my kenwood jvc keep showing blue screen and Parking off. and the handbrake is on. i also make sure the photos format is jpek 800x480 size still the pic doesent wants to show on screen, can it be maybe my flash disc? or what else can it be??
You said that you must use a dedicated usb stick with no music on it to work..this i found is not true. I put 10 jpeg wallpapers on my music usb into a folder called wallpapers. At first that ffolder was greyed out and unselectable on the head unit. Then next to play button there is a button to change from music to photo. I selected photo and the wallpaper folder came alive and i was able to view and select all pictures. So just make sure you select photo setting.
Hmm, well it doesn't seem to work on a Sony XAV-AX5000. Actually looking specifically at this exact unit on Sony's website that question is asked in a forum and no you cannot change the background to anything other than the included options. So it doesn't work on just any unit. I got a couple of different responses. Both the same, regardless if I used USB1 or USB2. Either file not supported or no playable data. I've tried FAT32 and exFAT, also formatting photos in JPG. Neither having any success. I'm going to look elsewhere.
Does any GB size USB drive work or is there a limitation? Does the USB drive have to be in a specific format (i.e. FAT32)? My unit does not recognize any of USB drives I connected via the USB cable. Is there a specific image size that should be used? Thanks!
@@Qualitymobilevideo yes it is jpeg but it still wont show the picture its just black screen and when i press the black part it says something like "watching videos while driving is prohibidet"
Unfortunately this is a pretty old video and that stereo has been discontinued. This is probably the most similar available item: www.qualitymobilevideo.com/avh-600ex.html

On newer units like for example AVH2400NEX you actually have to go to usb from screen and then view and save pic to the unit... Here is link ua-cam.com/video/ObpKXwrN8us/v-deo.html

Straight to the point without sounding like an AI 👌. Nicely done exactly what the title and thumbnail suggest 👍 🙌

I am so doing this on my 91 Plymouth Sundance "Ricer" build. Danger to the manifold screen going to set it off perfect.

Yea those Sony XAV models don't allow JPEG uploading
I have an XO Vision 6.2 inch touchscreen. Can I do this aswell? I have jpegs on my flashdrive already.
Does this work if I try and use a JPG file?
Yes, that is the a JPEG.

Does this work on a boss audio?
Can this be done the same way with a pioneer 2550 nex?
Can you add custom ANIMATED background pictures and save them to be your wallpaper?
No just JPEGS
no that's only in fake CGI fast and furious films.
or buy an android based head unit.
Awesome!!! Thank you I’m going to do this on my Knight Rider KITT car!
does it work on any car?
What adapter do you need?
will this work in avh-5500bhs ?
from what I understand these Pioneer photos have to be a certain format is that true
+donald lewis JPEG
Can it work on AVH-290BT? Can't find an answer anywhere. Thanks
Nope!
do you need to write .jpeg or does it matter because my picture doesnt load at all plz help
It has to be an actual JPEG file
For example, you can't just change the details of the file from ".png" to ".jpeg" and it's automatically a JPEG file.

I have a picture saved as a jpg but it won’t let me put it as my background. How Can I fix this?
What kind of flash drive are you using? What size?
if that download icon option is not there then it means your stereo doesn't have that option to choose custom wallpapers
just called pioneer the guy said there is no update i have to send unit back

Will this work for an Advent Advuni300?
I know you can open images and view them on the radio, my guess is that you can save them to the radio but I'm not 100%
On newer units like for example AVH2400NEX you actually have to go to usb from screen and then view and save pic to the unit... Here is link
