-The sun changes positions as the day goes on and that changes the angles of the shadows. You open menus up at your own risk during the day because your safe spot will probably not stay a safe spot for long unless you're deep into the trees. -You saw it a bit in this video, but an alarming number of V blood bosses can and do wander around the open world including ones that massively out level and out power you. It's not impossible to beat them at low levels, but it's usually better to just run away. Also they will fight creatures and even other V Blood bosses of different factions so you will get caught in that crossfire at some point. This can actually be pretty helpful because you don't need to be the one to kill the boss to extract the blood. This can allow you to sequence break pretty easily. This is also why you'll probably run into random loot and half health enemies out in the open. It means some patrols crossed paths and one of them lost. -Blood essence drops from any living thing you kill and not just the stuff you feed on. -Don't waste your hearts on filling your blood pool. Everything you eat will automatically fill it to max so if you're low just find something and eat it instead.
Blood type is random % but different mobs have different types and each type has bonuses. Early on i suggest looking for something with Brute type for more defense and health leech to keep you alive longer. Later on you can get prison cells and take humans back to keep as cattle for a steady supply of high quality blood that you can turn into potions and carry with you.
Can we take a minute to appreciate how amazing the game design is? They put a rat near the casket because although it appears to be terrain decoration, it is a chest and the rat makes you loot it. Theres a boss that needs you to use invunrability that you get off an armour rack scattered around the area and they have one at the start of the area as you walk in directly in your path so you figure it out. Just these little things to teach you without having a giant popup in your face like "DO THIS THING FOR x" reminds me of when games were good.
V Rising is pretty fun, been playing it since it first hit alpha. Not as deep as 7days but worth an annual solo playthrough, more if you're into pvp. The building is very good. I'm usually not into decorating but end up spending a fair amount of time and resources pimping out the castle. One of the few games that I've ever bought cosmetics from.
used to play v rising back then and beat the game. now theres new content which im about to dive in anyway. perfect time for a series. also you can see the blood quality of enemies if you put your curser over it. the higher the % the more youd like to drain it and actually keep that blood until you run out of it.
If your going to continue and stick solo increase your harvest amount, stack amount, craft amount and such. Game designed for small group play, default is fine but will take longer to progress
My best friend and I love this game. We just started our own server. When it comes to your blood pool, you need to pay attention to the precentage of your bood type and the percentage of the enemy's blood type. You only want to feed on enemies of the same percentage or higher. Other than that you're picking up the game very quickly. Love to see it and I would love to see more. Happy hunting!!!
I love this damn game it came into EA with so much polish and left with 3x the content in under 2 years. It's legit a 10/10 game and it kinda launched that way and I can't wait to see what crazy game the devs do next.
good to see the positive recommendations. i had the game on my wishlist waiting for 1.0 to really see if i should pick it up or not. i would only play single player.
When you hover over an enemy it will tell you what blood type and percentage they are underneath their name. Dont be afraid to fight things higher levels than you, you stand a better chance than you think!
+ if you look at the middle of the screen at the bottom, it tells you your bloodtype and percentage. just hover the mouse over it, and it gives you a description as in the bloodpool tab.
I just replayed it when Gloomwood got released, the second playthrough was just as entertaining as the first, although some of the endgame bosses were bullshit. I'm currently playing the Soulmask demo, but then I'll probably replay this just to see how the full release looks like.
I am HERE for this. Absolutely want to see a series! BTW, I'm sure it's been mentioned, but you can see the Blood % below an enemy's health bar, and you can see your current blood percent and type in the bottom right of your blood-orb. You went from a 62% creature quality to 5% creature. You'll want to only take on the blood when low or 'upgrading' to a higher quality; otherwise, feed but press Mouse 1/Left Click to just chomp them without changing your blood type. Chomping immediately kills and can save you when you get under fire from other mobs.
In a single player server I would build near a waypoint so you have early, easy fast travel. In a populated server this would probably not be a good idea. I am not sure how the PvP works in this game though. Valheim seems like a more co-operative system for multi player but something like Rust and Ark are not unless they are in your tribe.
Yay!! I'm really glad to see you play this one - I bought it myself awhile back and I've been meaning to devote a little time to it, now I have a perfect excuse 😀I really hope you continue so I can play along!!
Hey brother so happy you are playing this looking forward to a loonnggg series. Ya gotta play Abiotic Factor it is amazing really fun game especially with friends. Maybe hit up the Neebs boys and get this show rolling! Another great one!
Awesome video. My friends and I beat this game last year before the newest update of course, now there's more to do. Before drinking blood from creatures and humans it'll show the percentage, always try to get the ones with better blood.
I saw him open up the map and I said.. Hes going to babble himself to death and burst into flames he's not in the shade.. Right after he said need to stick to the shade... . Oh no I'm on fire.. .. no s.. sherlock. happens when you stand in the raising sun.
To briefly explain blood: your blood will continue to drain naturally as you play, and faster if you use certain baseline vampire powers like the healing. Every time you feed, you recover the full 10L of your tank, but each feeding completely replaces the "blood type" you were previously using. There are a bunch of blood types with their own set of passive bonuses you will discover as you play, but in general all of the types will be stronger the higher the % value is (a 90% Creature blood has stronger and more access to the bonuses than a 5% Creature blood). Some blood types are better at certain things and entirely dependent on whatever you are doing and which tools you're using, so you should def read the tooltips when you find a new one and experiment! I believe the Brute type is a popular choice since it gives good defensive bonuses fit for any melee setup. You can always cancel a feeding in progress to execute your target. If I can make ONE suggestion, for solo play I would strongly recommend toggling off the "Teleport Bound Items" in the Game Settings on your save file. By default the game prevents you from using teleporters if you have anything in your inventory aside from tools and consumables, which is fine if you're into the immersion, but it can lead to hours and hours of running back and forth with an inventory full of shit when you just want to grind resources for a bit. You can also increase the number of castles you can build if you wanted to explore the map and try different build locations :)
Kia ora Glock9, this was a pretty interesting video of yours. As a person who really does enjoy your content, especially watching the new frontier series. I think, I would love to see more of this V rising content of yours. You have my vote.
It's a great game. my only draw back is as you level up to facing stronger bosses, the lack of being able to grind better gear due to needing to unlock them by beating the bosses, is such a pain as a solo player.
I love that you started playing this! I've had it on my steam wishlist forever and I want to start it myself! LOOKS SICK! Cant wait to add it to my library and start my own campaign series! :D KEEP IT GOING!
I’ve watched this four times now and I genuinely hope Glock plays more of this, very entertaining and meshes well with the banter, plus building/ grinding montages, I like every aspect of this, thank you and great work as always Glock 👌💙
Awwwwwww man this game play looks awesome, I was enjoying it the heck out of it. Just before it was getting even more awesome the episode was over. Great game it looks like though would be awesome to see more.
This game is great! Just finished it with a little over 150hrs from first playthrough with friends. Started a solo Brutal playthrough. Doubled loot, tripled stack size, doubled crafting speeds, allowed using Waygates at all times no matter what items I'm carrying. Should be epic! Can't wait to see any DLC's or updates going forward! They get my $ automatically.
Ive been playing this game pretty much since release. Super awesome to see others play it too! If you play on a PvP server any time soon, I wish you luck Glock!
This game is great fun and you're right it gets quite challenging later on, I played it since early access and the map was half the size it is now. You should continue playing it, would love to see more. PS the normal game settings is for playing in a group of 4, so in single player it's recommended to increase gathering a bit just to reduce the grinding, maybe just like 2x so it's not too easy.
You can check the percentage (blood quality) of their blood beside their name before extracting so that you wont overlap a better blood to a weak one. You can also craft a helm if you want check your crafting menu on your inventory. In my opinion, the Brute blood and Scholar blood is the best blood class. You can normally extract brute blood from bandits and soldiers and form Scholar blood you can extract them from Priest or any mages from the map. But, blood types depends on what you will do, for example if you plan on getting resources you can change your blood type to worker and if you are fight you can change to Brute or Scholar which pumps up your survivability (brute) or your magic/spell damage (Scholar).
As someone who has been playing since the early access release of V Rising you are going to love it i feel. Alsol... a nice tip for well... anybody... When looting a container (on mouse and keyboard) Hitting Q with auto loot them... Also also... in terms of how much materials you'll need.... the answer is all of them... throw nothing and i mean ABSOLUTELY NOTHING away... everything has its uses... I dont want to end up spoiling things so i'm gunna stop lol
When playing solo I strongly reccomend upping the gathering yeld, it really doesn't matter that much in single player. At least it didn't like 2 years ago, but I doubt that much has changed in that regard, gathering is slow mostly so you would have to interact with other players more often. Hunting V Blood Carriers is main mode of progression, and I found that fun while playing solo. I'm excited to try the game out again now that it's out. Also, the deal with blood purity and type is a bit confusing at the start. All drinkable things have a blood type specific to their kind and every one have different blood purity, it's the % next to their names. If I recall correctly, you will be able to have some prison cells later on that will allow you to refill the specific type with high purity after you capture a donor. Each blood type has its pros, and high purity blood can have really nice bonuses like high life steal or movement speed. Drinking a V Blood Carrier doesn't change your blood type or purity. It does unlock crafting stations sometimes, though. That spellcaster dude that harassed you after you killed the wolf was also a V Blood Carrier, and you will eventually want to hunt him down too. Needless to say, I'll love to watch a series!
I played it last year beat the first three bosses the only thing that sucks is if you don't make the day time go quicker your just stuck in a Coffin for a while
Would love to see more. Game is really fun. I know you just started Alpha 15 series in 7D2D, but a few more V Rising episodes before 1.0 release of 7 days would be sweet
Even if you don't like the building aspect of this type of games, once you get used to it and after unlocking servants, you can leave the crafting and collecting to your servants and focus on the action. I'm a solo player, but I've heard that the game is even more fun and enjoyable in multiplayer mode and even more in PvP enabled servers.
I e played this for a while. I love your take on it, it’s refreshing seeing it through a new bloods eyes. Love to see you make series out of it, there is plenty of content.
Different animals and people have different blood quality it will tell you how good it is on the very top when you hover over them. The better the blood the better you will be.
Don't drink everything you fight. when you mouse over them it shows their blood type and %. You can also start drinking and cancel it with left click just to kill them fast which is very useful for annoying enemies. Even if you don't make more videos it is a fun game to play through even solo.
it's a great game, much improved from early access. quite challenging solo, certainly some of the Vbloods will be difficult. Either way, nice to see a new title on the channel
I had no idea this was in beta before! I've watched tournaments in this game, thought it was out for a fair bit. Reminds me of Valheim. Looking forward to seeing Glocky give it a go.
'The sun is rising' That is the stance of a man who is going to burst into flames if he stands around.
😂🤣
More? Yes, please.
Took the words right outta my mouth XD
Yup.
Yeah same here
-The sun changes positions as the day goes on and that changes the angles of the shadows. You open menus up at your own risk during the day because your safe spot will probably not stay a safe spot for long unless you're deep into the trees.

This game is awesome! Now with the full release I've been playing through it again myself!
good to see the positive recommendations. i had the game on my wishlist waiting for 1.0 to really see if i should pick it up or not. i would only play single player.
OMG as soon as I saw his toon I started laughing. He looks like a beefy Freddy Mercury. LOL
Dude that's so wrong! I'm dead! 😅
@@wpistol Someone who has the ability should turn that character into a meme dancing and singing Don't stop me now.
Missed opportunity from the devs. They should have called it "Mercury Rising" 😄
This is one of those underrated games which not many people know about. I really like that you are playing this
When you hover over an enemy it will tell you what blood type and percentage they are underneath their name. Dont be afraid to fight things higher levels than you, you stand a better chance than you think!

I loved this game when it came out, need to get back into it. Loved the building mechanics
For me an essential setting is to allow waygate use while carrying items, just annoying with that off

Ahh V Rising. The game where the bosses may as well reach through your pc screen and unplug your power cable mid-fight
(howling laughter)
I love it when people run away and are suprised the boss resets
Please cover this game regularly. We need various multipart playthroughs.
Awesome video. My friends and I beat this game last year before the newest update of course, now there's more to do. Before drinking blood from creatures and humans it'll show the percentage, always try to get the ones with better blood.

Oh yeah, this is a great game. My friends and I are loving running into all the new stuff added since early access!
To briefly explain blood: your blood will continue to drain naturally as you play, and faster if you use certain baseline vampire powers like the healing. Absolutely want to see more of this one! Great change of pace from your 7D2D campaigns.
Have played this a bit, 6.8hrs so far. It's surprisingly fun.
Exactly. This is also why the PVP scene went away. Max levels just sit at the material farms and prevent anyone from progressing.
It gets easier once you know their attack patterns.
Soloing bosses is the easiest way to down a boss imo, especially in brutality difficulty.
I love that you started playing this! I've had it on my steam wishlist forever and I want to start it myself! LOOKS SICK! Cant wait to add it to my library and start my own campaign series! :D KEEP IT GOING!
You can build walls over existing walls without dismantling them first.
Good game, but my suggestion is to carry on with V blood "donors" until you open up true castle walls. And frankly first ones are easy to speed run.
This one time, at Bandit Camp...
Seems interesting, thanks for showcasing it, I’ve been looking for something new.
I've played the game since it was in early access and played through the game a few times. Glad to see so many great changes with the full release!
Looks like a really fun game! I might have to pick it up myself, but I would love to keep watching it!
I love this game. Played it a bit while it was pre release. Now I need to get back to it again. Thank you Glock for showcasing it.
Same here. Glad to see Glock playing it.
I think I'm gonna like watching G9 play this game.
Would love to see you do a series on this! You're gonna have a blast with the bosses and the castle building.
Yes. I'd like to see more of this. The bosses are always challenging, even if you're past their gear level. This is mostly a skill based game, imo.
I’ve watched this four times now and I genuinely hope Glock plays more of this, very entertaining and meshes well with the banter, plus building/ grinding montages, I like every aspect of this, thank you and great work as always Glock 👌💙
It would be awesome to see more game play of this game.
V rising is a great game to play in the interim while you wait for 7D2D 1.0.
Awwwwwww man this game play looks awesome, I was enjoying it the heck out of it. Just before it was getting even more awesome the episode was over. Great game it looks like though would be awesome to see more.
Would love to see a series plz Glock. Cheers mate
Finally! Hoped you were going to play this! It's awesome!

15:46 I just wanted to congratulate mommy and daddy Glock for having so many beautiful children.
is it moving up or down when you go from chickens to rats?? good video and interesting game...
This is the stance of a man who'd watch more of this game.
As someone who has been playing since the early access release of V Rising you are going to love it i feel. Alsol... a nice tip for well... anybody... This looks awesome. Gotta add it to my list of games to try.
This looks like a very interesting game. Much love and support.
I've loved this game from day 1. The music alone just hits so well
When playing solo I strongly reccomend upping the gathering yeld, it really doesn't matter that much in single player.
When you drink blood, your blood turns into whatever you drank, for example 9% Rogue. If I recall correctly, you will be able to have some prison cells later on that will allow you to refill the specific type with high purity after you capture a donor. Before that, you might want to be conservative with your sucking, not to change your blood into something putrid, especially if you find something nice.
YES! Please play this game! It only gets way cooler and more fun from here Glock! YAY!
Dude, I'd love to see you have a full on series of this game!!! Thanks man!
Please do more! I love watching you play 7 Days and i'm also starting V Rising, i'm happy to see that you too!! I'm loving the game, it's really good.
Yeah, more of this. I played this with a group of friends quite a while ago in early access, and your vid here has got me wanting to play it again.
Even if you don't like the building aspect of this type of games, once you get used to it and after unlocking servants, you can leave the crafting and collecting to your servants and focus on the action.
I'm a solo player, but I've heard that the game is even more fun and enjoyable in multiplayer mode and even more in PvP enabled servers.
the first game i played before Glock9 but why i have the feeling of deja vu with the exact same commenatary by Glock?
It would be fun to see your take on this more. Be wary many high level bosses wander around the map on the paths and they will f you up.
Nice to see you playing V-Rising, This game and the new content it gets are worth the few bucks its costs! Thanks, Glock!
a game where i now think "damn you could have paid 14,00 or so for this grand game"
I e played this for a while. I love your take on it, it’s refreshing seeing it through a new bloods eyes. Love to see you make series out of it, there is plenty of content.
I definitely vote for the continuation of the adventures of Swole Freddy Mercury 😂
"The sun will F you up just like my Irish friend" the Irish vampires confirmed?
hey glock! big fan of the 7DTD series. glad your checking out this game, been playing since early access and enjoying it.
Simon has you beat on missing things right in front of his face. The king of it.
Different animals and people have different blood quality it will tell you how good it is on the very top when you hover over them. The better the blood the better you will be.
I love this game and I'm so glad you are playing it. Would definitely watch more!!
I’ve played this game a lot but watching you play it for the first time is fun to see, keep it coming glock great video as always
highly highly recommend the camera tweaks mods to make the camera work like a normal game, unlocked from its limitations.
23:19 Glock running right by the health orbs and then complaining that he can't heal is so on brand
Edit: And please make this a series !!!
Absolutely more - this sounds like a game that would be up your alley.
At least you know you have a habit of missing what's written in front of you Glock😉
I really recommend that you play on a server. If you don't you miss out on using servants which for solo is really important for resources.
