In today's video, Kirby Allison and Eddie Sahakian of Davidoff Cigars talk about the different cigar brands of the world and how to choose the right cigar for you. With the number of options to choose from, it can be difficult to find the perfect smoke. Learning about the different brands, their history and what to look for, Eddie gives us his tips to get great pleasure out of your experience.
One of Kirby's favorite stops to make in London is the one to visit Eddie Sahakian of Davidoff Cigars. Davidoff is a Swiss premium brand of cigars, cigarettes and smoker’s accessories. It is owned by Oettinger Davidoff AG, which is based in Basel, Switzerland. - Навчання та стиль
this man can undo years of anti smoking adds just by speaking eloquently and by acting like a gentleman.
Great video with a wealth of knowledge ! 👌🏽
Is that really you billy??
@Mr Awesome You realize Freud died from Oral cancer, right?
@Mr Awesome what you say is WRRRRRRONG. You really must be stupid.
@Mr Awesome I was not the one who says it doesn't hurt anybody. Trying to shift the burden of proof shows that you don't know how logic works.
13:50 “please return it. We will replace it for you.. not your fault, its a nature product” now thats a gentleman/businessman. Mad respect. 🥃 cheers
Thats just british thing, they are used to customers kicking off at any blemish 🤣
@@krzysiekv12 Its not British thing, i heard it from many tabaconists in their adds , i think it`s making difference between "just tabacco seller" and home of "high quality handmade cigars". Cigars are about time, quality, pleasure and respect.

@@-__-4186 Agreed. I don't know the nationality of the original poster but I rather think when it comes to the "get me your manager" culture, Americans seem to lead in that category.
This guy is the epitome of cigar class and representation. If I had a cigar company or a brand, I would want Eddie's way of being to be marketed. He is classy, well spoken, and has unparalleled understanding of the product and his customers. Bravo!

They r billionaire 😂
You could charge twice the price just by having this guy as your spokesman
I have no idea who these guys are, but they dress so well and speak so eloquently I have no other choice but to give them respect and my attention. thats what caring about how your appearance looks to others does for you.
And thats something people should be self aware of - how wrongly people can be treated because of their looks.
You talk like the judgemental part in our society is something positive. There are greater things to care about others.
Dandy.

I wore a suit to church once amd everyone treated me like a king suddenly. Wearing a suit gives you special privileges. Why not take advantage?
Eddie Sahakian is so well spoken! Thank you for this very enjoyable video, Kirby.
excellent voice and diction
It's a pleasure to hear this man speak. Hes got a great voice and encyclopedic knowledge of his product.
I can hear him talk about anything for hours. He's got a very ASMR like quality to him.
For an Armenian!
Ouch
I dont smoke and know absolutely nothing about cigars however I found this video very informative and very interesting .
i became a gentleman just by watching this
Kirby’s interviewing skills are severely underrated! Always opening up conversations and letting Eddie speak his wisdom still keeping it moving along
I've got a great story for you, Kirby. A few years ago, I went on a cruise. I am a female, who enjoys a decent cigar once in a while. On the cruise ship, I noted the location of the ship's library so I could check it out. One evening, I was not particularly appropriately dressed for it, but I went to the library. Dark burl wood, loads of books, of course, leather sofa, Persian rugs, the whole 9. There were a few gentlemen and a couple of ladies who were indulging in some very nice cigars. I purchased a $17 cigar, and sat talking with them about any and everything. I'm from a poor family, and I'm still pretty poor, but this cruise was paid for by a good friend. I was in awe at how comfortable I was, sitting and chatting with more "well-to-do" people than I was accustomed to. I believe I was born in the wrong period of time, and in the wrong geographical location. Thank you for this video, Mr. Allison! Brought back fond memories, to say the least.
Angela, that is a lovely story,i am glad you had such a pleasurable experience.
You’re intelligent, that’s all that matters. Best wishes to you and your family, may 2020 be the greatest year of your life’s. 🦅

Look at the selection of umbrellas!
MrSottobanco My attention went to those umbrellas as well :)
It’s called a Brolly, good sir😆
It's London!
That must be a very expensive umbrella with tobacco scent
You can’t smoke them !
Many years ago, as a premium cigar smoker then/and now, I spent a week in London seeing the sights. But, I also made a point of visiting many of the top tobacconists including Davidoff, Robert Graham, James J Fox (the choice shop of Churchill, and also having another location in Harrods). All were fantastic, particularly visiting from the US and the ability to obtain unlimited Cuban's, or as 'unlimited' as your wallet allows for $30+++ dollar cigars! To be sure, as this video shows, Davidoff's was the premiere shop. A must see while in London as a cigar lovers 'mecca'.
I have…zero interest in cigars. And yet I’ve just listened to Eddie talking about them for 30 minutes straight! It’s testimony to his charisma and passion.
It's not often that I can just watch a 30 min+ video on UA-cam and be completely engrossed, good job, Kirby.
I'd say good job to the sales guy from Davidoff, its because of him I was stuck so long...kirby was just asking questions...
That was relaxing, he has a very calming voice.
It was actually Eddie Sahakian himself who "educated" me on the "Hoyo de Monterrey Epicure No.2" ... this wonderful cigar has a place in my humidor since that day. What a GENTLEMAN he is. I enjoyed this video very much.
These sit-downs are great interviews, It is exactly how a gentleman should do it, I enjoy them tremendously. I am going to run 2 or three together with a few friends share some cigars and a nice drink and just discuss what you present us. Please keep the videos coming.
The man from Davidoff is so smooth in talking, I could be convinced that a pack of $1k cigars would be totally worth it....man this is awesome!
I'm new to this channel and I just love it. The themes are fascinating to me: - approachable male-elegance, self-expressed quality of life, and the art of refined personal projection without being heavy-handed. By focusing on things like fine cigars, centuries-old well established classic restaurants, and world-renowned hand-crafted suits and shoes (among other things); your individual segments and interviews are both informative and inspiring. The "Kirby Allison" channel definitely lays some new and needed cornerstones for a reinvented interest and respect in masculine culture and good-taste. I can't wait to watch more.
I can listen to this man all day.
Eddie is a class act , pure gentleman, very enjoyable to listen to , really learn from him , thank you for the experience, cheers from Ireland
slainte!
I'm so happy and honored to see a video that talks about Davidoff cigars made here in the Dominican Republic 🇩🇴
A wonderful wonderful video. I am inspired! I want one day to be able to speak on a subject as this man does. He held my attention for 30 mins in a subject I care little for. His passion and enjoyment comes through, amazing!
In a day and age where being proper and eloquent is less prominent these men are two of the finest examples of it
My ratchet ass in here watching these high class folk with a smile on my face. I wish I was a gentleman.
Wearing a suit and smoking a cigar doesn't make you a gentleman
You're on your way
Anybody can be a gentleman. It doesn't require money or high class. Its an attitude to adopt and uphold all day every day, you could already be a gentleman yourself without even knowing it.
1st rule of being a gentlman;never grab a cigar at a lounge/store and bring it up to your nose unless you know that's the one you'll smoke. Quite off putting seeing someone bring it up to their nose, smell it, and put it back on the shelf. There's no class in that.
disco_potato agreed, it’s akin to taking a sip of fine wine or scotch directly from the spout of the bottle in front of the seller. I can only hope this chap purchased the cigars he molested.
I was born in Nicaragua living in the US, I remember my dad taking us to a place that made cigars in Estelí where the majority of tobacco come from. I never got into smoking but my day still loves his Flor de Caña rum and his cigars.
Btw I love that Nicaraguan cigars are mentioned with other great ones.
I don’t smoke cigars and hate their smell but could listen to Eddie speak about them forever, he’s a true gentleman and and expert in his field.
Same
Such a calm, serene, gentlemanly vid.
Love it.
MANNN!!! I could listen to these guys all day.. Kirb an E. its like Mac&Cheez.
Just listening to Eddie speak is a pleasure in itself . Erudite and thoughtful .
What a pleasure, I could listen to Eddie speak for days. I have learnt so much/reminded of what I already know, but do not think of everyday. Good selection of cigars...fortunate to have had all of these, my favourite Bolivar (for strength), Partagas (for a nice easy smoke and Hoyo De Monteri (for its spicy overtones). Of course, nothing tops a cohiba for too many reasons to mention. Nice conversation.
Mr Kirby,
You have been doing a great job, may God bless you and success is all I wish for and the people who works with you.
This is one of my favourite episode about cigars with two Real gentlemen. 🙋♂️🇬🇧🇬🇧🇬🇧🙋♂️
The English man's voice is so mellow l would love to have him narrate my life
Dude just found about this channel today it is so relaxing and love the way y'all talk🙏🏽
Just being totally honest, I almost can’t stand to listen to anyone else talk about, review etc. cigars after discovering Eddie on UA-cam. Possibly the most well spoken, informed and gentlemanly cigar persona I’ve ever seen. Don’t know how anyone could ever do it better.
Superb video, Kirby, one of your best to date: the combination of your well- prepared, pertinent questions and Eddie’s charm and expertise works very well. I agree with those on here who are telling the health police to push off and mind their own business. I and my wife are very health conscious, eat carefully and go to the gym, but one of our greatest shared pleasures is for my wife and I to sit down and each smoke an occasional double corona in the summer months (we don’t get a lot of hot days here in England). Our favourites are Hoyo de Monterrey Epicure No. 2 and their double coronas and Cohiba Lanceros. I hope you will do a future video with Eddie about how to store cigars.
Nothing like the floral notes of a good cuban! Love these videos.
ill never smoke cigs but i can 100% get behind smoking a cigar thanks for the information can't wait to find a favorite I can enjoy with friends

Excellent observation.
That's hilarious, as if saying shoo peasant, this is not for you.
I do not believe it was intentional

Haha nicely spotted fayekhelmi!
Very nice. Enjoyed the interview and could listen to our friends across the water all day.
When you go to that store
"Good evening sir, what can i do for you?"
Me : "Im looking for umbrellas"
"This way sir"
"GET OUT...this is a cigar shop fool, those umbrella's belong to all the gentlemen smoking cigars downstairs"
As a punk-rockin, backyard-smoking, always looking for a good bundle cigar in between good premium smokes. I feel they wouldn't judge me as a person. They seem humble beyond measurable standards.
Same. I get some no label bundles from my local shop for fuckin about in the yard or whatever.
He's been holding those cigars during the whole video, in the same position, and you never notice it. It's kinda cool.
This gentleman has a tremendous knowledge of cigars. It's pretty impressive.
What a fantastic channel, I've learned so much since subscribing. Cheers Kirby
Excellent interview. Pure class !
a true gentleman of the highest regard
Met Mr.Davidoff on the ship... nice guy.. gave me some of his cigars!
Looks like a great place to fully enjoy a cigar.
Thank you nice to see and hear gentlemen. Well dressed, well spoken and articulate all make for a great interview.
Absolutely fascinating! Thoroughly enjoyed
muy bueno el programa, usted si que enseña a vivir, Señor Allison usted es un genio.
One of the best videos. Greetings from Greece!
Fascinating conversation. I really enjoyed this!
Thank you gentlemen, very informative. To me, it was like reading the menu of an amazingly tasty and vastly stocked restaurant.
I could listen to this guy talk for hours.
Discovered the Winston Churchill line of cigars thanks to Davidoff, wow my absolute favorites ever!
Love the way Eddie sahakian speaks of cigars.
I remember his dad used to sell cigars at this shop. Basically, an Iranian family that migrated to the UK! A great contribution to the social scene in London, and I really enjoyed watching this VLOG.
Thanks!

GREAT Informative Video!
Ein fantastischer Kanal hier. Bin sehr froh ihn gefunden zu haben. Vielen Dank für deine tolle Arbeit. Liebe Grüße aus Deutschland 😎🥃
What a wonderful video Kourtney, i am certainly interested in partaking in this delightful and elegant hobby. It’s quite the tasteful experience.
Eddie is the best. Love stopping in when I’m in London and chatting with him over a smoke
That has definitely happened
Wow 4 years ago I love how they maintained and nourish their relationship
What a thorough gentleman
Eddie is amazing!
Wonderful video. Felt like 5 minutes, but truly a 30 minute video! Time flies....
Great video Kirby. Very informative.
Funny to see this 5 years late. It seems like Eddy and Kirby are some of the bestest friends.
I enjoy a good cigar on an almost daily basis but still concider myself a "novice smoker". However I do research most of my hobbies. I was still surprised however to know that I recognized many of the brands he mentioned at the beginning.
I’m not a cigar smoker but I still love watching this videos.
It be cooler if you did mate. Believe me I wasn't either but there's a sense of peace towards this.
I love how theyre father and son and talking like friends
Eddie could read the phone book and it would sound interesting.
I visited Davidoff and bought 20 Partaga quite a modest sized cigar and of little importance to the fortunes of such an august company.I asked the salesman to clip the ends for me as I didn`t own a clipper. Not onkly did he clip them but packaged them for me in Davidoff sleeves of five. That shooting season I proudly smoked them during my days, discovering that if I returned them to their tubes whilst still lit and screwed the top on they simply went out and when relit were just fine. They lasted me the entire shooting season and when next year I returned to buy some more as autumn approached the salesman recognised me and treated me with extreme courtesy.A wonderful London institution.
I’m a new cigar smoker and I started with Hoyo de Monterrey, a very good cigar,
I love relaxing to Eddie's videos with a nice bourbon and cigar
Interesting conversation by gentlemen of distinction.
A very good interview. Well done. I've watched the quality of Habanos slide dramatically over the past 20 years. The final push over the cliff for me was buying a box of Montecristo #2's at the Habanos store at Heathrow and having 25% of them plugged. I also bought a box of Behike 56's and while excellent, they weren't as good as the 1996 Robustos I have been aging in my humidor. Now I'll only buy old cubans, but my go to is the Micallef Reserva limitada privada. Never had one that wasn't perfect.
I was a big Cuban advocate for a long time till I tried Padron!
Couldn't agree more.
Cubans of today are not even close to New World cigars.
Great conversation.
Love the info and to see an american take interest in such a complicated culture of taste values history...great...😊
I am not sure if I should be happy or angered, but these videos inspired me to soak the puck in my lucite Lino humidor. Oh boy, just what I need. It had a couple of old Cuban cigars in it... a Habana and a Montecristo.
Best. Advert. Ever.
Thanks Kirby. Really enjoyed this informative interview. Excellent Questions :D Like my Cigars.
Another great video. Love your discussions with Eddie. Very fascinating. Would like to see you make similar content with a Swiss watch expert. Or perhaps master or wine? I'd even like to see you review some fine restaurants. Keep making them and I'll keep watching...
Love these videos, makes one want to act more gentlemanly and of course smoke cigars
This cigar will be a great addition to my navy suit for war
I need to visit. Lovely!
Very helpful. Thanks. Paul
Great video! Thanks!
the way he speaks, if he was my teacher I might have learnt more.
EXCELLENT PRESENTATION.
Kirby, I’ve been watching your videos for years. You are personally responsible for my closet filed with Allen Edmonds shoes and boots, each pair f which I love. However, I must say that the videos with Eddie are absolutely wonderful. The relationship and camaraderie you share is a genuine pleasure to watch. Thank you for sharing that special relationship, my friend. Now, how to get my hands on some Cohibas. Let me see, I’m actually about 135 miles due north of Havana in SW FLA. Swim? Jet Ski?
well done and very informative
A joy to watch💚💚👍👍
