I"m trying to remember off the top of my head... Peter Pan/Malcolm (Great Grandpa)> Rumplestiltskin/The Crocodile/The Beast/Mr. Gold/The Dark One (Grandpa)> Baelfire/Neal (Dad)> Henry, right? That's a small part of it but probably the funniest to me.

And Wicked Witch having a baby with Robin Hood, who was her sisters Evil Queens Soul-mate. don’t forget about that. An Rumple being grandfather of Henry (which makes Peter Pan his great-grandfather). @@ABadostainI mean the story had some problems here and there but it was a good show that helped kept me going through a tough internship. So that show actually means a lot to me
love how dylan predicted "this is gonna go one of two ways. either the kid has to come to terms with having 2 moms or the step mom is actually just pretending to be nice and is actually evil" and it's just quite literally BOTH 💀
“Is that guy not Beast, is he actually a Rumpelstiltskin alternate version?” Yes. And the Crocodile from Peter Pan. And the son of Peter Pan. And the Fairy Godmother from Cinderella. And so many other characters. They made Rumple be the character for all these different stories throughout the show as a way to help connect them.
I think the way the StoryWriters handled that Character arc was very lazy. No wonder Dylan got so confused. I get having one person connect all the Fantasy Story lines, but the Writers could've done a better job. On the other hand I really wonder how the Once Upon a Time world fits with the Descendants world. Are they just seperate canons? Or, is there some other connection, besides being Disney IP? 29:29
@@EDAYWATCH its definately different cannons. I do believe OUAT is its own thing while descendants are more linked to the actual cartoon movies... and I take this mainly from HADES and his storyline in both cannons.. hugely different
@@EDAYWATCHthey don’t connect at all. also i don’t think it was lazy i think it was clever, rumple was supposed to know everyone so why not have him be. major or small character in everyone’s story
I think it's mostly because Rumpelstiltskin is OLD and makes a bazillion deals and plans. According to Carlyle, he was the Dark One for 300 years by the time the curse was cast.
oh my god same lol, I think I stopped watching in like season 5 or 6, but knew some of what was still happening through friends who still watched it, I came into this thinking I would understand and ... nah man, humbled indeed lol
Right?? I stopped after season five, and I have no idea who are some of these people 😂 and where is Emma? Jesus I was so confused with everything happening lol
I didn't watch all seasons since I stopped watching after Peter Pan story finished. I realized it's the same actor almost at the end of Dylan's video sooo... I think he looks quite different when he's older because I thought it's another actor as well oh well 😂
dylan i’m begging you watch the entire show, or at least the first and lasts of each season. it is so wild and takes so many different twists and turns with the characters it’s my favourite show despite how absolutely absurd and ridiculous it gets. you’ll love the stupidity and complexity of it i promise
As a fan of the show I agree really watch it lol you won’t be disappointed 😂 Eve the show not aging well, (green screen) 😅 it’s still really good for what they were trying to do an what the did do
There's a lot of out-of-place exposition because they're setting up who these characters are. That character is Geppetto from Pinocchio (who built himself a son when he and his wife couldn't have biological kids).
As a kid i really liked how villians weren't just evil, they had backstories, rumple lost his son because of a broken promise and does everything in his power to find him, the evil queen lost a person she loved and so on, to answer some questions, season 1 and 2 are actually good, in season 1 especially we actually see how brutal and cruel rumple and the evil queen are, they were showing instead of telling which i loved.
So true. Watching it, I kept thinking "okay, all these concepts are so nuts, why does it make sense??? why is the writing so good???" ...and then stopped mid-season 3 because the writing quality went down significantly with the Zelena plot. (fun fact: I'm czech and watching it, hearing people call her by a name that in my language means "Green" (well it's *zelená* ) was driving me insane. Like. You're not as smart as you think guys.) I watched a lot of scenes on yt before that so I know most of the S4 storyline and have no idea how they made it all happen with Disney's copyright but like. Wow. Also I should pick it up again, I really want to watch the Jekyll/Hyde plot because I really hated the showrunners for doing it when I was 12 and had a Jekyll & Hyde phase. 😅 I'd just like to add - having Mulan be queer pretty early on and then I guess somehow making Ruby/Dorothy happen is so slay of them.
fr i loved the show. but i think i started becoming uninterested around the time ariel was introduced though :/ it was cool seeing emmas(? the mc lol) kid come into play tho lawl!
I love how Dylan *completely* missed that Emma and Hook got together. Not only were they standing together at the end, but she had a whole *baby* in her arms too😂
@@tiggert4002 yep! They got together. Married, baby, happily ever after. Long story short is that Hook started off as a villain but through the power of love and goodness and blah blah blah he was reformed and became a hero like the rest

What? Rumpelstiltskin eats children and Peter Pan stays a child and he is somehow HIS dad? I don't know any lore of these things, but that seems wrong.
@@JuMixBooxI mean he doesn’t eat children here but his dad (spoilers) wanted to leave their realm so he came up/went to Neverland and he got the ability to revert back into his younger self, rumple, being a kid at the time, didn’t like what magic was doing to him (which is ironic if you’ve seen what happens with him and HIS son) and decides to leave his dad there forever. this show was SO unhinged that it was almost enjoyable… like the family tree was wild. rumple was henry’s grandfather and peter pan’s son and he was married to belle. henry’s adopted mum was the evil queen but she was also his step great-grandmother because she’s snow’s step-mother and snow is henry’s grandmother. captain hook has a kid with snow white and prince charming’s daughter, but captain hook in another universe has alice in wonderland as a kid, alice dates robin hood junior who’s the daughter of robin hood and the wicked witch who’s half sister is the evil queen, they share a mum who is the queen of hearts. the evil queen, the wicked witch AND the queen of hearts all have a romantic connection with rumple at some point in the show. like there is A LOT to unpack
i love the way you made the cycle whole 😂 can't forget that Rumple's son Neal, a lost boy from Neverland for a time, is Henry's father and Neal's mother/ Rumple's ex-wife had an affair with Captain Hook before he married Emma who is Henry's mother 😗 Side quests: Mulan hung out with Phillip and Aurora (whom she's in love with) before running with Robin Hood and the Merry Men BEFORE going to Oz to help Little Red Riding Hood and Dorothy. Red was also besties with Snow White and they became besties after Red ate her first boyfriend🤭 Sadder side note: so many people in this show died/ were killed and it was TRAUMA but I lived for it (ironically).
@@jaylaanpough5524 the huntsman dying those first few episodes nearly broke me. NOT TO MENTION PINNOCHIO. That was such a sad beautiful arc. My girl red riding hood who was the wolf. Prince charming not actually Prince Charming but his brother from a village after the real Prince Charming died.
It would be so cool if first and last had a spicy middle. Most of these shows (especially the ones with a million seasons) have terrible pilots and even worst finales, but the middle is somehow amazing lol. Loved the reaction as always
To answer some questions: 1. Heart-ripping is a pretty common spell in the show. Basically someone with magic can reach into someone's chest and rip out their heart, and put it back. Then you can either crush it, killing the person, or use the heart to control them. Some people also collect them. 2. Season 1 is a pretty good season, with some issues. Season 2a is the best the show gets, but season 3a is also rlly good. If you like evil Henry, you'd like 3a bc the villain is Peter Pan (he's evil and loves playing little mind games). 3. They didn't re-cast Jamie Dornan, he actually dies pretty early in season 1. Robin Hood is introduced in season 3 as Regina's (the Evil Queen) true love. 4. The CG settings do not get better, but the costume department was nominated for some Emmy's and the acting in the main cast is really good. The character drama is also absolutely excellent (Red Riding Hood eats her boyfriend).
So addressing your questions because I unfortunately know too much: 1. Ripping out a heart is such a thing in this series. There’s a few times we see murder by heart ripping and crushing. If someone died, you can put in someone else’s heart or half of your own to save them and the “magic” of the sacrifice is enough to bring them back. If you do the half heart though, you’re tied together - if one ship sinks, the other explodes. 2. Rumplestiltskin and the Beast from Beauty and the Beast are the same guy. He’s also called The Dark One. 3. Hook was kind of a bad guy but not The Big Bad of the season. He marries Emma, the blonde from episode 1. 4. I liked the plots right up until Frozen, then I was like “we’re in bullshit and it’s so stupid and complicated and the exact same stuff we’ve seen before”
I agree with all but I like season 4(frozen part) sucked and so did the 7th season but I liked seasons 5 and 6 fairly well! Season 3 will always be the best though!
@@isabellascott2512 same aha! Season seven low key sucked. But also I'm amazed at how much Dylan guessed happened despite not having seen most the show. but also the confusion he has for the season seven finale is hilarious because it really was so unserious! 😂
You guys talk about it like the previous seasons were the pinnacle of good writing 😩 Anyway the finale to s7 ignores its own season and act as a finale to the entire show, so I guess it was good Dylan reacted to it
it really goes to show how great of an actress lana parilla is and how great the costumer and makeup dept is that dylan didn’t even notice she was the same person 😭😭
OUAT has probably one of the best costume designers I have ever seen. The evil queen’s costumes were always breathtaking and the costumes of characters in the enchanted forest were always out of this world magnificent.
while i agree with both these comments - in regards to how great of an actress lana is and how much effort they put into costumes - we also have to give some credit to dylan's total inability to memorize names/faces lol
My step dad didn't notice when I made him watch the pilot but I just assumed that was because he's face blind lmao. Apparently it's common not to recognize her haha
@@kanekidavis9071 it’s been forever since I watched it but it’s a reboot/sequel to the main storyline and some of the characters are their alternative selves and a lot of the main cast is uninvolved to the point where it feels so disconnected it doesn’t even match the original plot
The heart thing is pretty common, in the show. Magical people can basically stick their hands/fingers into other people's chests and take their heart out. The Wicked Witch and The Evil Queen get into a fight where one tries to take the other's heart, but she responds that you're never supposed to bring your heart to a witch fight, basically. If you crush the heart, you can kill the person, but Rumple was trying to save Hook. That said, Rumple is both the Beast, AND Hook's Crocodile (that took his hand). The kiss thing has to be "True Love's Kiss." It has been done a few times, including where Emma (Snow White and Prince Charming's daughter, the main character) kisses Henry's forehead, and it awakens the whole town, so everyone knows who they are.
@@AirQuotes They didn`t cheat. Ginny has said when she met Josh she realised what she could have in a relationship, wether that be with Josh or someone else, and broke off her engagement.
The pulling of the heart was a "special move" that, at one point, only Rumplestilskin knew. Then he showed the Red Queen, then she showed the Evil Queen, and then more people knew about it. Some heart manipulation would become a big deal to the plots when the hearts would get cursed or spicific hearts were used for special curses. ❤❤❤ This series was full of hearts and emotions. It was lovely pass time 🥰
This would be such a fun show for him to do a full review of (not a recommendation, Dylan. Don't hurt me!) It's just soooo convoluted, and I know his jokes would be top tier.
Majority of the characters ended up being multiple fairytale characters hence the confusion around rumple being beast. I'm pretty sure Rumple was like 4 or 5 different fairytale characters which was pretty hard to keep track of but when you watch the show he's pretty much the MVP anyway so you just go with it.
From the top of my head; Rumplestiltskin Beauty and the Beast Peter Pan UP i guess there's also Cinderella as well since he's replaced the fairy godmother 😂
Once Upon A Time is actually one of my favorite TV shows of all time, and its pilot is one of my favorite pilots as well. I love the characters, the complicated family tree, the weird storylines, all of it. It does get worse throughout the years, especially after season 5, but I still have very fond memories of it, and I'm actually rewatching it now (currently on season 4). And about "Rumpy": he is Rumplestiltskin at the same time he is the Beast from the Beauty and the Beast AND the Crocodile from Peter Pan (because he is the guy who ripped Captain Hook's hand off and well... has crocodile-ish skin when he is evil). He is also the son of Peter Pan 'cause why not.
I find it funny I found his reaction video of this show when I decided to rewatch it with my boyfriend who’s never seen the series. The red herring of August being possibly rumples son threw him. I found it so hilarious he was so certain he was right that August was rumples son but then realized it was a trick. My boyfriend was whooping and hollering like it was football that he was right. So hilarious. I love this show.
Dylan if there is any show for you to do a review of the whole series it’s this one. There are so many interesting plot points and the family tree is insane. It’s a must watch
I was thinking exactly the same thing even though there is so much craziness, I'd love to see his reaction to all of it. its a great show to react to, not a dull moment
Dylan uploading every day of the week except a Monday for so long was inevitably gonna lead to him actualy posting on mondays by chance and i think thats beautiful
The fact that this would all make SO MUCH MORE SENSE (or as much sense as a first and last can make) if Dylan watched the S6 finale instead is so funny, though
An explanation of the heart thing: certain characters like Rumple and the Queen had the ability to remove hearts through dark magic, to either control someone or crush it and kill them. Fun fact: The Queen/Regina had a vault full of hearts
@@checksanity Rumple was the first. He studied dark magic when he became the Dark One and he taught Cora when she was the millers daughter and bragged that she could turn straw into gold and then Rumple taught her to rip out hearts so she could rip out the kings I believe but she fell in love with Rumple... (another awkward family twist since Rumple also flirted with Regina and Zelena, Regina's half sister) and ripped out her own heart... so yeah... all fun and games really 🤣🤣 But basically if you can do magic you can rip out a heart. Emma can, Hook does at one point when Cora spells his hook, Zelena can too. It's just a magic spell that, if you can do magic, you can learn.
Rumple is also the beast and also the crocodile that took Hook's hand. Many characters in the show were multiple characters from different stories. And they were all related somehow to each other!
Rumpelstiltskin is the beast, but a metaphorical beast, so he was never like an actual beast, but he sort of enslaved Belle but they fell in love. He is also (metaphorically) the crocodile, from Peter Pan. Which is why I think it's a nice touch that he gives his life to save Hook's, because he used to be Hook's greatest enemy.
I need Dylan to do a late night Dylan or beer and a movie on Once Upon a Time. I need him to watch the show and be confused the whole time like everyone else who’s watched the show. The plot, the family tree, it would be so entertaining and hilarious for him to just short circuit everytime it’s revealed they’re related to each other.
Don't know if someone already said this, but in the show, Rumplestiltskin is also the Beast in Beauty in the Beast, and also the "croc" that stole Hook's hand. They liked taking Rumplestiltskin and somehow shoving him into other fairytales. Like if I remember correctly he was Cinderella's "fairy godmother" and made a deal with her in season 1. There was probably more but I only watched 3 and a half seasons.
Yeah Rumple was basically the glue holding all the storylines together. Name a character and we could tell you how Rumple is their grandfather or villain or husband or son or cousin LMAOOOO
He actually kills Cinderella's Fairy Godmother and takes over. He tells Cinderella he'll let her go to the ball, if she gives him her first born after she marries the prince.
9:41 when talking about the transitions between scenes, you also have to remember that this originally streamed on cable so there were ad breaks that also broke apart some of those scenes.
25:43 Ripping hearts out of chests is the most common thing in this series. Taking someone’s heart gives you complete control over their life. You can control them and kill them with a command and a squeeze. You can split a heart to save your one true love. You can give someone else your heart. You can rip out a heart and see how righteous and good or how dark and evil they are. If you took a shot for every heart is ripped from a chest you would die of alcohol poisoning.
This is one of those shows where you actually need to watch all of it, or you will get lost. Each character ends up being like 5 characters, and everyone is somehow related. It's WILD!
Season 7 was its own stand alone season, kind of. For most of the show the blonde girl, Emma, that you saw at the beginning of the show was the main character. Her arc ended with season 6, and then we pick up with 'grown-up' Henry's arc in season 7. Once Upon a Time is actually a really chaotically addicting show. It's 100% cheesy and insane, but in a fun way. The bad CGI and green screen scenes are just a part of that.
sadly i never saw the last season. we got a few episodes in and was like oh they are rehashing it with only henry as the savior instead of emma. and a new city of memory wipes
That's why I love watching his videos too cause I don't feel alone being like wait who was that and it's the mc just wearing different clothes or changed their hair 😭🤣
I've watched this a loooong time ago... but 1) Rumplestinskin is also the Beast in this universe 2) Jamie Dornan left the show mid first season 3) It's good till like season 3-4, than it goes downhill 4) Season 7 was after a time jump and with mostly different cast and set in different town 5) There is a musical episode, which I recommend to watch just for fun 6) Sebastian Stan is there for like 3 episodes in season 1
The explanations he was searching for... Regina (Evil Queen) she had a back and forth of redeeming herself and joining the good side. She finally became good around the 4th season whereas Rumple was ALWAYS having this internal struggle with good and bad. Rumple is technically the beast because of the darkside within him and he took Belle so she can save her kingdom that was in a war. And they fell in love. But he likes his magic more and refuses to leave his magic. He doesnt really get to the good side until season 6ish.
WELCOME TO THE CLUB i’ve been trying to finish this one show for literally years now but now i’m trying to get myself to finish One Piece and MHA and i’m also gonna start JJK and i’m finishing Gilmore Girls but i’m also rewatching-
"I hate that they're cutting between...there are different worlds? I wish that could be more clear." *the first episode literally has a prologue stating that all the character are stuck in our world and this is their story*
YEESSS I LOVE THIS SHOW LOL!! I've rewatched it like four times. The writing is incredible and the storylines and plots are so compelling. The way they entangle all of the fairytale stories is so cool in my opinion. Regina, Pan, and Hook are my fave characters
Dylan there’s so much I wish I could have answered for you while watching this 😂 Jamie Dornan’s character was the huntsman from the Snow White story. He is separate from the Robin Hood character. Kid Henry and Joffrey-Henry are played by the same actor, he just grew up. In the show they mixed Rumplestiltskin and Beast into one person, but he really didn’t have Beast’s story they just made people call him “Beast”. He’s also the “crocodile” who took Hook’s hand. It’s a long story but Hook called him crocodile because he was green and scaly. I’d like to say watching the whole show would solve all the confusion but I cannot promise it still won’t be confusing.
Yes, he did have that part with Belle in his backstory where she was living at his Mansion and he treated her poorly first. There actually we're quite a few Beauty and the Beast elements.
once upon a time is my favourite show ever. i know it doesnt have the greatest production or directional choices, but the plots and the character arcs are so beautiful and the actors do a phenomenal job. this show has inspired me to have hope through all the dark times in my life and i’m just so happy dylan’s given it a watch - regardless of whether he likes it or appreciates it or not.
You shouldve watched the season 6 finale instead. Season 7 was a soft reboot that kinda flopped so it got the show canceled, but Emma’s arc ends with the season 6
I love once upon a time bc I just know the budget went: 100% costumes, 0% cgi, 0% sets. It’s a shame Dylan didn’t get to see more of the better costumes (not just their normal clothes) bc I would always admire them when I was watching the show
Once Upon A Time really carried me throughout late middle school and high school, man. It was the first show I was allowed to watch by myself, which allowed a whole world of fandom that was just for me! It's cheesy and often REALLY visually struggling, but the characters still stay with me. I do really think that seasons one through three were really solid, and then they lost it when they introduced Frozen and things that weren't exactly fairy tales like Frankenstein. Captain Hook, Rumplestiltskin, and Belle and Zelena were my favorite characters, by far.
I kinda feel the same. It was cool going with the original Disney characters & Brothers Grimm fairy tale themes, then it was like they expanded to all types of fictional characters
I used to LOVE this show, it was the first one that I watched when I was a kid, the story was awesome. I never got to finished it, I stopped at season 4, but now this video made me want to rewatch it
the whole thing about OUAT is that everything is based on timing, flashbacks, (lost) memories, and overlapping stories. Rumpelstiltskin IS infact himself AND the beast from Belle's story. he trained the queen of hearts who mothers another one of our favorite characters and a bunch more drama that is honestly too complex for this 1 post. I was SO EXCITED watching this video 🤩 i got excited for a second when Dylan said "2 episodes" cus i thought he was gonna do ep.1+2
UK 🇬🇧 fan here. Honestly you need to watch the series, there is so much more to it, back stories, character redemption and much much more. I Love the series and went to conventions and meet lots of the cast too.
Ccol fact about the apples. The woman with the dark hair (Regina) makes a poisoned apple pie for the woman with blonde hair (Emma) but the kid eats it, so it's funny that you mentioned something about the apples and them being evil😂
? You know these stories are all based on centuries-old fairytales literally everyone knows, right? Everyone knows what the apple represents and the fact that it's poison, and knows she would be the one to use it.
Okay...quick OUAT geneology. Rumple is rumplestiltskin, the beast and the dark one. His father is peter pan. His love interest is Belle. He is Henry's grandfather. His son dated Emma who is the daughter of Snow White and Prince Charming. Important thing about Prince Charming. HE IS NOT THE REAL PRINCE CHARMING. The real prince charming died slaying a dragon but he had a twin brother that grew up poor raising lambs in the countryside. The king took him to play his son since his son died and he succesfully slayed the dragon. Hope I haven't lost you yet. The evil queen ofc married and killed Snow White's father but she's dated the huntsman and some other guy her mother killed which was her villain arc. Her long term love interests is robinhood. And I think her mother was the queen of hearts right? Anyways she adopted henry so she is henry's adoptive mom. Okay so I think thats the full genealogy for Henry but other notable characters in the show. The therapist in Storybrook is Jiminy Cricket. Even though Rumple's son is Henry's father. Emma dates Captain Hook for a long time. The dwarves are close family friends esp grumpy and the diner in town is run by Grandma and Red Ridinghood. *spoiler* Red is the wolf. Other charcaters make an apperamce in this show and fit in the family tree some how. Like the Wicked witch of the west is the evil queen's sister. Elsa makes an appearance at some point. Everyone becomes evil and gets redeemed at one point and there's always some curse
I think the most important thing to understand about OUAT is that it is a soap opera. With all the classic tropes that go along with that. Just with fairytale characters.
"What a weird pilot" my guy you have no idea how NORMAL this was compared to everything. I hope someone sends him the Once Upon a Time family tree
I remember explaining the family tree to my brother once and he was so lost.

That kid was such a good actor. He did such a good job acting like an adult who magically turned into a teenager.
love how dylan predicted "this is gonna go one of two ways. either the kid has to come to terms with having 2 moms or the step mom is actually just pretending to be nice and is actually evil" and it's just quite literally BOTH 💀
He said it and I literally was like it’s both😂😂

I really like Rumple
Dylan not thinking that STORYBOOK is fictional town in a show called ONCE UPON A TIME is wild

There's a lot of out-of-place exposition because they're setting up who these characters are. That character is Geppetto from Pinocchio (who built himself a son when he and his wife couldn't have biological kids).
His definition of OUaT as a "movie" that aired once a week for 8 years is hilarious 😂

But it´s actually Monday tho!!
Not far off, honestly
And she fell in love with his son !!

I've seen the show several times, and I still got confused by all that. 😂
It's weird that I haven't seen the show in years, and was able to follow along to this somehow.
i love the way you made the cycle whole 😂 can't forget that Rumple's son Neal, a lost boy from Neverland for a time, is Henry's father and Neal's mother/ Rumple's ex-wife had an affair with Captain Hook before he married Emma who is Henry's mother 😗
Side quests: Mulan hung out with Phillip and Aurora (whom she's in love with) before running with Robin Hood and the Merry Men BEFORE going to Oz to help Little Red Riding Hood and Dorothy. Red was also besties with Snow White and they became besties after Red ate her first boyfriend🤭
Sadder side note: so many people in this show died/ were killed and it was TRAUMA but I lived for it (ironically).
I remember giving up on trying to understand who is related to who
@@jaylaanpough5524 the huntsman dying those first few episodes nearly broke me. NOT TO MENTION PINNOCHIO. That was such a sad beautiful arc. My girl red riding hood who was the wolf. Prince charming not actually Prince Charming but his brother from a village after the real Prince Charming died.

also the fact that he judged charming for putting emma in the wardrobe when regina calls him out for it in season 2 💀
YES! He would love Regina 😂
To answer some questions:
I remember Red, really liked her story.
red riding hood does what now
Robin was recasted though😅 before it was Tom Ellis, the Lucifer actor
@@cricketjuices Yeah, Red Riding Hood is The Wolf in that story. She’s a werewolf and accidentally eats her boyfriend. No biggie.
the CG in this show deserves an award for being so bad. Is amazing.
20:10 “robin” “HOOD?!” Is killing me lmao
So addressing your questions because I unfortunately know too much:
4. I liked the plots right up until Frozen, then I was like “we’re in bullshit and it’s so stupid and complicated and the exact same stuff we’ve seen before”
And Rumple is also the Crocodile from Peter Pan! he has too many roles
I agree with all but I like season 4(frozen part) sucked and so did the 7th season but I liked seasons 5 and 6 fairly well! Season 3 will always be the best though!

Came here for this!
please dylan needs to review this show by season because there are so many arcs he would 100% love
Even if he only did the peter pan arc that would be peak in and of itself.
The kiss thing has to be "True Love's Kiss." It has been done a few times, including where Emma (Snow White and Prince Charming's daughter, the main character) kisses Henry's forehead, and it awakens the whole town, so everyone knows who they are.
please i am begging you to do this per season 😭 everything is just too chaotic to miss out on

Majority of the characters ended up being multiple fairytale characters hence the confusion around rumple being beast.
An explanation of the heart thing: certain characters like Rumple and the Queen had the ability to remove hearts through dark magic, to either control someone or crush it and kill them.
Fun fact: The Queen/Regina had a vault full of hearts
Inherited talent from her mother The Queen of Hearts 😂😂
@@NeytiriPhoenixHow did Rumple get it? Did I miss a weird twist in the family tree that makes them related?
@@checksanityit’s through practicing dark magic! he taught both Regina and her mother. (He is the Dark One)
(another awkward family twist since Rumple also flirted with Regina and Zelena, Regina's half sister) and ripped out her own heart... so yeah... all fun and games really 🤣🤣
But basically if you can do magic you can rip out a heart. Emma can, Hook does at one point when Cora spells his hook, Zelena can too. It's just a magic spell that, if you can do magic, you can learn.
"Unless you're a sociopath...
Which we haven't determined she's not" Has me CACKLING for no good reason 😭😭😭

I was only ever confused by the last season. It was wild trying to make sense of that.
uhh yes!! I think he would especially love all the villains! Especially neverland!

YES

Ripping hearts out of chests is the most common thing in this series.
You explained this so well I forgot how many human hearts are in the series and remembering them one after another made me kinda sink
This is one of those shows where you actually need to watch all of it, or you will get lost. Each character ends up being like 5 characters, and everyone is somehow related. It's WILD!
The way I actually had to check the day like "I thought it was Monday today" only to be doubly shocked that it is actually Monday
god i’d give anything for you to watch this entire show. it’s so insane
I love how he kept referring to Rumpelstiltskin as Rumpy 😭
Season 7 was its own stand alone season, kind of. For most of the show the blonde girl, Emma, that you saw at the beginning of the show was the main character. Her arc ended with season 6, and then we pick up with 'grown-up' Henry's arc in season 7. Once Upon a Time is actually a really chaotically addicting show. It's 100% cheesy and insane, but in a fun way. The bad CGI and green screen scenes are just a part of that.

oh you poor soul, you will never know the sheer chaos you've missed
Facts he'll never see the messiest parts 😭 like dark Emma
@@berryonce3067this comment intrigues me its so funny
My favorite part of your videos is that you're like. Face-blind *and* voice-deaf, if that's a thing. I love it 😂
That's why I love watching his videos too cause I don't feel alone being like wait who was that and it's the mc just wearing different clothes or changed their hair 😭🤣
As ridiculous as this series was I loved Hook & Emma’s romance, that made the entire binge worth it. Their first kiss in Neverland was 🔥
same
Some of the best onscreen chemistry ever
the real ones know theyre the best
I think it won a best kiss on TV award even
They're literally gold
rumple ended up being my favourite character when I finished this show lmao this is so funny to watch, i wish you did season by season for this
This is genuinely the best show for you to actually react to the full thing
he won't unfortunately. he doesn't really do that with shows and i get it.
4:33 I met him on that show. When I saw him in 50 Shades , I was like, "Look. He was on Once Upon a Time."😂😂
I've watched this a loooong time ago... but
1) Rumplestinskin is also the Beast in this universe
2) Jamie Dornan left the show mid first season
3) It's good till like season 3-4, than it goes downhill
4) Season 7 was after a time jump and with mostly different cast and set in different town
5) There is a musical episode, which I recommend to watch just for fun
6) Sebastian Stan is there for like 3 episodes in season 1
OH MY GOD I FORGOT ABOUT THE MAD HATTER SKJBFKJAHV I LOVED HIM SO MUCH
@@hiddlestunned yeah, I was pissed he wasn't longer in the show
OUAT is genuinely the most chaotic convoluted show I’ve ever seen I wish Dylan would watch more of it 😂😂
The explanations he was searching for...
Yeah 6 or 6 1/2 ish season
Don’t forget he’s also the ‘Crocodile’ in the Hook/Peter Pan arc 😅
@@urockgirl And Peter Pans son as well
@@jsiutn5003 And his also Henry's grandfather on his father's side (Neal/Bealfire)
WELCOME TO THE CLUB i’ve been trying to finish this one show for literally years now but now i’m trying to get myself to finish One Piece and MHA and i’m also gonna start JJK and i’m finishing Gilmore Girls but i’m also rewatching-
“Are there different worlds? I wish they were more clear…” - if only he knew, WE ALL WANT TO HAVE MORE CLARITY with OUAT 😂😂😂
"I hate that they're cutting between...there are different worlds? I wish that could be more clear." *the first episode literally has a prologue stating that all the character are stuck in our world and this is their story*
Rumple is basically beast and they be ripping everyone’s heart out all the time in this show lol
Yeah you can’t explain this show to anyone, even people who have seen the entire show get confused over what actually happened 😂😂
@@thomasdunford7122except for the rare few of us who’ve watched it an ungodly amount of times lol. But yes it’s very crazy 😂
YEESSS I LOVE THIS SHOW LOL!! I've rewatched it like four times. The writing is incredible and the storylines and plots are so compelling. The way they entangle all of the fairytale stories is so cool in my opinion. Regina, Pan, and Hook are my fave characters
Dylan would definitely like this show if he gave it a chance. And he would fall in LOVE with Regina, especially because she also plays Ursula
pretty sure there is a different ursula..
@meganmcleod6152 yea, there was she was pretending to be Ursula
@@olicityfan1150 Still, I dont think he would survive that
Dylan there’s so much I wish I could have answered for you while watching this 😂
Jamie Dornan’s character was the huntsman from the Snow White story.
I’d pay for Dylan to react to the entirety of this insane show 😂
You shouldve watched the season 6 finale instead. Season 7 was a soft reboot that kinda flopped so it got the show canceled, but Emma’s arc ends with the season 6
I havent seen s7 yet i kinda forgot about it tbh haha but i was wondering why I didn’t remember anything from the last episode
I have almost the exact same opinion! It was my first big show too!
I kinda feel the same. It was cool going with the original Disney characters & Brothers Grimm fairy tale themes, then it was like they expanded to all types of fictional characters
I used to LOVE this show, it was the first one that I watched when I was a kid, the story was awesome.
I never got to finished it, I stopped at season 4, but now this video made me want to rewatch it
lol same. I stopped watching around season 4, never finished it.
the whole thing about OUAT is that everything is based on timing, flashbacks, (lost) memories, and overlapping stories. Rumpelstiltskin IS infact himself AND the beast from Belle's story. he trained the queen of hearts who mothers another one of our favorite characters and a bunch more drama that is honestly too complex for this 1 post. I was SO EXCITED watching this video 🤩 i got excited for a second when Dylan said "2 episodes" cus i thought he was gonna do ep.1+2
he is also the chrocodile from peter pan/capitan hook AND he replaced the fairy from Cinderella's sotry
but he is also Henry's grandfather
FINALLY!!!! OMG YES! I’ve wanted you to watch this for so long!!!!
Ya same, but I couldn’t say anything 😭😭
Fr. Just wishing it'd happen bcs if we ever said anything it would've never happened lmaooo
The fact that Ginnifer Goodwin and Josh Dallas ended up together through the show always fills me with joy
And she was pregnant when Snow White was in season 3 after the Peter Pan arc
They always find eachother ❤
UK 🇬🇧 fan here. Honestly you need to watch the series, there is so much more to it, back stories, character redemption and much much more. I Love the series and went to conventions and meet lots of the cast too.
Ccol fact about the apples. The woman with the dark hair (Regina) makes a poisoned apple pie for the woman with blonde hair (Emma) but the kid eats it, so it's funny that you mentioned something about the apples and them being evil😂
I mean.... it's a no brainer when she's clearly supposed to be the evil queen.
? You know these stories are all based on centuries-old fairytales literally everyone knows, right? Everyone knows what the apple represents and the fact that it's poison, and knows she would be the one to use it.
@@TheMindofagenius1Exactly
Also since the Evil Queen adopted Henry that also technically makes him Emma's uncle😅
what
Because he would be Snow's brother
Thank you very much, I wanted the lore but I have no patience to watch the show. You saved me!
Tell me I'm not the only one who got lost by the fifth sentence so I had to draw up a family tree and connect everyone🤦🏽♀️🤣
I think the most important thing to understand about OUAT is that it is a soap opera. With all the classic tropes that go along with that. Just with fairytale characters.

"Does he have a shotgun in his boot?"
It's certainly louder than his fist.
