Just went there and ate sooo much asado and vori vori. Café de acá is amazing! Definitely recommend. The terere is sooo refreshing the actual pronunciation is (Teh day day)
I definitely appreciate your video. And looking forward to watching new ones. I am Turkish, but considering of moving to Paraguay for a cheaper life. It became so expensive here in Turkey.
Thank you! Paraguay is certainly less expensive than most other countries. Coincidentally, I am in Turkey, right now and will be staying here for a couple of months.
Nice video, and good information on dishes I could also make, given the opportunity. We owned and operated a restaurant for 8 years in South Africa, and after 6 years in Paraguay I long to cook again.
Watched your Vlore video as we are heading to Albania in a couple of weeks, then found this! We used to live in Paraguay 20 years ago and often ate at La Paraguayita! Thanks for the bringing back the memories!
I love these food videos and I can't imagine how fun they are to film! Also, I agree whole-heartedly with you that eggs make everything better. Thanks for another great video!
So nice of you to say! It's really cool searching for different dishes, especially those which have been a part of the culture for centuries! I always appreciate your support!
What a great video! Loved seeing all the amazing dishes of the area and the unique drinks too. It was like watching a true food adventure! Thanks for taking us along for the experience.
Thanks so much! There were a lot of dishes that I liked and even for those which I didn't like all that well, it was fun trying something new. You'll see more of these food videos in the future!
Great Video Richard, very interesting food alternatives, I would never thought of grapefruit and coffee, however in Mexico it used to be popular to serve espresso coffee with a slice of orange peel and that combination is indeed very tasty. Hope you are having a good time in Bolivia
I'm having a great time in Bolivia. There's so much to see and do. The grapefruit and espresso was a total (pleasant) surprise. I am glad that I took the chance to order it!
I have plans to visit paraguay. I live in Nicaragua and have traveled central America and South america. Can you recommend a monthly place in Asuncion to dip our feet. My wife is Nicaraguan. I am from united states
I think you will love Asunción! I stayed in an Airbnb. This is the link for that unit, but there are several others in the complex. No horchata. I never noticed it on a menu and didn't know enough to look for it. In a food video, I'm always going to miss something that I should try!
The vori vori from Paraguay 🇵🇾 is considered the number 1 soup in the world, the best in the world, by Taste Atlas
That is fantastic! I wasn't aware that was the case.
Thank you for letting me know!

@ Enjoy Turkie. If you will stop by Istanbul let me know.
cool
Thanks!
Mbejú with Maté cocido is the typical Paraguayan breakfast.
I tried Maté cocido too, but didn't put that in the video.I can definitely see how that and Mbejú would be a good combination!
wow! Looks amazing. Is it weird to say that something I am looking to most are their fruit drinks. I love me the freshest fruit.
It is not weird at all. The fruit and the drinks made from that fruit were among the highlights for me!
Thank you for the fantastic comment!

@@donnabeaman7135 horchata isn't a thing in Paraguay, I've seen it in Central American countries
i as just there last week the drink is terere pronounced teddaday
I wasn't sure if i got close to the correct pronunciation or not.
I appreciate you watching and leaving a comment!
bro where is the ASADO
I considered including asado, but ultimately I didn't get the opportunity.
Mbeju is eaten with mate cocido for breakfast or in winter. Same for sopa paraguaya, that’s why it’s dry. Without mate cocido it’s meh.
I suppose I didn't have the right combination! I did try cocido separately. I can see how that would make the Mbeju better!
What ? No BBQ asado ? ,,,, I'm a carnivore and I've seen other videos that had BBQ
Carne asado was on my list, but I never got the opportunity to try it.
@@oldaloneandfarfromhome Thanks, I’ll be in Paraguay soon , so I sure will . Thanks for the nice video
Marinera > Milanesa
Marinera is made with batter, and milanesa is done with breading. But they are quite similar.
