@@spookywidetrap2884Pretty sure they’re referencing the start of your journeys. The player character being an Ashen One and Gael being a Slave Knight. Yes by the end of time you are the two most powerful beings left but that makes your humble beginnings all the more pronounced.
Fun fact, for a majority of DS3 and maybe Sekiro (I can’t exactly remember). Any solo female vocalist you hear in the themes is actually the main composer Yuka Kitamura herself! She has a very recognizable voice once you know what to listen for
Probably the best boss ever made in gaming, and it says a lot that this is not a particularly controversial opinion in the slightest. He’s perfection as far as boss fights go.
I can’t put into words the sheer adrenaline when fighting him with this OST blasting. Simply shows why fromsoft and their boss OSTs are untouchable compared to other games. The most beautiful nightmare.
@@Gojo_the_honored_rat Well the world is already completely cooked, and even though you win and create a new world, you're still leaving the old one an ashen wasteland where nothing will ever happen again The two nobodies thing is a corny statement but it's not completely unfounded
@@Gojo_the_honored_rat no it doesn't, Gael's arena is the way the world will end up either way, no matter what either pf you do. The painted world would only be a temporary thing before needing to be burned away like Ariendel.
In DS3, Gael's theme and the Soul of Cinder are probably the best pieces, closely followed by Twin Pinces and Abyss Watchers. As for a very unique song (among other souls bangers) Dancer of the Boreal Valley is really something else.
I love that the end of the track finally dies down and the strings come in being simultaneously triumphant and incredibly sad. almost as if to say “this masterpiece of a trilogy is near its end”
My recommendations for what to listen to next in the DS3 vein are Sister Friede and Father Ariendel, and Soul of Cinder, and for a reason. Not only are they both incredible tracks musically that showcase *both* the bombastic and the subdued sides of From's musical ouvre (not all Gael but not all Elden Beast either) and use both styles, and the interplay between them, to great effect (and are a little easier on the ears for it), but they also occupy similar positions within their respective sections of the game, with Friede/Ariendel being the final boss of the first DLC, and Soul of Cinder being the final boss of the base game, to match up with Gael being the final boss of the 2nd DLC. May as well finish out the circuit and get a good comparison of the different tones they went for for the "final challenge" at different stages of the game's development and release cycle, I think it resonates nicely.
Hot take: I feel this track overstays it's welcome. It definitely has stellar sections. And then they keep going without feeling like it's going anywhere. But that may well be the point given the context.
Fromsoft cooking the awesome fight and the banger theme to cap off one of the best game trilogies out there. Hats off, seriously. (PS. Am I the only one that beat Gael and just sat there sad for a few minutes cause I knew it was over?)
Just to be clear: they never managed to make a better boss than Slave Knight Gael. They’ve put so much passion into designing a deserving finale for the Dark Souls trilogy it’s absolutely insane. Elden Ring is such a great game it made them so much money they even raised the salary for all of their employees… but it still didn’t reach the highs this fight offers.
I would say there are a couple of candidates for bosses that are possibly better than gael but I definitely agree he's up there, probably depends on personal preference
people give that boss crap but i actually thought it was pretty fun. and the wolf sprinting around at the speed of light with the violins in the background is peak
I enjoy people reacting to these boss fight sound tracks, BUT I think it should be a requirement that you get to these bosses and fight them to the music, that puts so much more feeling in these tracks. Just saying, should be a requirement 😝 gives it more... Meat!
I've gotten into Stellar Blade recently and they have some killer tracks. 2 songs in specific are Demoncrawler and Elder Naytiba. Both so songs are so powerful. Love the content dude, always a great watch. Keep up the good content!! 👍
I'm pretty sure the main vocalist is Yuka Kitamura (the composer) herself, she also sang in the main menu for ds3
Yee she is
Like queen
She sang all the songs that have female voices in DS3.
Aka the greatest theme song in any video games ever existed
Hand it over, that thing, your reaction. For my enjoyment
13:50 i love this part because even the choir sounds fed up now with Gael staying alive
This is my favorite DS3 fight, just 2 dudes at the end of time fighting with big ass swords.
What if you are using a bonketh' stick?
Not just 2 dudes. Specifically 2 nobodies of no renown whatsoever.
@FerunaLutelou you aren't two nobodies. You're literally the two most powerful beings in the world

The best way to describe this fight is:
Two nobodies fighting over nothing in the middle or nowhere with no one left to witness it.
It’s not really over nothing but more like a long forgotten thing
The fight determines the fate of an entire world. How is that fighting over nothing?

@@theonlyMoancore you kill gael to get the blood of the dark soul for the painter to paint a world that will never rot.
You should react to Twin Princes, Soul of Cinder and Abyss Watchers from DS3 next🙏🙏
YES TWIN PRINCES NEXT PLEASE
Twin princes is so good
By the 15:21 mark you did like Gael himself and entered in third phase aswell, I mean the sound you did reminds him doing that haha
What? Still here? Hand it over, that thing. . . Your reaction video. . . For my enjoyment.
The bossfight is just as amazing as the song! They're both spectacles!

You should listen to Father Ariandel and Sister Friede''s ost next, it's related to Gael's ost.
when Gael stops holding back and the real fight begins....it will be a thing that i hold dear forever
Bro this is legit my favorite track in DS3
2nd fav track in every souls game lol
Cant decide between this track, Darkeater Midir ost, and main menu/theme ost. All great tracks.
Hand it over, that thing, your Dark Soul...
I love that the end of the track finally dies down and the strings come in being simultaneously triumphant and incredibly sad. almost as if to say “this masterpiece of a trilogy is near its end”
You have to check out Darkeater Midir, Twin Princes and Soul of Cinder after listening to Gwyn’s theme from the first game

Great reaction to one of the best theme songs in the trilogy. Absolute goosebumps every time i listen to it. Mastefully done theme
Yess! Been waiting for this

Yeah I do feel like that’s what the track is supposed to feel like, given the fact that you are fighting Gael
TWIN PRINCES, SOUL OF CINDER, VORDT AMAZING, (edit) pontif sulyivan is also amazing.

Great video, you should react to champion gravetender from Dark souls 3 this is for me the most underatted song of the game, GREETINGS FROM FRANCE
If you're still going to do ds3 i suggest darkeater midir the 4 minutes version the longer ones are unofficial and just loops back two times
i really hate when people pause music and start discussing it before listening the whole piece first
Please react to Starscourge Radahn!
Darkeater Midir is a must next

While sure they haven't managed to top this fight so far, that doesn'team fights that followed were bad or low effort.
LISTEN TO CHAMPION'S GRAVETENDER PLZ THE BEST DS3 OST
