Please refrain from calling this a restoration he has made a poor attempt to hide the issues and ripped off the next person to own the car these people deserve nothing less than bullets
It’s just another way filling up rusted parts in Japan. They have separate soldering iron specifically for this purpose. Since I had no proper other way to fix the rusted parts, I used this method. I wish if I had proper tools and also the knowledge. But I did it with what I had.
Lead loading predates modern filler, if you look at most older build hot rods and vintage or veteran restorations it is the way it was done, and unlike modern filler it doesn’t tend to rust up around it! Fair play a nice job done without a huge budget!!
@@KryPtoJDM yo what method is this since I have rust in the same place as you on the hatch I’d like to do the same. And what did you do to accomplish this
Actually the proper way to do it. Bondo should only be used for the small imperfections. It’s an alien concept to people of today I guess. I only knew about it from reading forums on hotrod builds when I chopped the roof on my 31 coupe.
I blindly clicked on this video, not knowing where it was filmed. As soon as I saw the gloves the mechanics were wearing I was like "Oh that's definitely Japan!" xD

Was that oil pan at an acceptable angle to drain completely? Usually recommended to be flat or slight slant towards drain hole, not a 45 degree incline lol.
idk why everyone is so upset about adam buying this lol, the only issue i found was that they have mix-matched wheels, fake and real watanabes. other than that you guys did a really good job🤠

this isn't a proper restoration but a cheap and quick "fix". those A pillars are gong to turn into rust holes again pretty soon. it's really not that hard to cut away the rotted metal and fill it with a properly shaped piece...

That soldering patch work blew my mind, never seen that done before. Great way to use the resources around you
The rust is going to eat through all that still
Leading was an old body filler method. You see it in old school hot rods. However, that hatch needed structural repairs.
yeah, but how strong is that solder? looked like it needs new sheet metal, not soldering
