If we were gonna compare both at their peaks the Spartans can't compete in battle also in logistics The Sarissa/Macedonian Phalanx were better than their Greek counter parts the same formation that would lead Macedon to conquering the Greek Client States although Sparta was never conquered by Macedon but it was soundly defeated the only reason why Sparta was never conquered was simply because it be a waste of time, man power, and resources this was when Alexander was more keen in conquering Persia. Later on down the line the Sarissa was countered by the Roman maniple in short Spartan tactics are inferior to Roman tactics.

How come you have what looks like normal hoplites for the Spartans, and nothing but pratorians for the Romans? Royal Spartans vs the pratorians would be better
