I was using Jax Wax from their beginning back around 1993; they are local to me and would stop by the shop I worked at and ask us to test their products...cool to see Jax Wax is all the way in California.
Craig I’ve been watching your videos for a while now and I absolutely love them!! I’ve gained an insane amount of knowledge from you. So thank you for that!! Videos are killer, keep up the great work, beautiful vehicles and the never ending life of FOMOCO!!
It's confirmed every day - the right tools (and compounds) is most of what you need. Know-how next. And brawn and patience to get it done. Great tip on porosity and its effect BTW.
This fox is incredible I love the wheels.. The black ect... And I love that it's a windsor too.. There's no sound like a windsor with that exhaust.. Damn!!
I had a black 58 TBird for years. Beautiful. But by the time I had the California duster run down one side of the car, it was time to dust the other side again. I just did circles dusting the whole show.
I’ve been watching for a bit, and I knew you were in California. But I didn’t realize San Diego area. I spent a few childhood years in El Cajon. Super awesome to unexpectedly hear of that place again.
Wow what a difference that made. A great information on video I'll save to my watch list concerning paint enhancement. That's going to be the name of my watch list I keep it under
Looking good! I'm going to have to use these products on my 2000 black gt. Mine needs new paint on the roof and wing too though. The clear is coming off of those.
Love your style. You are wearing glasses in the video....LOL. You had a 1500 dollar paint correction done on a 5.0 with a 200 dollar paint job....with no paint on the roof. I LOVE foxbodies but man ,your style is awesome
Great video. Thats some great stuff. Now you MUST repaint that top and spoiler and fix door to get it all to match or at least look as good as the rest
Any way you can consolidate a tools, supplies and parts list for everything that you've done on the car? I've been very hesitant on repainting my IS300 due to lack of knowledge and what tools to get in order to get the paint looking brand spanking new.
The best tip I ever learned doing detail and new car prep, regarding how to keep black cars clean for more than a day: Ready? You're really learning a trade secret, here... No. 1 way to keep black cars clean for more than a day? Answer: You can't. It's called the "black tax". It looks amazing for about an hour, but then you're chasing dust, water spots, bird poo, finger prints, etc. Rinse-less Wash and quick-detail spray are your friends. You can a car cover when you park overnight, but it's a matter of how particular you want to be.
The ffoocus was so sweet it has been a min since ce www saw it . Didn't you buy some junk yard parts for it that was rare you cleaned them with the aluminum brightener
I only use the blue and the white pad. The green and yellow I used when I was new to the system. Him teaching you how to do it. He is using way to much compounded. You don’t even need half that amount.
I hear ya im 41 I was taught with a old 7inch Dewalt machine wool pad setup body shop days. these days there's so many companies and products I don't even know where to start
I’ve been here since the Jeep truck or when you went drag racing the first time when you was in highschool I remember when you was doing some donuts in the f100 in a field
That’s an awesome car! I just bought one two weeks ago. I had a Foxbody three years ago and got rid of it and my wife got sick of hearing me whine about it lol. So she told me to go buy a new one!!😁
Hey Craig love the videos, what wheels and offset are those? I’m building a 69 f100, swapped in a rear axle from an explorer and it is a good bit narrower
Talking about the Clear being too far gone on the roof, is there a way to do some kind of FO TINA? Not the whole rust look, but some kind of precision wet sanding. Kinda like how your other Fox body turned out. In the long run I see you repainting the whole car anyway.
Pro tip: You can't keep a black car clean. I used to campaign a black show car, won a lot of Best Paint trophies. And I will never, ever, EVER, own another black car. Not even a beater.
Ceramic coating mah dude. If you get it properly ceramic coated all that water will just roll off and you can do very minimal car washes w/ceramic coating approved car wash materials.
Little by little the stang is coming along, however every time you do anything to it it shows other things that need some attention to, yes the trim but the gaps and fitment of all the body panels needs adjustments (bad), and when you do deside to paint the top you should consider just painting the whole car top to bottom front to back, you'll be surprised how much better it would look after that, not sayin it look bad now tho, scale 1 to 10 now, I'd say 6, after adjustments and paint, could be a solid 10,
Craig question, My brother is planning on moving out to San Diego and I told him not to cuz like in LA everywhere you go is overrun with homeless crackheads. I know that most of southern and central california is like this but IDK if oceanside is like this. Is it bad there in the San Diego area? mustang looks great BTW!!
@@Thecraig909 ok hopefully it will stay that way. I honestly think everything other than San Diego should just fall into the ocean. it would be nice if they cleaned it up but democrats don't do that. I love California but they have all but destroyed it. its sad that kids can't even walk to school w/o stepping over needles.
You are right, all the compounds are the same, no one is superior over the other just more $$$. Now if you have the right buffer and pads you could use toothpaste and make it look good. No top secret formula. 😃
This Foxbody to me is just amazing. It’s practically a race car for the street. Keep up the awesome with this car Craig
Thank you Jared. Will do!
It's a pretty common and budget upgrade package for the 302. Hardly a racecar 😁
It's definitely no where close to a racecar
You can tell that guy takes pride in what he does. Big thumbs up 👍
How to keep your black car clean....... Paint it white. 😂😂

Awesome. If I lived down there I’d attend the class. Thx for sharing. Thx for sharing you skills Chris!
Soo excited! Pumped every time you post! Keep up the killer work Craig!
Great video craig, happy to hear that I'm a true og remembering the focus
I've owned two Fox bodies. Loved them both.

Wow, I'd not heard of Jax Wax and just Googled it they have a location only 10 mins from away from me in El Sobrante CA.
The thing that makes that car look The worst is those window mouldings.....
to keep the black clean i just use good ol maguiars cleaner wax or gold class wax in the tin
Came across your channel and gained a subscriber. Great content and sweet ride man.
The best tip I ever learned doing detail and new car prep, regarding how to keep black cars clean for more than a day:

You're really learning a trade secret, here...
No. 1 way to keep black cars clean for more than a day?

Is that a v6 magnum In the background with a skull paint job? My brother's body shop painted one that looks just like it
The ffoocus was so sweet it has been a min since ce www saw it . Didn't you buy some junk yard parts for it that was rare you cleaned them with the aluminum brightener
Can the roof a d spoiler be shined up with a compound and polish? Or does it need to be recleared?
Yea I remember that car. Sweet little ride.
I REMEMBER THE FOCUS. same time you were building another chassis for your f100.
I do remember that little white car. Come a long ways since then.
The egg returns!!!
I remember that car and the mustang is looking awesome
5:34 we gonna ignore the svt contour that pulled in behind Craig
I only use the blue and the white pad. The green and yellow I used when I was new to the system. Him teaching you how to do it. He is using way to much compounded. You don’t even need half that amount.
Ive said it once and I will say it again, thank you for the amazing content Craig.
I'm still old school wool pad with 25 year old makita buffer
I hear ya im 41 I was taught with a old 7inch Dewalt machine wool pad setup body shop days. these days there's so many companies and products I don't even know where to start
My 88 got new black paint 4 months ago but needs a pro to do a correction to it too lots of compound left all over im to impatient 4 that
What city? I do detailing and paint correction as well
I’m happy with the cam you got sounds way better, how does the a/c hold up when turned on?
Freakin' sweet! great video Mr. Craig! 😎 👍
Been subbed since you had 8k subs, I remember the white focus, still dirt nasty low 😂
Great looking car. Paint on that quarter window trim would finish it off!!
I been thinking about getting a mustang for a daily what do you think of that
where did you find those hood pins?
The focus is sick lol. I just have a feeling you will buy that thing back one day and make it sick
Dude that think looks awesome and what is your wheel offset and size because I'd like to get that combo for my mustang
Dang bro I’m a OG now I remember that focus
Im upset i just found your channel you really have done a lot of things i want to do and i am doing
This was great!
I’ve been here since the Jeep truck or when you went drag racing the first time when you was in highschool I remember when you was doing some donuts in the f100 in a field
Also miss seeing the square body you had with the obs front end it was so bad ass with the trophy truck suspension
Now that’s some OG content there. Thanks for sticking around!
@@Thecraig909 been a fan for ever!!! Always loved your vids and made me fall in love w f100s

Just got rid of my fox about a month and a half ago.. I need another one lol
looks great but when are you going to fix the window trim
the focus is your daily from a while back

Probably way too thin
Oh the good old focus egg
The Egg... nice
Your foxbody is looking pretty damn good.
Does your car have AC and if it does, can that use more of your gas?
Vary awesome indeed. Keep up the great work. Okay.
Those guys are polished☺🇨🇦👍
I only saw that car when you were in the process of buying the fox body
I remember the car
Pro tip: You can't keep a black car clean. I used to campaign a black show car, won a lot of Best Paint trophies. And I will never, ever, EVER, own another black car. Not even a beater.
That white car didn’t you call it the egg 😂
Had to leave a comment to make it 100
Aluminum or carbon fiber driveshaft, when?
OGs remember the Focus, real OGs remember the C10!
the music being louder than the voice parts in your videos, is that done on purpose?
I think we are too far away, but I would gladly detail any ride.
Ceramic coating mah dude. If you get it properly ceramic coated all that water will just roll off and you can do very minimal car washes w/ceramic coating approved car wash materials.
Yeah if you take it to Maaco Maybe 🤣🙃
I remember it
Pre Cool cail uy! from Michigan.
Looks great
Number one tip for keeping a black car clean, paint it white.
The driver side needs to be repainted whenever you do paint the roof and wing the colors not quite there otherwise great painting
Paint it flat black and it will still look good
still waiting for the a/c to be finished
Lmao he just smoked it
Keeping a black car clean? Don’t park outside. Or PPF the whole thing?
I had a black truck and lived on gravel. The secret to keeping a black vehicle clean is so simple. Don’t drive it.
Nice!
EASY to keep a black car clean, just paint it gray.

I will remember
so what kind of an OG am i if ive been around when there was only the F100 one Galaxie on the channel?
MEGA OG
@@Thecraig909 How about an og that's been here since your open header video.?

San Diego is sooo much better than LA. Literally anything north of the 8 freeway is chillen in my opinion. Love it out here
