headpieces was so fascinating! They all create such a beautiful silhouette, but I think my favorites were the solid colored ones with the embellishments.
As a muslim I am very excited to see other religions encouraging the modesty of women as we are always criticized for wearing the hijab and then claiming that we are oppressed
Hello sweet Muna! I am so happy you are here! I am with you 100%!! Head covering is not being oppressed but expressing our through self via our modesty ❤️❤️ Have a blessed day my sister 🥰
As a witchy person, I hate how immodest clothes are. Just had to get wedding clothes and everything was so revealing and sheer. I'm not judging folks who wear that, I just want options. I've been peeping Islamic stores and really like the pants suit styles.
I am trying to learn how to incorporate this into my life as I am just learning that I should. You make it look so easy, beautiful and doable. I love Jewish Headcoverings. Thank you.
Dear Leah…your hair shines like the sun. ☀️ 🌺 Thank you for helping your Mother show us how to put on a head covering. You did great. ✨I love Jewish head coverings. Sarah…you looked beautiful in all of them. My favorite was the white one for Yom Kippur. Also, you look adorable in the wig and hat. Thank you for blessing our lives. 🙏🥰
I love Jewish head covering! I personally find it an honor to cover my head, and it is indeed our crown of splendor 😊 I am not a fan of wigs myself, and I absolutely love your last one- haven't seen one like that! I'm grateful for Wrapunzel, it made getting access to scarves so much easier, and the velvet headband is a life saver. Shalom shalom🤗
I love the lux style ones. I wish I would have known that they existed I could have used it when I was doing chemo. I hated the wigs. My hair has always been my pride and when it fell off I was lost. You are a blessing. Thank you I love Jewish head coverings.
I think that when a woman covers her hair, it is beautiful. I'm Catholic, so I only cover my hair when going to Mass or Adoration, but I have been thinking of doing it full time since it IS biblical. Love this video
To Sara and the lovely miss Leah: Please do a hair covering series?! This channel is therapeutic for so many including myself; you're channel is a blessing, Praise G.d!💜
Thank you Leah for allowing your mom to demonstrate how she does the start of her hair coverings. Also thank you Sara for going through everything about how you do things. I love to learn about others religions and how they do things because learning about differences helps me understand and become a better person in general.
Thank you to your beautiful daughter for being a model today; thank you for this video. I am the woman who had a wonderful grandmother who was Jewish, she was, along with my other grandmother, the women who loved and cared for me. My parents were married almost 60 years when my father passed, so I was raised in a home with two parents. Short and sweet, my mother wanted her career, not another child and not a girl. My siblings are male. I am thankful my grandmothers loved me. I lost my husband of 36 years in June and I am curious to know if a Jewish woman who is a widow must still cover her hair? I enjoy your videos so much, they help me and you always at the end say how perfect and loved we are. Thank you…. P.S. I don’t like the wigs, no. I love your beautiful scarves.
I love your head covering collection. I do believe the last few, especially the blue one are absolutely my favorite! Happy Hanukkah 🕎 and Shabbat Shalom 💙
So that’s how to give volume to a scarf! I know Muslimas wear a volumizer for their hijabs. I’ve notice over in Israel that the ladies get quite ornate with the scarves with beads and all. I’ve got a lot of cotton tichels but I always feel when wearing them makes me feel like I just came in from the cabbage field😂 So many thanks for the tips. Maybe I’ll start wearing them again. 🙏🏻
Sarah, you are just gorgeous! Leah you also, thank you for helping! Yes, regal is the perfect word to describe you in your head coverings. With your height you’re able to carry these so well. I think I liked the first best. I see head coverings as a privilege that Jewish married women hold. Thank you once again for sharing this with us ❤️. I love Jewish head coverings!
I'm not Jewish. I'm not religious, but I believe in God. I like your pouf. It gives your scarves height. Your voice sounds comforting. I can hear your French Canadian Quebecois accent.
I discovered your channel the other day. And I am truly enjoying learning about you and your religion and your relationship with the creator. I absolutely LOVED this video. I am a Muslim woman and I too cover my hair and dress modestly. You have given me new ideas for covering my hair. Thank you. You are right when you say you feel so much better and you certainly look beautiful with your head scarves. I am learning a lot from you and your videos are interesting to me. I love your morning routine especially the part where you read and pray. I do this as well. I hope you continue to make videos and be blessed. ❤ Oh and my favorite style of yours is your everyday style. And my second favorite is the one for special occasions
Sarah, you are so gorgeous with a wig on. Honestly, beautiful either way, but I definitely think you should wear the wig more often. Your eyes compliment it so well. I wish to cover my hair more and this video helped me. Thank you for all you do! ❤
I am not Jewish, but love to learn about different cultures. I’m a Cancer patient and have recently lost my hair due to Chemo. Thank you for the tip on the volumizer. I have 2 wigs that I have worn to the cancer center, but take them off as soon as I get home. They take a while to adjust to, I guess. All the pieces you’ve showed us today are beautiful. Thank you for this informative video, and I just subscribed, as I love to learn. I’m 75, but never too old to learn. Thank you Leah (I have a niece named Leah) for being a model for your Mom. I’m sure you enjoyed it. 😁💐
As a Catholic woman, I cover my head at mass with a chapel veil. I think it is a beautiful tradition. Thank you for your videos. They are so wonderful to watch.
I’m a Christian and it’s been about 7 years when I started covering. Im still looking for the right covering. Since watching your video it has given me so many options to wear. Thank you for sharing.
I love Jewish head covering ❤️ Thank you Sara for another informative and calming video and thank you Leah for helping your mom! I loved the purple sequin headscarf because it was so glamorous but I also thought the silk scarf with the leopard print was very pretty, and the ombre dyed scarf reminded me of a peaceful river!
Thank you to your beautiful model! I am a Noachide woman and I have been covering my hair with scarves for 8 years in the Appalachian Highlands area of the American South. I absolutely love it! I do own a wig, but like you, I hate it! I used to wear it to interviews, but where I work now I am so recognized by my scarf. No one would know me if I wore a wig. 🙂 Highly recommend Wrapunzel. I've been ordering from them for years. Very reasonable prices and super fast shipping! I have a couple pieces of advice for women who would like to use scarves to cover their hair. 1. Be careful with florals and small prints. In my opinion, they can look like a shower cap. 2. Also be careful with black and gray. Color at your face is usually better.
Aww thank you so so much for writing to me today Eliana❤️ I love your story and how you keep your faith even in the Appalachian Highlands! You inspire me! And all your tips are amazing! Thank you ❤️❤️❤️
Thank you for sharing! My ex-husband is Jewish but doesn’t get to spend much time with our daughter unfortunately. I am not, but I still want to help our little one learn about Jewish culture. She is 8 and so curious! I so appreciate your video for helping us learn about something new to both of us 😊
Tres belle video😀 Wonderful to see how much we have in common (I am a Muslim girl in 🇨🇦). I have been following your vlogs and loved them all. I even tried your Moroccan fish recipe and it turned out so good! Thank you to your lovely daughter as well for volunteering in the video:)
Do thank your Daughter for modelling for us. I am not Jewish but I love these videos. I find the Jewish religion fascinating with its customs and traditions. I think its wonderful to people who are proud of their religion and show it outwardly in their clothing. Thank-you for sharing with us and blessings to you and your family
Wonderful job modeling, Leah! Such a good helper you are. I wear a small round covering when I stay with my Amish friends and it's very interesting to see how differently we go about it. We rely on hair nets and bobby pins to keep our "bob" (aka bun) in place all day! Your coverings are all gorgeous!
I am Muslim and I discover your videos which are very instructive and above all I really like your way of life. we are definitely so close and so distant at the same time. I like your modesty
Thank you for modeling for us, Leah! 🐱 The wig is cute on you but of course you should do what you feel most comfortable with! I loved hearing you share you view your head covering like a crown; I feel however we choose to crown ourselves every woman should feel that queenly. The way you embellish your scarves is so pretty and fun. What a beautiful wardrobe of head coverings you have!
Thank you for all your tips! I'm in a comparative religion course for my master's thesis and exploring all of these beliefs also requires that I do a lot of hair covering to spend time in certain places and the scarves slide around constantly and it drives me nuts and makes note taking an excessively frustrating experience. Thanks to Leah for assisting!💖
Dearest Sara, I Love Jewish Head Coverings! This was a most wonderful episode, as I always wondered how you were able to cover your hair so beautifully and easily. Many thanks to Leah for being such a pretty model for us! I am a Catholic, and I have been wearing a veil to church for many years to show respect in my house of worship. It is an old tradition that is making a comeback. Thank you for showing us how to be an amazing and faithful woman. Peace be with you.
I love Jewish head covering! I wear a veil to church every Sunday and - while some people think it’s old fashioned or maybe they don’t have the same convictions as I do - I can wholeheartedly say I never feel more feminine than when my head is covered. I love my veil! I imagine you feel the same about your tichel😃
I've also started to wear a veil to church (Mass). It does feel very different when we are doing something to show reverence to our creator. I also feel quite feminine and have done beautiful veils. I was afraid of vanity at first until I realized that putting the Lord first made it right and just.
I’m mixed. I’m Mexican/Native/Spaniard on one side, and German/Polish/British on the other. I did a DNA test and found my first half is part Ashkenazi somewhere. I assume from the Spaniard part. Got into looking up headscarves though because my second half, my great grandma fled from Europe during WWII, and being polish she liked to cover her hair. Guess I’m trying to learn as much as I can about every part of my ancestry. Thank you for the video! Super amazing! Very informative/educational
I love Jewish headcoverings even though I'm not Jewish, I wrap my hair like I am. I appreciate the winter cap section of this video because I have caps but was actually afraid if I wore it I might snatch it off indoors and be headnaked in front of everyone. And I love the tied bonnets!!!!
Sara Malka, we have a quote here in Norway, and it’s the same in at least Sweden too, so maybe you have it in one of your five languages too: “everything suits the beautiful”, and all your different coverings was very beautiful on you, even though wig was not typical you, you can absolutely wear it if you feel for it 🥰 It is important to feel well and yourself in what your wearing, and I love the blue scarf with the ombré colors. So sweet of Leah to step in as a model to show us 🥰 Maybe to personal to ask, but have you had any “ups” with covering slipping? I think I have said it before, but I don’t expect you to remember if I have, but I am a conservative Christian, and only wears skirts and dresses. I have had two not the best ones: going out in public with the back of my skirts in my leggings 🫣🫣 One time in church and one time in the cafeteria at the hospital🫣🫣 at least I had some non see true leggings, but not fun… Someone was kind to tell me right away. I try to check very well. I also have some issues with the wind, but I always have a hair tie on my wrist, and that is great to collect extra fabric so the skirt is not flying away. I normally don’t wear the most voluminous skirts for the most windy days though, but just in case a hair tie can save the day 😆😆 Thank you as always for sharing! Love and blessings from Johanne, Norway 🇳🇴
Sweet Johanne: i truly appreciate you taking the time to write to me ❤️❤️❤️ I had plenty of “oups” moments with my headscarf! 1- at the hospital on my 1st say I forgot to put my tail up and it got caught in the main door in front of the whole group 🥴🥴🥴 Playing tennis and feeling my scarf falling and instead of stopping to set my scarf I wanted so bad to hit the ball and get the point I ran into o the ball hit it and then the scarf just slipped off : I just had the time to catch it before I was fully uncovered! Also nursing with a scarf has many stories attached to it!! Xoxoxo
Hi! Thank you for this video! I'm not Jewish, but a conservative Christian who follows similar modesty beliefs as you. It is nice to see beauty and modesty combined. I love your cheerful narrative too!
I LOOOOVVVEEE wrapunzel! 😂❤ and I think the sheitel is super cute also. It’s its own completely different look. lol that’s how it is with me. I use it to my advantage some days when I just want to feel hidden 😂
Thank you, Leah! I appreciate your kindness.❤️ 10:45. My favorite, also! Beautiful! I love Jewish head covering! Thank you! Beautifully and clearly done!
Thank you so much for this video! I'm Jewish but didn't cover my head until I had to deal with hair loss due to chemo. I've accumulated quite a collection of scarves and watched lots of youtube videos in the past few months. In June I attended a bat mitzvah in Toronto and wore a beginner version of the beautiful styles you demonstrated. And you're right -- it made me feel regal! I'm now looking for ideas of what to wear for the upcoming High Holidays. Thanks to both you and your daughter for sharing.
Thank you Leah for modelling! Thank you Sarah for this very interesting video! You look absolutely beautiful in your Tichels I found your comment about Wigs as headcoverings very interesting. I don't cover my hair, as I am catholic. We do however veil our head during mass, even though it is not mandatory anymore :) Our veiling is called Mantilla. I always found it so interesting how in all different religions many women choose to cover their hair in so many different styles! I find it so beautiful and inspiring! Mennonite or Catholic Headcoverings, Jewish Tichels or Sheitels, Muslim Hijabs.... all for the glory of our Creator in Heaven :)
I love head coverings! I'm Messianic and I started my covering journey about two years ago and I've recently been convicted to completely cover my hair in public. Only my husband and my children see me uncovered. My close female friends and my sisters as well, but not every woman. ❤ Shalom!
Thank you Leah and your mommie to help us learn how to wear headcovering❤. I am from a faith-diverse family. I am BLESSED to learn from such lovely faithful females. MaNy BLESSINGS 💯
I love head coverings & adore all of the styles & thank you for allowing us to get a glimpse of your cultural styles & big thanks to your daughter also for helping. Shalom
Thank you to Miss Leah for modeling for us, she did a fantastic job! I think the wig looks adorable on you, but your various other head coverings are so beautiful with the different colors, textures and embellishments. I am enjoying learning about your life and your voice is really lovely!! Thank you 🦋
PLEASE! Do a video on clothing and where you find proper modest dresses and skirts. I’m not sure if you have a video on it but it would be so helpful 🤩💐🩷!
Shalom Sara and thank you Leah 🙂 "I love Jewish head covering" - and particularly how organised you are! I also prefer synthetic wigs, it feels totally weird wearing someone else's hair to hide my own!
I don't wear head covering for religious reasons, but I have been wearing scarfs and wraps lately to keep my recently bald head warm. Thanks for showing your tips and tricks and thank your daughter for being your model.
I love Jewish head coverings. Thank you Sara for your fun and educational videos. I discovered them only a short while ago, but I am thoroughly enjoying them. And thank you Leah for being our hair model for today. May Father God richly bless you and your family, Sara.
✝️❤️✡️. May The Lord richly and continually bless you and all of yours His people Israel. I LOVE JEWISH HEAD COVERING. Your daughter was an excellent helper with demonstrating your haircovering technique. All of your haircoverings are very beautiful. I saw your hair covering in previous videos and began to search about them online, which brought me to this video. Thank you very much for explaining. Excellent video.
Hi, I know this is way to long time ago but here it is. I love to see the video. I'm not Jewish as far as I can find in our roots, going back to 1523 (I think). It doesn't stop me I'm afraid, because of my love for hats, and now scarf head coverings. No offence to any religion intended here, I'm just loving your scarfs. I hope nobody is going to mind if I borrow a couple of your tricks to keep the scarf/s on the head. I need to keep out of the sun a little more than normal, and the scarfs I have don't stay on my head for love nor money. I very much love the layering you do in the video. I'm thinking about buying a piece of linen to make an underscarf, to making the nice one on, plus some hat pins, and I then I have a new summer hat. I loved the decoration too, so I might borrow that idea too. I have some custom jewelry that I never use...Hmmm. I'm spending my time on my bed almost 24/7/365 because of a car accident 29 years ago where I got a CPS after whiplash trauma, that has shown to be very resistant to treatment. Unfortunately, with this newer generation of physicians, they are too. They keep wanting to take away the only treatment that has shown to be effective enough to have me out of the bed, and out into the world, for at least 6-8 hours per week. I have also been on the same meds and doses, or similar for at least 20-25 years, and have had them re-evaluated by the pain clinic. But do the GP's office that sent me to be evaluated follow that evaluation? Of course not. That would make too much sense, and keeping my dread to go there for anything. Medical offices PTSD, is strong in this one. But I digress way to much. Having written it out already, I won't take it out, if you don't mind. So putting on a nice scarf instead of a hat, with some of my brooches sounds like a thing I should try. Please let me know if this is bad form. I'm from Scandinavia, so I might not know the boundaries for borrowing a style from your culture. Yours, Ann

Peace.
Loolll you are ADORABLE 🥰 Caroline! Thank you for being such a pleasure to interact with may G.od or Allah protect and guard you ❤️❤️❤️
Muslim women and jewish women and also old nuns are wearing same head cover. Because we are come from same God, we are created only one same God
@@arzuozkan9611one G-d is right.
Don't be envious, buy more and put out a video. I for one, would love to see and have understanding of your religious customs.
Aww thank you so so much Reba ❤️❤️❤️
Thank you Sarah🙏 also I was wondering how I can kosher a kitchen w only one sink, fridge and stove Tysm

Hugs!
sweet Julie, i am in Awe of you, you are a fighter and a beautiful person in and out! May G.od bless you xoxox
The scarves as you wear them are, indeed, regal. The wig … not so much and I appreciate your comment about using human hair to fulfill the commandment.
Leah, you are generous to us to let your mother demonstrate her techniques on you! Thank you so much!
You are so welcome Dorothy and thank YOU so much for being here!
Leah sends you a kiss:) xoxoxo
Thank YOU Mic for being here ❤️❤️
She’s lovely!!
I couldn't agree more with this comment💙

I love Jewish head covering!
hello sweet Friend: you are such a good daughter to take care of your mother like this: you are like an angel.
Never change: you are amazing! xoxoxo

Aww I am happy it could help you!
I know some Catholic Churches still ask for women to wear coverings during prayer. Women are are supposed to be covered when meeting the Pope.
I'm planning on covering my hair after I get married.
i’m catholic and wear a mantilla to mass. it’s longer than what my mom wore growing up, covering all my hair, except maybe a little bit in the front
I just found your channel and I have to say I am learning so much! I am not Jewish but I find your traditions fascinating! Thank you for sharing.

Awww Gina: you made me cry of joy to know I was a bit instrumental to you feeling pretty ❤️❤️

Wonderful video. My vote: I am against the shaytl, but love the scarf look.
Yes, at church.
I love Jewish head coverings. They are so beautiful.
I’m a Christian and it’s been about 7 years when I started covering. Im still looking for the right covering. Since watching your video it has given me so many options to wear. Thank you for sharing.
I love Jewish head covering ❤️
Thank you Sara for another informative and calming video and thank you Leah for helping your mom!
Highly recommend Wrapunzel.
I so appreciate your video for helping us learn about something new to both of us 😊
I am so happy it can help you sweet mama Swan 🦢
I love watching your videos make more please ❤😊
I like the wig for a change. But if it makes you uncomfortable then don’t do it.
Tres belle video😀 Wonderful to see how much we have in common (I am a Muslim girl in 🇨🇦). I have been following your vlogs and loved them all. I even tried your Moroccan fish recipe and it turned out so good! Thank you to your lovely daughter as well for volunteering in the video:)
hello my sweet friend!
I am so happy to see you again:)
i am delighted the fish turn out so good for you!
May G.od bless you and your family!
xoxoxo
That is so interesting! Thank you for sharing ❤️
I am Muslim and I discover your videos which are very instructive and above all I really like your way of life. we are definitely so close and so distant at the same time. I like your modesty
Thank you for modeling for us, Leah! 🐱
The wig is cute on you but of course you should do what you feel most comfortable with! I loved hearing you share you view your head covering like a crown; I feel however we choose to crown ourselves every woman should feel that queenly. The way you embellish your scarves is so pretty and fun. What a beautiful wardrobe of head coverings you have!
Oh thank you so much Jeniphir❤️❤️❤️
I imagine you feel the same about your tichel😃
you are right Mary , i feel the same way:) it is like a divine crown for me!
Thank YOU for being here 🥰🥰🥰
I love hats - berets, fedoras, cloches, bucket hats.
Sara Malka, we have a quote here in Norway, and it’s the same in at least Sweden too, so maybe you have it in one of your five languages too: “everything suits the beautiful”, and all your different coverings was very beautiful on you, even though wig was not typical you, you can absolutely wear it if you feel for it 🥰
It is important to feel well and yourself in what your wearing, and I love the blue scarf with the ombré colors. So sweet of Leah to step in as a model to show us 🥰
Maybe to personal to ask, but have you had any “ups” with covering slipping? I think I have said it before, but I don’t expect you to remember if I have, but I am a conservative Christian, and only wears skirts and dresses. I have had two not the best ones: going out in public with the back of my skirts in my leggings 🫣🫣 One time in church and one time in the cafeteria at the hospital🫣🫣 at least I had some non see true leggings, but not fun… Someone was kind to tell me right away. I try to check very well. I also have some issues with the wind, but I always have a hair tie on my wrist, and that is great to collect extra fabric so the skirt is not flying away. I normally don’t wear the most voluminous skirts for the most windy days though, but just in case a hair tie can save the day 😆😆
Thank you as always for sharing!
Love and blessings from Johanne, Norway 🇳🇴
Sweet Johanne: i truly appreciate you taking the time to write to me ❤️❤️❤️
I had plenty of “oups” moments with my headscarf!
1- at the hospital on my 1st say I forgot to put my tail up and it got caught in the main door in front of the whole group 🥴🥴🥴
Playing tennis and feeling my scarf falling and instead of stopping to set my scarf I wanted so bad to hit the ball and get the point I ran into o the ball hit it and then the scarf just slipped off : I just had the time to catch it before I was fully uncovered!
Where did you get the word ' conservative Christian "??. You are either a Christian or you're not.
I LOOOOVVVEEE wrapunzel! 😂❤ and I think the sheitel is super cute also. It’s its own completely different look. lol that’s how it is with me. I use it to my advantage some days when I just want to feel hidden 😂
Thank you, Leah! I appreciate your kindness.❤️
Sweet Sandra: May G.od keep you healthy and blessed ❤️❤️❤️
I never realized how much of a process it was to cover your hair. I love it and deeply respect it.
Thank you and thank you for being here!🥰
The more you do it, the faster it goes. First, the learning process. God bless!
Thank you 🦋
Thank you so much sweet Amy ❤️❤️❤️
I really enjoyed this video as a Christian woman who also wears a head covering and keeps Shabbat. Thank you for sharing ❤️
I love Jewish hair coverings, and you are simply gorgeous, thank you for your video, I truly love your styles
PLEASE! Do a video on clothing and where you find proper modest dresses and skirts. I’m not sure if you have a video on it but it would be so helpful 🤩💐🩷!
Shalom Sara and thank you Leah 🙂
"I love Jewish head covering" - and particularly how organised you are!
I also prefer synthetic wigs, it feels totally weird wearing someone else's hair to hide my own!
i am on your team Zoe!: wearing someone hair is not comfortable for me too!
I don't wear head covering for religious reasons, but I have been wearing scarfs and wraps lately to keep my recently bald head warm. Thanks for showing your tips and tricks and thank your daughter for being your model.
Thank you so much for the feedbackAlisha❤️I am so happy it could help you!
Yours, Ann
