What made this film interesting is that it wasn’t a remake of the classic Disney film, but rather a follow up story after the fact. It was different, but a good different.
I love the live action Alice in wonderland. It’s not like a remake of the original story but a continuation and she’s older now which means it’s more mature looking and the bright colors fade slightly like how we used to see as a child but everything is more softer
16:50 - I love the wholesomeness of the interpretation that she's made friends with those people, rather than them being courtiers there to do her bidding.
This was actually the first Disney live-action remake I’ve ever seen. And yeah, I’m a sucker for Tim Burton’s style of movies. Back then, I liked how dark and Burton-ish they made it, and even Johnny Depp as the Mad Hatter I found pretty fun. It’s basically another Disney live action remake some audiences can have a soft spot for.
I think you'll get a kick out of this: There is actually an answer to, "Why is a raven like a writing desk?" "Because it can produce a few notes, however flat; and it's NEVAR with the wrong end in front."
Its actually common to forget dreams. Most humans start to lose memory of them already within seconds after waking up. There are exceptions to the rule tho ofc.
Outstanding! Iracibeth, the Red Queen is based on the Queen of Hearts in the first novel, and the Red Queen in the second novel. Wonderland is run by the Queen of Hearts and the King of Hearts. In the Looking Glass, the Red and White queen are two chess pieces on a chessboard. This film reminds me of Hook and The Wizard of Oz; she is it’s a grown-up travels back into my childhood, and the people in wonderland or flexion to the people in Wonderland is a reflections to the people in her reality. Another mini series I highly recommend is Dorothy in the witches of hours; Dorothy is all grown up and only remembers her life in Oz as a dream. However, she is unaware of that the people in Oz are people she knows in her reality. 👩🏼🦱🎩🐇🐰🐭🐶🦋🌻⚔️♥️♟
I still remember when i watched this movie in the cinema. Thanks, Tim, and a happy sunday to you as well. Take care and God bless you, and greetings from Colombia
After watching her in one movie, I then watched several more. Just instantly liked her. I also liked every movie I saw her in. I think she's a damn good actress. Also, this movie is fun. And it's quality. So rewatchable.

Might I suggest you guys watching “Voltron: Legendary Defender (2016)” Sci-Fi, 8 seasons. Yes, it’s a TV show. Given it’s that long I’m sure you’ll like it or maybe even love it.
This a sequel to the animated one. It's pretty obvious if you watched both movies. I don't know why people are saying it's a remake in the comments but that's just not true. Maybe they didn't pay attention to the movie
I remember the first time a saw this movie and the jabberwocky and was really confusing, them when I did some research and find out that the jabberwocky is a poem about a dragon named like that, and it appear in the book "alice through the looking glass", wich is the next movie
Love this movie, but I've always been baffled that it got a PG rating. Between the mouse plucking the monster's eye out, the river of severed heads, and all the other surprisingly graphic stuff. Then again, if Hunchback can get a G I guess anything's possible.
Listen they also do . I’mjust saying everyone does a good job at their OWN INTERPRITATION. that’s what this movie is. ITS NOT SUPPOSED TO BE BASED ON THE ORIGINAL, ITS ITS OWN TAKE
Still my favorite live action Disney movie but I'm also a Burton Fanatic. You guys should also check out Oz the great and powerful another amazing live action Disney movie it's a Prequel to wizard of Oz obviously and James Franco is actually really good in it
Hi Tim and Mal this is one of my all time favorite Disney movies but when it first came out people were not nice to this movie and I didn't get it personally I like Alice friendship with the Mad Hatter And he was wonderful casting by Jonny Depp
A rather disappointing film, honestly. Apparently, Tim Burton made this a sequel to the original books because, despite enjoying the creativity and strangeness of Lewis Carroll's works, he didn't feel an emotional connection, for the original story is mostly about Alice exploring and meeting one crazy character after another. But, again, this "sequel" was disappointing. They strangely made it into a prophecy-fulfilling story, and yet the Jabberwock is defeated in an anticlimactic way. Oh yeah, and there's breakdancing. However, the 2016 sequel, Alice: Through the Looking Glass, was an even bigger mess.
What bothered me about this movie when it came out was that Tim Burton seemed like the perfect person to bring the Alice In Wonderland story to life. But instead of using his wacky style for the project, he brings in his overly gothic style to the whole thing, along with forcing in a role for Johnny Depp and Helena Bonham Carter
The one that started the avalanche is sh!# known as the live action Disney remakes. This one really hurt and is a complete waste of Johnny Depp, Christopher Lee, and Alan Rickman. You know it’s bad when they can’t even have the title right Alice isn’t a child she’s an adult, this isn’t her first time there it’s her returning and it’s not Wonderland it’s Underland. It’s colorless, it’s boring, it’s emotionless, there is talk of prophecies and battle. Tim Burton you messed up so freakin bad.
An amazing and really underrated movie. I know it's not like the 1951 cartoon, however i really enjoyed this live-action movie both for Tim Burton's style and for being much more inspired to Carroll's books.🩵🩵

Also, Alice's relationship with the Hatter was symbolic to the relationship she had with her father
What made this film interesting is that it wasn’t a remake of the classic Disney film, but rather a follow up story after the fact. It was different, but a good different.
Debatable.
Same I thought the same things and I love it. It’s not like a remake of the original story but a continuation
But anticlimactic. However, can we at least agree that 2016 sequel was a mighty mess?
@@wesmcinerny4524 I never saw it tbh.😅
That was what made it special. Unlike other classic Disney films, AiW wasn't a fairy tale in the conventional sense, so doing a sequel worked.
"OFF WITH HIS/HER HEAD" is an iconic line 😂
out of all the disney remakes I find Alice in wonderland to be among the BEST ones they have made.

They both have inky ( black) quills. 😂

It's an atrocious adaptation of the source material, but you have to give it this... at least it tried to be different rather than a complete rehash.

Top 5 Johnny Depp roles imo. First being of course Captain Jack Sparrow. 💜
