when you don't understand that time is the most precious resource in life, for instance when you are 18, you don't value productivity and you might think is obsessive. when you grow, you understand productivity and the importance of time tracking.
Thanks! And yeah, for my personal life its more just about the ritual and accountability of setting the timer to start a task, but for work it is also quite useful to keep myself on track in terms of noticing how well I am spending my time, it's very easy to spend like half a day at work jumping between tasks or emails and feeling like I am super busy without getting much done, and this can make me a bit more aware of that.
Great video. I have a Timeular but stopped using it!! Silly. Time to dust it off and get tracking again! P.S. I like the new look - great video background and lighting etc.
Thanks! And yeah I sometimes fall off using my Timeular as well. Those periods are also my least productive periods, but probably more of a correlation than a causation 😬
Ahh thats great. It's amazing what a diffference it makes to just have a convenient physical object to use for time tracking. Even if its just like 2 clicks, I would never in a million years be able to track every minute of my day if I relied on using an app on my phone.
True that, og takk!
Whoa, awesome setup man 🔥! I time track, but not every moment of my day. Actually, I work at RescueTime (which as you mentioned does automatic time tracking). But I still do manual time tracking (Toggl & Timery) for the reasons you mentioned and to get big-bucket overviews. I tried to do the every-moment-of-the-day approach before, but I couldn’t get it to work for me.
Thanks! And ah cool. I have actually referenced rescuetime twice in my videos even though I have barely used it myself 😁 The only way I would be able to do the every minute of the day approach is with a physical time tracker. Even though it doesn't seem like a big impediment just having to open an app or open a window on the computer to do something still becomes enough of a hassle that I don't do it. With the cube though its just always infront of me and when I change a task I just change it to a different side. I think part of it is that it feels more like a ritual than an annoyance which I think I would feel if I had to use an app. This is probably easier for me to do than most people though because I also spend most of my time inside and at my desk, so then the cube is always at hand.
I was initially skeptical but now I'm glad I watched the entire video! I was not familiar with that tracking tool (it seems a good natural habit builder) and it is very well explained. Thanks a lot! PS: Gosh, you'd think they'd come up with an easier name than timeular - ugh! sounds like "tubular"? ;-)
I feel like that is still a bit over complicated and waaaay too expensive when I can just start a pomodoro on my phone that's named specifically how I'm gonna spend that time. Combine that with time blocking on Google calendar, and then it comes down to being truthful with how you spent that time.
Let me know if you do any time tracking in your life, and what you think about tracking 24 hours a day!
Hi! Do you still use timeular?
when you don't understand that time is the most precious resource in life, for instance when you are 18, you don't value productivity and you might think is obsessive.
when you grow, you understand productivity and the importance of time tracking.
Great content as always. Just bought a Timeular. I can use this! Especially for my work!

I like how you use two trackers, one for personal and the other for work. Really thinking of giving this a try. Thank you.
Thank you for this
Glad you got something out of it!
I'm using timeflip. It has 12 sides, which is plenty for me
Great video and insight.
Thanks, glad you liked it!
I do it too! It's pretty easy and it gives me a lot of insight
You place looks 🔥 great video (and editing!) ... I agree with the problems coming from not deciding to do anything!
Thanks Bhav! Still feel like I struggle a bit with lighting but I'm getting there 😬

underrated topic

Just got myself a timeular and found this video insightful!

Stå på mann! Lurar på å kjøpe denne eller Timeflip 2. Tida vår er det viktigaste me har!

Loving every video you put out! This is on my wishlist now and you're totally right in its power as a ritual to be deliberate with your time
Yeah I like it a lot, I don't think time tracking is for everyone but if you are going to track time this reduces friction a lot.
So much value in this video! Nice one man!
Thanks ^_^
Great new look with your lighting set-up 🙌🏻🔥 Also great to hear about that cube gadget to track time, such a great tool!
Thanks, just need to get an ND filter and hopefully I am golden 😬
Wooow this could really help me realiimg wher I spend time on

@@EarlyOwl Yeah, if I ever switch to doing the every minute approach I'll definitely consider Timeular.

Is there any time tracking software that tracks video recording and live record? Like loom but also live

the reason why... 1:37
I think it is stressful and can't do that for whole life
