Idols aren’t just of wood and metal but in your heart. Your job, car, sports, wrong thoughts, people… can be idols. Only Jesus and deliverance can get rid of idols
I had a bunch of old pictures in a box. Some good, but most of me partying and getting wild. The Lord told me to get rid of them. So I burned them. Then the Lord told me to delete every selfie of me off of my Facebook page. It took 7 hours to do that. I realized that day that I’m very vain. A couple weeks later, He had me get off Facebook altogether. There was no longer a reason to have it if I wasn’t going to post selfies, debate people about politics/religion, or brag lol Praise God, He broke those chains.
@Avalon Kryst praise the Lord. There’s nothing in Scripture condemning Facebook. For me, it was making me idolize myself. It doesn’t do that to everyone who has it. I used to spend 3+ hours a day looking at Facebook and ignoring my husband and kids
It all depends how you use it, if you use it for the Glory of God. I use Facebook mostly to share Bible verses. I once deactivated for a while and I had people message me they miss the Bible verse I post, so I activated and still posting Bible verses.
I used to wear evil eyes, yin yangs, hamsa symbols, and all of that. Every single time I wore that stuff I felt weighed down, depressed, anxious, and incredibly self conscious. One day something told me “don’t put them on” and I didn’t, I have not felt that light and happy in so long! Ever since I stopped wearing those things my severe depression and anxiety went away and it’s amazing!

I was a yoga teacher part time and reiki healer. I got rid of everything 2 years ago. Holy Spirit convinced me loud and clear. Jesus is so good and merciful he did it with love
There's nothing wrong with having a yoga mat or blocks etc. I don't do yoga but I often use these tools for physiotherapy (which I need to do). I think it's kind of dangerous making people scared of things like that. Fair enough about symbols and stuff but a plain yoga mat is a sheet of foam to cushion your joints when stretching and exercising - which is very healthy! I don't believe God would want us to injure ourselves just because of fear of these sorts of items.
I'm pretty sure that's not what she meant when she said to get rid of your yoga mats obviously she was implying to those people that were doing yoga before with having those yoga mats so it's better to get rid of them instead of being tempted into using it to do yoga again
In my belief there's nothing wrong with yoga or meditation, as long you aren't worshipping other gods by doing it. When studying religion in college, I realized then that meditation practices in Buddha could be beneficial to your health. And no I'm talking about praying or worshipping Buddha. I'm talking about relaxing and clearing your head, there's nothing evil about that. I once heard someone say that when we pray that's us talking to God. When we meditate that's when we listen to God. We all have to do what we personally feel convicted to do.
@@SharronCarolina as Christians we are supposed to meditate in prayer through the Holy Ghost in Jesus Christ's mighty name to Father God but when you're doing yoga in general you're doing the acts that literally came to be because of Hinduism.
@@SharronCarolinaI agree. Deep prayer feels the same as deep meditation. I think neuroscience has even shown they give the same benefits after doing brain scans on a older monk and a priest. I’m a big proponent of breathing meditation practice. Catholic also teaches different types (praying rosary, etc). I feel that it’s important to understand if your faith align with type of meditation by studying before practicing. I can understand why certain forms of meditation do not align with Christian faith & should be avoided. It’s important to be convicted in our faith but also see how there are meditation practices that don’t conflict with our faith. A lot of yoga in the states isn’t practiced with Hindu spiritual traditions. I feel like for Christians with low discernment, they say to avoid everything but there are secular yoga and meditation that’s done without any spiritual context/teachings that seems appropriate if it’s strengthening your relationship with God & not pulling you to focus on yourself as God/ other Gods.
30 years ago when I was 16 years old, I was wearing a necklace and I don't remember what the symbol was that was on it. But I was at church and we had just finished praise and worship and I sat down and looked down at the floor and saw my charm on the floor but my necklace was still fully intact. Well after the service was over I took that outside and buried it. When the Lord wants us to get rid of things, sometimes He will let us really know like letting us come across these videos, having your charm fall off your necklace supernaturally. And it's not just get rid of things, but I've learned when the Lord speaks, it's time to listen 😊 God bless

Hi! I just ran across your video and I completely understand where you are coming from! I was a witch for 27 years. TWENTY SEVEN YEARS. God started working in my to turn me toward him and I have not looked back. My first church service was Easter of last year and I was saved last August, baptized last month! Praise God! It didn't occur to me right away to dig deep to find these things, stumbling blocks, to throw away. The Holy Ghost convicted me one day and I was like a mad woman tearing my house apart looking for ANYTHING that did not serve the Lord. Let me tell you after 27years of collecting, that was a lot of stuff. I burned anything that would burn , all my books, cards, and notes and papers. I destroyed anything else that wouldn't. I felt freed to the utmost when I let these things go. Still finding things here and there too. I thank God everyday that He saved me. I love coming across people like you that have such a contrasting past to how they live now. I can really relate and feel like God will use our testimonies to help save more souls.
I’m a new believer. Sometimes I feel like a revolving door. I get rid of things that I believe are not of God, then later on I start doubting my life and what I believe in, then I accumulate more things, come back to God, throw them out, etc. I also tend to hoard some things so throwing out anything in general can be a challenge. Sometimes I wonder if I pushed myself away from God because I got too carried away with trying to do the right thing, realizing that is a very high standard to set for myself. Now, I’m trying to be more patient with myself and trying to learn about God in an authentic way and not falling into a frenzy. Anyway, I enjoyed this video; thanks for sharing.

i understand what you mean of going in weird circles- there was a time in my life where I exclusively stopped listening to secular music and I remember deleting each song from my playlist that was secular and it was hard, (especially because secular music is like everywhere even if your not playing it yourself). But then I slowly overtime loss the conviction and started listening to secular music, I pick and choose- but I got deeper into it, now I don't listen to much music cause of storage space-I only listen to Florence Pugh's songs and covers now-but that was mainly because of my limited storage lol) looking back I don't think I was the best version of myself when l didn't listen to secular music -I think i was-well i was very judgmental of people and now i see that could be a religious spirit. So I agree with you in trying to learn about God in an authentic way and not falling into a frenzy and being patient with yourself!

Some people say even gospel music can still present the same issues because some of the gospel artists aren’t keeping God as the main focus. Idk, I don’t know anyone’s heart. I will leave that to them and God, and pray for discernment for myself. Can I live a life without music? I love music. But then I wondered if I love music more than I love God. Im taking a look at any idols in my life and trying to focus on what’s most important. So, I’m just going to continue on my journey and seek God the best way I can.
Quick question about not having statues of angels or saints: If it's sinful, why does God command the Israelites to build the ark of the covenant with two cherubims (aka, angels) made of gold on the ends of the mercy seat. Exodus 25: 17-20: "You shall make a mercy seat of pure gold; two and a half cubits shall be its length and a cubit and a half its width. And you shall make two cherubim of gold; of hammered work you shall make them at the two ends of the mercy seat. Make one cherub at one end, and the other cherub at the other end; you shall make the cherubim at the two ends of it of one piece with the mercy seat. And the cherubim shall stretch out their wings above, covering the mercy seat with their wings, and they shall face one another; the faces of the cherubim shall be toward the mercy seat." If having statues of angels was a sin, God is either commanding the Israelites to sin, meaning He is collaborating in sin, or having statues of angels wasn't a sin before, but is now, to which I would say, show me the verse in the Bible. As a side note, praying to saints in the Catholic tradition is asking for their intercession, asking them to pray for us, just like we would ask other people to pray for us, not worshipping them. We have statues and icons of saints because it reminds us of how God's holiness worked in them, reminds us to aspire to be obedient to God as they were, and gives us a window into Heaven.
Do you notice the difference between who told the Israelites to make the Ark of the Covenant, and who told you to pray to saints for intercession? There is no direct instruction/recommendation or requirement to pray via Mary, or the saints in the Bible. The Ark of the Covenant meant the physical presence of God with them, wherever they went. They didn't worship the Ark itself, but it was God who gave it it's wonder, not the Ark itself. When you pray to the saints/Mary, who answers back to you? Is it God, or do the saints come back to you with answers/results? In my view, if someone puts anything before God, other than Jesus and the Holy Spirit, you leave room for something else to interfere with your connection with God (I fail at this sometimes too, when it comes to entertainment, music, life choices etc, I am just as accountable). As I used to be in New Age circles until Jesus delivered me. It is very similar to saying "If I hold onto this crystal, then I will get X,Y,Z". I am intending that I need that crystal/object before I can receive something. Which is technically the same as putting faith in that object to bring me closer to the desired outcome, it then becomes a hindrance, and a needless object, but opens the door for un-clean spirits and misinterpretation. So, I would also relate that to someone praying to a "saint" before reaching out to Jesus, as they do not have faith enough in Jesus, so they will ask someone else to go on their behalf. You end up having more contact with "Saints" and "Mary" than direct relation with Jesus. In the New Testament, we don't see the poor, the ill, the sinner following Mary or the apostles? They are all seeking Jesus for their healing and to learn from Him directly, this is why I find it difficult to accept why Catholic tradition is adamant that you should pray through Mary and the saints, as it requires "tradition" or extra-Biblical sources to be justified in Catholicism. I dearly love and respect all those who practice btw, it's the deception and misleading doctrines I am against. Jesus died on the cross for you personally, God wants that relationship with you directly, not through someone/something else, He made that possible through Jesus, taking that punishment for us on the cross, so when you believe, the Holy Spirit will dwell within you and keep you on the narrow path. Jesus is the way, the truth and the life, and nobody goes to the Father except through Him. We are saved by His grace, through faith alone. Not with the additional need to "do" anything or ask anyone on our behalf. Does that make sense?
Intercessory prayer, for one another, not just us to Jesus (old Testament didn't know Him yet) is ALL Over the Bible. We Are meant to ask faith peers and family, etc to Pray for Us. That's all any involvement with praying to saints is, intercessory. "PRAY FOR US" It is NOT praise Or worship Of them - those are for God alone. It is asking for them to pray for Us. Do you imply praise or Worship towards a faith peer or family member when you ask them to pray for you?🤔 Without an understanding of the Communion of Saints, its hard to comprehend what that means, exactly. With immediate judgement after death, that means immediate admittance into heaven, purgatory, or hell. Our souls don't just chill in nowhere land til the 2nd coming, we get judged immediately after death, our individual judgements. The Mass judgement occurs at the 2nd coming, the end of new souls coming into existence, the end of individual judgements, everyone is Only in heaven or hell after that. To speak to keeping Marian or Saint pictures and statues is akin to keeping photos of family and friends in order to remember them and pray for them or ask their intercession for us (if they're in heaven, they'd be wonderful crusaders to our cause in front of God Himself, right?) There is NO WORSHIP of any saint of angel, they are as reminders to us to how best live our lives, trusting God, and ask for their prayers - the actual soul itself - no one believes the Statue or Picture hears you. This means that souls deemed not only already in heaven, but that they Do intercede on our behalf (with approved miracles to solidify that understanding), Must be cognizant of us and united with us in some way - that soul Cannot he in nowhere land. It IS, therefore, suitable to ask for them to plead our cause to God in His Presence. ALSO, please don't forget where the compilation and approval of the first Bible came from. It's the same authority that professes"the Communion of saints" in the Apostles' and Nicene Creeds. If you're accepting the Bible as a source, you HAVE to be approving of the same authority that Jesus gave to His Rock (and successors) and all things that he proclaims "loosed and bound".

I am a 74 yr young Christian female. Many years ago my life was so good, I had a happy marriage, my 16 yr old daughter was in a good place. I could not have asked for more or better. My husband and I both had great, fulfilling careers, we were very happy. We had just moved into a beautiful home and started decorating. I bought new furniture for my living room and since my decorations had an Asian theme, I purchased a large Buddha and an Asian statue that stood in the floor, about 3.5 ft tall, it probably was some form of god also. Almost from day one of bringing those things into my home, my life started turning around. I lost my job, my beautiful daughter was attacked by a boy from her school and she was brutally raped. My happy marriage started falling apart to the point of divorce. I had no idea why it was happening. Some 30 years later I rededicated my life to the Lord and lived a Christian life. My furniture was put into a storage facility and was vandalized everything that wasn’t destroyed was taken, so when I finally woke up and smelled the coffee, no one had to tell me, I realized that my God is a jealous God and He will not be second to any other god, even a false god!!! I have no idea where those idols ended up, but, I pray the thief didn’t put them in their home or sell them to some unsuspecting person. If I had it to do over, I would have broken them to bits, so no one else would live under that curse. I have since asked God’s forgiveness. I hope this comment helps someone from making that mistake. We have to be so careful in today’s world, there is so much false doctrine out there. Pray daily that Christ will give you a discerning spirit to keep you safe. God bless you all.

How would God allow a daughter to be brutally raped because of the mistake of a parent. Much less a parent who at the time didn't know any better 🥺 These are the types of things I struggle with in Faith.
Praise God, to be honest I know for a fact that alcohol should not be consumed at all, just like we should not be doing drogs.. the bible is clear on keeping a sober mind and any type of strong liquor or wine is just gonna doze you off as any type of drogs. Alcohol specifically IS a portal for demons, anger, rage, frustration and bitterness wether people wanna acklowledge it or not. Every type of unsobering affects everybody not the same, God is personal and so are these addictions/portals personal to each individual. Ultimately it stems from sin, wheter it has been a generational sin within the bloodline or one you started as a person on yourself (these actions and placements also have different affect on each individual) so it is important to seek God when dealing with any of these things and if the Holy Spirit don't convict you of any type of this stuff? Thank you for that. Many many years ago when our children were young (I’m 71), we went to Egypt where I had always secretly wanted to go. How we got there was amazing. We had a wonderful time, the people were so kind and helpful and we ended up in a papyrus shop. One of the paintings was so beautiful and called “the river of life”, nothing outwardly offensive. Long story short it was on our lounge wall and of course everyone admired it. Then some years later we had a physical manifestation of a demon which was attacking our daughter. Help! The church sent a man who had been doing “house cleaning”, for many years. He walked in the door and took one look at the painting and told me to take it off the wall now. I got up on the sofa and as I reached for the painting it came off the wall at me! Even took some plaster off the wall. I got a very big freight. Each of our three children had been given a papyrus with their names supposedly written on them. I had bought a translation of the words, not one read the names or made any sense. I was a new Christian at this point and thought no more about it. He told me to rip up the papyruses and I couldn’t- they physically burnt my hands. There were several other things that needed to go including a 9ct gold ring with a beautiful citrine stone. All of these things cost a lot of money and didn’t manifest immediately but over time. It took 3 days to get rid of this big ugly demon that was sitting in my daughter’s room. I can’t answer why it took so long but I looked it in the eye and knew my ministry. Please listen to what this beautiful young lady has said. Yoga in particular is such an in thing and is the biggest deception of all. Since this I have been used by God to do house cleaning here in South Africa and when I’ve visited the UK. The Bible says “my people perish through lack of knowledge”. If you have watched this video and ignore what she has said then I’m very sorry for you. The price you pay is high. I know. Love and blessings in Jesus Christ’s name.
I dont believe those are the reasons why there would be a demon or attack. The thoughts and intentions within the heart and mind could be the cause of the attack. God did not create Crystal's or papyrus tree paper to be used for evil. None of what you or any other Christian's are claiming are true or make any logical or spiritual sence. Crystal's have a natural healing ability. There is nothing evil with Crystal's that grow from the ground. Also meditation is simply focusing the mind on something in a peaceful state of mind in a quiet place. Meditation on a beautiful thought, a poem, a picture of heaven or the Angel's in your mind is just a example of holy things that is not evil or sinful. This woman is spreading false man made information that has nothing to do with serving god. I reported her video as spam and misleading. It's sad, there is so much false man made teachings such as what this woman is preaching. And how the ENERGIES in our bodies are being seen as evil, when everyone in the world was created with energy systems in the body that keep the organs going for survival, is seen now as demonic and evil. Chakras are energy systems we are all born with. There is a giant lack of information and knowledge this woman does not have, as many Christians assume that in which is holy and godly is evil and demonic in their eyes. The body is the Temple of life. I knew a false apostle who tried shutting down the Kundalini energy systems within each person. It's the connection within all the body parts from the Pineal Gland and Pituitary gland that creates what's called A Natural oil and a body part that is the shape of a eye, and it's all connected to the spinal cord and without it nobody would have spiritual abilities and we would all be dead. People who say they are coming out of the new age and into Jesus Christ are spreading a lot of misinformation from not having studied how the human body works, throughout other religions. None of it is evil, demonic or a sin. But there are people who shake sometimes beacuse they are not taking care of their energy points and centers in the body correctly, and than they assume they are being attacked by a demon, having no understanding or knowledge on what is actually happening to them. All yoga is is stretching to get blood flow and for the muscles to heal, nobody has to do any chanting and nobody needs to call on any other gods or demons to do stretching or exercising. Shaking from the Kundalini or from yoga is from lack of water. I've done my research.

I, an Orthodox Christian, will never stop praying to Theotokos (the mother of God). I ask her, in prayer, to pray for me. Just like how you ask someone to pray for you. Is she not alive in heaven? Did God lie to humanity when he said eternal life?
The mother of God is Mary and we aren’t supposed to pray to her. Just pray to God, Jesus and the Holy Spirit it’s idol worship if you pray to her “But you are my witnesses, O Israel!” says the LORD. “You are my servant. You have been chosen to know me, believe in me, and understand that I alone am God. There is no other God- there never has been, and there never will be. Isaiah 43:10

I had the flower of life printed out and placed it under my bed for protection. Experienced the most traumatic nightmares. I threw it out as soon as I realised what I was involving myself in.
A therapist can deal with deeper issues as your subconscious may have become threatened and revolted against it. Projection is 90% of nightmares and how you view the world. Plus if a family member hates you, they could have sent hate energy your way if you told them about the intention of it. Lastly, you have to see and acknowledge the "stuff" as it's driven away, and you could have experienced purging, and that's no picnic, but I wish you well, and always keep close to God in all things. Dreams communicate deep issues, trauma, wounds, etc. Its possible that it triggered the bad dreams so you would've been able to look at those and activeiy heal them. Its calied shadow work and yes, it needs to hurt and looked at, so it can heal.
You are speaking the truth. I had a book that had symbols of evil. I placed it inside a large bucket outside to burn it. The book wouldn't burn. I kept trying to burn it. The bucket began to shake by it self. I was so scared! I ripped pages out of the book. I commanded that book to burn in Jesus name. The book began burning. Please believe this young lady. She's trying to help you. My comment is true. Nothing is worth keeping something that will open the door for evil to come like an invitation to evil spirits!
Hello. I definitely agree with some of the things that you mentioned. I only found out recently that dream catchers are not a good thing to have around a Christian home. I had one in my room for my entire childhood just as a decoration. I ended up getting rid of it. I do want to give you some info about statues of Jesus’ mother Mary and Saint statues. I am Catholic and know that it is a misconception that Catholics pray to statues, Mother Mary and the Saints. Nothing could be farther from the truth. We have statues of Jesus, Mary and the Saints not to worship them as idols, but rather to remind us that we should be holy like they are. We also do not pray to Mother Mary and the Saints. Rather, we ask them to pray for us like we ask friends and family to pray for us. I say all of this in love. Your video was meant to share wisdom with the information given. I also hope to share some wisdom with the information that I am giving. God bless you!

As a Catholic myself I have to respectfully disagree with you in regards to the statues. While you may use it as a reminder, I’ve been to Catholic Churches where there are kneeling bars built into the railing that’s right in front of the statue. It’s something that has really bothered me the past few years. And we can’t ignore the fact that in Exodus 20:4, it states “ You shall not make for yourself an image in the form of anything in heaven above or on the earth beneath or in the waters below”

I personally kneel before statues in churches in prayer not because I am praying to the statue but because it helps me to concentrate on prayer by seeing the face of Jesus, Mother Mary, etc. If we are not supposed to make ourselves any images of anything of heaven, earth, or in the water, than as Christians we should not have any pictures of family, friends or pieces of artwork of any kind as well. We have to look at verses in the Bible in the correct context. If you continue to read into Exodus 20: 5 it says in relation to creating images “You shall not bow down to them or serve them...” In the Catholic Church we do not bow down and serve the holy images in our homes and churches just like one would not bow down and serve a picture of a family member or a piece of artwork. We bow down and serve God alone. The holy images are a reminder of holiness and can help us concentrate in prayer. I am so glad that we can have a charitable conversation about this. God bless!
It’s so crazy I thought I had gave away everything new age years ago crystals , jewelry, gratitude/ manifest journals, but this weekend I happened to be in my restroom and boom I instantly looked at my sink and I had two lil Buddha heads on them. I never knew they were Buddha heads because I never practiced Buddhism before. I just bought them years ago for aesthetic purpose for a relaxation vibe God will open your eyes if you ask him to. I used to work at a grocery store and one of our regular customers was a known witch. Whenever she came through one of our lines she would either try to put her hands on our hands or come up next to us and put her hands on our shoulders and we learned to avoid her and step away from her when she tried to do that period I always prayed for God's protection against her schemes and I rebuked any evil spirits coming from her. She truly gave me the creeps. She looked like a normal sweet lady but when she started talking I knew there was something not right about her. I watched it yesterday and started thinking about unsaved Family I live with, who keep that kind of things. I was feeling sad about it didn’t know what to do. I remember that my mother in law has the evil eye hanging on the handle of her kitchen window. That was very sad night, after watching your video. I was getting ready to tell her. Now, you would be correct if you mean "worshipping" the saints as in bowing down and asking them to ANSWER our prayers. But never has the Catholic church ever believed Saints answer prayers. I explained why earlier and there is alot of biblical evidence. But I will say that there are some ignorant Catholic people who do "worship" the saints as you say, and put them as the center of their life of faith, which shouldn't be done. I have had to get rid of so many items that my husband and I had accumulated over the years thinking that they were harmless. I feel so much better after knowing my home is filled with only the Holy Spirit. I got rid of movies, games, ornaments, movie paraphernalia, jewelry, clothing and some gifts.
In actuality, it is also a sin to just have too much stuff in general! God expects us to be more frugal with our money. I know I have way more stuff than I need and will ever use. Things just accumulate because we are so busy in our lives.
I just threw a Dream Catcher that I’ve had in my drawer for many years. About a year ago I brought it out of my drawer and put it a container on my dresser even though I’m a Native American I never felt right hanging it up. It was given to my son and had a nice sentiment on the back of the card that described what a dream catcher is for. But after seeing this video, and saying to myself if you mention a dream catcher then I’ll know that I need to let it go even though it was beautifully made. I started to remove the leather around the ring, because it is very nice leather and I I could use it, but the Lord convicted me to throw it all away. Maybe I’ll sleep better now.
We in the group Sewing for Native Nations don't use fabrics, etc with dream catchers, owls, reptiles etc on. It is demonic because it's a tool to take your faith away from God. My grandfather and great grandfathere were in a secret society. I ended up with their paraphernalia. So i remember that I was leaving Christianity into new age and i had to constantly remind myself of everything (mediation hand gestures, chakras and the meanings behind it, crystals and their meanings, etc). It was like I was in school not retaining anything as soon as I looked away, I would forget it. I bought a crystal and I kept up with that thing like it was my phone. I would take it with me in the bathroom and sleep with it and drive with it in the door or on the dashboard. I prayed instead of meditated one night before going to sleep and I “lost” that crystal the next day. (I’m a Christian again and I know that God was blocking me from being “too deep” into it)

An idol is worshiped, a statue of Mary is venerated. This was sorted out once and for all at the Second Council of Nicaea. Protestants continue to claim some sort of special supernatural knowledge of the intentions of Catholics. You have no place to define my acts of devotion, they are between me and God alone. Showing respect to The Blessed Virgin and asking for the intercessory prayer TO GOD from one who LIVES IN CHRIST is not idolatry. It's one thing to venerate, however and I know cause I grew up catholic, people pray to mother Mary. She is just a woman, the best there is but a woman none the less with no super natural power whatsoever. Christians are supposed to pray to the creator himself. But in case you are referring to the rosary, you would be incorrect that catholics are praying TO Mary. You see, in spanish, we say "ruega por nosotros" for each bead in between the mysteries. And, in case you don't know, "ruega por nosotros" is translated to "Pray for us because we are in desperate need" (ruega litterally means beg). We are asking Mary to beg her son Jesus Christ/God for OUR prayers to be answered. In no way, shape, or form, do we ever ask Mary herself to answer our prayers... however, I would like to clarify that there are some ignorant people in the Catholic church, and every church for that matter. There are also people who are clueless and don't understand and do "worship" Mary, as you say. (I know because in my culture, I have seen this ALOT). However, this IS indeed incorrect. You are right about that. However, that is not what is supposed to be done at all. Just want to clarify. All in all, we simply ask Mary to pray FOR us, to beg christ Jesus/God for mercy on our sins on OUR BEHALF. She does NOT answer prayers, so why would we pray TO her. We ask her to pray for us because we believe she is in the presence of God, living, and she is capable of that much, and she loves us as a heavenly mother. Mary is set apart from the prophets just for being the mother of Christ. That's how much Jesus respects and loves his mother. She is not in the position of other saints.

Does this mean that the person, who has sought intercession from his fellow brothers and sisters has SINNED, because he hasn't gone straight to Jesus Christ in prayer? Not in the slightest! Many times in Scripture we are implored to pray together and intercede for one another! I'm sorry I can't provide any scripture on this but if you ask me to provide some I will gladly. In the same way, when people pray to Mary, they pray for her INTERCESSION in the same way one would ask a friend to pray for you! Here's the thought you really ought to consider: Is Mary alive, and able to intercede in the same way my best friend in front of me can intercede? Or is she dead and my pleas are falling on deaf ears, when I could instead seek intercession from someone who is alive and well? I believe that the lack of belief in the saints being alive in heaven, and Mary for that matter is the real bone of contention for protestants. some people like to talk about things they dont understand, Catholics do NOT worship images, they are just items that most of us like to keep because the art work is beautiful or they are objects that have been passed down through generations. Meditation and prayer brings us closer in relationship with God and helps us through difficult times and challenges in life. They encourage us to carry him in our hearts and life throughout every day in our lives. it annoys me when people do no study in the religions they like to critique only to show themselves ignorant of what they speak. Maybe you should look into the early church fathers to understand why Mary is so important. We ask for her intersession to pray for us. We do not pray to the saints. We ask them to intercede for us and pray to God on our behalf. I pray that you one day can know that Mary is your spiritual mother.
As a Catholic myself, I want to clarify that saints aren't specifically prayed to nor is Mary as if in the place of Christ or His father. Saints are more like... Mascots for lack of a better word. They're people who most likely had a specific challenge when they were alive that they fought temptation or loneliness or any of a series of things and then persevered or died because they were told to deny Jesus and they refused and thus we're martyred. They're a way of saying that this person was a teenager who wanted to battle for God, she dressed like a boy to sneak in the battle and she fought for the Church and they burned her at the stake.. (st Joan of arc) my favorite one was an Italian in the middle ages named peregrine who was down right dismissive and mocking to the church in his wild youth. Then he was afflicted with a cancerous lesion on his lower leg and he had a vision of Christ who came down off the crucifix and became life size and touched the wound healing it. He changed his ways and repeated and the first time I noticed anything about him the name caught my attention because my uncle's roommate worked in building downtown where a nest with a newly hatched flock of peregrine falcons had been found and nobody knew how to keep from disturbing them long enough to mature. So I prayed about the birds to God and thy did make it. But when my mom had a breast cancer, I used the image of Jesus healing St Peregrine thus converting him to witness for Christ til his final day I felt like that was something I could focus on while praying about my mom. If you can turn an angry mocking man into a soldier of Christ just think of what you might do for my mom's tumor? And Christ healed her. She died of cancer eventually but over 30 years later at 79 years old. I'm not sure about any angel statues though. Sometimes people top the Christmas tree with them but I guess my family was more of a gold tinsel star family.

This last month I was convicted about a butter knife (of all the things) because it belonged to a dead relative who was into the occult. Amazingly when I decided to get rid of it, I was miraculously gifted a butter knife that had no association . Now that had to be God.
Knives, even butter knives, are used in candle rituals very often, so it might not just be that it belonged to an occultist. It's a good thing you listen to the inner promptings of the Holy Ghost. 💙

As a devout Catholic, I’m actually going to have to disagree with the statement that people “worship” the saints; it’s a very common misconception. We simply honor their devotion to God and ask them to pray for us, we must never worship them, we only venerate them. As a matter of fact, in Exodus, God asks for two statues of cherubim to be placed on top of the Ark of the Covenant, which shield it with their wings. Obviously, the only person we should be worshipping is God, but at the end of the day, we all have our own particular beliefs.

I was getting dressed one day for a special meeting so I picked out a shirt that is adorable that I have worn several times. It has a hippie feel to it and it is sooooo cute. As I was getting it out, suddenly a section of the intricate pattern of the shirt just absolutely jumped out at me and its like I saw it for the first time. It was the eqyptian eye of horus! I was absolutely mortified and in total disbelief that I have had this shirt in my possession for so long and somehow never saw this evil occult symbol right there cleverly worked into the busy design of the garment. Be careful that you know what you are wearing! Why? Because the message that we send out with our clothing is important-I hope nobody ever noticed that horrible eye and just never said anything but secretly wondered if I was actually a Christian. The bible says we are to be careful not to cause other people to stumble. Also what kind of evil was I passively alowing in my life by having that symbol in my closet? The makers of such items are counting on our ignorance to help them spread their agenda and to unknowingly invite evil in. Really LOOK at your clothes especially, make sure there's nothing hidden in plain sight! BTW, I went straight to the garbage and threw that shirt away!
I've been doing what I would call a spiritual cleanse or declutter and can relate. I went through all kinds of things, but it surprised me when I felt the need to get rid of some of my favorite shirts that I had worn for years. It's a process, but it's good.
I got rid of a DVD that we were going to add to our Christmas party raffle prizes. I know I did the right thing! I think you mean well in what you are expressing; I agree with many things you have shared. However, just to clarify misconceptions about religious representations of Mary, saints, etc... I express my beliefs from a Catholic perspective. Catholics don’t worship our images or the saints they portray. We simply honor the saints and use images as physical reminders of spiritual realities, so we are not breaking any divine prohibitions when we incorporate them into our prayer. Just as you may have a picture of someone you love in your home, so too do we... Just as you may ask a pastor, family member, or friend to pray for you, so we too ask the saints to intercede for us. We ask them for their prayers even though we're praying, too, because we believe in the power of prayer. We know that God hears their prayers as well as ours, and we want as many voices as possible asking Him to help us in our time of need. May the Holy Spirit guide us all into truth and reveal God’s thoughts and word to us.
Scripture does not say to ask the Saints in Heaven to pray for us. There is one mediator between God & man. The man, Christ Jesus. 1Timothy 2:5 But we can enlist the intercession of Christians on Earth.
I love how there are also catholics here proving the truth that we do not worship Mary nor idolize her. We just respect and venerate her as the mother of God.

I had a lovely platter that looked like porcelain but was painted metal.I had bought it at a flea market. It was in an antique hutch in the dining room, in a groove to hold plates. Had sat there for years, I was in the kitchen cooking but talking to my sister on the phone. The platter flew out of the hutch knocking other small knick knacks off the shelf.y sister heard it through the phone and said "What was that?" A few months ago it happened again. This time it went to the dumpster!
Guys, this is so true!! My daughters loved to decorate their rooms with dream catchers. They were beautiful and family would buy them too for presents. When I realized how demonic they were and threw them out. My 9th grade daughters depression left and my 10 year old daughters night terrors quit. It happened instantly too. The night terrors were scary as she would scream like someone was always attacking her..like bloody murder. My husband and I would pop up and go consol her till she fell back asleep, even taking her to a sleep clinic to find out why...with no answers. I day I took the off the wall and threw in trash was the first night she slept through the night! To this day, about a year later no night terrors. Also my older daughter, who never went anywhere and slept all the time held up in her room....all of a sudden came out of her shell and is now a social butterfly in her 2nd year Nursing school. Please people this is NO JOKE> ITs REAL.
One time I bought a coloring book of snakes and my father died a few days later. I then donated it to the goodwill and the darn store burned down. Within 6 months the entire fire department got STD's. Also, when I was younger, and in band camp, my counselor wore a tie dye skirt. I actually saw the devil mocking me in the flow of the fabric. I was so scared I called my mom to come and pick be up. On the way home, we passed a farm house with a little midget standing in the front yard holding a pitchfork. Needless to say I never leave my house anymore.
I know a lot of Christians with dream catchers. When I tell them that they are from the Native American witch doctors, they just blow me off and say dream catchers don’t have power. I see the harm they cause, but sadly few people do.
I have a friend that has a booth in a consignment shop and her things always sell every week. One week nothing was selling and God spoke to her directly and said you need to get rid of the dream catcher. She did and now things are back to normal. Good video! Thanks for standing up! ❤

You can say He sent me a sign or a thought, but He did not directly speak to you. You did not hear His voice because His voice can cause eruptions due to His brilliance. i.e. when He made the ten commandments with Moses, the mountain rumbled as He spoke and wrote it into stone. So no. God does not talk to you at all. I believe in God and I know my scriptures and interpretations of those scriptures. I don't need some "lesson" on when I see the light.
I worked in a salon that did reiki years ago. Most people working there were into new age occult stuff. I am highly in tune with my surroundings and I went through a horrible evil attack, and that was before I became a devout Christian. Years later I worked in salon with Hindu and Buddhist completely decorated with there graven images. I again went through an attack. It only made my faith that much stronger. The more valuable you are as a tool for God the more you need to be aware of your surroundings. If God has you to spread His Word the more the Devil is out to get you! Grow your relationship with your Creator, study Gods Words, grow Strong in the Lord. Put on the armor of God and prepare for battle.
Yes i agree. I had pain in my kneck & shoulders for months so decided to go to a massage place. There were lots of hairdresser/beaity salons now that seem to throw in reiki & holistic treatments. Ive never felt comfortable in the places , as im very sensitive to the surroundings
I got rid of a book called Completion Process by Teal Swan - a new age spiritual teacher... I got rid of it before I managed to even read it. Slowly, I'm getting there, there are still things that would probably need to get rid of.... also, my clothing style changed a lot ever since I became a believer in Christ.... I own only some pieces from the past and I don't wear them that much... or I've learnt how to combine my old clothes together to make a better outfit..... This is not someting that I've done intentionally... for me it was a natural process... the deeper I got into the scripture the more my clothing style changed. I believe it's probably the Holy Spirit telling me I need to cover up more.

So true with thrifting, guys be careful when buying and wearing anything 2nd hand. I once bought a skirt and the Holy Spirit warned me and told me not to wear it. Not just clothes but antiques etc. I know it’s more affordable but let God guide you in what to buy.

The Goodwill was my favorite store until I heard a Pastor say to buy everything new (including furniture) because you don’t know who wore the clothes. She told a story of a lady who went to a an Estate/yard sale and bought all the clothes of the deceased women. Come to find out the deceased woman died from cancer and the lady who bought and wore them also got cancer!! After that I never returned to the Goodwill! I got rid of so many clothes (cute ones too!) it hurt to see all that money go down the drain but I knew God convicted me and told me to get rid of them! I was convicted because I believe the Lord was saying to me, “Don’t you trust me to provide for you?” “Don’t you know you are my daughter and I want you to have the best?” So true! Once I stopped shopping second hand, God has provided me with brand new items at deep discounts and cheaper than the Goodwill! The scratching on the other side of the closet stopped! Exactly, this is scary. And most of the comments too... I own some objects from different religions or beliefs around the world (Ganesh statue, Shinto ema tablets, Bouddha amulets, dreamcatcher, Kachina doll...). I have huge respect for them, they remind me that beliefs are universal and don’t belong to just one religion.
As a former witch, I must say, an item only has as much power as your BELIEF in that thing. Alone, it is just an object. However if that object makes you want to keep doing something that is against God, get rid of it. I keep crystals but don't use them. I ditched my witchy books, and my bell and other items I used in the craft. God led me back to Him through faith and prayer not THINGS I used to use to pray but also have the extra bits n bobs to jazz up a prayer. I prayed to God through Jesus since 2009 but with incense, crystals, and oils... and now I JUST PRAY. It is a relief to be rid of the ritual of THINGS. Scott Cunningham was right- you don't need fancy tools. But the Bible is right as well- Have Faith and God WILL Provide. Give us this day our daily bread, Lord! Thank you!
@iamme4882 not all. Most pray to whatever god or goddess they want and blend pantheon. It's extremely varied. What is a fact no matter which type of witch you meet is, it's all about belief. Salt is a protective element for instance and the 5 pointed star inside a circle is protective symbol- but if another witch uses hoodoo and uses other sigils as protective symbols, my pentagram or pentacle may not protect me against someone who doesn't believe it. So there's a LOT of nuance when it comes to the craft. Many can even say well for ME all blue crystals are more air-like and not a water element so I'm personally going to have x crystal do this though a book says otherwise. It's definitely not a situation of all witches are like. Including ethics. The 3 fold law and the "harm none" isn't followed by all either. Me- I never did stuff for others, mostly protective for me and my family, and I always stayed away from divination of all types (including tarot cards and Ouija boards). I never trusted them as they CAN be benign but they can also be tools used in BAD ways. They are always GATEWAYS though for sure. That is crossing boundaries and not okay to do to others belongings. It should've been his choice to eventually come to after conversation about it, not yours. Many things can have demons enter, alcohol, reading, watching TV, and what do you do if it happens? Reject it in Jesus's name. I have nothing to fear from meditating.

When I was in my early 20's two of my best friends (they didn't know each other) at the time convinced me to get rid of my astrology books, I did it. I felt upset at the time because I had spent so much money on these books and I really had an attachment to them, but the Holy Spirit did show me that astrology was a form of witchcraft. I'm very glad now that I got rid of them.

We *respect* them, and ask them to pray *with* us to the *one* Lord God Almighty, but we don’t worship them. For example, in the prayer “Hail Mary”, which is used 53 times in a rosary (along with 6 “Our Father”s, 5 “Glory Be”s, and 1 “Apostles’ Creed”), we pray “Holy Mary, mother of God, *pray for us sinners*”. Please educate yourself on different denominations before posting something like this sister

My family is steeped in freemasonry. I was in Job's daughter's and had a lot of expensive jewelry and paraphernalia associated with it.I I was convicted to renounce this and get rid of the stuff and thought I could take the jewelry and have it melted down to make something nice. I heard distinctly it had to be destroyed. I took it to the garage and hammered it to pieces and threw it away. Years later my dad - a high up mason - gave me a death mask of himself he made in college. I took it so as not to disappoint him, but kept it in the garage. Later there were manifestations that I was shown were coming because of this piece. Again, I took my hammer and smashed it and threw it away. Now, I am not a devil under every bush kind of person, but there is definitely truth in what this young lady is saying. We live in a country without restrictions and so self control is something we need to learn as to what is acceptable to God and what is not and then DO what we know. PS. All Disney stuff has to do with magic and witchcraft. It is not "cute" family entertainment.
This was a great teaching tool. When I purged my home years ago of these things I also included books and movies that had any content not considered wholesome. I threw out a lot!! I was a horror movie fan and ghost hunter watcher but am so glad I purged my life of all that dark weight .
I too loved watching ghost reality TV as a Christian but one night I had a dream there was a black evil entity standing in the corner of my bedroom. I noticed that she didn't say anything about icons, but I'm guessing she would apply the same sentiment to icons as she does to statues. Friends, you should know that St. Luke, who wrote the books of Luke and Acts, also painted icons of Jesus' mother, for veneration. If you do not venerate Mary, you do not have the faith of St. Luke, which is the faith of the Apostles, that is the true Christian faith. Protestant friends, you might have a nice turkey sandwich there, and that's fine, but you're missing out on the turkey dinner. Find an Orthodox Church in your area, and share in our services. Many non Orthodox don't understand the theology of Iconography. That it's purpose is to testify the Incarnation of the Logos, To remind us of holiness and the communion of the Saints. It's beautiful and spiritually rich, but unless they have the Orthodox phronema they won't see it 🖤
So, How many of us celebrate Christmas? How many of you are willing to give it up? The Christmas celebration is the biggest idol we willingly bring into our homes and pass on to our offspring. When I found out what the Christmas celebration truly was, I was devastated. It was my favorite holiday. I looked forward to Christmas all year long. All of the togetherness and love I experienced with my family during this holiday was so cherished by me and my entire family. To find out that it is a pagan festival with many different incarnations hurt me to my heart. To find out that Christmas was a bargaining chip for Emperor Constantine to get the pagans to convert to Christianity and has nothing to do with a celebration of the birth of our Savior, Jesus Christ makes me question my entire existence. My heart aches with the pain of being duped for most of my life and the loss of the most joyful & beautiful time of the year for me. *Do your own research on this holiday. It is fascinating but so disappointing.
Stay away from estate sales, especially if you don't know the person who passed . Spirits can attach to objects; so be careful buying items at these sales. Also be careful of music that you listen to, because there is music specifically used to invoke spirits. There are also symbols that are used to call spirits. I just threw away a decoration, a velveteen pumpkin that I bought at Goodwill. I felt it served no purpose. I didn't want anyone else to have the same attachment to it. It went into the dumpster along with a large dream catcher made by an in-law.

I see a lot of people making the excuse that THEY don’t find the same meaning in items that are associated with idolatry or witchcraft. I can tell you right now, in REALITY no one cares what you’re intent is. If you wear a certain symbol that has a specific meaning in the wrong neighborhood there are deadly consequences regardless of your intent. I doubt it’s less strict in the spiritual world.

i hardly have any desire for the same forms of entertainment i used to just love. i also find them trite and stupid, as well as offensive to God and everyone. i also became unable to enjoy alcohol and get drunk the last yr or so, and had horrible stomach and bowel problems and horrible moods where i felt i was in a deep, dark hole. thank you Jesus for taking those things away from me, as well as lust, certain dirty or cynical humor, and using the Lords name in vain. i do struggle with cursing and anger, but my conscience is eventually gonna win out thanks to the Holy Spirit! alcohol is not harmless--why take the gamble.
I put a dream catcher above my bed when I was a teenager and had a few nightmares. I took it down and never bothered with them again. Years later, I drew runic symbols for healing and place it above my bed. Almost immediately I had a health crisis that sent me to the hospital several times. My health was horrible for months. I was not even a Christian at the time, and I knew they were bad news! These occult symbols are evil and should not be messed with.
To me, all the items Ruocca lists are obvious to get rid of. But they do need to be mentioned. I used to be kind of a hippie and I got rid of anything and everything hippie-related, like iye dye shirts and hippie music and anything hippie-related because they represent drug and alcohol use and things created from an altered state of mind. agree, it used to be harder to get rid of these things, but not as much now. i no longer do ' holi days or even birthdays, it's unescescary and prideful. no pictures on walls, no photos or certain cards. I like coloring but will avoid the mandella type pictures, anything " zen' like. lotuses, etc. a friend gave me a couple plates cuz I had none, but they have mandella designs on them so I got some different ones and want to get rid of the first ones, was a bit worried she'd be offended if I gave them back, but she is aware of my beliefs and avoidance of certain things. I've explained to her why I don't have certain items etc in the house. I pray she gets free of the new age stuff she's into. I don't feel comfortable going into her place because of items there. I don't even miss having these things around, don't even notice anymore. it's just garbage, takes up space. no keepsakes to " remember" people or events by, that's how idolatry begins. Adultery and Idolatry are similar in that their both about being unfaithful, Adultery is being unfaithful to spouse and institution created by God, and idolatry is being unfaithful to God. A lot easier to clean too! though I do read secular books from the library, that's probably gotta stop too. AS I'm a bit disabled and cannot walk or go out much, it's hard to stay occupied, especially in winter.

Some years back I too came to this realzation that I needed to rid my house of items that I felt were against God and items that were an invitation to allow evil to enter my home. The things I discarded, when originally purchased, seemed harmless. As my children grew into adulthood I realized that I had not protected them in a godly way. My son used to read goose bumps and liked scary movies - please do not allow this no matter how innocent you are led to believe it is. When certain things began to take place, I feel I was led by the holy spirit to clean house. I filled a large trash bag or two with anything related to Halloween. To own a "fall decoration" like a pumpkin I feel is fine, but costumes, decore, spiders, anything like that you would decorate for "Halloween" must go! I also agree that if anything about an item does not bring you peace, by all means get it out of your house as soon as possible. Thank you again for this most informative video.

Yes! .. it is extremely irritating to hear people say 'Happy Halloween'! .. especially when they say it to me. Halloween is an ancient pagan tradition that needs to go but sadly seems to grow bigger every year. A very dear friend, an absolute pure soul had just lost his precious baby girl and later married a beautiful sweet girl and deserved all the joy he could be given ... was brutally, viciously murdered. His injuries were so horrendous they had to have a closed coffin funeral. Not even two weeks later i walked into my fave grocery store and was horrified to see a real coffin on display with a lifelike man in it with an ax in his disfigured face as a halloween decor. I couldn't believe what i was seeing! To make fun of people who died, murdered horribly who didn't want to die that way and suffered beyond human comprehension was so deeply disrepectful that it made me sick physically and spiritually. I went to the manager and told him "this is not funny and i will NEVER shop here ever again." And i never went there ever again.
My mom was always very against Halloween. I didn’t believe her until I was in my early 20’s. Every single year, I would get into a car accident. So I stopped celebrating it. I hope my baby isn’t too disappointed when I don’t let her dress up :/
What if I just like collecting things for the historical context? Also, I think all Christians should own a copy of the Torah and Quran. Being familiar with and understanding what other religions and cultures believe(d) is an important part of having true faith I believe. The flower of life is a mathematical fact. Having a true understanding of the details of the earth and universe is a way of appreciating gods creation. There is evidence the Jesus spent many years traveling the orient and India prayer is meditation is “manifest” is karma is yin Yang. All are the same concept and all are only effective when done purely and properly. I have a large collection of different religious and even some occult books and items. (Know your “enemy” or at least have an understanding of the actual beliefs of the major beliefs systems. Do you happen to ever “talk to” a Deceased family member or have photos of them in your home? Have you ever asked a friend to pray for you in a situation? Catholics don’t pray to saints or Mary the way we pray to our Savior, we ask them to pray for us, we are not worshiping them just to be clear.
They are still idols of people that are no longer living...if you read the Word of God, the New Testament talks about the dead. Talks about when Jesus comes at rapture and the dead will rise then those of us that alive will join him to go to heaven...no one but Jesus and the angels and God himself are in heaven. All of us believers WILL be in heaven at that time....the dead is laid to rest at time of death, so their "spirits" are not roaming around. What people actually see or hear are demonic spirits

I used to be a Catholic and without reading the word of god for myself I thought keeping religious statues was ok but after studying the word I saw that I was wrong. God should comfort you not a statue. The word says the Holy Spirit is our comforter not s statue. That statue is not the Virgin Mary. Yes she deserves to be honored but s statue that doesn’t even look like her she lived way before that statue was created , that’s not even her its not honour it’s idol worship. I bought the most beautiful feminine dream catcher from an Indian reservation several years ago. Unexplained things started to happen, along with dead meat odors and a lot of arguing and fighting in my family. My son suggested we burn it, and I believe things got better.

We Catholics have little statues of our Blessed Mother Mary as well as the Angels and all because it serves as a reminder of what happened back then..the way you keep pictures to remember some events is the same way we use them for their remembrance. A statue of Mary is not an idol. Catholics do not worship Mary. We love her. A statue is a 3d image of her. We pray to saints to help us in a specific area. They don't just sit pretty in heaven they have work to do. Catholic means universal. Their job is to help as many people as they can get to heaven. It's like speaking to a loved one whom has passed.

When my mother died nearly two years ago, I plucked some of her hair from her head when I was laying beside her in her hospital bed. Idk why I did, I’ve never heard or seen this done but I was so heartbroken I just wanted a part of her to remain with me. I later had my sister put the hair in resin along with some glitter and made a pendant. I’ve recently re-submitted my life to Christ and have been attentive to His word. Last week I felt the Holy Spirit convict me and tell me to get rid of the pendant I made. I held onto it for a week and yesterday I finally threw it away. Before tossing it I looked at it and I noticed some of her hair was starting to protrude out from the pendant😳. Idk what that was about but I’m glad it’s gone. I had a bunch of old pictures in a box. Some good, but most of me partying and getting wild. The Lord told me to get rid of them. So I burned them. Then the Lord told me to delete every selfie of me off of my Facebook page. It took 7 hours to do that. I realized that day that I’m very vain. A couple weeks later, He had me get off Facebook altogether. There was no longer a reason to have it if I wasn’t going to post selfies, debate people about politics/religion, or brag lol Praise God, He broke those chains.

It all depends how you use it, if you use it for the Glory of God. I use Facebook mostly to share Bible verses. I once deactivated for a while and I had people message me they miss the Bible verse I post, so I activated and still posting Bible verses.
I used to wear evil eyes, yin yangs, hamsa symbols, and all of that. Every single time I wore that stuff I felt weighed down, depressed, anxious, and incredibly self conscious. One day something told me “don’t put them on” and I didn’t, I have not felt that light and happy in so long! Ever since I stopped wearing those things my severe depression and anxiety went away and it’s amazing!

There's nothing wrong with having a yoga mat or blocks etc. I don't do yoga but I often use these tools for physiotherapy (which I need to do). I think it's kind of dangerous making people scared of things like that. Fair enough about symbols and stuff but a plain yoga mat is a sheet of foam to cushion your joints when stretching and exercising - which is very healthy! I don't believe God would want us to injure ourselves just because of fear of these sorts of items.

In my belief there's nothing wrong with yoga or meditation, as long you aren't worshipping other gods by doing it. When studying religion in college, I realized then that meditation practices in Buddha could be beneficial to your health. And no I'm talking about praying or worshipping Buddha. I'm talking about relaxing and clearing your head, there's nothing evil about that. I once heard someone say that when we pray that's us talking to God. When we meditate that's when we listen to God. We all have to do what we personally feel convicted to do.

@@SharronCarolinaI agree. Deep prayer feels the same as deep meditation. I think neuroscience has even shown they give the same benefits after doing brain scans on a older monk and a priest. I’m a big proponent of breathing meditation practice. Catholic also teaches different types (praying rosary, etc). I feel that it’s important to understand if your faith align with type of meditation by studying before practicing. I can understand why certain forms of meditation do not align with Christian faith & should be avoided. It’s important to be convicted in our faith but also see how there are meditation practices that don’t conflict with our faith. A lot of yoga in the states isn’t practiced with Hindu spiritual traditions. I feel like for Christians with low discernment, they say to avoid everything but there are secular yoga and meditation that’s done without any spiritual context/teachings that seems appropriate if it’s strengthening your relationship with God & not pulling you to focus on yourself as God/ other Gods.
30 years ago when I was 16 years old, I was wearing a necklace and I don't remember what the symbol was that was on it. But I was at church and we had just finished praise and worship and I sat down and looked down at the floor and saw my charm on the floor but my necklace was still fully intact. Well after the service was over I took that outside and buried it. When the Lord wants us to get rid of things, sometimes He will let us really know like letting us come across these videos, having your charm fall off your necklace supernaturally. And it's not just get rid of things, but I've learned when the Lord speaks, it's time to listen 😊 God bless

Hi! I just ran across your video and I completely understand where you are coming from! I was a witch for 27 years. TWENTY SEVEN YEARS. God started working in my to turn me toward him and I have not looked back. My first church service was Easter of last year and I was saved last August, baptized last month! Praise God! It didn't occur to me right away to dig deep to find these things, stumbling blocks, to throw away. The Holy Ghost convicted me one day and I was like a mad woman tearing my house apart looking for ANYTHING that did not serve the Lord. Let me tell you after 27years of collecting, that was a lot of stuff. I burned anything that would burn , all my books, cards, and notes and papers. I destroyed anything else that wouldn't. I felt freed to the utmost when I let these things go. Still finding things here and there too. I thank God everyday that He saved me. I love coming across people like you that have such a contrasting past to how they live now. I can really relate and feel like God will use our testimonies to help save more souls.

I’m a new believer. Sometimes I feel like a revolving door. I get rid of things that I believe are not of God, then later on I start doubting my life and what I believe in, then I accumulate more things, come back to God, throw them out, etc. I also tend to hoard some things so throwing out anything in general can be a challenge. Sometimes I wonder if I pushed myself away from God because I got too carried away with trying to do the right thing, realizing that is a very high standard to set for myself. Now, I’m trying to be more patient with myself and trying to learn about God in an authentic way and not falling into a frenzy. Anyway, I enjoyed this video; thanks for sharing.

i understand what you mean of going in weird circles- there was a time in my life where I exclusively stopped listening to secular music and I remember deleting each song from my playlist that was secular and it was hard, (especially because secular music is like everywhere even if your not playing it yourself). But then I slowly overtime loss the conviction and started listening to secular music, I pick and choose- but I got deeper into it, now I don't listen to much music cause of storage space-I only listen to Florence Pugh's songs and covers now-but that was mainly because of my limited storage lol) looking back I don't think I was the best version of myself when l didn't listen to secular music -I think i was-well i was very judgmental of people and now i see that could be a religious spirit. So I agree with you in trying to learn about God in an authentic way and not falling into a frenzy and being patient with yourself!

Quick question about not having statues of angels or saints: If it's sinful, why does God command the Israelites to build the ark of the covenant with two cherubims (aka, angels) made of gold on the ends of the mercy seat. Exodus 25: 17-20: "You shall make a mercy seat of pure gold; two and a half cubits shall be its length and a cubit and a half its width. And you shall make two cherubim of gold; of hammered work you shall make them at the two ends of the mercy seat. Make one cherub at one end, and the other cherub at the other end; you shall make the cherubim at the two ends of it of one piece with the mercy seat. And the cherubim shall stretch out their wings above, covering the mercy seat with their wings, and they shall face one another; the faces of the cherubim shall be toward the mercy seat." If having statues of angels was a sin, God is either commanding the Israelites to sin, meaning He is collaborating in sin, or having statues of angels wasn't a sin before, but is now, to which I would say, show me the verse in the Bible. As a side note, praying to saints in the Catholic tradition is asking for their intercession, asking them to pray for us, just like we would ask other people to pray for us, not worshipping them. We have statues and icons of saints because it reminds us of how God's holiness worked in them, reminds us to aspire to be obedient to God as they were, and gives us a window into Heaven.

Do you notice the difference between who told the Israelites to make the Ark of the Covenant, and who told you to pray to saints for intercession? There is no direct instruction/recommendation or requirement to pray via Mary, or the saints in the Bible. The Ark of the Covenant meant the physical presence of God with them, wherever they went. They didn't worship the Ark itself, but it was God who gave it it's wonder, not the Ark itself.
When you pray to the saints/Mary, who answers back to you? Is it God, or do the saints come back to you with answers/results?
In my view, if someone puts anything before God, other than Jesus and the Holy Spirit, you leave room for something else to interfere with your connection with God (I fail at this sometimes too, when it comes to entertainment, music, life choices etc, I am just as accountable). As I used to be in New Age circles until Jesus delivered me. It is very similar to saying "If I hold onto this crystal, then I will get X,Y,Z". I am intending that I need that crystal/object before I can receive something. Which is technically the same as putting faith in that object to bring me closer to the desired outcome, it then becomes a hindrance, and a needless object, but opens the door for un-clean spirits and misinterpretation.
So, I would also relate that to someone praying to a "saint" before reaching out to Jesus, as they do not have faith enough in Jesus, so they will ask someone else to go on their behalf. You end up having more contact with "Saints" and "Mary" than direct relation with Jesus. In the New Testament, we don't see the poor, the ill, the sinner following Mary or the apostles? They are all seeking Jesus for their healing and to learn from Him directly, this is why I find it difficult to accept why Catholic tradition is adamant that you should pray through Mary and the saints, as it requires "tradition" or extra-Biblical sources to be justified in Catholicism. I dearly love and respect all those who practice btw, it's the deception and misleading doctrines I am against.
Jesus died on the cross for you personally, God wants that relationship with you directly, not through someone/something else, He made that possible through Jesus, taking that punishment for us on the cross, so when you believe, the Holy Spirit will dwell within you and keep you on the narrow path. Jesus is the way, the truth and the life, and nobody goes to the Father except through Him. We are saved by His grace, through faith alone. Not with the additional need to "do" anything or ask anyone on our behalf. Does that make sense?
Intercessory prayer, for one another, not just us to Jesus (old Testament didn't know Him yet) is ALL Over the Bible.
We Are meant to ask faith peers and family, etc to Pray for Us.
That's all any involvement with praying to saints is, intercessory.

Without an understanding of the Communion of Saints, its hard to comprehend what that means, exactly.
With immediate judgement after death, that means immediate admittance into heaven, purgatory, or hell.
Our souls don't just chill in nowhere land til the 2nd coming, we get judged immediately after death, our individual judgements. The Mass judgement occurs at the 2nd coming, the end of new souls coming into existence, the end of individual judgements, everyone is Only in heaven or hell after that.
To speak to keeping Marian or Saint pictures and statues is akin to keeping photos of family and friends in order to remember them and pray for them or ask their intercession for us (if they're in heaven, they'd be wonderful crusaders to our cause in front of God Himself, right?) There is NO WORSHIP of any saint of angel, they are as reminders to us to how best live our lives, trusting God, and ask for their prayers - the actual soul itself - no one believes the Statue or Picture hears you.
This means that souls deemed not only already in heaven, but that they Do intercede on our behalf (with approved miracles to solidify that understanding), Must be cognizant of us and united with us in some way - that soul Cannot he in nowhere land.
It IS, therefore, suitable to ask for them to plead our cause to God in His Presence.
ALSO, please don't forget where the compilation and approval of the first Bible came from.
It's the same authority that professes"the Communion of saints" in the Apostles' and Nicene Creeds.
If you're accepting the Bible as a source, you HAVE to be approving of the same authority that Jesus gave to His Rock (and successors) and all things that he proclaims "loosed and bound".

I am a 74 yr young Christian female. Many years ago my life was so good, I had a happy marriage, my 16 yr old daughter was in a good place. I could not have asked for more or better. My husband and I both had great, fulfilling careers, we were very happy. We had just moved into a beautiful home and started decorating. I bought new furniture for my living room and since my decorations had an Asian theme, I purchased a large Buddha and an Asian statue that stood in the floor, about 3.5 ft tall, it probably was some form of god also. Almost from day one of bringing those things into my home, my life started turning around. I lost my job, my beautiful daughter was attacked by a boy from her school and she was brutally raped. My happy marriage started falling apart to the point of divorce. I had no idea why it was happening. Some 30 years later I rededicated my life to the Lord and lived a Christian life. My furniture was put into a storage facility and was vandalized everything that wasn’t destroyed was taken, so when I finally woke up and smelled the coffee, no one had to tell me, I realized that my God is a jealous God and He will not be second to any other god, even a false god!!! I have no idea where those idols ended up, but, I pray the thief didn’t put them in their home or sell them to some unsuspecting person. If I had it to do over, I would have broken them to bits, so no one else would live under that curse. I have since asked God’s forgiveness. I hope this comment helps someone from making that mistake. We have to be so careful in today’s world, there is so much false doctrine out there. Pray daily that Christ will give you a discerning spirit to keep you safe. God bless you all.

Thank you for that. Many many years ago when our children were young (I’m 71), we went to Egypt where I had always secretly wanted to go. How we got there was amazing. We had a wonderful time, the people were so kind and helpful and we ended up in a papyrus shop. One of the paintings was so beautiful and called “the river of life”, nothing outwardly offensive. Long story short it was on our lounge wall and of course everyone admired it. Then some years later we had a physical manifestation of a demon which was attacking our daughter. Help! The church sent a man who had been doing “house cleaning”, for many years. He walked in the door and took one look at the painting and told me to take it off the wall now. I got up on the sofa and as I reached for the painting it came off the wall at me! Even took some plaster off the wall. I got a very big freight. Each of our three children had been given a papyrus with their names supposedly written on them. I had bought a translation of the words, not one read the names or made any sense. I was a new Christian at this point and thought no more about it. He told me to rip up the papyruses and I couldn’t- they physically burnt my hands. There were several other things that needed to go including a 9ct gold ring with a beautiful citrine stone. All of these things cost a lot of money and didn’t manifest immediately but over time. It took 3 days to get rid of this big ugly demon that was sitting in my daughter’s room. I can’t answer why it took so long but I looked it in the eye and knew my ministry. Please listen to what this beautiful young lady has said. Yoga in particular is such an in thing and is the biggest deception of all. Since this I have been used by God to do house cleaning here in South Africa and when I’ve visited the UK. The Bible says “my people perish through lack of knowledge”. The body is the Temple of life. I knew a false apostle who tried shutting down the Kundalini energy systems within each person. It's the connection within all the body parts from the Pineal Gland and Pituitary gland that creates what's called A Natural oil and a body part that is the shape of a eye, and it's all connected to the spinal cord and without it nobody would have spiritual abilities and we would all be dead. People who say they are coming out of the new age and into Jesus Christ are spreading a lot of misinformation from not having studied how the human body works, throughout other religions. None of it is evil, demonic or a sin. But there are people who shake sometimes beacuse they are not taking care of their energy points and centers in the body correctly, and than they assume they are being attacked by a demon, having no understanding or knowledge on what is actually happening to them. All yoga is is stretching to get blood flow and for the muscles to heal, nobody has to do any chanting and nobody needs to call on any other gods or demons to do stretching or exercising. Shaking from the Kundalini or from yoga is from lack of water. I've done my research.

I had the flower of life printed out and placed it under my bed for protection. Experienced the most traumatic nightmares. I threw it out as soon as I realised what I was involving myself in.
A therapist can deal with deeper issues as your subconscious may have become threatened and revolted against it. Projection is 90% of nightmares and how you view the world. Plus if a family member hates you, they could have sent hate energy your way if you told them about the intention of it. Lastly, you have to see and acknowledge the "stuff" as it's driven away, and you could have experienced purging, and that's no picnic, but I wish you well, and always keep close to God in all things. Hello. I definitely agree with some of the things that you mentioned. I only found out recently that dream catchers are not a good thing to have around a Christian home. I had one in my room for my entire childhood just as a decoration. I ended up getting rid of it. I do want to give you some info about statues of Jesus’ mother Mary and Saint statues. I am Catholic and know that it is a misconception that Catholics pray to statues, Mother Mary and the Saints. Nothing could be farther from the truth. We have statues of Jesus, Mary and the Saints not to worship them as idols, but rather to remind us that we should be holy like they are. We also do not pray to Mother Mary and the Saints. Rather, we ask them to pray for us like we ask friends and family to pray for us. I say all of this in love. Your video was meant to share wisdom with the information given. As a Catholic myself I have to respectfully disagree with you in regards to the statues. While you may use it as a reminder, I’ve been to Catholic Churches where there are kneeling bars built into the railing that’s right in front of the statue. It’s something that has really bothered me the past few years.
And we can’t ignore the fact that in Exodus 20:4, it states “ You shall not make for yourself an image in the form of anything in heaven above or on the earth beneath or in the waters below”

I personally kneel before statues in churches in prayer not because I am praying to the statue but because it helps me to concentrate on prayer by seeing the face of Jesus, Mother Mary, etc. If we are not supposed to make ourselves any images of anything of heaven, earth, or in the water, than as Christians we should not have any pictures of family, friends or pieces of artwork of any kind as well. We have to look at verses in the Bible in the correct context. If you continue to read into Exodus 20: 5 it says in relation to creating images “You shall not bow down to them or serve them...” In the Catholic Church we do not bow down and serve the holy images in our homes and churches just like one would not bow down and serve a picture of a family member or a piece of artwork. It’s so crazy I thought I had gave away everything new age years ago crystals , jewelry, gratitude/ manifest journals, but this weekend I happened to be in my restroom and boom I instantly looked at my sink and I had two lil Buddha heads on them. I used to work at a grocery store and one of our regular customers was a known witch. Whenever she came through one of our lines she would either try to put her hands on our hands or come up next to us and put her hands on our shoulders and we learned to avoid her and step away from her when she tried to do that period I always prayed for God's protection against her schemes and I rebuked any evil spirits coming from her. She truly gave me the creeps. She looked like a normal sweet lady but when she started talking I knew there was something not right about her. If she disagreed with somebody in our line she would tell them she was going to put a curse on them. I thank the Lord for protecting me from her.

Also, faith is not something that can be practiced on one's own. Sometimes, people can be intimidated by simply asking Jesus. So, asking saints such as Mary to present your prayers to HIM in HEAVEN (because they, the saints, are THERE according to the bible) can make it less "intimidating" per se.
Now, you would be correct if you mean "worshipping" the saints as in bowing down and asking them to ANSWER our prayers. But never has the Catholic church ever believed Saints answer prayers. And before you say, "Oh, that's literally what you're doing because you're praying to them," then you would be incorrect, and you are ignorant or are just biased. I explained why earlier and there is alot of biblical evidence. But I will say that there are some ignorant Catholic people who do "worship" the saints as you say, and put them as the center of their life of faith, which shouldn't be done. Because Jesus (ahem aka the one who receives and answers our prayers) should always be our center.
I have had to get rid of so many items that my husband and I had accumulated over the years thinking that they were harmless. I just threw a Dream Catcher that I’ve had in my drawer for many years. About a year ago I brought it out of my drawer and put it a container on my dresser even though I’m a Native American I never felt right hanging it up. It was given to my son and had a nice sentiment on the back of the card that described what a dream catcher is for. But after seeing this video, and saying to myself if you mention a dream catcher then I’ll know that I need to let it go even though it was beautifully made. I started to remove the leather around the ring, because it is very nice leather and I I could use it, but the Lord convicted me to throw it all away. Maybe I’ll sleep better now.

If you read the so called legend about how the dream catcher came to be, you'll find that it is supposedly "spider medicine", the story goes something like, a woman was traveling in the desert and dying of thirst, and supposedly she sees this spider who starts talking to her... and I don't remember all the story, but some how the spider heals her, and saves her life, whatever whatever.... and you know that was a demon talking to her. My grandfather and great grandfathere were in a secret society. I ended up with their paraphernalia. When I became a Christian God put a woman in my life that taught me about the occult and why I needed to rid myself of thoes items. We were already having marriage problem connected to demons.
Satan fought me hard trying to get me to not burn these items. But once they were we were free of demons for quite some time. They were definitely a door.

So i remember that I was leaving Christianity into new age and i had to constantly remind myself of everything (mediation hand gestures, chakras and the meanings behind it, crystals and their meanings, etc). It was like I was in school not retaining anything as soon as I looked away, I would forget it. I bought a crystal and I kept up with that thing like it was my phone. I would take it with me in the bathroom and sleep with it and drive with it in the door or on the dashboard. I prayed instead of meditated one night before going to sleep and I “lost” that crystal the next day. (I’m a Christian again and I know that God was blocking me from being “too deep” into it)

I never even got the chance ask him this. A year ago I was doing the dishes in my kitchen and suddenly he said "go through your house and remove every sugar skull." I said "..OK...? Why?" "They are used to decorate altars all over the world that are not to me." I never knew that. I don't live near Mexico or a Latin American area and I had no idea. An idol is worshiped, a statue of Mary is venerated. This was sorted out once and for all at the Second Council of Nicaea. It's one thing to venerate, however and I know cause I grew up catholic, people pray to mother Mary. But in case you are referring to the rosary, you would be incorrect that catholics are praying TO Mary. You see, in spanish, we say "ruega por nosotros" for each bead in between the mysteries. And, in case you don't know, "ruega por nosotros" is translated to "Pray for us because we are in desperate need" (ruega litterally means beg). We are asking Mary to beg her son Jesus Christ/God for OUR prayers to be answered. In no way, shape, or form, do we ever ask Mary herself to answer our prayers... however, I would like to clarify that there are some ignorant people in the Catholic church, and every church for that matter. There are also people who are clueless and don't understand and do "worship" Mary, as you say. (I know because in my culture, I have seen this ALOT). However, this IS indeed incorrect. You are right about that. However, that is not what is supposed to be done at all. Just want to clarify. All in all, we simply ask Mary to pray FOR us, to beg christ Jesus/God for mercy on our sins on OUR BEHALF. She does NOT answer prayers, so why would we pray TO her. We ask her to pray for us because we believe she is in the presence of God, living, and she is capable of that much, and she loves us as a heavenly mother.
Mary is set apart from the prophets just for being the mother of Christ. That's how much Jesus respects and loves his mother. She is not in the position of other saints.

Consider the practice in some churches where people pray over other people, perhaps seeking the intercession of the Holy Spirit or praying that the Holy Spirit do some work in the person being prayed for

Maybe you should look into the early church fathers to understand why Mary is so important. We ask for her intersession to pray for us. We do not pray to the saints. We ask them to intercede for us and pray to God on our behalf. I pray that you one day can know that Mary is your spiritual mother.
As a Catholic myself, I want to clarify that saints aren't specifically prayed to nor is Mary as if in the place of Christ or His father. Saints are more like... Mascots for lack of a better word. They're people who most likely had a specific challenge when they were alive that they fought temptation or loneliness or any of a series of things and then persevered or died because they were told to deny Jesus and they refused and thus we're martyred. They're a way of saying that this person was a teenager who wanted to battle for God, she dressed like a boy to sneak in the battle and she fought for the Church and they burned her at the stake.. (st Joan of arc) my favorite one was an Italian in the middle ages named peregrine who was down right dismissive and mocking to the church in his wild youth. Then he was afflicted with a cancerous lesion on his lower leg and he had a vision of Christ who came down off the crucifix and became life size and touched the wound healing it. He changed his ways and repeated and the first time I noticed anything about him the name caught my attention because my uncle's roommate worked in building downtown where a nest with a newly hatched flock of peregrine falcons had been found and nobody knew how to keep from disturbing them long enough to mature. So I prayed about the birds to God and thy did make it. But when my mom had a breast cancer, I used the image of Jesus healing St Peregrine thus converting him to witness for Christ til his final day I felt like that was something I could focus on while praying about my mom. If you can turn an angry mocking man into a soldier of Christ just think of what you might do for my mom's tumor? And Christ healed her. She died of cancer eventually but over 30 years later at 79 years old. I'm not sure about any angel statues though. Sometimes people top the Christmas tree with them but I guess my family was more of a gold tinsel star family.
I as well am catholic and I find it a little offensive, I think she should remember that we don’t pray or worship them. We just honor them for loving their church and show us how to live a more Christian life.

As a devout Catholic, I’m actually going to have to disagree with the statement that people “worship” the saints; it’s a very common misconception. We simply honor their devotion to God and ask them to pray for us, we must never worship them, we only venerate them. As a matter of fact, in Exodus, God asks for two statues of cherubim to be placed on top of the Ark of the Covenant, which shield it with their wings. Obviously, the only person we should be worshipping is God, but at the end of the day, we all have our own particular beliefs.

I was getting dressed one day for a special meeting so I picked out a shirt that is adorable that I have worn several times. It has a hippie feel to it and it is sooooo cute. As I was getting it out, suddenly a section of the intricate pattern of the shirt just absolutely jumped out at me and its like I saw it for the first time. It was the eqyptian eye of horus! I was absolutely mortified and in total disbelief that I have had this shirt in my possession for so long and somehow never saw this evil occult symbol right there cleverly worked into the busy design of the garment. Be careful that you know what you are wearing! Why? Because the message that we send out with our clothing is important-I hope nobody ever noticed that horrible eye and just never said anything but secretly wondered if I was actually a Christian. The bible says we are to be careful not to cause other people to stumble. Also what kind of evil was I passively alowing in my life by having that symbol in my closet? The makers of such items are counting on our ignorance to help them spread their agenda and to unknowingly invite evil in. Really LOOK at your clothes especially, make sure there's nothing hidden in plain sight! BTW, I went straight to the garbage and threw that shirt away!

I think you mean well in what you are expressing; I agree with many things you have shared. However, just to clarify misconceptions about religious representations of Mary, saints, etc... I express my beliefs from a Catholic perspective. Catholics don’t worship our images or the saints they portray. We simply honor the saints and use images as physical reminders of spiritual realities, so we are not breaking any divine prohibitions when we incorporate them into our prayer. Just as you may have a picture of someone you love in your home, so too do we... Just as you may ask a pastor, family member, or friend to pray for you, so we too ask the saints to intercede for us. We ask them for their prayers even though we're praying, too, because we believe in the power of prayer. We know that God hears their prayers as well as ours, and we want as many voices as possible asking Him to help us in our time of need. May the Holy Spirit guide us all into truth and reveal God’s thoughts and word to us.

I had a lovely platter that looked like porcelain but was painted metal.I had bought it at a flea market. It was in an antique hutch in the dining room, in a groove to hold plates. Had sat there for years, I was in the kitchen cooking but talking to my sister on the phone. Guys, this is so true!! My daughters loved to decorate their rooms with dream catchers. They were beautiful and family would buy them too for presents. When I realized how demonic they were and threw them out. My 9th grade daughters depression left and my 10 year old daughters night terrors quit. It happened instantly too. The night terrors were scary as she would scream like someone was always attacking her..like bloody murder. My husband and I would pop up and go consol her till she fell back asleep, even taking her to a sleep clinic to find out why...with no answers. I day I took the off the wall and threw in trash was the first night she slept through the night! To this day, about a year later no night terrors. Also my older daughter, who never went anywhere and slept all the time held up in her room....all of a sudden came out of her shell and is now a social butterfly in her 2nd year Nursing school. Please people this is NO JOKE> ITs REAL.
One time I bought a coloring book of snakes and my father died a few days later. I then donated it to the goodwill and the darn store burned down. Within 6 months the entire fire department got STD's. Also, when I was younger, and in band camp, my counselor wore a tie dye skirt. I actually saw the devil mocking me in the flow of the fabric. I was so scared I called my mom to come and pick be up. On the way home, we passed a farm house with a little midget standing in the front yard holding a pitchfork. Needless to say I never leave my house anymore.
I know a lot of Christians with dream catchers. When I tell them that they are from the Native American witch doctors, they just blow me off and say dream catchers don’t have power.

You can say He sent me a sign or a thought, but He did not directly speak to you. I worked in a salon that did reiki years ago. Most people working there were into new age occult stuff. I am highly in tune with my surroundings and I went through a horrible evil attack, and that was before I became a devout Christian.

It only made my faith that much stronger.

I got rid of a book called Completion Process by Teal Swan - a new age spiritual teacher... I got rid of it before I managed to even read it. Slowly, I'm getting there, there are still things that would probably need to get rid of.... also, my clothing style changed a lot ever since I became a believer in Christ.... I own only some pieces from the past and I don't wear them that much... or I've learnt how to combine my old clothes together to make a better outfit..... This is not someting that I've done intentionally... for me it was a natural process... the deeper I got into the scripture the more my clothing style changed. I believe it's probably the Holy Spirit telling me I need to cover up more.

The Goodwill was my favorite store until I heard a Pastor say to buy everything new (including furniture) because you don’t know who wore the clothes. She told a story of a lady who went to a an Estate/yard sale and bought all the clothes of the deceased women. Come to find out the deceased woman died from cancer and the lady who bought and wore them also got cancer!! After that I never returned to the Goodwill! I got rid of so many clothes (cute ones too!) it hurt to see all that money go down the drain but I knew God convicted me and told me to get rid of them! I was convicted because I believe the Lord was saying to me, “Don’t you trust me to provide for you?” “Don’t you know you are my daughter and I want you to have the best?” So true! I own some objects from different religions or beliefs around the world (Ganesh statue, Shinto ema tablets, Bouddha amulets, dreamcatcher, Kachina doll...). @iamme4882 not all. Most pray to whatever god or goddess they want and blend pantheon. It's extremely varied. What is a fact no matter which type of witch you meet is, it's all about belief. Salt is a protective element for instance and the 5 pointed star inside a circle is protective symbol- but if another witch uses hoodoo and uses other sigils as protective symbols, my pentagram or pentacle may not protect me against someone who doesn't believe it.
So there's a LOT of nuance when it comes to the craft. Many can even say well for ME all blue crystals are more air-like and not a water element so I'm personally going to have x crystal do this though a book says otherwise.
It's definitely not a situation of all witches are like. Including ethics. The 3 fold law and the "harm none" isn't followed by all either.

Many things can have demons enter, alcohol, reading, watching TV, and what do you do if it happens? Reject it in Jesus's name. I have nothing to fear from meditating.

When I was in my early 20's two of my best friends (they didn't know each other) at the time convinced me to get rid of my astrology books, I did it. I felt upset at the time because I had spent so much money on these books and I really had an attachment to them, but the Holy Spirit did show me that astrology was a form of witchcraft. This is true. My grandmother was involved in the occult for decades. When I would stay the night I would experience unexplained things. My dad was involved, as well, but not as much. My family is steeped in freemasonry. I was in Job's daughter's and had a lot of expensive jewelry and paraphernalia associated with it.I I was convicted to renounce this and get rid of the stuff and thought I could take the jewelry and have it melted down to make something nice. I heard distinctly it had to be destroyed. I took it to the garage and hammered it to pieces and threw it away.
Years later my dad - a high up mason - gave me a death mask of himself he made in college. I took it so as not to disappoint him, but kept it in the garage. Later there were manifestations that I was shown were coming because of this piece. Again, I took my hammer and smashed it and threw it away.
Now, I am not a devil under every bush kind of person, but there is definitely truth in what this young lady is saying. We live in a country without restrictions and so self control is something we need to learn as to what is acceptable to God and what is not and then DO what we know.

This was a great teaching tool. When I purged my home years ago of these things I also included books and movies that had any content not considered wholesome. I threw out a lot!! I was a horror movie fan and ghost hunter watcher but am so glad I purged my life of all that dark weight .
I too loved watching ghost reality TV as a Christian but one night I had a dream there was a black evil entity standing in the corner of my bedroom. So, How many of us celebrate Christmas? How many of you are willing to give it up? The Christmas celebration is the biggest idol we willingly bring into our homes and pass on to our offspring.
When I found out what the Christmas celebration truly was, I was devastated. It was my favorite holiday. I looked forward to Christmas all year long. All of the togetherness and love I experienced with my family during this holiday was so cherished by me and my entire family. To find out that it is a pagan festival with many different incarnations hurt me to my heart. To find out that Christmas was a bargaining chip for Emperor Constantine to get the pagans to convert to Christianity and has nothing to do with a celebration of the birth of our Savior, Jesus Christ makes me question my entire existence. My heart aches with the pain of being duped for most of my life and the loss of the most joyful & beautiful time of the year for me.

I see a lot of people making the excuse that THEY don’t find the same meaning in items that are associated with idolatry or witchcraft. I can tell you right now, in REALITY no one cares what you’re intent is. I put a dream catcher above my bed when I was a teenager and had a few nightmares. I took it down and never bothered with them again. Years later, I drew runic symbols for healing and place it above my bed. Almost immediately I had a health crisis that sent me to the hospital several times. My health was horrible for months. I was not even a Christian at the time, and I knew they were bad news! These occult symbols are evil and should not be messed with.
To me, all the items Ruocca lists are obvious to get rid of. But they do need to be mentioned. I used to be kind of a hippie and I got rid of anything and everything hippie-related, like iye dye shirts and hippie music and anything hippie-related because they represent drug and alcohol use and things created from an altered state of mind. agree, it used to be harder to get rid of these things, but not as much now. i no longer do ' holi days or even birthdays, it's unescescary and prideful. no pictures on walls, no photos or certain cards. I like coloring but will avoid the mandella type pictures, anything " zen' like. lotuses, etc. a friend gave me a couple plates cuz I had none, but they have mandella designs on them so I got some different ones and want to get rid of the first ones, was a bit worried she'd be offended if I gave them back, but she is aware of my beliefs and avoidance of certain things. I've explained to her why I don't have certain items etc in the house. I pray she gets free of the new age stuff she's into. I don't feel comfortable going into her place because of items there. I don't even miss having these things around, don't even notice anymore. it's just garbage, takes up space. no keepsakes to " remember" people or events by, that's how idolatry begins. Adultery and Idolatry are similar in that their both about being unfaithful, Adultery is being unfaithful to spouse and institution created by God, and idolatry is being unfaithful to God. A lot easier to clean too! though I do read secular books from the library, that's probably gotta stop too. AS I'm a bit disabled and cannot walk or go out much, it's hard to stay occupied, especially in winter.

I too came to this realzation that I needed to rid my house of items that I felt were against God and items that were an invitation to allow evil to enter my home. The things I discarded, when originally purchased, seemed harmless. As my children grew into adulthood I realized that I had not protected them in a godly way. My son used to read goose bumps and liked scary movies - please do not allow this no matter how innocent you are led to believe it is. When certain things began to take place, I feel I was led by the holy spirit to clean house. I filled a large trash bag or two with anything related to Halloween. To own a "fall decoration" like a pumpkin I feel is fine, but costumes, decore, spiders, anything like that you would decorate for "Halloween" must go! I also agree that if anything about an item does not bring you peace, by all means get it out of your house as soon as possible. Thank you again for this most informative video.

Halloween is an ancient pagan tradition that needs to go but sadly seems to grow bigger every year.
A very dear friend, an absolute pure soul had just lost his precious baby girl and later married a beautiful sweet girl and deserved all the joy he could be given ... was brutally, viciously murdered. His injuries were so horrendous they had to have a closed coffin funeral. Not even two weeks later i walked into my fave grocery store and was horrified to see a real coffin on display with a lifelike man in it with an ax in his disfigured face as a halloween decor. I couldn't believe what i was seeing! To make fun of people who died, murdered horribly who didn't want to die that way and suffered beyond human comprehension was so deeply disrepectful that it made me sick physically and spiritually.
I went to the manager and told him "this is not funny and i will NEVER shop here ever again."
And i never went there ever again.
My mom was always very against Halloween. I didn’t believe her until I was in my early 20’s. Every single year, I would get into a car accident. So I stopped celebrating it. I hope my baby isn’t too disappointed when I don’t let her dress up :/

What if I just like collecting things for the historical context? Also, I think all Christians should own a copy of the Torah and Quran. Being familiar with and understanding what other religions and cultures believe(d) is an important part of having true faith I believe. The flower of life is a mathematical fact. Having a true understanding of the details of the earth and universe is a way of appreciating gods creation. There is evidence the Jesus spent many years traveling the orient and India prayer is meditation is “manifest” is karma is yin Yang. All are the same concept and all are only effective when done purely and properly. I have a large collection of different religious and even some occult books and items. (Know your “enemy” or at least have an understanding of the actual beliefs of the major beliefs systems. The only real way to do that is from the source. )
The only one out of my collection that I believe for me is the Bible. Having those other objects does not distract me from that.

I bought the most beautiful feminine dream catcher from an Indian reservation several years ago. Unexplained things started to happen, along with dead meat odors and a lot of arguing and fighting in my family. My son suggested we burn it, and I believe things got better.

We Catholics have little statues of our Blessed Mother Mary as well as the Angels and all because it serves as a reminder of what happened back then..the way you keep pictures to remember some events is the same way we use them for their remembrance. It is in our churches, it makes you feel closer to them, we DO NOT worship idols, they are sacramentals and serve much more deeper meanings

A statue of Mary is not an idol. Catholics do not worship Mary. We love her. A statue is a 3d image of her.
We pray to saints to help us in a specific area. They don't just sit pretty in heaven they have work to do. Catholic means universal. Their job is to help as many people as they can get to heaven. It's like speaking to a loved one whom has passed.
I lived in London and a friend visited Prague brought a candle back for me with the architecture of the church, he was into that field, I was also into Egyptology on a minor scale and purchased a booklet with the statue Ra, travelled everywhere with it until I kept getting pulled over by customs and they always searched my suitcases, until I finally came back to the Caribbean showed my mum she took them the same day carried it to her church and they burnt the items as for the candle it was a pagan church with skeletons, I never noticed until a church member showed my mum, the details were intricate but the candle was also dark brown
I had a friend give me a picture of faires , elfs & lepracaurns ,& i thought thats harmless. as it was a gift for my grandaughter as she likes fairies. But this picture was handpainted by some one. So i had it in my hallway for a few week. But i started to have bad dreams. Dreaming that their was a man in the house with a black hoodie following me. I started to relate it to the pictures ,& i threw them in the bin. & i havent had a bad dream since. Strange

Asalam alikoum. Christians are confused in understanding what God is and what God does. What God is is the owner of majesty and perfection and he is the Almighty Creator of the heavens and earth, his perfect attributes never change, what God does however, he does as he wills in his infinite wisdom, Almighty Allah is far above his creation and does as he pleases, Almighty Allah is able to forgive the sin of his servants through his infinite mercy without any pagan like sacrifices let alone attributing partners or a son to the Almighty who is unlike his creation or anything that the mind can imagine that is the ultimate injustice/blasphemy to God an unforgivable sin (if one does not repent from it before death). Christianity is a word that came well after Jesus pbuh left as he did not call himself that and it was then heavily influenced by the pagan traditions of that time much after Jesus pbuh was gone. Then the corruption and confusion in the bible began, that's why you find many different books and gospels by so called men such as Paul who claim to have had "visions" and or "inspiration" from God, altered the true message that Jesus pbuh originally preached to the lost tribe of Israel and not to humanity which was to worship one God as he said he did not come to abolish the law. Also the arrival of the prophet mohamed pbuh was mentioned in the bible as the paraclete which means the comforter the counselor. Hope this helped. When my mother died nearly two years ago, I plucked some of her hair from her head when I was laying beside her in her hospital bed. Idk why I did, I’ve never heard or seen this done but I was so heartbroken I just wanted a part of her to remain with me. I later had my sister put the hair in resin along with some glitter and made a pendant. I’ve recently re-submitted my life to Christ and have been attentive to His word. Last week I felt the Holy Spirit convict me and tell me to get rid of the pendant I made. I held onto it for a week and yesterday I finally threw it away. Before tossing it I looked at it and I noticed some of her hair was starting to protrude out from the pendant😳. Idk what that was about but I’m glad it’s gone. Im actually getting rid of more things today. Im glad I’ve come across this video, it’s confirmation. God bless you and always obey the Holy Spirit.

Yes! Get rid of it. God chose to take our mothers away, we’ve no right to try and keep them here. They aren’t really here anyway, they’re dead and hidden in Christ. I think clinging to physical parts of deceased persons grants access to familiar spirits in your life.
