- Seaside Dampa Macapagal situated by Manila Bay is one of the best known dampas in Manila. The word dampa means "hut" or "nipa hut." In Manila it is where you can buy various fishes and crustaceans freshly caught then cooked however you want on the premises.

I went there in Sept 2018. I really liked it there. It was so good and I really liked this video. Im just disappointed because if the vendors see that you are not a local Filipino, they really raise their prices. Its not only at dampa. It happens to me at other markets also.

Some restaurant don’t cook what you bought. They cook what they have which is inferior. Mga mandaraya kaya I don’ t go there anymore. I just buy the seafood and cook it in my hotel.

i was wondering why you never mentioned about the price. there's a new restaurant similar to this near the PICC and Manila Film Center and it was very pricey owned mostly by chinese. I would prefer this in Dampa Macapagal to that. Also the property owners here looked like locals. They should be more patronized. Thanks for the upload.

you'll never know. me, i invite my friends to a local market which sells fresh seafood. then, we all go home and cook them ourselves. i would pay only 1/4 of the price you pay here.
