    Nissan knows how to build a proper truck and what I really like about Nissan is they are not playing the towing numbers game which is just complete crap from the big 3 and are actually honest with their numbers so the consumers tow safely.

    • @Jackmerius_Tacktheretrix

      Right, people think their crew cab long ranch or platinum tows 13,000lbs when in fact they tow roughly the same as all the others. In order to get those max numbers you have to get a stripped down base model xl 2wd single cab with no options but the max tow package.

      @Jackmerius_Tacktheretrix this. My 2016 Titan cummins I bought in 2020 for 13k. I got hit by a drunk driver amd my truck is in the shop. I'm using a 2022 ram 1500 that has NO features other than a nice infotainment screen. No trailer brake, no anything for 70k. Absolutely wild

    Want to hear it from the horses mouth? I am a current 2016 Nissan Platinum Reserve Titan XD Cummins Diesel 4X4 crew cab owner and I can tell you from personal experience of driving and towing with this truck this is one hell of a truck! Yes, it had its issues up front but it was a clean sheet designed truck and what brand new vehicle does not have its problems from the big three manufactures? If you don't believe me just go to any of the bulletin boards for the big three and read about the problems and grief people have with their new clean sheet vehicles. Today I am a happy as a clam with my Titan XD since everything was diagnosed and fixed under warranty since its been one hell of a reliable truck since. Not once in the dealership since then and I still have another year on my factory warranty so that's five years standard factory warranty for no additional cost to me. Also, talking about towing, you try taking one of the big three half ton pickup trucks out on a long haul with a 9500 lbs to 10,000 lbs. plus load behind it and you see if you don't have your ass puckering every mile since you're going to be white knuckling it all the way to your destination. They all are too light and do not have the suspension setups for any heavy towing. Not my Titan XD! It handles my trailer exceptionally well in fact I don"t honestly even notice the trailer is back there until I look in my mirrors; which like he said for half ton mirrors they are great factory towing mirrors. It is just setup right from the factory to tow great! Anyways, I got a great deal and I believe I got more truck when I bought my Titan XD then I would've for the same money from the big three manufactures and yes I am an educated consumer and I did my home work and shopped around. Thank you for the honest review.

    Finally someone who gets it. It's a half ton truck with beaffier frame, brakes, hubs, axels, etc. And it doesn't ride like a 3/4 ton number wagon with concrete wheels. A really comfy ride, no rev limit and pulls like an ox. Does the f150 have built in goose neck? Does the Chevy have an electronic locking rear end? Bolt a bowtie, sheeeeep or blue oval to this thing and it would sell like mad!

Purchased the XD version for the towing safety. Bigger Brakes . Bigger Frame. I didn't need a 3/4ton but this is just Perfect. And I know I won't be consistently bringing it back to the dealership for repairs like the Big 3

    My wife and I are newbies. We expected to be in our 2nd year of full time living in a class A by now, but life sometimes takes an unexpected turn medically speaking. So now we are looking at travel trailers pulled by a half ton pickup. We really like your calm delivery of genuine info from your experience, and we thank you! We subbed to your channel today. We think we have found the trailer for us, a Jayco 237RBS, and now we are looking for a truck to pull it. We are both retired and our children and my side of the family live hundreds of miles away. Thank you for helping us do our “due diligence.”

    My 2 cents here. Im 66, bought a used titan several years ago. BEST vehicle i have ever owned. Now have 233k on it. Only 1 issue, repaired by independent shop (starter). I plan on going to 500 k. If something happens to change my plan, im buying an XD when i find one. Fyi, mine is a 2wd. We bought a camper a few years back. The salesman was shocked when we hooked it up the 1st time as the truck bed didn't sag. He told me it was the 1st half ton he had seen that did that. This is a great truck !!!

      @Jackmerius_Tacktheretrix 4 роки тому +4

      @@WillC299 yeah but in order to have that towing and payload rating in an f150 you have to get a single cab long bed stripped down base model xl with no options with the max tow/max haul package. So that loaded f150 king ranch or platinum tows and hauls about the same as the rest of the jalf tons. And no way I'd tow that much with a half ton whether its rated for that or not. It doesnt have enough weight. Ive towed my trailer with an F150 and a Tundra and there's no comparison to my titan xd when it comes to stability, especially on a 2 lan road when an 18 wheeler passes from the other direction or when dealing with crosswinds in the mountains. My xd also squats less than my 19 f250 work truck did with the same 1500lb load. The f250 squatted big time, the xd just levelled out. I have no doubt the xd could safely tow quite a bit more than its rated for.

We're not just going to band aid something. We'll put a whole brand new unit from the factory in. Thanks Nissan. My ONLY.. ONLY.. downside is. They didn't offer sunroof in 2018.
      And... It's more Made in America than most trucks. Look it up!! Well I did. Wasn't most but I was shocked a bit. In order if American Made ness.. combined a few different lists.. 1. Toyota n Ford pretty equal.. flip flipped first and second in different lists.. 2. Dodge.. 3. Nissan.. 4. Other Dodge models. 5. Chevy then 6. GMC Last.. Wow. Who would think GMs last??

    Run from this truck. Nissan used to put out a great product. Now, they are in trouble.
    I shopped all the brands, but had intended to Ford. After extensive research, I went with the tried and true and trusted the Tundra the most. It feels like a solid ingot of steel. Quality is crazy good. I've owned every brand, but over my many years of cars and trucks ownership, Toyota has always been the best performer for reliability and resale.
    I also love how American my truck is and that it was built just about 90 miles from me here in Texas.

    Excuse my bad English folks. I purchase a brand new Titan sv 2017. At 17000 kilometres, the engine begin knocking. At 24000 kilometres, in June 2019, Nissan replace my motor (short block). Now this month at 35000 kilometres my motor knocking again. It is always the cylinder number 7 who is problematic. Real epidemic trouble. In my small town we are 3/3 with this trouble. On Facebook pages, I’ve seen A LOT of cases, I see guys who are on third motor on 2018 model. Also see people with this problem on 2019 model (Titan, armada.) Nissan seems to don’t have a clue about this problem. The 7 speed transmission on 16-19’ model doesn’t works well too, and seems to be change very often . Long story short, run for your life, you can see a video of my titan knocking on my profile. I swear to god, I don’t beat the truck at all really light works sometimes.

      @@josediaz4914 The reliability of a truck varies depending on the engine and equipment. The least reliable engines in the half-ton segment or the GM 5.3L and 2.7L, the RAM 3.0L, the Ford 3.0L and 2.7L. The most reliable engines in the half-ton segment are the Ford 3.3L and the GM 4.3L (the Ford engine is newer, more fuel efficient, and was developed by Mazda, the king of reliability). Every other engine in the segment is neither terribly unreliable nor above average in reliability, they're middle of the road. So the reality is, a 4x2 regular cab F-150 with the 3.3L engine and manual windows, mirrors, and locks is arguably the most reliable truck you can buy today since its the simplest. On the other hand, a F-150 with the 3.0L diesel with a giant touchscreen and every option box checked is going to be a total turd in terms of long-term reliability because it is so complex and because Ford's 3.0L diesel is notoriously unreliable, especially if you let it idle a lot.
      There'a a balance between simplicity and reliability, and complexity and bells and whistles, and its the buyers job to decide where that balance best fits their needs.
