I am 68 years old and it took me going back and forth like 2 hours but I was able to understand your directions and I just wanted to thank you VERY much! You have helped a Senior Citizen to save money ,buying a new phone. Your Parents must be very proud of you! I am!!
1st phone repair...replaced the battery and the charge port assembly. Success! SO far at least...powers up fine, and the new battery is charging up as we speak. Fingers crossed I did not miss anything, but this was the BEST of the 3 videos I found. The narration really helps! Thanks so much for your video, Jerry! HTC made this WAY more difficult than it needed to be, but it can be done! Yay!!! :)
Fantastic video. Gave me the confidence to replace my charging port rather than spend big money on a new phone. A bit of time and patience is all you need when instructions and vid are this clear. It's nice to fix things rather than throw them away and waste money on new items when you really have no desire for something new. Thanks!!!
So here I am, literally watching an old JerryRig video because I literally needed someone to walk me through repairing an M8 with the red blinking light issue durring a pandemic because why not? This is amazing.
Dang. Best disassembly video ever. You showed all the same problems i had and how you fixed them and no unnecessary talk, only the important info. Just replaced my charger-port with absolutely no problems in under 30 minutes, including finding tools and this video.
Is it necessary to remove the battery, the motherboard, etc if I'm only looking to replace the charger port? I want to touch as less things as I can, or else I know I'll create more problems.
Dude, thanks so much for putting this vid together! It helped me fix my M8 :D The issue with mine was: It wouldn't turn on no matter what button combos I did and for how long. When I plugged it in, the depleted battery logo would appear and the orange charging LED would light up, then the screen would go black, and the orange LED would turn off, then go dim, then bright, and the screen would turn on and display the depleted battery logo. I left it charging overnight, thinking maybe a charge would trickle in enough to let me turn it on, but nope. I found this video, replaced my Charging Port and Battery (and cleaned my duo cam lens cover while i was at it), and it works PERFECT now. I can even plug my phone into my laptop and get files onto and off it again!! So again, thanks for this video!!!
Thank you for an excellent guide! I was able to get the little charging board replaced without much trouble. I ran into a little difficulty on these points: I lost the little black power button when I opened the case...I didn't realize it could just fall out. Found it after a few minutes...but gotta be careful of that! I think replacing the speaker grills is necessary whenever you take this device apart, luckily they're cheap. May as well add them to the order. The antenna wire connectors ( my Verizon HTC M8 has two) were pretty tricky to re-attach, but with patience, not a problem. Again...EXCELLENT guide...More than enough information, some guides don't give enough, and make it seem like it's super-easy. Thank you SO MUCH.
+Mike Silva After re-watching your guide...you do make a point of mentioning the power button issue...LOL.. I should have watched more than twice before starting. Again, I'll be back next time I need to work on a phone!!! Aloha!

I ordered the speaker part, but realized it doesn't contain the microphone before I tore my phone apart again. It was really hard... I had to hold it in place with tweezers, and press down with the flat side of a small screwdriver. It's difficult to "feel" when it's aligned right. I ended up REPLACING the little coax cables with spares from eBay. Just to be sure.
have mutilated this phone. tore out several ribbon cables removing the tape, broke the sim tray, the sd card holder and who knows what else. got shit falling out when I finally got the back off. never knew glass would bend that much without breaking. you sir have obviously disassembled many phones. I recommend doing exactly what he says. TAKE YOUR TIME!
amazing video, i almost gave up trying to replace my screen and digitizer after viewing another video that had me breaking down the phone into more pieces than a broken heart... i just ordered through your link so hopefully you get the credit!
this guy is really cool, he had a very calm hand, at least one hand.. guys, if you're end user, don't do this, you need super calm extreme steady hand, calm and steady hand like a watchmaker's hand.. if you're nervous or had shaky hand, please don't do this, you'll damaged your board.. I really emphasize this.. if you don't, you'll regret..
Your video was greatness. I used it to replace the charging port and battery on my One M8. The factory charge of the battery had the phone working great, but the new charging port has done nothing to fix the phone not charging. Deepest sadness. :(
You saved me bro your detailed re install was it... I changed my screen and didn't connect my battery. ... so when I went to start it it wouldn't boot but it would show it was charging. so I changed my charge port and stressed on this thing for a week and seen your video and that was it..... thank you so much..
great video I have called every local cell phone repair shop to see if they could replace my charger port and they all said the same thing they don't work on HTC One M8's I was ready to give up and go buy another phone when I ran across your video thank you
I was having an issue with the headphone jack not working properly, like a headphone was plugged in halfway. Followed this guide to replace the charging port and now my phone plays audio through headphones well. +1
I performed this repair yesterday and the video was very clear and helpful. Problems now are my power button doesn't depress like it should and the rear-facing camera doesn't work. Everything else works fine and the screen looks awesome. I can get the phone to power on & off by pushing really hard on the power button with a coin or something hard. I took the phone out of the housing and made sure I had the power button properly oriented in the case and that the power button / proximity sensor was in place. I repeated this disassembly and reassembly twice, but no improvement. It just seems like there is no "springy-ness" to the power button. Like something is missing? It looks like in the video there is a black square of plastic on top of the power button - which I don't seem to have. The power button / proximity sensor doesn't seem to have much if any adhesive on it, so even heating it up didn't make it stick down very well. Maybe I need to install some double sided tape under it? As far as the camera goes, I checked its connection on the bottom of the board prior to reassembly and it was solid. The rear led light works and the front facing camera works fine. Any advice on either of these problems would be most appreciated!
experiencing same type of problem my power button seems stuck (or pushed out of place) as the only way to make it work is using something hard to push down the button and still rarely works(is there a replacement power button??) .and phone dies at random percentages(presume i need to replace the battery) .and could you let me know if you solved the problem with the power button ......PS haven't replaced anything yet these problems have acured over time
Thanks for the Video....I am having problems with my phone taking a charge....I am going to try and replace the charging port......I will update on progress...parts arrive tomorrow!
why is it, that you had problems opening it because of all the adhesive and then you snap it back together when you finished at 8:48 ? Is the adhesive unnecessary?
Hi Jerry, I have taken out all the three screws on the mother but it's not coming out. I looks like something is still holding it tightly. Please help me out. Thank you
Thank you Zack! Big fan of your channel. I used this guide to successfully replace my One m8 battery. No issues so far. I have a question though. How does the earpiece receive data and power? It doesn't seem to be connected with any cables or ribbons to the daughter board.
Nice video, but I just thought it is noteworthy to anyone doing a charging port replacement only that you do not have to remove the entire motherboard. There's two ribbons and a snap connector. Then you remove one screw and apply some light heat to the charging port board and gently pull it out. There's no need for the other steps if that's all you're doing.
Gracias a su video, le cambie a mi HTC M8 la pantalla , la bocina y el pin de carga. Nunca yo habia destapado un celular moderno. Gracias nuevamente por su aporte..
Hi Jerry, thanks very much for the video, it was very clear and helpful! The problem you had with the power button falling out when you were reassembling the phone, if you put a piece of scotch tape across the top before taking it apart, the button shouldn't fall out -- a tip I learned from a video explaining how to fix mouse click mechanisms -- those teensy white buttons are something you definitely don't want to be struggling with. :-D Worked great here too. And it might be worth noting that people doing this repair want to get their iSesamo or whatever pry tool between the metal and the raised black border -- I wasn't sure, and scraped up a small bit of the black before it became clear to me. Thanks again! :O)
Does anybody know how to tell if you need the single or double pin for the charge port? The one linked is double but the phone I have is Sprint (32gb, non-HK). On Amazon one that they have says (Single): "HTC One M8 16GB (All Carriers) + 32GB Harmon Kardon Edition" and the other says (Double): "HTC One M8 32GB (Verizon and AT&T version) and HTC One E8." So neither version seems like a perfect match to me. Please help. On IfixIt for Sprint they show the single port: www.ifixit.com/Store/Parts/HTC-One-M8-Sprint-Charging-Assembly/IF285-008 So is that what I should get? Very confusing. Great video otherwise but seems like something that should be covered either in the video itself or maybe in the description.
Hi; I have done the Htc One M8 process of changing the charging port and battery and when I turn on the grainy pixelscreen appears, as when the signal is lost on the TV. You hear how it starts but you can't see. Any help as to why that happens to him? .Will I have moved the lcd screen when lifting the motherboard? It worked fine before. It was turned off by the battery the last time I saw him alive. Thanks
thanks. great video. do you have any idea what are the two wires (blue and white) connected to the charging port ? are both antenna wires ? if so, which ? I've bought a replacement charging port but there is only one connector solder to it...
Mine now has that quirky touch thing along the top part of the screen. When I go for notifications menu the app shortcut below it will also come alive and open up the app. Sometimes it won't let me touch a button within an app if it happens to be in this spot. Worse yet, this is a 6 month old replacement phone as the original one had a battery die. T mobile was going to exchange it but I also had a phantom rear camera lens cracked... With a case on and glass screen protector on front read: the phone didn't bend. So now they want me to send it in for an insurance paid repair... Of $175 and 14 week wait. Screw you. Anyhow just curious if the digitizer is apart of the screen or motherboard?
Wait! perhaps not all lost I think the ribbon cables just pulled out of the plug may be just fine. I'll tell you one thing this phone will never look the same not like the one you worked on. Good thing I just got the onePlus 3T my old M8 is taking a beating. I better stick to working on old Chevy trucks I'm good at that this electronics stuff takes patients
This was very helpful to see, although I still don't trust myself to fix my phone, it gives me hope that my phone can be fixed (charging port problem) and I can at least understand a bit of what a repairman can tell me about it. Is a fix like the charging port even worth getting to get it fixed? I looked up the pieces, and it seems pretty inexpensive, but if the labor of someone else fixing it costs a lot is it even worth it? I guess maybe I should just find someone who knows what they're doing, or take the time to learn myself. I just don't know if I trust myself to not break anything, haha.
Hi, First off gr8 video... Second, I had to get a replacement phone while still under warranty and the phone they sent looks and works the same as the old phone. However, It seems the wiring is a bit different and the main [motherboard] is different more wire connectors... I didn't take photos of the phone before I disassembled it [Highly recommended] so when I went to put it back together the wiring is different... as there is no place to put photos on here I will try to explain. With the dual camera on the right: there are 5 connections above the camera and a black and red wire connected below. On the Left side top [MB], there are 2 wire connections left of the power supply, 2 wires on the [daughter board] top left. on the bottom left [MB] 3 wire connections one is the black wire going to the bottom right. I have 5 wires to put back [(1)-black 1.5" (2)-white 1" and (1)-grey 3/4"... If anyone know where these wires go or have a wiring diagram please let me know... TY...
In the video you recommend replacing the external adhesive strips over the speaker & mic, but I can't find them on the site you link to nor on ebay when I search for 'HTC M8 adhesive' nor 'HTC M8 adhesive strip'. Do you have the link where you found yours or a recommendation of where to get them? (great video, btw! Much more thorough and much easier to follow than the other ones on UA-cam. Thanks!)
+Justin Pearman Hi Justin, you may have already figured this out, but what's being replaced are the actual grilles themselves, and they come with the adhesive already applied -- peel the whole thing off the paper, and simply apply it to the phone after cleaning off the old residue. These are crazy inexpensive -- I got mine on eBay, for only a little more than $3 per pair, looking OEM to my eye, and they had all of the colors available, so I picked up some red ones, along with the stock gun metal grey, and will try that out with my red case -- if it looks tacky, $3 ain't bad for the experiment. :O)
any idea when replacing rear dual camera you just raplace the new part and thats it? Reason I am asking is camera wont work but barcod scanner app is working so therefore I think camera should work unsless it needs some softwere updates?
The first area I tried to pry was near the volume buttons just like shown in the video. It turns out this is the worst area to pry, there is a very thin ribbon cable near the volume rocker.
Hello JerryRigEverything, great video, but there is a very fragile gps antenna attached into the daughter board. I would like to know how could I put the back part of the phone again without breaking this antenna, and where it should touch the back part of the phone for the gps works properly, thanks.
My rear camera was dead so I bought a new one, thanks to this video I manage to install a new camera. It was working well but when I was done assembling my M8 back again, now the new rear camera is dead too, just like the one before... any hints?
@2:15 in the video 2 wires are removed......any idea what those wires are for? My replacement charging port only has connection for the white one....not for the blue
+Micah Graumann , I was JUST about to ask the same thing! Mine, only has the white one,as well. I have just replaced both the charging port, AND the battery, and it will not turn on. I get a flashing orange light. Well, let me see if I can explain the situation a little better. My phone (The HTC ONE M8) could not charge with the USB connector any longer. You would have to wiggle it, and bend it to get it to charge. Then, it would not even hold a charge for very long. So, rather than pay the high fee for fixing my phone through my phones' company, I opted to purchase the tools, and the parts I needed on Amazon. I was pleased with my purchase, and had really looked forward to doing the repair myself, as I like to have fun fixing things. So, the repair of the charging port, went smoothly, and I then plugged my phone back up to the USB charger, and plugged that, into the wall outlet. The phone would try to turn on, play the jingle show the home screen , and then FRUSTRATINGLY, shut back off! Sooooo, at that point, I decided to order the battery. SO, I then installed both the battery charging port, and a new battery (less that same little blue wire , which by the way after re-entering my phone to double check, I didn't even see a place for that wire.) After replacing both of these items, I had expected to have my phone back to the way it was originally. No such luck! When I tried to power it on, this time, I had a blank screen , and just a flashing orange light. Trying to find out where I went wrong, I thought , OK, maybe the original charging port was good, and the battery was bad? So, I replaced the original charging port back in my phone, closed it up, and tried again.....but nothing happened. So, I went back and took it out, once again and put back in the new charging port with the new battery. I REALIZE THAT THIS IS A VERY LONG STORY, I KNOW, BUT i'M in a quandary, as to what to do, now! When it is plugged in, I try to power it on, and all I'm still getting, is the flashing orange light. I have tried that thing where you try, and hold down the power button, and the "down volume" also, and the only reaction I get from that is a temporary yellow steady light. Then of course, it goes right back to the blinking orange light. I have read on an HTC support site, that that meant that the battery was slowly charging, and just didn't have enough juice to power on yet. So, I am leaving my phone on the charger. Other sites, that are not listed as official HTC sites, like forums for instance, say that it means it is over heating. I think that we not only need tutorials for fixing our phones, such as these AWESOME VIDEOS BY "JerryRigEverything", but we need people to place videos on UA-cam that show their problems, so others can see if they have a similar problem. Then I guess if enough people have the same issue, the companies, might offer a solution, or replacement that they would not have to fork over money for to fix. Then, it would show it as maybe a manufacturer's defect, or design flaw. DEAR HTC, Please, take notice! This seems to be a running theme/issue with your phones, based on my review of the forums. I believe that , actually, could now use a new one! This has been very irritating. Just for the sake of possibility, does anyone have any creative ideas for repar?
+4TheTopDog I was experiencing the same problem with the charging. I had to wiggle it or hold it in to make my phone take a charge. I was hoping I wouldn't have to replace the battery so I went for the charging port replacement first. Sorry had to go into replacing the battery when I had my phone open that looked like it was going to be very hard so you went further than I did. One thing you did not mention and I'm hoping that you did it was purchase a different charging cable sometimes the cables go bad and if you get cheap ones they won't charge your phones. If you did that I really don't have much advice for you. Keep us posted.
+Micah Graumann Also I would like to say that it is been a couple weeks since I did my charging port replacement. I didn't connect either one of those two wires, and my phone has been working fine with no issues. Very strange I am quite curious to what those wires really do.
First things first, great video man! So, my Buddy got a totally wrecked One M8s, LCD broken, back scratched, the letters fell out etc. But ist still works. The screen seems to be the same on paper, and so are the case dimensions. Can I use the One M8 parts to fix a M8s? I mean they are pretty much the same phone... Thanks a lot!
Hi Jerry. I have a problem with my M7. I can't pull down the notification bar. But I can do so when it's in landscape orientation mode. I did a line test and I can't draw a line on the top part of the screen. What do you think is the problem?
what is on the mother board? if i were to replace the mother board part, because of a destroyed usb ribbon connector clip that came apart, what am i having to replace in the system? is this a full reset action needed scenario where i am going to have to reload everything again? thanks
I just kind of fell into it about 5 years ago. You totally can learn still! Ive seen 60 year old guys repair phones. But start with something easier... like an iPhone 5. (Not the iphone 5s.)
It's never too late. I went into TV servicing in the 60s when I was 35, and made a career of it. 87, now, and retired, but I'm stripping my M8 down, right now, in order to replace the charging port.
Is there a difference between a 6525 model and a 831c model HTC m8? Because everywhere I check they sell replacement screens only for 831c models and I have a 6525 model. Thanks.
is a diference at double pin and single pint charger port y have an htc m8 unlocked , if i buy a double pin bit my phone is single can i just installed normally
If you're talking about the charging port with the two wires that connect to it, you need the same part or only one of your headphones with work. If you have the 32 gb you need the double pin. the 16 gb I believe is the single pin but they are not interchangable.
Hi sir, is the quality of this screen just as good as the original one? I just got a replacement screen and the quality sucks. finding a good one to replace it again.
hey zach first of all great video i wanted to ask is there a port for the power buttons and the volume rocker because mine are busted and i can't find any replacment
Hi their jerry, I was wondering if you could make a video on showing us how to separate the digitizer from the LCD on Motorola Moto E. Many thanks Irbaaz Ps: keep up the good work.
+Steve D I think it mainly has to do with people using their phone while it's charging. Not having it set right and having the cable put pressure on the port could cause it too.
Can we change the micro usb to a usb type C? and can I change the battery for one with large capacity is in the alliexpress selling I don't know if it is good
so I'm gonna replace the screen and back cover but I have a question. are all htc one m8 parts the same?? I see a lot of different parts on eBay and Amazon but some say "only for htc one m8" and other say "only for htc one m8 831c". I have a Verizon htc one m8, so will these part fit my phone??
Hi. I use HTC one m8. My phone switches off once I remove it from charging. So now a days I'm using it while charging. Should I get the battery replaced ?
thank you for the video very helpful. I just changed my rear camera but now tuch screen wont work, I am going to take it apart and back again in case I missed to connect something.
Hello! I have already replaced the defective mic usb board and still after charging it 50% of the time have the same issue... Drives me crazy. What else can I do mate?? Any suggestions?
Link to the screen replacement part isnt working... Other wise great video... I love my M8!!! Its been a bummer trying to get the factory battery to keep/hold a charge... I had to put it away for awhile n got the htc U11 which im currently using... But now that i know my m8 it serviceable with replacent parts... Im definately goin back to it for sure!!!
the blue wire cable going to the charge port piece what is it for ? replacement part for the mic/charge port did not have the part for the blue wire cable
hey! I actually need the part andd all tools to replace the USB/Charging port! anddd I didn't see any in your video, but there isn't any soldering involved, right? Please and thank youu!
hi jerry, thanks for the video. i followed your guide and replaced my faulty screen and its working now but my phone says no simcard . what could be the problem, any suggestions
Same here. I followed this video back tracking when necessary as I worked on my phone. Replacing just the battery and the charging port. I didn't struggle with anything to the point of maybe damaging it. BUT the orange charging light is blinking but after 90 minutes so far, no life on the screen. I have a USB dongle to monitor voltage and current draw. It's showing 5V and only 140mA current where as my tablet charging while off draws 350mA AND the computer gives a USB recognition beep. The phone's new battery is warm so something is going on but no power on and no computer recognition beep.
Hey if I were only trying to replace the battery port, would I still need to disassemble the entire phone? Also, since I'm only trying to repair the port, I don;t need to replace everything else, right?
+xForgottenSorrows The one additional thing I know of would be the speaker covers, as they're almost impossible not to crease/mangle removing them. They're super inexpensive on eBay, though, so not that big a deal.
There's a lot more glue in the actual thing than shown in the video. The tape is also put on differently - it wraps around the cables so you can't just take it off like he did.

Thanks for the detail instruction! I always bend my charging port and eventually stopped working, which I had to replace one. It works perfectly now.
Your video was greatness. I used it to replace the charging port and battery on my One M8. The factory charge of the battery had the phone working great, but the new charging port has done nothing to fix the phone not charging. Deepest sadness. :(
Extremely informative video! Thank you! If my M8 doesn't take a charge, can I safely assume the charging port is the only part I will need to change?
"its nice that htc made it easy for us..." erm overstatement of the century
Well, it's not glued together, anything that can be screwed is a good design in this trying times
March 2019 and typing this on my 4 year old problem free HTC m8. Best phone I ever had.
You saved me bro your detailed re install was it... I changed my screen and didn't connect my battery. ... so when I went to start it it wouldn't boot but it would show it was charging. so I changed my charge port and stressed on this thing for a week and seen your video and that was it..... thank you so much..

Best and most straight forward Tut i've ever seen Great job man,
great video I have called every local cell phone repair shop to see if they could replace my charger port and they all said the same thing they don't work on HTC One M8's I was ready to give up and go buy another phone when I ran across your video thank you
I was having an issue with the headphone jack not working properly, like a headphone was plugged in halfway.
Any advice on either of these problems would be most appreciated!
experiencing same type of problem my power button seems stuck (or pushed out of place) as the only way to make it work is using something hard to push down the button and still rarely works(is there a replacement power button??) .and phone dies at random percentages(presume i need to replace the battery) .and could you let me know if you solved the problem with the power button ......PS haven't replaced anything yet these problems have acured over time
Did you put the power button plastic in the right way? It could be upside-down and therefore not pressing on the button.
Great video, thanks for sharing your knowledge !
If it wasn't for people like you I'd be walking around with a broken screen for another year :)
Thanks much for this video. Guided me to replace battery and charging port with minimal issue. And fix worked great!! Cheers!
Thank you
Thanks! This was a well documented video with clear instructions. I can use my old M8 again.
Amazing video Jerry.
Que bueno, que te fue de ayuda el tutorial.
Great video otherwise but seems like something that should be covered either in the video itself or maybe in the description.
att and verizon are double pin, other just one pin, sprint is just one pin
Not all heroes wear capes.
thank you so much for this video!
Can you provide a link to where you can find those metal plates over the speakers?
Do you think you could do some simple soldering repair videos? Like the galaxy s3 charging port or something?
Excellent excellent video, thanks for the links for the parts too!
Great! Thanks!!!
any idea when replacing rear dual camera you just raplace the new part and thats it? Reason I am asking is camera wont work but barcod scanner app is working so therefore I think camera should work unsless it needs some softwere updates?
The first area I tried to pry was near the volume buttons just like shown in the video. It turns out this is the worst area to pry, there is a very thin ribbon cable near the volume rocker.
It won’t be long and he will probably be a celebrity 😂
Hello JerryRigEverything, great video, but there is a very fragile gps antenna attached into the daughter board. I would like to know how could I put the back part of the phone again without breaking this antenna, and where it should touch the back part of the phone for the gps works properly, thanks.
My rear camera was dead so I bought a new one, thanks to this video I
manage to install a new camera. It was working well but when I was done
assembling my M8 back again, now the new rear camera is dead too, just
like the one before... any hints?
@2:15 in the video 2 wires are removed......any idea what those wires are for? My replacement charging port only has connection for the white one....not for the blue
Micah Graumann the phone seems to work fine with out them connected
DEAR HTC,
Please, take notice!
Thank you! I fixed my phone and this video was invaluable. :)
+HadoKing Glad I could help! Thanks for watching.
Hi Jerry. I have a problem with my M7. I can't pull down the notification bar. But I can do so when it's in landscape orientation mode. I did a line test and I can't draw a line on the top part of the screen. What do you think is the problem?
Great Video. Do I need to remove the screen in order to replace the volume and sim card ribbon, which are one piece?
what is on the mother board? if i were to replace the mother board part, because of a destroyed usb ribbon connector clip that came apart, what am i having to replace in the system? is this a full reset action needed scenario where i am going to have to reload everything again? thanks
Very Good sir, how did you learn about this? I'm 34 can I still learn how to repair cellphones?
I just kind of fell into it about 5 years ago. You totally can learn still! Ive seen 60 year old guys repair phones. But start with something easier... like an iPhone 5. (Not the iphone 5s.)
It's never too late. I went into TV servicing in the 60s when I was 35, and made a career of it. 87, now, and retired, but I'm stripping my M8 down, right now, in order to replace the charging port.
Which replacement tape should I put over the ribbon cable connectors as the old tape is no good anymore?
whats the cable you took out at 2:07
Is there a difference between a 6525 model and a 831c model HTC m8? Because everywhere I check they sell replacement screens only for 831c models and I have a 6525 model. Thanks.
You're the real MVP, thanks!
is a diference at double pin and single pint charger port y have an htc m8 unlocked , if i buy a double pin bit my phone is single can i just installed normally
I'm finding 1/2 copper foil tape online. Is that what you need to replace the silver tape?
do the parts listed above work for the AT&T version?
Great video! However, I can't seem to recoonect the two antenna wires. Any suggestions?
hey zach first of all great video i wanted to ask is there a port for the power buttons and the volume rocker because mine are busted and i can't find any replacment
Hi their jerry,
I was wondering if you could make a video on showing us how to separate the digitizer from the LCD on Motorola Moto E.
Many thanks Irbaaz
Ps: keep up the good work.
What is it about the charging port that makes it fail? Thanks for the vid.
+Steve D I think it mainly has to do with people using their phone while it's charging. Not having it set right and having the cable put pressure on the port could cause it too.
+Steve D as a woodworker, dust is always a big issue for me.
Hi would you know if the power button is replaceable or not?
Great video really helped,my phone is now charging but will not turn on? any ideas. Thanks
where can i buy the replacement metal parts that cover the speakers?
Do you sell that shielding tape?
does the motherboard and sister board have to be from the same device for it to be compatible?
Can we change the micro usb to a usb type C? and can I change the battery for one with large capacity is in the alliexpress selling I don't know if it is good
You sir are TOP NOTCH!
hi,bro i would like to know whether the phone loses its finishing after repair ??
How can I get the dual camera to replace it? Where can I get it? I´m living in Brazil, and here they don´t sell this cel.
so I'm gonna replace the screen and back cover but I have a question. are all htc one m8 parts the same?? I see a lot of different parts on eBay and Amazon but some say "only for htc one m8" and other say "only for htc one m8 831c". I have a Verizon htc one m8, so will these part fit my phone??
+machinekiller85 The one I linked in the video description says that it fits 'all carriers' So give that a shot.
Hi. I use HTC one m8. My phone switches off once I remove it from charging. So now a days I'm using it while charging. Should I get the battery replaced ?
The area around the Sim of the back cover isn't snapping over the phone. How do I know it's not going to break if I press harder?
Hey bro. I have a question. After changing lcd I CAN`T CHARGE my phone . readings are 0.00A. Screan is black as well
why you need to replace the vibration motor as well?
thank you for the video very helpful.
Will this mess with internal phone memory at all? Im just trying to change the charging port.
the blue wire cable going to the charge port piece what is it for ? replacement part for the mic/charge port did not have the part for the blue wire cable
how do I know about what pins are best for my phone ?
I need volume rocker buttons.
Please provide link of it.
what will cause the camera to be inverted ... after fixing the charging port ?
hey! I actually need the part andd all tools to replace the USB/Charging port! anddd I didn't see any in your video, but there isn't any soldering involved, right? Please and thank youu!
Zain Ershad No soldering needed! I linked the charging port in the video description. Thanks for asking!
hi jerry, thanks for the video. i followed your guide and replaced my faulty screen and its working now but my phone says no simcard . what could be the problem, any suggestions
Is your sim card in
my phone wont turn on, but when i plug it to my charger it shows its charging but pressing the power button does nothing, whats wrong with it?
Is the windows phone Variant has same motherboard as android version?
Hey if I were only trying to replace the battery port, would I still need to disassemble the entire phone? Also, since I'm only trying to repair the port, I don;t need to replace everything else, right?
+xForgottenSorrows The one additional thing I know of would be the speaker covers, as they're almost impossible not to crease/mangle removing them. They're super inexpensive on eBay, though, so not that big a deal.
HTC M8 Ke Upar Wali plate mil sakte kya button wali
There's a lot more glue in the actual thing than shown in the video. The tape is also put on differently - it wraps around the cables so you can't just take it off like he did.
I snapped the bracket attached to the motherboard which holds the ribbon for the screen is this replacable or is my phone now fucked?
