4:37 The soprano soloist throughout the song is actually the composer, Yuka Kitamura, herself. If I’m not mistaken she can also play a number of other instruments. She is my favorite FromSoftware composer Also, you might like Living Failures from the Bloodborne DLC. It’s one of my favorite OSTs from that game
Twin Princes from DS3 is one of my top 3 Soulsborne OSTs. I hope that someday you’ll listen to that one too. It’s phenomenal. The best thing about Dark Souls III (and arguably the best soundtrack out of all the games) is that most of the time you hear a lonely female voice it’s the actual composer, Yuka Kitamura, herself.
How i reacted the first time hearing it? Oh, i cried my beady little eyes out. At least when i finally listened to it by itself for once, really concentrating on it. Ive played DS3 so much, 1,3k hours, and to my shame, never really spend enough time in the main menu to appreciate it enough. Same with many other tracks, all the boss themes where you try to survive more then anything, i and many others sadly cant really concentrate on the music. Luckily we dont have to and can just listen to them whenever we want. Best DS3 tracks for me have to be Abyss Watchers, Twin Princes, Soul of Cinder, Sister Friede, Champions Gravetender, Darkeater Midir, Slave Knight Gael which is by far at the top, and then the most underrated track ive never hear anyone talk about ever, Dragonslayer Armor.
Listen to "Slave Knight Gael" from dark souls 3. 8 minute long boss track, final boss of the series. It's just you and an old man for a duel of fates. One of the best tracks of souls games. Lorian, soul of cinder are also 10/10
some other amazing picks from dark souls 1-3 are Knight artorias and gwyn lord of cinder (ds1), sir alonne (ds2), slave knight gael, sister friede, soul of cinder and twin princes (all ds3)
Dark Souls 3 has a lot of heavy hitters in terms of music, especially any song composed by Yuki Kitamura. You'll probably see a lot of people recommend the song 'Slave Knight Gael', which is an absolutely amazing track, so I'd be excited for that. though, if you'd like to build up to that, there are plenty of amazing songs from this game that you give a listen to first. Slave Knight Gael is VERY climactic, either way though, Dark souls 3 has some great tracks.
Since you begin with main theme . You should definitely listen to Slave Knight Gael . The best DS3 Soundtrack and Boss fight hands down! I believe also the composer itself did the vocal part in that track 😅
i don't want to hear anyone be like "ooo it's the best menu theme" of course it is, it's literally the original cut final boss theme for pontiff when he was the end boss during devolpment repurposed as the menu lmfao of course it's gonna be incredible
Slave Khight Gael from Dark Souls 3 next please!
Up🗣️
He did it!
This OST always make my eyes soaking for some strange reason 😢 so beautiful.
Same
It's such an emotional trip and it foreshadows how you're going to feel later in the game

I've heard this song described as a "requiem," and I couldn't agree more. It's a requiem for a dying world, the one you play through
The Maintheme is a Masterpiece as well as "Abysswatchers", "Pontiff Sulyvahn" and all DLC-Tracks
Pontiff OST goes hard🔥
Great reaction / analysis, chief!
As much as I love all Fromsoft soundtracks, you can NOT beat the DS3 Main theme. It's just too good.

also the main the singer is yuka herself who's the composer
When I heard this for the first time, I was literally glued to my chair. All I could do was wait for the end of this INCREDIBLE theme

One of the best music pieces I've ever heard !
You've listened to the main theme so its time for Slave Knight Gael
I think this is the best ost Fromsoft has ever created. Such a masterpiece.
Same
Slave Knight Gael from DS3. Gwyn, Lord of Cinder from DS1.

I'm surprised that this awesome main theme is only used in the main menu
GOAT title theme.
