- Have you ever wondered what would happen if you went searching for the lost Brotherhood of Steel patrol alongside Paladin Danse? To test this, I took him with me and embarked on the mission. Upon finding the first part of the recon team, Danse began commenting on the situation. Then, as I searched for the remaining members of the patrol, Danse continued to provide commentary. After some time, I finally reached the final stage of the quest and found the last surviving member of the recon team. Here's the dialogue we had.

If I remember correctly, this is faction main quest, you will fail/never get it if the faction blown up.

@@chewy99.you can still do it if you find the lost patroll by chance and do the quest on your own. He wont attack immediately.
I always bring companion to his/her related group or faction, bringing Danse to this quest feels natural.

@@charless1145 Doesn't have to change things, the journey was different.
This is a very good quest to build affinity with Danse, as it offers plenty of "like" and "love" moments.

This is the preferred method for this quest because kells gives you a promotion and a power armor piece
It's a combat armour chest piece not power armour the only way to get power armour pieces from captain Kells is through the mission to find the traitor that's stealing food and convince the culprit to turn themselves in and you get the chest plate the other mission is dealing with Vergil after he helps you get into the institute and if you got the serum for him and Vergil cures himself you can complete the mission instantly by telling Kells this information and he gives you the helmet
@@dynamicender oh shit yeah that’s right it’s been a year or two since I played fallout 4 too much work and bg3 I think after I finish bg3 and the mods get fully updated after the update I’ll do a playthrough again then watch the show

last playthrough I did this quest after revealing Danse was a synth and getting him banished from the BoS. Danse was with me and we convinced the guy to return to the brotherhood. as soon as the dialogue ended he attacked Danse 😂 didn’t matter that he’d been cut off from the brotherhood for years and was just expressing happiness to see Danse lol

I always pickpocket this dude for his black outfit. Him and maxon are the only 2 in the game that wear it if I remember correctly.
I craft the outfit in 76 and sell it on the cheap
That’s why I added it to every BoS Paladin and made it sold in Teagan’s shop once you reach Paladin rank in my mod.
It’s too drippy to be held captive like this.

I once had him join the BOS again and later on killed him along with the others after siding with the Institute giving him one last glorious fight.

Fun fact is that if you convince him to go with the BoS, if you sided with them he goes with you to the final invasion on the institute along Maxon and the others in the Brotherhood

It's mad to me that some people do this mission _without_ Danse. The dialogue shows it's clearly designed to be done with him.
Indeed. Brandis' team going missing is one of the reasons why Danse's team is there in the first place.
But because of the open world nature of the game, you can do the entire thing before even meeting Danse. Even if you've met Danse you don't get him as a companion until the main quest reaches act 2 so it's easy to accidentally do it this way on a first playthrough, especially if a radiant quest has sent you to one of the locations and triggered "The Lost Patrol" quest.
I'm not much of a fallout player(tbh 4 is the only one I've ever even played) and I honestly forgot I can even take other companions that isn't dog meat when I got back around to this mission yesterday.
It’s weird I started a new play through and encountered them in the police station. I think my story line is bugged because I couldn’t get Danse to come with me and the other two give the same missions over and over. How do I go further on the story line?
@@xman20427 That's not a bug. Danse doesn't become a full companion until act 2 of the main quest. Keep pursuing the main quest and you'll receive a radio transmission from Danse in due course.

Helpful tip: of you ever use a unlimited companions mod, NEVER bring strong with you. He will yap the entire time and you can't even escape him during fast travels, dialogue scenes, or even the ending scene

I always get the quest done before walking to Lexington and clearing the ghouls attacking them, literally the first conversation I have with the guy once inside is hey, I found your dead homies and then a bunch of xp. I think I'd rather do the quest with Danse though so that I can get more affinity with Danse ASAP. His perk is fucking awesome.

That's a bug I noticed that happens when you find any of the bodies of the lost patrol before speaking with Danse.

Fun fact, for the second member you find, the Knight in the Coast Guard Training Yard… Danse states that Knight Tara Astlin was apart of his squad before joining Artemis… and he states she was the best marksman he’d ever known

One thing I love about Danse as a companion is not just his perk and strength but his commentary as he really feels dedicated to missions with you no matter what brotherhood related or not
Evrytime I watch your shorts I just did this right before lol it makes the story better and gives you a lot of respect from your companions when you bring them on thier missions

i just did thos quest today and come to the final stage of the mission i convine him to go back join the brotherhood and after that i change my mind cause brotherhood faction seems like cult so i just killed him and upom my journey inside the brotherhood plane i was shock since his name appear and say to me "do you remember me?" now im regreting my self after tell him to join the BoS again.

i accidently found paladin danse at the police station, didn’t know that was possible because the brotherhood hadn’t arrived yet
Danse is already there when you arrive because his team is also a recon team. His team's reports are what brings the rest of the BOS to the commonwealth.

I wish they would add like a co-op or where you can have maybe 4 or 5 people in same game. Like ghost recon wildlands where you can either join together n do missions or do your own thing then go and help someone out if they need it but every on same map.

if you make him return you can find him at the attack on the institute. I discovered this because he sadly died near the lift whilst fighting. I like to recover the tags of all who have fallen in the name of the bos.
This is what I did in my first game, I always thought this is the better way to do it.
I’ve been playing in survival always have danse with me for every brotherhood quest for a roleplay type scenario so it was my first time seeing this dialogue I find survival opens up a ton of what you’d miss with fast travelling
I stumbled upon this mission with paladin danse when we were going to kill pyro
Pyro was an annoying peace of trash while i defended Danse in front of Elder Maxson. I’m just tryna get Danse out alive while there are grenades and whatever that fucktard carried go off all around us. ANNOYING AF.
I did this my first play through then right when we finished it triggered the dialogue for danse finding out he’s a synth and it was really sad

its better if you bring dance with you for this one. bro offers great input on the situations and the audio logs, and i even remember some of these being full blown dialogue convos with him. it just feels like you're actually doing the work

I’m just gonna say it, fallout 4 is the greatest game of all time. This game in 2016 was just truly special, it had such a magical atmosphere, being my first fallout game and exploring the world and lore for the first time, listening to the soundtrack like orange colored sky, and many others, spending hours building insane settlements, getting to know all these amazing companions, coming across random things in the world like the boy stuck in the fridge or the old guy who locked himself underground in his basement, no game has ever had that feeling for me and I don’t think ever will. You truly can create your own story just from exploring the world, I have so many memories of things that happened that when describing them you would think it was a scene out of a movie, and they weren’t part of the story or a quest at all, just random experiences that happened in the giant sandbox. I’ll never get over how magical that time was and I’ll forever love fallout 4 as my #1 game

@@iamyourmom2 I don’t care for RPGs, I prefer linear games and I don’t mind a little choice here and there. For example little things like picking your faction, main companions, and where you set up base are enough for me. I don’t need anything more fallout 4 is a perfect game in my opinion
It really isn't the greatest game of all time. The writing in Fallout 1 and 2 alone is far superior.
That said Fallout 4 definitely isn't the worst game either. It's brimming with production quality. Graphics look great, Bethesda also really improved the gunplay since Fallout 3 as well. Indoor and outdoor enviroments are really atmospheric and pretty (especially Far Harbour), again another improvement from Fallout 3 which tended to look very dull and grey throughout.
But the writing in Fallout 4 leaves a lot to be desired, and certain design choices were bad and sometimed downright annoying (a flawed settlement system nobody asked for, Preston Garvey and his infinite radiant quests, guns that have incredibly bad design and look nothing like the guns in previous installments for no discernable reason etc )
@@sevenproxies4255 I’m not here to have a debate with anyone about the quality of the game itself, in my experience it’s the game I have the best memories with, and the experience I had playing that game and falling in love with the world is unlike any other game I’ve played and I’ve played all the big single player games. Obviously the combat isn’t the best ever, the dialogue isn’t life changing, and overall the game is just pretty normal, but I just fucking fell in love with this game and the lore and all I wanted to do was play it nonstop and when I wasn’t on the game I was watching UA-camrs play it or lore videos about the fallout universe
I am a fan of New Vegas over 4 personally, but I also don't understand why other older fallout fans hate on Fallout 4. It's definitely not the RPG of it's predecessors, but it does so many things in such an amazing way. I literally only like New Vegas more for the character building and storylines. Other than that Fallout 4 is right up there.

I almost always have Danse as my Companion when I play Brotherhood, the first time I did this quest with Danse by my side, I was genuinely surprised when he mentioned knowing the fallen soldiers and actually joined the conversation with Brandis.

i bought fo4 and 76 for my middle brother when they came out and watched him play, recently noticed the popularity and had finished the show, so decided i was gonna play myself.. i killed this poor guy... he shot at me first i was thinking it was a quest to help me meet Danse and join the Bos so i'm sad knowing now i could've left this guy alone and let him live (i chopped his head off with my chinese serated sword in a panic) it was my first play through and i wasn't trying to spoil anything by watching all the shorts.

I always played every BoS mission with Danse and 2 knights with me. All 4 of us in power armor. And it's always the satellite array that the knights get killed.
Also, if you take Danse with you to investigate the missing supplies then he has more dialogue. When Sergeant Gavil is giving you a hard time about the questions, Danse will cut in and insist that the sergeant "watch his tone", to which Gavil responds simply, "sir."

I did something completely opposite: I found him without ever having talked to anyone from the Brotherhood of Steel, at all. I just happened to find the radio transmission with my Pip Boy and then began searching each place, until I found the lost Paladin. He thanked me for collecting the dogtags, offered me to anything he had on his bunker and that was it. The mission prompt didn't mention the Brotherhood of Steel, just a reference to "an old soldier"
Just did this quest too. Wish I thought of bringing Danse. Only have codsworth and Preston as companions tho
Fun Fact: If you find him and send him back to the Brotherhood in a Railroad playthrough, he will actually be present during the assault on the Old North Church. This is also the only way to get the BOS Paladin paint scheme for T-60 armor in the Railroad ending.

1st mission, they sent me to Far Harbour to find recon. I don't even know it's in DLC part till the ship depart.
I haven’t wondered, I simply did the mission.
If you're on PC and you have your pick pockets still maxed out you crouch down behind other Max and you can pick pocket while he's wearing if you in towards his feet. You got to wait for like a glitch opportunity but you can get it only on PC
