My strategy has always been make a wall of defense turrets around my base first, and then once I’m ready to attack I target the enemy’s Command Center first so they can’t spawn any builders to make new buildings.
this is my #1 game so much so that back in day when community maps were uploaded my friends and I spend 4 days building a cave map and became #1 map for 6 weeks, i consider it my magnus opus.

Man, this game was so amazing for the time. If there were a game just like this, but with less micro-managing required (I've been spoiled by 4X and Grand Strategy) I'd fall in love with it.
I love this game and play it myself. The only thing is once you get your defense down and destroy their first superweapon before it can launch, you've basically won the game. Even if they build additional super weapons

i always went with the radar on the strategycenter instead of the artillery, if i remember correctly your troops will not only see 20% farther but also shoot farther
@@Zelectrocutica Arty gives you a 20% damage buff which is nothing to sneeze at, But yeah 20% more range is way better. Especially with a map like that, you could kill half the stuff before it even gets into shooting range.

Used to play this back then. Always used gla cause everyone kept saying gla is weak. Made a lot of tunnels everywhere, put scud launchers in the tunnels, fire scuds then enter tunnel, go out a different tunnel, fire scud, enter tunnel, rinse and repeat. Hahaha fun times
I had no idea after all of these years that you could put troops in those fire bases like that. I just always surrounded them with the Patriot missile stations.
I remember crashing my computer bc I build up the ultimate defense and had like 200 overlord tanks as a 1st wave. Then when I started my initial attack started to pump battlemaster tanks from all my war factories. I was so mad when my 1 wave started to attack the GLA Defenses and my computer said nope and died.
I used to play c&c generals and remembers the map "twilight", 1v8 free for all brutal mode, and I use laser general. My goal is to capture each base before ai destroys each other, I prevent them in using nukes lol.
To see nearly 1 million views on this… I’m so happy I need a remaster or new command and conquer just like this!! I spent sooo many hours and nights as GLA AND CHINA the game was so good!!! Please someone bring this back
This dude gets me.. Air force general supremacy. Combat Chinook is the GOAT with 1 pathfinder and the rest was missile defenders, Combat Chinook is almost unstoppable.

There is a trick you can use with the Combat Chinook, which you might have already knew. Normally, it can only carry 8 infantries. If you want to increase fire power or Infantries amount, here is what you can do. Combat Chinook can carry 2 small vehicles with 2 infantries. Since Humvee is a small vehicle type and can carry 5 infantries (2 Humvees = 10 infantries + 2 extra infantries), then total will be 12 infantries, which is 4 extra infantries/fire power. But you must include 1 attack infantry (not inside Humvee or any vehicle) if you are going to use Combat Chinook with any attack small/medium vehicles. All possible Combat-Chinook + Attack-small/medium-vehicles combination (Except Humvee) can only strike to the ground. If you want to use long range with Combat Chinook, you can use together with Tomahawk or Inferno Cannon. But they can only strike to the ground, also must include 1 attack infantry. You can't strike directly to any target or buildings but you can strike to the ground adjacent to the targets. 2 Inferno-Cannons can create a firestorm by multiple strikes (more than once). I have tried and tested with various vehicles, only Humvee, Tomahawk, and Inferno Cannon are effective to be used in Combat Chinook.
It's nostalgia to watch it. I even played as well till recent time when my old laptop was alive😂. I suggest you try CONTRA 007 mod or later. Enenies more complicated there, and you need to fight earn general experience to unlock technologies and building.
Major nostalgia. The biggest problem with this game was the economy imbalance. The game would have been much better if all factions could make the same money late on. USA gets supply drops china gets hackers that can be killed by one napalm strike 😂
I grew up on this game, I can play alone on 7 cpu :D izi nice play more patriots and hamve with robots to start ;) it's easier to defend yourself and tomahoki with 2 because overlords long range :D

Love getting a swarm of Auroua air craft to destroy the command center, since the AI won't rebuild the command center. THen start to get rid of the resources afterwards. Since you can go dozer hunting or ruining things if they want to get money.
Do not build power stations next to each other, because if they are attacked, they will lose power. You can build each station in a place to avoid targeting them together. Have a great game every body 💪👏

Do you ever experience game crashes? Most maps always crash when we play more than 4 enemy coops, even on official maps. I have a fairly up-to-date system, too.
i use this app to reduce the lags : legi.cc/downloads/genpatcher/ but i have that issue too, and i think it happens when there are too many units in the game, because of that i usually avoid making troops, i use sw weapons to destroy 2-3 enemy bases then i start to grow my army to prevent the crash

Yes, arty is only 10% damage boost but radar give you something like 20-25% in range and LOS which is kinda busted.
