My favorite thing with building a castle is using door walls all around a room. It makes it look just like pillars and you have a more open floor plan. Which I like.
Everytime I start a new game I check to see if you have a guide, one of the best guide creators out there imo. I am at gear score 35 so pretty early in but really enjoying it so far

Great guide and tips - I played some early access and am now diving into 1.0. One server setting for single players that I found important was to reduce the rate of blood essence consumption by your castle heart. That way, if you take a few days off from the game, you won't come back to a decaying castle (and yes, you can also turn off castle decay if you want).

I have some friends who have been playing since early into the early-access stage of the game, and have invited me to come along now that 1.0 has dropped. I feel like the in game tutorials and systems are poorly explained and it's caused quite a bit of frustration. This guide feels well made and I'm glad I stumbled upon it. Looking forward to (competently, now) doing vampire stuff.

This is the First survival crafting game to truly flesh out combat without shifting it to just be a combat gane with annoying resource requirements since terraria. Thats quite the achievement
On Prisoners/Servants, you can take a prisoner and convert it into a servant. Say you have a 89 blood then you find a 95 blood of the same type. You can turn that 89 into a servant since you have a higher blood quality now. Servants get a bonus to their expertise depending on their blood quality. It is beneficial to use higher blood type’s for both. Not required just an added bonus.

just pick up the game and invest in 15h in about 2 days , still progressing .But i have to agree , getting your gear up by 1 make LOAD of different a usual 2 shots are 3 shots
Before i realized to not carry everything i have i got dropped by a damn little shop of horros plant 10 levels above me. Died a few more times trying to get my inventory back, now i know
I first tried the game when it came out and there was only M+T support, no controller. I hated the gameplay. Now with controller support I have a ton of fun and love the game!

Use actual pillars.... they take much less resources.

Note for something you did not mention for bear form
if you have a debuff you can go into bear form to have that debuff wear off faster

In terms of servants and their Zone Bonus. If I place 2 tracker specialists, does it drop the level by 200 or still only 100?
