Came to know Emma through Britains Darkest Taboos. And even though I love the show, I think it’s a disservice to both her character and her expertise. Watching her UA-cam channel really allows her personality and expertise to come across in a way that TV doesn’t allow. She communicates so clearly how we as the general public feel about these horrendous offenders and also showcases her understanding of the psyches of the offenders. So glad you’ve got a UA-cam Emma, you really showcase your expertise and also your emotions and empathy here in a way that isn’t always showcased on the TV shows you do. Sending you love from Birmingham UK
Omg I've just said the near enough the same to her on todays case. Tho I wish that one of the tv networks will see her in her true light, as Emma your caring, show, empathy, show your true feelings, and not afraid to show your disgust at the predators that are in our world, and hurt others. Mxx💖
I love that show so much but completely agree with you as it doesn't give Emma and the others on the show a chance to go into full details I'm guessing due to time and everything
I totally agree I think both wer sexualy abusing her her, both there sentences wer a joke, I have a very good friend who this case reminds me of,long story short her children wee taken 4 emotional neglecte she adored them and eny1 who new her new she did her best but sadly struggled with confidence, anxiety, mental health, she was often took advantage of by people in different ways, she felt like she wanted 2 die her kids wer her life she did everything wat was asked off but constantly set up 2 fel and obstacles constantly put in her way nothing of her well doing was notice and 2 years later she slowly started 2 give up she felt that all she had was took and she was never going 2 get back, she started using drugs and decided to fund it she was going 2 start prostitution the very first time she did it the man she went with had took her to his home which turned out to b s man cave in a big shed sort of thing in his back garden, as chatting to him he's told her how him and his wife wer not actually together and have lived separately for 8 years,he said he was a good man as he lives in his madeup house and let's her have the house as they have loads of children and cos of ther jobs it ment they could not get divorced ,she needed the toilet he said his was blocked and took her into the house to use that 1 while she was going up the stairs she was looking at all the happy family pictures on the wall ,and then started screaming 2 her horror the pictures wer of her children, turns out he was a Foster father and this is wer her children had been 4 the last 2 years, the eife was away with the children while he was talking drugs and engaging in prostitution, and as far as the system new these wer still together and claiming the money 4 Foster children as if still together, she reported it nothing came of it and if that was not bad enuff later down the line it comes out this scumbag pig also sexual abused her 2 daughter's 😢, she fought 4 her kids 4 over 6 yrs ,she only ended up seeing her kids again and having a relationship again was wen they wer old enuff and came 2 find her,all of them remembered her and how she was a good mum doing her best she just need a bit of support, they wer took for emotional abuse and ended up being physically and sexualy abused by those ment to b making a difference with the eell being and care of vonrable children and paid 2 do also and end doing far more worse and shockingly he had previous criminal sexual offences against kids, and never checked out 2 wat was going on in ther home just left to keep getting kids and paid,I feel 4 my friend so much but happy that ther all back together, sorry this poor girl never got the same chance, but she will see her mum again wen that time comes 😢❤
The fact that Ric carried Tia’s coffin makes me sick to my stomach. The fact that the rest of the family sat by and let that happen, the fact that they stood front and centre at that ceremony knowing what they did. My stomach is in knots. I hope these people suffer to their last breaths.
My granddaughter was sextually molested by her step-father. She was the same age as Tiah. He was sentenced to 15 years but was told by the judge that if he attended all his classes and did well in them, he would get out in a year. I was flabbergasted! This was like a slap in the face to my granddaughter and made her feel like the court didn't take her case seriously. Three years later, she is still in therapy and will have to deal with her molestation for the rest of her life. My heart goes out to this beautiful little girl and what she endured in her short life. Thank you, Emma, for covering this case.
That's terrible. Your poor granddaughter. At least she was believed, but the judge badly let her down by not taking the crime seriously. What country do you live in? Sounds like something that would happen in UK (I'm in UK).
Men judges will never understand the repercussions molestation has on a child...boy or girl! They suffer every day with it and may not even realize it. I myself, am a protective mother. My kids stay NOWHERE! You never know the crazy in this world... but what I do know is, it seems to be getting worse instead of better! 💔
I literally feel sick to my stomach that the EVIL MURDERER carried that poor baby's coffin. 😢😢🤢 It's such an insult, to the point of being vomit inducing 🤢🤮🤮
As a victim of sexual abuse myself, seeing these trivial sentences ( if any ) only adds further insult to injury. Especially when it's our money providing them with housing, food, medical, etc. These monsters are never rehabilitated. Why can't they be given a facial tattoo prior to release so that everyone can see and know them for what they truly are
This I weird cos I recently rewatched Game of Thrones and there's a scene in which they discuss tattooing slaves with a symbol on their face so everyone knows what they are. I thought the exact same thing when I saw it - all of the horrendous things we hear was acceptable in the past are still happening regularly now. The justice system and powerful leaders just do a good job of masking it and pretending to condemn it. Tattooing sex offenders is a great idea!
This case makes me cry every time I watch something on it. It’s just heartbreaking and absolutely horrendous 😢I hope Tialeigh has found peace now that escaped her in life 💜
My friend is a foster carer in Ipswich, Qld. She’s worked with the woman who fostered Tialeigh immediately before she went to this appalling placement, so this case is very close to home for me. Tia was let down so very badly, and those selfish bastards have hurt so many good people.
@@sloane4836 Yes, both of them still foster, each caring for siblings with complex disabilities. Fortunately for these kids, they're amazing carers who advocate for their kids' needs. Unlike the scum in this video, these ladies make the kids' lives so much better. But the system itself isn't great.
My "stepfather" abused me and my twin sister for years (5yr till 12yr) he got a 2 yr suspended sentenced. When my little sister was coming up to 3yrs I saw he was repeating (or at least readying himself) to repeat the abuse with her so I pushed him in front of a train and was sentenced to 5 and a half years. I don't regret doing it and I smiled to myself every morning of my prison sentence because I rid the world of 1 monster.
I know this sounds abit weird but you are kind of my hero for doing that 😭 you should of been given an award not jail time, thats public service work in my opinion 😅 I am so sorry for what you went through as a kid by the way 😭💜 I was abused by my grandad and his daughter (my auntie) separately since before I could form memories til I was 7 and 13, my grandad I went through the court system and sadly had to go through proving him guilty as a child as he refused to admit guilt- he got 18 bloody months (reduced to 9 months for "good behaviour" WTF?!) it felt pointless to tell on my aunt after that ordeal I was just terrified to go through everything again, so I chose to watch over my lil brother fiercely until eventually I did tell on her aswell. She never got jail time. It's was like a sick joke, these disgusting monsters should be taken out back and shot, once you harm a child you don't deserve human rights in my opinion... I genuinely hope you are as okay as you can be 💜
@cocomalcom3922 everything you said deeply resonates with me. We are proof that arseholes don't always win and keep us down and subservient. So much love to you❤️
@kellyblondie8415 thanks for the love ❤️ it's a special thing to rise above all the heartbreak and pain. We are all special and wonderful women and at times it doesn't feel that way but we're fighters 💯👏💪
@@aishahussain5045 thank you 🥺 her mum is a wonderful woman!!! Yes she has dependency issues (at the time of death she was on weed and dealt weed to help her look after herself and her other children. She was a good mum by most accounts in my eyes.... I mean obviously this sick fuck of a foster carer wasn't anything decent) everytime I drive around boganville (Logan central/Kingston for the wiin 🙄) I see the RIP sticker, my heart shatters all over again 😭
Disgusting that the son was allowed to go free after 16 months. Hardly a deterrent to other potential child abusers, is it. We should be in the streets protesting when these light sentences are handed out.
Yes I agree with you! I'm Australian and this case disgusts me for the pathetic sentences they received, never mind what they did to that poor girl! Revolting human beings is all I can say. Rest in peace sweet Tia❤ This case, doesn't prevent or deterr other sexual predators doing something similar that is for certain!
In US, and our "justice" system is horrendous in the opposite way---but it seems like every country where judges put on those little wooly white wigs is MUCH too kind to really AWFUL offenders...is it something about the little wigs, I wonder...
EXACTLY. The system is designed to be lenient on child abusers. If you watch loads of these types of videos you'll begin to see a pattern. It's because child abuse is evil and satanic and that's what rules the earth. Everything else is a smoke screen.
Thanks for covering this one,its local to me and was so sad. The sentences here in Australia are a joke , we need to get much tougher on crime especially crimes against children.
So glad Emmas covering this case. I know we'll all be captivated with her deep dive into this crime, and probably learn so much more about it. She not only digs into every detail of these cases, she gives her professional psychological understanding of them too. It's as though we're actually there living through the crime and feeling every emotion. That's a true skill to be able to do that.👍👏👏
Being friends with tiahleigh's mum, it's accurate. I can't begin to explain the pain and suffering we deal with because of this case. Emma did little Palmer justice ❤️
This was right near my home. We were looking out for her based on the false information released by the monster foster family. Absolutely shock and heartbreak when this poor girl was found. What an awful case. Forever in our thoughts ❤
My daughter works for a children's services school, and it's heartbreaking for her to see some of the kids who are fostered in a worse state than when they were living in the homes. There's too many supposed carers who are only in it for the money 💰
@@katiemary8075 I'm friends with tiahleigh's mum. She didn't choose drugs over her child. It's weed. It's not fucking meth. I spent many days crying with the family. This comment is insensitive
@@rachealjohnson9739 I'm sorry for your loss Racheal. It's sickening how people like Katie choose to be ignorant to the fact that having substance abuse issues (even if in this case Tiahleigh's mother was not at all using anything hardcore) doesn't automatically make someone a horrible person/parent. I wish substance abuse was less stigmatized in our society so people who deal with such things are more willing to seek help and services.
@@katiemary8075 No, the birth mother REALIZED her addiction would make her a bad mother, and tried to give her child a better chance. She and Tia are the victims here, don't be cruel
The words you speak, the thoughts you feel, especially when it comes to the interests and safeguarding of children, resonate completely with my own. It must have something to do with being a fellow Mancunian.! Love your channel btw ❤
💜💜💜Emma thank you for covering Tias story ! I am from New Zealand ( where Tias mum is from) but live in Queensland and this was absolutely tragic x RIP TIA 💜💜💜💜 Could you look into another Queensland Case of “Tara Brown” her story is absolutely devastating and a lot of let downs from the police force ! Who are suppose to protect 😢
I don’t know how these b****** can be so callass, that poor little girl just breaks my heart. Cases like these are such a massive trigger for me I just wish the predators could be irradiated from this world & put in a place that’s terrifying like the terror they bestow on their victims. Really upsets me. Thank you Emma ❤💔🤬😢
The message is " you don't matter ", " The law will never protect you", " keep your head down and just survive "... Thank you for telling her story, it's such a shame they did not serve more time! How dare the " mother " say she was a mom and was embarrassed ... She was also a foster mother too, she was supposed to protect all of her children and failed miserably.
I saw this on 60 minutes and I thought the same thing about foster parents doing it for money not for the welfare of kids. One of the texts he sent to his cousin he says they can’t just send her away because his mum needs the money they get for her! But my daughter is 12. I look at her and I think of her being in that position, so innocent, thinking these people love her and she can trust them. My heart is broken for her it really is. Poor girl. Edit: I just got to the end and I think you are on to something with the assault Emma. Is that why he stopped his wife going in to her room? Because she already knew the poor girl was dead, but was she naked?
Hi again Em and other Kennycult devotees!! Thanks for shining a light on this particular case. I’m Australian (Canberra) and I’ve never heard of Tia’s story before. So thank you Em. It’s important we know. Another candle is burning for Tia. I hope she’s free and in care with the angels. ❤
Oh gosh, I don't know how you didn't hear about this story. It was all over the media, sometimes every day for months after she went missing as the investigation was progressing and her biological family was fighting for answers, then when the news broke that it was actually the foster family etc. I found it really difficult to cope with at the time and felt like I couldn't get away from this story
I'm from Australia . My close friend has been a foster carer for many years. She is a single mum of 1 herself and was a victim of child abuse/SA as a youngster, mainly fueled by her biological mother. She had such an awful childhood and a hard life growing up that she decided that she could offer a safe haven for those kids in need of stability and understanding. She also had horses all her life and, till this day, works with and rehabilitates horses and ponies and help them find forever homes. As she had these animals around her, she helped a LOT of kids in her care heal and find the love and basic care that they required, as through working with the animals, they began to heal from past hurts. I think she did super well, especially as she is already a struggling single mother of 1 daughter. She didn't have a lot byt she had enough to ensure another child could live safely and securely under her roof and always have someone to talk to. She also made it clear that she is who she is and is a no frills type of person who will ensure the kids in her care will have farm duties as well as school and so forth. But she never tried to portray that she is any kind of saint or miss goody goody. She was bluntly honest on who she is and what she's about to the foster care community. There were no swimming pools, etc. Just a small working farm. It's the ones who come of holier than thou and so forth that worry me the most, as they at times can seem sinister IMO. I admire those who take in children in need and do right by them and give them the best possible life. To hear this story is heart breaking. As we have all heard at least one situation where foster didn't go as planned. But this story is just plain sad. I know many other genuinely great foster carers who also contribute to the local community around them. To all those who foster children, give them the best they can and provide for them and give them stability. We thank you. For those who see it as a paycheck or a way to exploit children, you are scum. Especially those who look away when they know things happening are wrong. You're nothing but a coward and an abhorrent human. And this husband was definitely unhinged and shouldn't have even been able to even apply to foster, let alone have a foster. Sidenote: DHHS in Australia is run very thin at times and as Australia is such a large country with a lot of semi rural, rural, regional and country/dessert areas, there aren't enough resources within the DHHS to be able to give 100% to every single situation they're presented with and that's due to government cut backs and so forth. But, by no means am I defending them. As if i was a case worker and noted this child repeatedly running away, my red flags would be waving hard and fast in my face. Just the running away alone is monumental in indication that something isn't quite right. But unfortunately, case workers don't always remain the same and people's case notes aren't always clear or information isn't passed onto the the next worker as it should be in cases. Is the system flawed?, yes, at times. But I can see both sides and I'm by no means saying it's ok. The workers in this foster case should have seen the signs a way lot earlier. However, HOW on earth the DHHS let a child be placed into care with a convicted person of anything, is beyond comprehension. DHHS dropped the ball BIG TIME, with this child. They're not allowed to place children into care with anybody who has a record whatsoever. Even traffic violations can affect your foster applications. WTF DHHS?!
I'm from the States but I remember this case. And it's heartbreaking for this poor girl. Just aweful! Her life was in turmoil from start to finish! So happy to have Emma giving us the Deep Dive Details of the case! We all know she is one that will do it Justice and do the best for Tiahleigh! May she RIP! Beautiful Angel!!!
Hi Emma! Thank you for your amazing videos that raise so much awareness. I enjoy listening to your content as it fascinates, and also scares me at times. I’m very unwell at the moment battling multiple severe chronic illnesses and your videos help me get through the hardest parts of the day. Thank you so much and I appreciate your dedication to what you do. I was hoping to come to your tour but I’ve been so unwell and travelling in a wheelchair is taxing enough when I’m well. Thank you! Also my nurse has started watching your content too! She watched a couple videos with me and now she’s binging them in her free time 😂!! ❤
As always you have gave this poor little girl some worth , absolutely mind bending how this family could disregard a life , should have all got life because Tia lost hers 😔
Always love your compassion and empathy for the victim Emma. Especially the children. What I wouldn’t give to give a little girl like this a loving home and the support needed to live her best life despite her unfortunate circumstances. It’s so heartbreaking. How a child could be put in a convicted sexual offender’s house is beyond me.
I have watched this documentary myself . Can’t believe it hasn’t come into play that the father did this as he could gage potentially been the father and I agree she was probably running away to escape him . Another truly deep dive and room for thought. Thanks Emma x
Hi Emma thank you,I was wondering how that family was allowed foster care,if he had other disgusting charges, my heart goes out to that beautiful little girl❤❤ I'm from New zealand, absolutely hideous ,punishment for them should be,never see the light of day ever.
So surreal seeing you cover this case! I’m a Brisbane local and started working at crime stoppers QLD just before the arrests were made, so it’s very close to home for me ❤
Thank You for your continual empathy for the victim and their loved ones❣️16 friggin months?!?!? 😡 People serve longer than that for cannabis charges. Absolutely ridiculous and sends a horrid message to other victims.
Her mum my friend lost her because at that very particular time she was smoking and selling weed to close family/friends to support her and her family.
@@Stef_Turtle thank you 🥺 Ms Palmer has always felt responsible for what happened. Even though she did the work and thought her daughter was living a good, safe life. She thought she was doing the right thing, giving her the life she couldn't. If she knew, she would of gone and fight the courts to get her back 💔
@@rachealjohnson9739 That is heartbreaking for both her and her daughter, as they both suffered. The shameful fact is that that dude should have never been approved to be a foster parent, and her Mom should have been able to rely on them being carefully screened. Seems like they always take kids away from good families for minor things, and let other families keep children that are horribly abused and keep them to torture until it’s too late.
@@Stef_Turtle that's exactly it!!! Oh no weed! Take the children! The vulnerability of Tialeigh is heart wrenching and, as ever, Emma manages to say everything that needs saying. Amazing lady. Thank you for being our voice and delivering in such an articulate, heartfelt way Emma ❤️ RIP Tia ❤️❤️❤️
I live in Logan and within a kilometre of Marsden HS and remember vividly when this case was happening. I still see cars in the area with remembrance sentiment stickers dedicated to this little girl. Thank you for covering this story so well.
Poor Tialeigh, she was probably suffering from a stomach bug or possibly experiencing her first period cramps and these heartless bastards murdered her for nothing 🥺
@justus101 Exactly, there was no mention of a pregnancy or anything, I don’t even think she was pregnant to begin with because I’m sure Emma would have mentioned it and, that evil family murder stole her whole future for what ?! 🥺🥺🥺
This was so so sad, those people took advantage of the system for years and then ended that poor girls life. She had so much potential. I hope Tiahleigh is happy where ever she is, I also feel for her mum, yes she had to give her up for a little while but it was only so she could make a safe environment for her first. She trusted the system and got letdown, heartbreaking.
I dont know how that foster mother can lay her head down at night. She had a responsibility to turn her son in for taking advantage of that child and an even bigger responsibility to turn her husband in for murdering her. She is just as guilty.
I’ll never forget this case, especially as a Queenslander. Boils my blood. Who in their right mind sides with a child molester even if they’re their kid! Sorry but if someone crosses that line all bets should be off. 🤬
Honestly feel like the father also abused this poor child, i just feel it in my gut after looking into this case extensively, anyone who sides with a pedo is either one themselves and empathises with them, or they are straight up evil in another way, I get always loving your children but I couldn't even look at my kid if it ever came out they were a pedophile let alone protect them?! It's one of those crimes that is unforgivable and you at least know the person needs to be locked up. Horrible family. Cannot believe that dad had sexual assault charges and was allowed to foster a little girl, what checks did they do that allowed that?!
I just read an update they now live in Springfield, just outside of Brisbane. Rick has tried to take his own life 3 times, with no success. I would hope he would get what Brett Cowan (Daniel Morcombe’s killer) got while he has been in jail.
This is beyond dispicable. And as you say, so preventable. And how the hell was he allowed to foster and have a business looking after young children when his history could so easily have been unearthed. Tia was such a beautiful girl, with a future wiped out by a complete t**t. Rest easy beautiful Tia and will be praying for the biological family. Thanks Em, your presentation as always was heartfelt, respectable and beautiful xx
I can’t even imagine the whole knock on effect of her murder, I am thinking how traumatising it will be for the parents of the children who attended their day care. You’d be having nightmares forever wondering what if
This happened near where I lived at the time and it was truly heinous and awful. It was absolutely devastating to hear about the case through the media and all the outcomes from it. Her poor mum was fighting so hard for her, she was so loved and absolutely did not deserve what happened to her 😢
I love the emotion you feel and show to us. You behave how we feel, how we all feel. That 18 year old abuser will surely go and abuse others because he basically got away with it. As far as his father is concerned, the apple does not fall far from the tree and this 18yr old get it from him. Poor baby 😢
OMG I nearly didn't watch this episode because of the disgust I feel at what happened to Tia! Everyone in Australia hates this family of monsters & the sentences are pathetic 😡
I think you are right about Rick abusing Tia. She would not have run away so often without a good reason. How disgusting that a man with a sexual abusive past should be able to foster. Where are the checks with this? The sentences for these cases are absolutely ludicrous. How must her biological mother be feeling ❤
Hey Em 😁 Thank you for last night. The great big hug and boosting my son's confidence. I admit I totally "fangirled" I own it hahahaha.. Thank you for coming to N.I and visiting us hallions lol x
Why do social services even think it is appropriate for a child to be sent to a foster family where the father has a known history of violence and sex offences!! And where a twelve year old girl is housed with two much older teenaged boys? In these situations, I always think that there are SO many people who fail vulnerable children like Tiah. I wish there were more safeguards put into place when screening potential foster parents. It is beyond tragic that this beautiful child lost her life. Rest in Peace Tiahleigh xx
Yes I too live 20mins from where this horror took place. Thank you for covering this one Emma. I will watch when I get home after work. Will be too distressing before work as much as I want to see it.

Im a Australian and I i remember this xase well. Your so right about the pathetic sentences they received Emma! Totally absurd, after all the hard work of the police force to get the murderer and all involved. It leaves the door wide open for other sexual predators to do similar thinking yeah I can do the crime and be out in less than 2years! Its so ridiculous that poor girl was treated so badly and the law just slaps the back of their hand so to speak...
I know this one very well and it makes me sick to my stomach. You have an entire family of liars and perverts and this is this family that sweet child was placed in. No way on earth should she have been placed in a home with teenage boys, it's outrageous.
Hi Jeanette 🥰 I agree. This family are diabolical. Their reputation was more important than that poor little girls life, as far as they were concerned. It's hard to wrap your head around such evil.
I’m a foster mom and we had to jump through hoops before placement. My adult son also. He had to be monitored and had to go through the entire screening process just like us, and he was moving out the very next month!
I agree with you on all counts except for not being put in a home with teenage boys. I have two boys and I think this whole family is sick! I like to think that my boys would of treated her like a sister if I was a foster home!
Your channel is amazing emma you are so brave to look up these awful and horrifying cases but it brings so much justice to the victims and their families I found your channel only a month ago and I'm hooked now I love watching and listening to your new videos on Wednesdays and Sundays
To me, I have explored into crime and it never ceases to amaze me how on earth when screening these people to become foster parents ect… how having a criminal record for committing sexual abuse on any level in the past, they still get cleared as fit to be foster parents!! Nearly every time we all hear of these kind of crimes nowadays , it’s because child services , DBS checks, CRB checks and the people who are the ones who claim to thoroughly check these people out including social workers . How many adults, vulnerable people/children need to die before realising their system is “SHIT” and not good enough. It needs a total over haul as sexual predators are going to keep coming but we need a system to tackle all issues to how they even get close to the victims , sentences need to be tougher! Sexual education needs to be taught in schools of what is right and wrong and social services just needs to stop and bring in a system that does not keep one stone unturned!!! Maybe then there will be less crimes like the one above for example -Happen. And one thing I will never agree upon, as someone who has worked in High secure MH hospitals and qualified in rehabilitation of violence and aggression , Rape and sexual abuse is a crime , not an ILLNESS!!! Because everyone knows it’s wrong but for sexual predators “ that’s what they like” forbidden fruit!! And just 1 example , A porn addict is ill, and needs treatment , but they don’t “ALL” go out and commit sexual abuse !!! It’s about time this situation gets resolved/fixed so we have a better chance of stopping these crimes recurring and protecting the chances of these crimes a lot more !!!
Omg this case happened in my hometown of Brisbane Queensland Australia. Thank u Emma for honouring Tia and Cindy this case is absolutely disgusting and shocked Australia. Shine brightly Tia fly high angel x
One of those cases that made me verbalise ‘oh shit, I remember this one’ and turned my stomach as soon as foster care was mentioned. Thanks for doing this case justice Emma.
Emma, you are looking devastating at the moment. You always do, but you have hit the apex of Emma Kenny at this time. (Anyone who does not appreciate my appreciation of peak Emma Kenny is entitled to their view.)
I hate the court system The sentencing is like a holiday away from home It should be a life for a life. Child killers/molesters should be given life without parole

How on earth did the foster system miss that they were placing a child with a predator who had previous sexual offences?!! AND they had a day care! What happened the vetting system???? If Rick could so heartlessly killed Tia, I would wonder if he had done anything else to her over the time she stayed with them, given his history- oh you say the same at the end lol. It took 6 days before she was recorded as a missing person for a 12 year old! - That's so wrong. Seeing that monster carrying her coffin and knowing Trent was also there makes my blood boil.
I was in the foster care system from the age of 1 to the age of 18yrs. In both foster homes there was bullying and physical abuse. You go from an abused family to more abuse. I reported one of the foster care people because I refused to go back when I heard this particular persons name. I was in the back of my social workers car screaming and kicking to get out. I told her because my social worker knew this was unlike me. It’s a horrible thought to know that this probably still happens today. Poor girl, my heart hurts for her 😢❤
Tia got her wings and a little Angel was born she was given the role to look after babies and children, who were too poorly to stay. Tias role to hold their hands and play with them as together they cross over and pass through the veil.
As a criminal lawyer in Australia, I too am disgusted in the abysmal sentences these perpetrators received. Justice has not been served, and unfortunately it rarely is with our pathetic excuse of a justice system. More needs to be done, all too often.
I live in Queensland and this case was sickening and still remembered. The sentences here are disgraceful for these kinds of sentences. It's makes the average person here really angry and we don't agree with the lenient sentences for these kinds of dispicable individuals.
Sadly I think there’s no way he will serve his full sentence, our justice system is pathetic and we seem to love releasing people early. karen ristevski’s case is a prime example of how pathetic the system is here for sentencing
I totally agree with you the length of prison time, it is disgusting. O. One hand we are asking victims of sex crimes to speak out and then this happens. It's an insult. I would also ask how many other people young girls have been abused by this monster. Plus you don't just have an argument One day and kill you clearly have done this before. Very well covered as always. Love your channel
Also, rest in peace to Tia, an Angel gone far too soon.
I haven't watched Emma's tv shows but I agree with you about her empathetic personality and insight into offenders' psyche
One angry-father-God theory is that He permits evil in order to sort out who should live on earth forever, and who should be vaporized....
I have serious questions for judges who go easy on these scumbags.
I’m so sorry my heart goes out to your granddaughter and your family xxx
😢😢😢
Why can't they be given a facial tattoo prior to release so that everyone can see and know them for what they truly are
Weird you should say that watch Bailey Sarian's dark history
Seems like they're getting lighter & lighter.
Much Love ❤️
....and some surgery on their nether regions, if they're going to be put back among us
This I weird cos I recently rewatched Game of Thrones and there's a scene in which they discuss tattooing slaves with a symbol on their face so everyone knows what they are.
Tia was let down so very badly, and those selfish bastards have hurt so many good people.
it was just horrendous . My parents were foster parents when I was a teenager. Does your friend still foster?
@@sloane4836 Yes, both of them still foster, each caring for siblings with complex disabilities. Fortunately for these kids, they're amazing carers who advocate for their kids' needs. Unlike the scum in this video, these ladies make the kids' lives so much better. But the system itself isn't great.
@@digigalbytes2445 I wish them, and you the very best. Hopefully the system will improve and filter out people like these .
I genuinely hope you are as okay as you can be 💜
I know it’s an odd comment to make but thank you for getting rid of an abuser and peadophile - sending you all love xx
What an absolute legend . You deserve more than this world can give !
I wish all children could have safe homes full of nothing but positivity and love 💔
Tia's birth mother tried to give her that, when she realized she couldn't.
Im from Victoria, Australia and this case was devastating. Thankyou so much for covering it. May that awful family rot forever.

I am friends with tiahleigh's mum 😢😢 I cry everytime I see her case 💔💔💔💔💔
@@rachealjohnson9739 oh no I'm sorry☹ beautiful precious little girl may her soul rest in paradise😔💔 🤲
@@aishahussain5045 thank you 🥺 her mum is a wonderful woman!!! Yes she has dependency issues (at the time of death she was on weed and dealt weed to help her look after herself and her other children. She was a good mum by most accounts in my eyes.... Disgusting that the son was allowed to go free after 16 months. Hardly a deterrent to other potential child abusers, is it. We should be in the streets protesting when these light sentences are handed out.
Deterrent, you say?
Yes I agree with you! I'm Australian and this case disgusts me for the pathetic sentences they received, never mind what they did to that poor girl! Revolting human beings is all I can say. Rest in peace sweet Tia❤
This case, doesn't prevent or deterr other sexual predators doing something similar that is for certain!
This family🤢 I feel like anyone who harms a child in any way should get put away and never let out!!!
My daughter works for a children's services school, and it's heartbreaking for her to see some of the kids who are fostered in a worse state than when they were living in the homes. There's too many supposed carers who are only in it for the money 💰
I can’t imagine the guilt Tia’s mother must be feeling…💔
I hope she knows this wasn’t her fault. Her child should’ve been safe 💔
She unfortunately blamed herself for SO SO long and we always had to remind her that it wasn't her fault. That she had no idea
She chose drugs over her child, it was partly her fault.

I know this case so well but when Emma does it, it somehow brings it even closer to home. Top girl, Em.

Could you look into another Queensland Case of “Tara Brown” her story is absolutely devastating and a lot of let downs from the police force ! Who are suppose to protect 😢
Such a sad story absolutely sickening, I love your passion Emma and hang on to every word you say ,brilliant thank you xx
I live in the Logan Area, and Tiahleigh’s name has never been forgotten. Thanks for covering this case Emma! Xx Kire and Tuli
Poor girl.
Edit:
I just got to the end and I think you are on to something with the assault Emma. Is that why he stopped his wife going in to her room? Because she already knew the poor girl was dead, but was she naked?
I saw these texts too - they were definitely doing it for the money not because they genuinely cared about kids. It's so sad.
What a horrid horrid bunch 🤢 how the hell did they get to look after children 🤬🤬 disgraceful. Thank you Emma, great channel x
WTF DHHS?!
Met Emma last night after her show in Belfast, she's so lovely. Great show.

I was born and raised in QLD. Thank you for covering this terrible crime with your in-depth analysis and compassion 🙏🏻💖
I have watched this documentary myself . Can’t believe it hasn’t come into play that the father did this as he could gage potentially been the father and I agree she was probably running away to escape him . Another truly deep dive and room for thought. Thanks Emma x
She was never actually pregnant - the coroner's report confirms this. You can read it online.

I was wondering about that,as the autopsy report never said anything about a pregnancy.
I was thinking the same was she actually pregnant or not??? I thought I might have missed something.
I also wonder if its possible the father was also molesting her and that's why he reacted the way he did because it may have been his!
@justus101 Exactly, there was no mention of a pregnancy or anything, I don’t even think she was pregnant to begin with because I’m sure Emma would have mentioned it and, that evil family murder stole her whole future for what ?! 🥺🥺🥺
@@babyboyz100 He probably was that’s probably one of the reasons why she kept running away 😢
She is just as guilty.
my heart hurts for tia so badly. this is so depressing and so disturbing.
Thank you Emma for another case review 💛🙌🫶🏻
Poor baby 😢
Another amazing deep dive! Thank you ❤
Thank you! Runaways need to be searched for. They're vulnerable children out there walking around on their own like live bait for predators!

I think you are right about Rick abusing Tia. She would not have run away so often without a good reason. How disgusting that a man with a sexual abusive past should be able to foster. Where are the checks with this? The sentences for these cases are absolutely ludicrous. How must her biological mother be feeling ❤
This! I genuinely believe Rick was sexually abusing that poor girl too, what a vile piece of human rubbish! Like father like son 🤢🤮
So sad that both the father and son were abusing her. Disgusting vile things - apple doesnt fall far from the awful family tree.
Harrowing and despicable. That beautiful, beautiful girl ripped away from this world by such evil. 💔

I was there too and Emma, you were fantastic. Really really enjoyed the show, I hope you enjoyed Belfast 😊

I live about 20 mins from where this happened. Such an absolute tragedy, those people are monsters she was just a little girl being sexually assaulted by who knows really how many of them. Logan area is a really shitty, drug filled criminal place. It’s a joke about Logan area when someone is really Fkd up and crazy. RIP beautiful girl, you are now free from all of these feral despicable creatures.
I am friends with tiahleigh's mum. I am still heartbroken 💔
Not all of Logan is a
sh!tty area. I've lived in Woodridge and Creastmead, my daughters went to the same high school as Tia..
Woodridge is worse than Creastmead..just sayin.
@@finni-h2x lol I know 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣 I grew up right next to Kingston traino 😂 I'm currently in loganlea 💀💀💀💀💀💀💀💀💀💀 I'm working in child safe guarding while studying psychology at Australian college of applied psychology and unfortunately this area is struggling so badly with abuse, SA and drug addiction (I'm 23 months clean off oxy pills myself!) So I see Logan in all its entirety. It's good and the bad 😔
Stereotypes like this don’t help! Lots of decent people living here thank you very much!!!
@@lyricmelodysheenan we know there are *but* you can't deny statistics. It's between a very low-low income area, high rates of crime, drug addiction, homelessness.
I've been in the bottom latter. Bed hopping, addicted to oxy, eating 200mg of Oxycodone pills a *DAY* but on the flip side, I'm now almost a criminology and psychology student graduate. I now work safe guarding kids and help victims (like myself in the past) of DV and drug addiction.
I love many things about Logan ❤️ I've traveled all around Qld and yet I always end up back near my upbringing, good old Kingston ❤️ 4114 REP 🤣 (God I felt old saying that at just then at 29 lol) but we do have to acknowledge that we have one of the highest time and homeless rates. It's just unfortunately the way it is (which is partly why I am still here working, making my home town a better place for others by working as a public psychologist and not going private charging 200+ for 50 mins ❤️)
Thankyou for covering this 🇦🇺
I know this one very well and it makes me sick to my stomach.
@@theresarasche3173 I have two boys also, and it's a chance I am not prepared to take.
Rest in Peace Beautiful Tia ♥️🕊️
My sympathy to her family and friends. What a horrifying and heartbreaking case.
There’s so much of this case you brought out! Stuff I’ve never heard!
Thank you Emma!
Nice one Emma, never heard of this one before. 😢 you are so lovely... keep doing what you do, beautiful lady !! Love ya
❤ xxxx
Me and my mother love watching your true life crime stories thank you for making them
One of the few times a story brought me to tears 😢 🙏💔
Your channel is amazing emma you are so brave to look up these awful and horrifying cases but it brings so much justice to the victims and their families I found your channel only a month ago and I'm hooked now I love watching and listening to your new videos on Wednesdays and Sundays
Congratulations on 190K Emma xx
Havent watched in some time due to mh and life missed everyone here so much. Hopefully get to meet some of you in Bournemouth on Sunday
This was a huge case here in Australia, still spoken about now. Our department of children’s services is not the best.
Thankyou for covering this one, was in my home town
Great channel Emma you are best most compassionate on her
What a heartbreaking TRUE story.
Wow this was close to you x
You still going to be in Bournemouth Sunday
@@stacey6887 absolutely my love
@Allyson O'Connell it will be amazing to meet everyone I can't believe it's finally here
One of those cases that made me verbalise ‘oh shit, I remember this one’ and turned my stomach as soon as foster care was mentioned. Thanks for doing this case justice Emma.
Emma, you are looking devastating at the moment.
You always do, but you have hit the apex of Emma Kenny at this time.
(Anyone who does not appreciate my appreciation of peak Emma Kenny is entitled to their view.)
Great job as usual Emma! Miss the live chat though. Thanks so much xxxxx
I hate the court system The sentencing is like a holiday away from home It should be a life for a life. Child killers/molesters should be given life without parole
Thank you your channel is the absolute best and onley yours I can binj on for hours on end and never get fed up for years I've watched you I hope I can come to one of your live shows 💖
How on earth did the foster system miss that they were placing a child with a predator who had previous sexual offences?!!
R.I.P. Tiahleigh 😔😢😔
Poor girl, my heart hurts for her 😢❤
Great video once again ❤️🙏 I don’t always comment but I love your channel mate 😊
Omg the poor girl, aww sweetheart the thought of this wee girl last minute's on earth frightening, wee darling
Just found out tonight that you are coming to Norwich with your 'Serial Killer Next Door ' tour on September 4, 2023! I am soooo excited xx
Sadly I think there’s no way he will serve his full sentence, our justice system is pathetic and we seem to love releasing people early. karen ristevski’s case is a prime example of how pathetic the system is here for sentencing
I’m in Logan, even have kids at Marsden, and this little one is not forgotten. ❤❤❤
