@@dunnadiditon behalf of alot of folks who don't own any of these camera's what would you do with gopro footage?
For me specificly I try to find what you do here and try to make it fit on gopro footage since I fly fpv drones.
Fun stuff, love it!… I did notice you didn’t use any windows or any qualifiers, which is great practice to keep. Doing everything without them and using broad ranges is the way to go, and only moving to the qualifiers if it’s ur last hope. Or if it’s the only way to do the job. Qualifying usually breaks or at least looks unnatural to the eye, but to each their own, right!?

Yeah I try not to use too many qualifiers. Windows I’ll use more often but didn’t feel called to on these I guess… maybe just cause I was more focused on what I could do with the panel.
As far as the panel goes, it’s great but I do find it a little bit limited. Like it does LOTS but leaves out some stuff that I’d really love to have in a panel, so maybe I just need the mini, not the micro.

I know this is half a year ago, but the OG's honour must be defended! She shoots10 bit 422 or 12 bit Raw. Nothing less, nothing more. Off I go now.

What an amazing idea. I want my footage to be on next. I can probably learn a ton. I shoot h.265 10 bit on the Nikon z8. Do you require log to be eligible? It doesn’t seem like it based on the footage you received. If you do a version 2, id love to submit some of my footage if you do a version 2 of this video.

There is no format from the OG Blackmagic Pocket that is 8bit. So if the footage was falling apart, then the most likely culprit would have been the footage being recorded in ProresLT, and your grade was likely starting to make the compression artifacts visible. Either that or they compressed the footage to another format.
Interesting! I was just reading the info that DVR was giving me in the media pool and matching it to what the people who submitted said so I’m not sure exactly what happened!
Apparently Davinci Resolve 18.5 and newer now recognizes Sony XAVC - I 10-bit 4.2.2 slog3 as RAW for FX series cameras. Unfortunately not a7IV and other non-FX series that can shoot xavc s-I 10bit 4.2.2 slog3.

For someone doing these kind of videos, you really should calibrate your display. your skintones are almost always too red, or your reds/magenta are too bumped up.
