I'm two years younger and a lot less experienced, but you give me the inspiration every video to work on my Fox and make it just as cool as yours Craig!
You just have to be willing to make mistakes so that you can learn from them and do it better next time. I rebuilt my 351w 3 times for my foxbody before finally bringing it to a machine shop on the 3rd rebuild.
Me too i have a 88 identical to craigs that runs but needs built
Nice rebuild. Nice, quick run down on how they bore the cylinders. Good job bud.
Thanks!
@@4SpeedGarage great job man! I learned a lot from how you explained everything.
Craig that is freaking awesome! What I would do to be young in my 20s again no wife and no kids. Seeing you and your buds just kicking around and laughing doing car stuff❤️. Glad you got her running. Ready to see how she performs but be easy on her😂 Yea right… take care and ready to see her git it!
Chris- Tuscaloosa Al
Oh come on ! Lots of “old” guys hang out and wrench on stuff. Now we have the time and financial means to play. Just at a slower pace is all. 😂
Foxbody comtent coming back sooner than I thought. Let’s goooooooooo
I'm running gt40p heads with LMR econo stainless steel headers and 90° boots with very little problems. I modified the spark plug socket and it slides over no issues. Great video Craig.
Nice build man. I love that car. Sounds amazing! Great job!
I love the pod in the background at the machine shop. So awesome.
Thanks! I put it on
Nice to hear it running again. All night thrashes often leads to mistakes.
Your videos are awesome! Junkyard digs recommended this channel
Great work Craig!!! loved the content. that Fox body ROCKS... Been a fan since 87 Subscribers!! Just one question, Who are the Two fools clownin around? Take your bad ass content and cycles in and out idiocracy!! BRING BACK THE OLD CREW !! BTW Nice to see the CUZ make a cameo.
well done on the speedy rebuild!!! curious if it makes significantly more power now that before.. heads and the fresh bottom end with ring seal, that flat top is probably worth almost half a point in comp, the P heads are worth a bit as well with 3-4cc small chambers. now i need to go get my foxbody out of storage and do something to it!
Damn dude I miss building motors it brings me back to when my dad was teaching me. Thank you for this video I lost my dad in 2017.
I've been subbed for about 6years.. since you pulled the engine from the f250. I am loving the Fox Content.
That kid is awesome a dying breed for sure our machine shops are dying out around here not sure if it’s lack of business or just no one wanting to run them anymore 🤷🏼♂️
That kid is me! Nobody cares about it anymore and crate engines are cheap. It’s hard to sell honest work now
Most cars since 2000 are throw aways... No engine rebuilds...
Usually the cars are shit by then.
GDI engines are dead at 150k. Cost more to fix than the rebuilt car is worth.
I gotta 88 5.0 GT collecting dust in my garage. Watching your video motivates me to get the stang back on the road.
i did the gt40p heads on a 91 5.0. The money saved from using the gt40p heads over aftermarket aluminum was offset after doing plugs once or twice. those shorty plugs arent cheap and the headache of having to loosen the headers to get at em was enough to cure me of chasing those 25 hps with the 4 bar head. It ran great tho!
I'm a regular viewer but today I finally figured it out - No one on the internet has fartier Fords LOL
Watch engine masters on motor trend they beat the hell out of headers and no power loss lol so your good bro
Exactly
Awesome work sir! I look forward to the next craig909 adventure: same bat time, same bat channel😊
The bread tip is very smart! Cool idea!
Love the old school tech & tools. AWESOME
Pro tip- wet paper towels work better than bread and you're more likely to have them in your shop. It's also nice to see Ethan hard at work helping you out
Thanks man!
Yeah, but those wet paper towels will never taste as good as the bread. 😂
I did get to see the car in person at the goodguys show and it did look good, the guys from black widow were really cool too.
Respect ! That’s dedication fr..
Ethan seemed like a cool guy. Very knowledgeable.
Fr
Thanks!!! I appreciate it. I’m starting up my own channel soon!
👍👊
I'm sorry bro but cutting corners is never your friend. Do it right now or regret it later.
He's too "poor" to do it correctly
You can do it right, or right now. Not both!
right, i saw the lack of torque plate and remembered the old saying:
if you build half-assed...you will go half-fast.
Do it nice or do it twice 🤷♂️
👌🏽
I heard that BBK shorty headers will work on the 4 bar heads from the Ford Explorer 5.0 with no issues for the spark plugs.
What a banger of a video bro! Loved it!! ❤
Hellofa job! Good to see back n black alive again
The exhaust note on that car is sweet as f@$k Craig, good job on getting it back together in a short time.
Bring back 302 windsors!! Love these motors new coyotes is nothing but that same 4.6 dohc issues they had in the navigator and mark8 and aviator s if you know you know these motors are valued for sure!
I just did the same shade of gold on the centers of some zr1 wheels on the c4 Vette I’m redoing. The color is pretty legit!
They don't call it wonder bread for nothing. 😁😁 also will work for soldering copper water pipe when you have a slow amount of water leaking at the connection point. Good stuff. 😁👍👍💪💪
''Bro anyone ever tell you, that you got cute dimples when you smile?''
Lol Craig throwin out the compliments wholesale
Well done sir! Machining is an art.
Thank you!
🤠 East bound and down loaded up up and truck'in.
We gonna do what they say can't be done.
We've got a long way go and short time to get there,
We're East bound just watch Ol Bandit Craig run. 🤠
Man of my word.. you put out a fox body shirt and I bought one!
Hope she runs good for you. She sure does sound better.
12:20 Shot in the daaaarrrrkkk. Ooone step away from you.
Time to install a bay door Craig . Fantastic job with the motor . Cheers 🇨🇦
Hey just wanted to tell you I love your channel and your videos also I wanted to know how do you keep your black snap on tool box looking so clean?!? Lol I have a gloss black 72” masters series and I’ve tried a few different cleaners and it always looks horrible in like 2 days at work lol
Very nice! Well done dude.
That's a wicked 5.0 man nice job!
That F100 was sick!😎
I cranked on mine a few days checking stuff to get it started. It eventually started right up. I think it was just the lifters needed to pump up.
Love the vid came out great just let it break in before you cut loose with it
I spotted two fine Mustangs: 1968 GTCS and 1967 GT-500. And Craig walks right on by.
You have the best looking foxbody merch on the market
Me happy that foxbody content is back but also patiently waiting for the F100 to return again
I’ve never seen a shop hone a block .020, but I mean whatever gets the clearances, place I used to work would bore .005 at a time to see where it would clean then hone to size after.. but as they say more than one way to a finished job
Hey Craig hope I see you at Fabulous Fords.
Good job. Nice rebuild. Break it in easy, I hope.👍👍
I see that You didn't use the original rods , good call and I like that You only went with a .020 over bore so You still have meat for at least another rebuild . Engine sounds good please keep up the content and updates . Thank You . 🇺🇲🇵🇷🦊👍
Looking good. The bread trick works. I used a hamburger bun.
That dominator !!!!
Idc what it took to get it running again. WHAT. A. DOGGG.
He’s got them new O’Reilly shirts 😂 I have yet to order them bc I hate the name tag style on it
That sounds real good and looks good to can’t wait to get my 85 fox going lol
Vise grip garage would disagree totally on power loss. Unless squashing it flay won't have enough power loss to matter. It'll be fine
great stuff thanks . car sounds really nice
Next time you blow it up you should swap it for a 4 bolt main. Something that will handle the way its supposed to be driven.
Use an extension, not a socket, and grease with the bread. It also works with grease alone.
sounds good
I agree that cutting corners is never a good idea. This is not roadkill pulling a junker out of a yard for a lark ... really "the timing chain" ???? why not a new one than one that is stretched. Replacing it later is a pain. ... uhggg! you can build an engine fast but come on and put good parts in it. A timing chain is cheap.
These videos always give me a good laugh
The 347 stroker in my F100 started rod knocking. I hope I get the same quick turnaround at my machine shop! 😂
offer to put 'em into a youboob video...everyone loves free advertising :)
Dang the editing is amazing
Great job on the Mustang!
I'm starting attempt 25 did you consider that maybe do you need different pushrods?
A ford not starting? I’m shocked 😳…just playin that motor sounds great 🫡🤘
Great job! Very impressive! Are your headers equal length?
I wanna do mine but not that fast, i wanna take my stock block to be rebuilt with the scat 347 rotating assembly and put on afr 195 heads holley upper and lower intake havent decided on cam yet becouse i dont anything about cams.
Now don't forget to beat it like a rented mule 😆
Motor trend did a test on smashed headers. You can beat them as much as you want and will not loose any power
I really want a fox now
You won’t regret it
Now would be the time cause they’re only going up from here
@@mustangsquad3029 yeah I know which is sad because I'm broke as shit
@The Epsilon Program yeah I've been trying to buy my dad's old 92 gt back but I don't have the money for it
I got a pair of 93 cobra gt40 (non p) heads that should not have a llthe spark plug issue
Great work hope you have fun at Goodguys
That was a thrash very cool
Lot's of room in there for a turbo/ turbo's.... Is that . 22 ring gap large enough for BOOST??? 😁
They bored the block twenty using a hone? 😳
And hand honed the crank.
Definitely OLD school.
Engine masters tested dents, no worries, dented headers ain't gonna do shit against your power...though long tubes are the way to go...
Your still got the notchback mustang or did you sale it.
Young fella u rough on them poor old small block ford's lol
Wow, red hair, mullet, and old school overalls 😂
Awesome work man.
90 degree plug boots work well with p heads
Beautiful mustang
wow thats amazing one day nice
It's aliveeeeeeeeeee 😱😱😱🤯🤯🤯🤯😍
Ever think of picking a 351 Windsor from a F250 or a Van then putting some parts to it... stroke it :-) Drop one in the parts car ;-) Turbo it and wrap the headers [protect the paint from the heat so to speak] :-) That shirt art has a kinda Miami sort of vibe to the design 🙂😎👍👍 Galaxie soon?
Great work
Pretty dang good job is that a guineas record? With a few people as a team?….. I wonder
Great job man!
Im def gettin that hoodie and shirt when i get paid shits dope
Sounds awesome.
Bar of soap works better than bread. Try it sometime. Trick I learned many years ago.
Great info. Thanks
What cam did you go with Craig?
What dip stick did you use ???
Wet newspaper works to
to get that pilot bearing out
asyou123456 A bar of soap will also work.
