if u get a k5 just get the GT line its worth the upgrade if u plan on taking it on trips
@@elevatorcentral I prefer what the GT offers more. The only thing I like about gt line is that AWD is optional.

The K5 GT would be a fun car to drive/own. IMO way better looking than a Sonata. Next best car to the Stinger.

NO WAY! I own a Stinger GT1 and the 2025 K5 AWD, AKA; Optima there’s no comparison. I don’t care what color it is. This car is overpriced about $10,000. I would wait until next year to purchase this car so you can get the $10,000 off of MSRP.

Don't know why they took out the lane keep assist button on the bottom left. The previous years have it. Sometimes kia does things backwards.

The top of the line EX and GT should have had the HUD. Same with the Sorento and Sportage top two lines. No excuses.
Kia/Hyundai…..Why even build in the US if we continue to get screwed over with tech options compared to Korea or sometimes even Canada.
Beautiful car, but distasteful design choices on the US manufacturer's part when native stock all have it standard.
Hate the yellow DRLs, and there's no black interior lining for the EX, no electric powered trunk, no fog lights(like wtf it's 35 grand). I remember seeing HUD in the native stock as well.
Looks pretty nice. Kia needs to radically re-thing there color palate and insane restrictions going from one model to the next. Its almost impossible to match up a decent color with the interior I want the bizarre way they package it. They also need to ditch that ugly purple blue and instead use the blues as offered on the Sportage and offer a green like Hyundai has on the new Tuscan. Otherwise this is a promising revamp on this sedan
The 10.24 in screen is definitely laggy on my 2024 K5 EX.
Take it in You should have 3 year coverage on electronics. None of my kias have lagged

i hear the reliability is garbage on this K5...Kia didnt heat treat the piston rings and the consumers are getting screwed at the dealerships by not getting these motors coverered by warranty
That’s probably why Kia switched to the 2.5 over the 1.6T. This motor has only been available on the K5 for the last month, so it’ll be covered by the 10/100k powertrain warranty 👍🏼

Front end looked better before, this one is kinda ugly in comparison.
Edit: overall exterior look of the last one was just sportier and more aerodynamic looking. This new one is a downgrade on the looks front, sorry just my two cents. Btw I’m a happy owner of a loaded Optima EX that I’ve driven for a while now and still love, so I’m not some hater.
Definitely not happy with the Bose system in my 2024 EX.

The dual 12.1 screens are well integrated. The fact that the flat screen peeks above the dash is intentional

They are Korean sister companies. Hyundai owns much of KIA. KIA has some of the best reviewed cars out there from reputable groups like consumer reports. I own a new sportage and 2025 carnival prestige. You dont know what youre talking about.

Youre silly. KIA adopted top designers and engineers from luxury brands like BMW. Telluride and others are premium award winning vehicles with stellar reliability. I just drove a new sportage to 100,000 in a few years for work with zero issues. Youre confusing Swedish furniture for reputable S Korean auto is your own issue. You propping up one brand while trashing another which are essentially owned by the same company is silly.
Are you in high school? If you're old enough to buy a $30,000 car, you should be old enough that bragging about the brand name doesn't matter to you. 🤣
