- Today we took some time to fix the interior of my daily driven 1990 Ford Mustang Foxbody LX. It had some major issues that drove me insane so today we took the time to fix them. It also now has AC!

As much as I've been enjoying your channel.
I CANT STAND that flocked dash. Lol..
Good stuff man, you get shit done man, I love that.
I would love to see a “How To” on paint and body related stuff
Filming one as I’m typing this.
@@Thecraig909 HELL!!!!YEAH!!!!!
Many UA-cam channels team up with other channels. This sort of thing occurred on Matt's Off-road Recovery channel sending me first to Fab Rats and Then to Robby Layton's channel. He is a body shop and even though I've been building cars for 45+ years, I learned so good info there you can add to whatever Craig offers.
I am surprised your going too paint this one with all that PATINA 🤔😔😂
looks real good!
It's alternator whine. Ground the deck itself, And run rcas on the opposite side of the car than the power wire.
For the noise throught your stereo you probably have a constant or switched power that has to much going on.. try finding another source for each or make your own for each. Those ground loop isolator aren't really necessary..
This video, I like! I like it alot!
whats the song at 4 and a half mark?
Great job
Looking Good! Now Just get the SEM Black Trim Spray Paint and do the Rear window trim! LOL
It’s the power wire, someone mentioned it also. Run the speaker wires if you can on the opposite side of the car and that will fix it. Had that same problem on my 06 mustang GT when I installed an aftermarket deck and sub
“If you polish a turd enough, eventually it’ll turn into a clean foxbody” -me 2022
Alternator whine....dealt with that as well....grounds grounds and more grounds...there like gremlins lol...a good ground straps makes a world a difference
I remember when you bought this thinking I wouldn’t drive that but not it’s turning into my Facebook marketplace showing me all the fox body’s in like 3 states.
That sun is doin no favours to your cars day in day out parked outside baking away.Build a shade kid! Maybe over that gravel area? You need to finish up that trim around the side windows.Roof liner seems busted over driver door it seems ....You might want to check out Cobra Builts channel btw......
Typically that fake supercharger sound is with a bad ground, my father’s foxbody has the same thing and honestly it just seems like a normal thing with these cars.
You need a radio capacitor. It ground to an accessory bracket and plugs into the wiring harness. It probably got removed somewhere along the line.
Mint I love these foxbody videos
Your whinnying noise is the condenser in the distributor. And it will fix your noise problem. Put a new voltage condenser in.
That winding sound you’re hearing while driving. It’s that you need a better ground from your motor to the chassis of the car once you get a thicker gauge wire it should go completely away.
Why would someone delete their AC living in CA or most places? I live in No-Cal now and use my AC year round.
Good job bro💯 I took all of the interior panels out to re-paint them and bought the complete interior screw kit. Now I'm actually in the process of putting everything back together it takes time and patience but it's all worth it 👌 💯
I'd suggest looking at your plug wires for that whine in your audio.
Add a capacitor in the power in will filter out the voltage noise...
Ground youre alternator to chassis with 4g welding cable it should take youre whine out of the radio
Always hype when I see the notification for a video!!!
I’m not gonna lie when you were doing the interior and that song was playing in the background that song hit different that was a bad ass song
Are you charging your phone with it hooked up to your radio if so that’s what making the noise
What kind of steering wheel hub are you running?
Check the grounding at the alternator. Looking great!
I'm from Temecula C.A not to far from were you from💯🤙
What song was bud in that time laps
Really enjoying the effort and attention you are putting into your fox body. My favourite Mustangs are the early fastbacks. Good job freshening up the interior.
Mustang has come a long way from when you first got it. Awsome job Craig.
Love you show it cool . Like to have a sticker if I can have one .
Good afternoon Craig hope you have a great day
Thanks! You too
Great Video Nice job
nice work man - keep the content coming.
I had some similar problems…
Look up “big three upgrade”
Also quick thing to try is ground the outside of the rca cable to the chassis of the radio on one end and the chassis of the amp on the other end.
After that make sure the quality of power and ground wire is “ofc” oxygen free copper.
Also I added a ground from the body of the alternator to the car chassis ground. No whine and car runs smoothly.
I did enjoy the music!
Another great video. Love seeing how you are making her better and better. Even the little things matter.
where is the dash from ?
I'm not a mustang guy in any way shape or form, but I appreciate what you're doing and really am enjoying seeing you get this car to match your vision. Making a believer outta me
love seeing the notis pop up
Great video bro
Nice work 👌.
👍😎😎😎
Great work
👍
AC IN SD!!
First
you need a better ground for the radio. then the hum will go bye bye
did you try grounding the stereo directly to the battery negative terminal instead of the chassis? if you get a hum still after doing that, it could be a bad filter on the alt.
Looking great man! Always motivation watching you put out content at the rate you do. I know how much work that is. Thanks for sharing
I've had inductive whine in a bunch of cars and it's always been the result of weak voltage levels on the low level output. No amount of Earth cleaning, separated Constant Power, shielded RCAs or ground loop isolators solved the problem. Replaced a cheap Chinese or old brand-name headunit with a unit that had 4v RCA output and it fixed the issue.
Inductive whine only happens when the signal is being overpowered, which can happen when a 1v audio signal is reduced to 0.25v at partial volume for 3m wire in a car.
Did you convert the ac to 134?
Yes
@Thecraig909 What's your plan for the rear window trim refinishing? I think (more than even the front end which is obviously work-in-progress) it detracts the most from the overall finished look of the exterior. I'm curious how you are going to approach the restoration.
I like how your car is turning out. Reminds me of how little things can go a long way. I’ve spent the last 2 years off and on rebuilding a 1993 Ford F-150 I got for 1000 dollars. Cab swap new radiator fender alternator header panel grill door headlights and now it’s close to being road worthy. After two years it actually charges the battery. And hopefully I will have it on the road before I turn 17 at the end of the year. Pretty good for only having 3 grand into it in total.
What is a serious car guy? Someone who gets just as geeked up by improving the looks of his car and admiring it every day as making performance mods or cutting time off of runs. Hell, for me even that feeling right after finishing a full detail is hard to beat. Like my hp's though too LOL!
My 88 has grey interior, it had sparco racing seats and a rear seat delete (3 piece fiberglass) which im not too fond so im in the process of putting mine back factory or close, i found 92 high back grey buckets and put them in and im looking for a nice back seat to match in grey, everything else inside is ok dashwise but i have to get doorpanels, havent even put mine back on since painting the car, my exterior is great
I stumbled on this channel whenever you posted the video of you fixing the exhaust on this car. I’ve been hooked since. This car has come a long way. Keep up the great work. You help keep me motivated on my 95 GT.
It’s the little detail stuff that bugs you the most and makes such a big difference once there done. Great job 👍🏼
that kind of whine is usually caused by a bad diode in the altenator im a retired Electronic tech, been there done that in my yonger years cars looking good
I like the hood hidden latches, one piece at a time.
It’s looking good 👍🏼
Can’t wait to see it painted.
You have to ground you're rca cables to the stereo itself
I did that. Made it quieter but not completely gone for some reason.
@@Thecraig909 OK man than it is the alternator I hate it when that happens buts it's a cheep fix
Your radio could be the source of uour ground loop noise ...i had a friend with a cheap radio and it did the same thing
It’s cheap so that’s what I’m expecting.
Excellent concert very detailed definitely will be back to this channel. What kind of camera do you use ???
