- Hi everyone, thanks for tuning in today!
Today I am going to do a furniture fix and makeover on this piece! I am going to show you how you can cost effectively fix a piece of furniture - I mean who wants to put out more money? Lets make the maximum instead by fixing instead of replacing.
This piece had the outdated scalloped base that I didn't like and damaged.
I'm painting with the color Ivory Coast by Lilly Moon Paint and I do have a discount code with them, linked below!

They look SO much better!! 😍🙌🎉
I have missed your videos. So glad you are back.
Thank you! 😀
That turned out beautifully!! Thank you so much for sharing this!!
Thank you so much!😀
I subscribed to your channel because you are an excellent professional explaining. I feel like you’re a student. Thank you!! But I need you to make a video painting a fabric or faux leather sofa, please. Waited For You ❤
@@Mariam_Rodriguez hi and thank you! I don’t do upholstery 😀 - I tried once and it was an epic fail - crunchy and didn’t like the look - I have seen it done and it looks good but not my thing 😂
Gorgeous piece! Did I miss some of it though? You went from spraying your favorite primer to painting it then voila! The piece was finished!
What paint was used (color and brand)? Did you spray it on and if yes, can a gal like me who doesn’t own a sprayer use a brush method instead of spraying? If yes on that, what brush do you recommend? And last but not least, how did you finish the top (with what product, etc). The piece itself is exquisite and you and your videos are always a pleasure to watch. Looking forward to your reply if you have a moment. Oh how I wish I lived near you if you taught classes. Your work is second to none.
Thank you! No you didn’t miss anything. This video was to showcase the repair not the paint process - so there was just a quick segment showing me applying the primer and then there is a segment showing me spray the paint. The painting part was not a focus on this video. I did spray it on (quick segment showing me with the spray gun) 😀 you can absolutely brush and I have many recs for brushes (zibra, staalmeester and cling on brushes are my favs). I also always list out what was used with links too in the show notes/description. Everything is listed there from the paint color to the stains used too. 😀 thank you so much for watching and the nice comments.
What kind of sander are you using that’s hooked up to a vacuum hose? Thank you 😊
Hi! That is my festool ETS-EC 125 orbital sander connected to my festool hepa dust extractor/vac system - love them!

I'm painting with Sherwin williams paint on a slick surface what is a good bonding agent i can use for the paint not to come off? Thxs
@@reneesimmons2341 you want to clean well with a degreaser/deglosser (krud kutter), scuff sand and then if you feel like you need it - you can use a bonding primer
Cheap fix for a cheap piece of poorly constructed furniture.
You do realize that most pieces are not made of 100% solid wood through and through. This is a Bassett brand piece (which is a good brand) - but most pieces have some wood veneer and particle board in certain areas of the furniture unfortunately
