The cobblestone streets help to keep the neighborhood calm and quiet, and also as you say the temperature is quite high and the asphalt increases the heat so the cobblestone streets are used to keep cooler the neighborhood too.
I live south of Asunción. Near my house we have a hill called Lambarè, it is a place with a lot of nature and next to the Paraguay River there is also a new coastal avenue. Welcome to Paraguay.
You should try out Oveja Negra, Granel, Karu or La Herencia in Bo Las Mercedes 😋. For steaks La Cabrera...Btw if you fancy Asian food, Korean restaurants are pretty good over here, I'd highly recommend you Maru Restaurant 👌
Hey man, very nice video!!! I'm glad you liked the food. By the way, your Spanish sounds very good. Congratulations!!! I would recommend visiting "La cuadrita", it is a small gastronomic walk in Villa Morra with excellent restaurants for lunch and dinner. Food Park Villa Morra is another very interesting place, with a great variety of local and international food, and a super family atmosphere. The Food Park at Shopping Mariscal is also another very popular and nice place. Greetings!!!
For classic Paraguayan dishes and a great atmosphere, I can’t recommend Bolsi and Lido Bar enough. They are staples of the city center, and although they are a bit far from where you’re currently staying, they are totally worth it. Hope you’re enjoying your stay!
Yes they are for collecting rubbish bags. You put your rubbish bags in them and every night a truck comes and collects them in every street. They have that in Brazil too.
Hermano buen video el tereré es algo único en Paraguay mas en estos dias calurosos 🙏🏻🔥💯
I have been thinking of emigrating to Paraguay.
Nice video man! Yes the heat in Paraguay is A THING , for that you got the terere as your friend . Enjoy your stay!

I really like Villa Morra, one of the best neighborhood in Asunción. I liked the walking tour, I hope I visit that cafe soon!
Es rica la comida en Paraguay 😊
Great video man. Greetings from Ñemby.

Give a try to the mbeju and cocido.
The pajagua is a must and the pira caldo as well.
Good coffee house.

thanks man, yeah I'll check those places out, they are nearby
Yeah, tereré cold makes more sense on a hot day (it's always hot in Paraguay)

Lido Bar was the best restaurant I ate at during my time in Asunción. I recommend the chupín de surubí.
Se ve súper apetitoso!!!😊

I’m curious do you know what those metal baskets on poles in front of the houses are for?
Para colocar las bolsas de basura y ser recolectados por los camiones recolectores de basuras (residuos )

The sticks are fried cassava, that's why they seemed hard to you haha
ahh ok lool so that's what "mandioquitas frites" is haha now it makes sense
I don't know if you said the name of the cafe in the video, but could you tell me what it's called?
@@VfbfBdbd-us1je yeah I did it might not have been clear but it’s called El Café de Acá
Terere is a cold drink that we usually drink between 9 am and 11 am before lunch, in the afternoon between 4 pm and 6 pm for most people.
The toast most likely had honey, we don't use maple syrup here. And the chips are made from cassava, not potatoes, which is why they are not as soft.
@@silvanogonzalez2971 yes someone told me about the cassava fries yesterday haha
Paraguayan brunch con tostada francesa , creo que ni un paraguayo desayuna tostada francesa en casa 🤯
Esas no eran papas fritas, era mandioca frita. Un saludo.
@@NeryVillalba si, alguien me lo dijo ayer jaja
Thanks for sharing but we don’t need to watch you eat every bite.
then don't watch
