Hal is right, its good he didnt leave that game.
Gen did also good, he was first one who it happened to and he left the game. Then it played out normally just without him. Which is not a solution, Apex devs didnt do anything, they didnt step in. So its good Hal brought a different aprouch. They were forced to end the match and EVERYONE noticed what is going on.
If Hal did leave, how many more players would the hacked? how many more games would they play under unfair conditions? Nah, both boys did very well.

Gen was scared because his shit got hacked and things are just happening by themselves, if it happened to someone else they would be panicking too.
And hal is even more right in a sense because everyone knows this man is not a fucking cheater. If he got cheats injected to his PC and respawn/EA doesn't do anything it's on them not him. He said it himself, the players are just doing their thing and it is painfully obvious it's not their fault.

What is the response from EA/Respawn after gen got hacked in game 3?
They wanted to fucking keep on playing, thinking like "Ah gen got phished so his PC got hacked, oh well, we are still counting game 3, DZ could have a sub - gent, game 4 is on the way!"
Then game 4 started, literally the most famous player, the biggest stream at the time ALSO got hacked.
Who knows how would EA/Respawn's respond to the issue? Are they going to think "huh, hal and gen both got hacked? might be coincidence, we can still start game 5 right?"
So his mindset is completely right, because this is NOT gen's problem, it is something very wrong about the game, it has a massive exploit that is putting every player in the lobby at risk. THEY SHOULD STOP PLAYING AT ALL.

People learn how to make hacks in CSGO because it’s so easy and you need third party extensions just to play it without concern. Titanfall 2 was literally unplayable for two years on PC. They have to reset the whole tournament regardless of what these players think should happen. There was lag in game one for almost every player and then game two got restarted because of it and that is not a coincidence. The tournament was compromised way before anyone realised they were playing with hacks. Gen didn't even know he had aimbot when he killed a guy. There is zero competitive integrity if they do not restart the whole tournament because they have no way of knowing when or for how long the games were compromised.

I will not be playing Apex until this issue is resolved and you shouldn't either. If the rumors are true and this is an RCE, this is about the most severe security issue software can have. If the hackers gets access this way they will be able to execute whatever code they want in your machine, including keyloggers, other backdoors, etc etc.
Of course the hacker will have to specifically target you, but there's no telling if they have a way to mass exploit this.
Until we get word this is not a RCA or this is patched, I would stay away from Apex.

hal is 100% right in this scenario and he played it very wisely. apex would have just swept it under the rug if he left and continued as if nothing happened. by staying in the game he forces them to re-do it and preserve the competitive integrity. he's also such a large streamer that he knew he'd face no real consequences for it because apex can't afford to lose one of the games biggest names in a scandal like this where he's not at fault in any way.

They kept playing on the PC while conencted to the network even tho EA told them not to is just wild. I mean even the slightest tech savvy would know to just DC your PC in case of any hack that injects something onto your pc. I died consecutively in 3 matches in the hands of hackers in ranked on Singapore server, apex ranked is unplayable.
iF anticheat fails it's their fault, the moment this happened in the first place they should've just stopped and postponed the event, but they were like oh you know what ? lets just continue dark zero are down one we don't give a damn, they would've done the same to TSM if hal just left the game, so way to go ceo.
Its not EAC's problem. Its within the Apex games code faults. EAC posted an update from their side.

If he wouldve not left they wouldve just let it play it with him not leaving he forced them to restart / cancel the match and tell them that that is a huge problem
The game prior Genburten got hacked at end-game and instantly left the game, and the game played out. Luckily the hacker made it obvious it was a hacker and not just Gen himself revealing hacks accidentally.
The tourney still ran another game, presumably thinking it was a one-off, Gen himself, or just a targeted attack on Gen. When Hal got hacked, he didnt want to leave the game because it was the beginning, and he didn't want to leave his team in a duo for the entire match in the event they kept the game rolling because Hal removed himself. Instead, he made sure he completely ruined that match with the hacks and forced the organizers to stop everything and address the issue.

good to know, ea and respawn, ban Hal, because he killed someone and said he had aimbot. But don't ban Gen, who said he had all the cheats, but didn't realize he had aimbot as well. Goes to show, there's literally no counter on the side of EA and Respawn, as far as detection goes, they watch and then decide for themselves, whether or not they think it counts as cheating, not actually analyze the issue and where they have been compromised - that's why there's so many cheaters, which are being reported, but they don't get banned, unless the devs working on this, are actually there and get a clip of a blatant cheater who shoots people from 1000 miles away or when they do it again, live, while the devs are watching. The chances of that, are being canceled out, by cheaters making a new account. Conclusion: Respawn anti cheat team, had layoffs and it works the same.
It would be funny to find out that they were actually cheating the whole time and this actually brings it out

Hal not leaving the game was the correct decision due to the incompetence of the ALGS Adms, it is absurd that they did not end the game which harmed Gen because he left, this only demonstrates how these Adms do not understand the game and much less know how to make good decisions, and We've been suffering from hackers since season 1, and it seems like every moment it only gets worse, remembering that there were hackers doing lives on Twitch while using illegal programs that took weeks to get banned, this game has always been compromised
