I’m Mexican but I don’t like sour stuff. I’ll eat it in caldo and like umm tacos but that’s it. I’m more of a spice and sweet person. Sour kind makes me feel sick and gives me a headache

Lemon brings the flavors back to life! For most soups especially things that simmer for a really long time.
I grew up on my mom's chicken noodle soup, which is quite similar to yours but with star anise in the stock. It's absolutely gorgeous! Whenever I feel homesick, or need some serious tlc, all I have to do is smell some star anise and I feel better.
Weather starting to get cooler here in Ireland and this is a cosy autumn soup, I can't wait to make it. Thanks for sharing the recipe

I cooked this soup on sunday and it was SO GOOD! It was so simple and absolutely delicious! I cooked my noodles on the side, bc I knew I would eat the rest tonight after work and it was the right choice! Next time I'll do it again like that and pop the chicken in the oven, such a amazing technique Laura

I'm happy to try the roast chicken - I usually buy a roast chicken to "save time" but you're right...its nice to have a low and slow time in the kitchen. I usually make tiny matzoh balls instead of noodles because I like the firmer texture. This will be fab, and I can't wait to try it!

no sweet you are not crazy in Germany they also come granolata on their chicken noodles soup granolata is parsley craze and lemon peel very finely chopped and I also squeeze fresh lemon over or get an ice cube of frozen lemon juice in my soup it cools it a bit and gives a wonderful taste I use both at once

I had to watch this video 3 times and just came back to say I finally cooked this chicken soup for dinner last night. It was so good and the depth of flavors were definitely there. 100% will be making this again. My family loved it. Everyone had a 2nd bowl. And we all squeezed lime and added a spoon of Greek yogurt (mixed with dried mint) ♥️ Thank you ♥️

Great stock. Agree, few herbs. I use a turnip other than parsnips, but both fine! And thanks for encouraging leaving onion skins on. A secret to colorful stock!

Wow I have not watched in years but I remember when I first started using UA-cam for recipes you were one of the first people I watched for a long time yup like 10 years ago
I usually make a huge batch of broth and boil the entire, say 10 cups of broth, to 2 cups, then they harden in the fridge like jello and I freeze them in ice cubes try or tiny containers and use each with water whenever I need broth while cooking (of course after I remove the hardened fat). This method of oven cooking is interesting, I am definitely trying that one to see the difference, I usually caramelize my chicken pieces on the stove. Your broth looks very clear and clean!

I always roast my chicken before I make the soup, such amazing flavor! Once you try roasting it first, you'll do it that way forever. Now I need your recipe for beef vegetable barley soup. I just can't seem to get quite the flavor I want and crave. I hope you can share it soon 🤗
