Agreed. Unpopular opinion but I think Bethesda has gone stale and keeps forcing them back in because it’s “safe.” They don’t have to risk innovation if they can just copy and paste.
I’ve always viewed the BOS as a necessary faction. Wastelanders hate that they hoard pre-war technology, but we’ve seen the kind of technology and other science experiments that were being developed in secret before the bombs fell. At least the BOS are cautious, while as Wastelanders just see a cool weapon and cause mayhem with it.

1. Apparently a chinese nuke in 2077 damaged the mariposa facility enough to let FEV spread to the outside 2. Dont understand what you are asking 3. He was exposed to it by breathing it and such, maybe got some drops on him
I believe Harold was splashed by some of the FEV when the crane knocked Moreau into the vat. There were only a few mutants.... coming precisely from the abandoned Mariposa base, not just a few humans but mutated animals as well.
Well, yes, there were mutants and Raiders just days later. But not super Mutants, and not the raider gangs we find in the wastes. More like irradiated wild life and people trying to fight to survive.
I still don't understand how the Master got his body to mutate the way it did around a screen and with an eyestalk coming out of his body. Was it because of his exposure to F.E.V.?
He experimented on himself for years, fusing his body with technology and absorbed beings.... He lost his mind and thought, in his descent into madness, that he had a new purpose of "Unity" that would bring global peace.... it's quite tragic honestly.
on the fallout new vegas lore it was the NCR (New california republic) that got rid of the 2 groups on the new california wasteland. That is why on Fallout NV the most advanced and cultural faction was the NCR with their Capital built on the LA ruins, California

I mean the brotherhood don’t blame technology? They literally don’t trust humanity with it. That’s their creed, not that technology is bad but that humans are shit and don’t deserve it. Their long term plan is so reintroduce it once humanity has learned it’s lessons. Obviously a timetable on that part is ambiguous which has led the BOS to just evolve over time into tech hoarders who don’t care about outsiders mostly.

Fallout 4 kinda fucks the lore in that regard. Fusion cores are new canon, and supposedly the Eastern brotherhood can manufacture both Verti-birds and power armor. Earlier canon has the power armor suits being run on their own internal micro-reactor holding enough fuel for decades of continuous use. There's enough fusion power plants, fusion refueling stations for cars, etc. That fuel really shouldn't be a problem with old lore.
