I have a bosch 9.6-2 drill . it has 9.6v and 1500 Mah . Can I follow the same guide ? what individual cell voltage size should I go with ?

Just take 4 instead of 6 lithium batteries. That way you will only reach ~8-9V instead of 12.6V
