@@ricardoflores7098 Perhaps... but we will have to wait for Monaco to see if it translates to that type of track. I am looking forward to the racing this year.
Trulli was a qualifying specialist, one of the best in the business. This particular lap was probably one of the most spectacular laps around Monaco in its history, considering the context and the technology available. What a lap ! On the absolute limit.
@@PP-gt4zj @PP 10822 And tc. Of course the cars are faster today, but with slicks and no fuel in quali. I think the round could be 2-3 seconds faster without fuel and with slicks! Without tc it's probably really only 2..
PP 10 822 you can mostly just visually determine how great a lap is. The lap time compared to today’s cars is a useless comparison. The car’s today are so much quicker, they are so easy to drive it’s a joke (a yoke).
@lol shit which is precisely why I hate them, tho I’m not sure about performance. Funny how the FIA markets the hybrids as more environmentally conscious when they throw them out every race or two because they are so finetuned that they break down.
I remember the famous "Trulli train" lol, he obviously wasn't quicker than Fernando on the race but the fact that he was ahead of him in the standings before he left is amazing. Trulli a wasted potential
He beat Alonso in 2004! Jarno had more points, wins and had outqualified Alonso before Jarno left the team after Monza 2004! Alonso is overrated and I'm rolling with my boys Trulli, Heidfeld and Montoya ALL DAY SON.

truly.

That was Trulli a fantastic lap.
Honestly, apart from Senna’s lap in 88, this is probably one of the best laps around this track ever driven
schumi's pole in 1996 too, in that uncompetitive Ferrari.
Kimi’s pole in 2005 was arguably the best imo

yes trulli was a hotlap king
Trulli: Polesetter!
Also Trulli: Trulli-Trains...
The true Mr Saturday
He was literally the Charles Leclerc of his time
honestly being a quali specialist AND one of the best defensive drivers in history is a hell of a combo
This is what everyone wants back in F1 the V10 engines
The v10s where the best the v8s are good but v10 are so so so MUCH better. atleast thats what i think!
The best lap in Monaco. Thx mr. Trulli and renault v10.
This is one of my favourite laps ever. On his day a guy who would have out qualified any driver past or present.
Trulli a great lap!
One of the greatest pole laps in F1 ever!
1:06 incredible.. watch that corner with 0.25 speed.
That was close
INCREDIBLE PRECISION
And 0:56 doesn't even lift the pedal going through the left

Amen to that. The best era ….todays f1 is dead
With today’s timing and scoring as well

Millimeter perfect... the gear changes are mind blowing..
Quali specialist ....
i fucking love that downshift sound of this renault
True but I think the Mercedes engine sounds even better
Me too, man. Cause sometimes, it feels like the downshift sound of the Renault from 2004 make my own brain transforms into a shiny heart.😊
Simply a precise clean driver, I’m sorry that his career didn’t go as deserved.
Trulli was a god in getting the best of the machinery for one quick lap
Got pole with Toyota, twice. Also put the 2000 Jordan on the front row
That tunnel blast is just soul crushing ❤

That burst of full throttle between Mirabeau and Loews is just incredible. Using the traction control to rotate the car, too. Amazing.
That howl through the tunnel. Pure F1 theatre.
Fuck yes, Jarno. Brilliant.
Has to be the best lap in Monaco history. Beast mode activated
Will never forget the howl through the tunnel. Pure F1.

This was Trulli’s first and only race victory in F1
Trulli Awesome!
He nailed Rascasse, ridiculous!

Definitely one of the bests Monaco laps ever.
Godly lap
The lap was pretty much flawless, but imagine this with modern tire compounds.
@lol shit yeah but it was not properly set up, without modern aero, suspension, and old tech.
@lol shit I said “this” referring to the engine, but I could have phrased that better.
I hate these hybrid v6s to be honest.

Why did they not use slicks back then?
Bruh they weren't invented
Those tires were the slicks
Because the cars were too fast on slicks. So they reduced the speed with these tyres
No DRS, No batteries, bad tires, V10 and V12 sounds and slow track! This is the real F1! Today’s F1 is a joke now!
