Kinda doesn't speak well of Bellum Cinematics that it happened over and over. One of the last kills shown was a full impaling with a mace through armor no less.
Richard's crown was not on him upon his death, it had been lost during the mounted engagement. After the battle, Stanley had his men search for it, and it was duly found in a rose bush, and retrieved by a lance, as the men felt unworthy of handling it. Stanley himself placed the crown upon Tudor's head, who knelt in tears before him on a small hillock that subsequently became known as Crown Hill. This was done because none of these veterans of the lengthy dynastic Wars of the Roses wished to delay the matter with pomp, ceremony, and circumstance and risk the possible re-ignition of hostilities and civil unrest.
The battlefield, is about 12 miles from me, it's actually a good day out. The museum, and battle walk, really give a great sense of picturing the events as they happened on the day. I would recommend a visit.
Are you referring to the old tourist centre expanded by Leicestershire cc. I was not aware that the farmer, who owns the real battlefield had build anything. The Bosworth battle field tourist site, I understand was expanded even thou the site of the real battle was being challenged.
@@richardh615 The site is built off to the side of the actual believed battlefield. Part way round the walk you are looking over the fields that the battle took place on. So no, the centre isn't built on the battlefield itself, but you can see it from there.

You should do one of these on the battle of edge hill which was the first battle of the Wars of the Three kingdoms or better known as the English civil wars
7:30 Can someone explain to me why did Richard III order his men to abandon a better position on a highground of the hill? And also ordered them to countercharge even though an army thats standing their ground has a defensive advantage? Is that a mistake or this actually happened?
Just another calculated risk consistent with Richard’s aggressive personality and the equally aggressive conventions of warfare at the time (which were bold assertive maneuvers that seized the initiative and crippled enemy morale). Medieval warfare was often a show of force decided in a short period of time with quick decisive small victories. Richard had the initiative with his superior numbers of considerably higher quality. He needed to let the enemy know that and sending the countercharge reflected his desire to capitalize on the initiative.

Bosworth was not the last significant battle of the so-called Wars of the Roses. The last major battle was Stoke Field, about two years later (1487). The Earl of Lincoln and Viscount Lovell brought a force of Germans and Irish to England and recruited rebel English. In the end their force was not much smaller than Henry's at Bosworth. It’s not the people of Lancashire verse the people of Yorkshire. Henry Vll army was French. The Yorkists were mostly people from the midlands. Lancastrians and Yorkshire fought together.
Video looks good, but merely perpetuating myths set by victorians. Ambion Hill is not the setting of the battle. It has been sited on low ground below village of Dadlington, with Richard on the hill, Stanley south of village of Stoke Golding and Henry south west of these along the Fenn Lane. You've also omitted the artillery in use, evidenced by the historical finds on Fenn Lane farm.
