It was like a video game, he stated that never in his career had he ever seen such a massive pace advantage between two teammates. There was a point in the first stint where Max was consistently 1.5 seconds a lap faster than Perez. I think on average he was 7 tenths quicker a lap but he managed at the end. I will always say that 22’ Spa was Verstappen’s signature race.

I saw a stream of one of his GT3 sim races (in a Ford GT40) poster saying how unbelievable it was him coming from 14th to 4th. He dive bombed 3 people. 1 guy backed out and flashed furiously. The other 2 ended in the wall. Then Lando Norris (who was spectating) . He said Max you are... must have been rude coz I'd not turned profanity filters off. The man is a driving god, but he's a dirty one too
The fact that Max backed out of the same move around the outside on the Aston Martin says you're full of it. If there is a gravel trap it's stupid to hang it around the outside.
It's rare to see an F1 car still accelerating after it's pulled out of the draft at nearly 340Km/h, normally they drop some speed straight away and also tend to run out of battery by then.
100% it's so weird because he was also fast in the corners iirc, interesting that you mention the battery. Now i'm wondering how much the battery degrades or i guess the battery capacity in particular. Because the checo overtake is fresh vs old PU, we'll never know the deployment of checo off course. But still you are right normally you clearly notice coming out of the draft and here it's like nothing. There is one other thing i can think of and that's a strong wind in your back. It doesn't look like it because the draft looks strong but maybe it isn't.

Red Bull still should have an advantage at Spa. If they have their setup together I still expect a 0.15~0.2 gap.
If they don't they are 10000000000% cooked because the mclaren is strong all around and if they make it just a tenth faster it's done for Max
Do you watch F1 on X or what? McLaren are the team to beat even Piastri said they except to be the fastest in Spa and seein how the upgrade of the RB worked and Checo bein closer to Verstappen in pace they can be behind Mercedes too. And remember W15 is gettin upgraded on Spa too.
