  • Who remembers Mega Man? Not Capcom. I'm a big fan of the Mega Man X series, it got me into Mega Man and it also got me nowhere else. I love Mega Man X but never ventured much outside of this series. So I wanted to go back and look at these games, but a marathon just wouldn't be enough.
So Part 1 is on all three SNES games, Mega Man X1 - X3. This video was also recorded over a year ago and I forgot to finish it. So... at least I'm not as neglectful as Capcom. Enjoy!

MMX 1-3 were core gaming memories for me. I played them religiously on emulator in the early 2000s. God, what a great series!

I don't know why everyone thinks you have to die 4 times at the end of Spark Madrills stage to get the Hadoaken.. just use the escape function in the menu. It still counts

I love these games, definitely had the best art direction, I feel. But yes, X1 is the best one. X2 is not bad, X3 feels like it had a lot of Beta features that had a lot of good ideas, but kind of unfulfilling execution. Like, the Ride armors were a good idea, but it was a bit undercooked for the sections you could use them in. And the boss weapons being less and less useful kinda sucks. The upgrades were just better and better, except the helmet. They really didn't seem to figure out what to do with the helmet upgrades, cause the X1 use was already really niche and X2 and X3's were awful at best of times.
