B20 motor restoration

Heres my first motor restoration video, i have done many motor restorations but this one i wanted to be unique so what i did was i chromed the valve cover and tried to clean out the motor as much as possible, and here you well see the outcome. my very first video of doing this.

Bro you didn’t ‘restore’ the engine you cleaned it and polished the valve cover,
In the process you also fucked the flanges and filled the cylinder head with metal shavings and metal polish, all the steel water pipes in the back of the engine will rust strait away

I think thats an early low compression honda crv motor. I have a 1998 honda crv and mine came stock with the b20b4 with a p71 head. Same exact motor. Cool to see how pretty all the polishing work can make the motor look.

i like the polished valve cover never saw that before but yeah man you gotta take this thing apart all the way, or tape some stuff off… something needs done lol there’s probably water in the crankcase now

In whole cleaning/wire wheel/polishing never tapes off dip stick hole,intake and exhaust ports to protect debris from getting into engine. Lame

It took me awhile to find this video. About to attempt the same thing with my B18. Good job. Do you have any plans to continue working on this engine? Im wondering how to get in tight on the areas around the lettering on the valve cover.

Dark Ra well we already installed it on a ek hatch while back, just no video, and to get around tight places I'd prefer a lot of sanding by hand, that's why it takes so long sometimes, you need to be able to sand in very tight places

Ali dont rust , it just corrodes. My engine has 140k miles so i cant justafiy spending that much time polishing
