He always had something against Fernando, Seb and Schumacher. He hated Michael because he beat him and ended his career in f1. Only Alonso used initial understeer to such an advantage. To get the most extreme view of the approach, watch him in the Renault at the French Grand Prix. It's the complete opposite of Schumacher's chassis tuning. The one flaw was in the wet, where he seemed least comfortable.
I remember in his Ferrari days a lot of wet races for example the interlagos one in 2012 which he drove like a maniac, throwing the car in a manner I've never seen before. I think he is one of the best on finding the limits of the car and sitting on the edge of it. Such a shame all the years he lost in the postmclaren era.

I’ve been watching f1 since 2005 and I believe Alonso is the best I’ve seen since then. He can maximize the performance of any car in any conditions. It’s truly remarkable what he did in 2012 with that awful Ferrari. Only Fernando could have taken the fight to the final race like he did. Look at Hamilton that year in what was the best car (but not dominant like today’s Mercs) from the start of the season to the end, Lewis could not match Fernando or Seb for that matter.

The best driver on the grid for quite some time and Ferrari have been giving him a Fiat to race in the last couple of years. Such a waste. Everyone has their favorite driver and I'm a Hamilton fan. No doubt each driver has their merits, but if anyone can say with a straight face that Vettel would've been champion 4 years running if Alonso was his teammate, I'd say that person needs their head examined.
Alonso should've won the driver's title in 2010 & 2012 if it wasn't for Ferrari not developing his car. Massa's performance during that period was more representative of where the Ferrari car stood in the pecking order.
Actually Ferrari developed the 2012 car a lot during the season. It started out as total dogshit, but in second part of season even Massa was occasionally very quick with it.

Kimi's lap in 2005 was better. As was Mika's lap in 1999, Trulli in 2004 and JPM in 2002 as well. Alonso always looks like he is clipping apexes perfectly, but actually he loses a lot of speed relative to other top drivers. He has poor mid corner speed.
It is known Alonso carries less speed through the apex and compensates with quick exits. He tends to prefer understeer and while it looks like he is picking the perfect lines, loses crucial mid apex speed in doing so. He has nowhere near the raw talent of a prime Michael or prime Kimi when on form. Sorry. Its called analyzing onboards and knowing racing. A great driver, but noob fans think way too highly of him.

Kimi's lap in 2005 was better. As was Mika's lap in 1999, Trulli in 2004 and JPM in 2002 as well. Alonso always looks like he is clipping apexes perfectly, but actually he loses a lot of speed relative to other top drivers. He has poor mid corner speed.

It is known Alonso carries less speed through the apex and compensates with quick exits. He tends to prefer understeer and while it looks like he is picking the perfect lines, loses crucial mid apex speed in doing so. He has nowhere near the raw talent of a prime Michael or prime Kimi when on form. Sorry. Its called analyzing onboards and knowing racing. A great driver, but noob fans think way too highly of him.

Stevolwo Unreliability issues maybe? I mean I am just being objective. Alonso is great at adapting, but many are faster than him when they have the car under them.
