Breeding is not the optimal way of getting a better horse, it's really only good if you have two decent horses that you don't want to risk being killed and so you can breed a foal with decent chance of getting the parents stats. You are better off exploring and hoping for RNG Jesus to bless you with a very good stat horse. I'd also say that jump height is better then speed as a horse with a bad jump will get stuck on everything regardless of speed.
You forgot to add the riding stats (horse height/width + rider height/width). Horses are 2 blocks tall, 2 blocks long, and 2 blocks wide. Riders are 2 blocks tall, 1 block wide, and 1 block long. Horse + rider = *3* blocks tall, 2 blocks wide, and 2 blocks long. IF your ridden horse REARS UP, then horse + rider = *4* blocks tall, 2 blocks wide, and 2 blocks long. Stables for horses should include stalls that measure 5 blocks tall inside, and 4 x 4 blocks wide inside, with 2 gates together for the entrance at a MINIMUM-these measurements allow you to ride into the stall WITHOUT hitting your head and taking damage, and to dismount inside the stall WITHOUT taking damage from a wall or fence. My 5 block tall stalls typically range from 6 x 6 (with a shallow 2x2 center water pool to wade in), and can have 2 horses-up to 10 x 10 (also with shallow 2x2 center water pool to wade in), and can have 4 horses. Use sand or wood planks or cobble stone or brick blocks to floor the stalls to stop random animal mobs from spawning into the stalls and killing your horses.🙂

I have a question u seem to already have a video explaining. One stop shoo for all your minecraft needs. Im interested to see your new videos with the new updates coming up. On console bedrock I can’t feed my horse after it’s been tamed... so I can’t breed them? Also I can’t dye leather armor. Let me know if anyone knows why! Thanks. By the way, your videos carry me through MC as a returning player. You’re Awesome!!
The way I do it is I set up a stretch of flat land with a start and end line, then I use the stopwatch on my phone to time how long it takes to ride from start to finish. I do it a couple of times for each horse to get a better sample size, the horse with average faster finishing times would be the fastest.
Bedrock edition is SOOO so different. Differences I noticed Horses will only flail if you try to ride them while holding a saddle. Leather horse armor can only be dyed in a cauldron. No ability to push 'control' horses will remain in 'control ' state while riding them. While mining on a horse in survival mode the amount of time to mine a block is significantly increased, higher amounts of time to mine a block than underwater. Horses take No fall damage from any height, players wont take any fall damage either while riding a horse. Horse statistics are affected by potions enabling faster and faster horses to be born. Horses taking damage with a secret half heart is noticeable when horses are struck by players or arrows but no damage is taken from fall damage, damage animation is not present. Only tamed horses can be bred. Horses that are breed and are tamed the baby horse will not be tamed and will need to be tamed once its grown up. Horses that are in water 2 blocks deep or deeper are ride able without a sattle equipped to the horse but once the sattle is equipped and in deep enough water the horse and player will start to sink. Horses are able to ride in boats(passenger style). Lastly horses that are tamed will not despawn if left roaming. These are the things I noticed that are different from Java to Bedrock edition.
Not sure about Java edition, but in a super recent update, baby horses can now inherit the best stats of their parents (I think I worded that right), so you can essentially get the best horse by breeding two good horses, breeding the great babies, then breed the best babies, and boom you have a god horse.
i can't seem to find this info anywhere but would you happen to know how much slower horses are when they're walking backwards? they're clearly slower than when they're moving forward but i can't figure out by how much.
funnily enough i just found a skeleton horse in my world which have a bit different characteristics than normal horses i'm surprised they weren't covered here lol
I was wondering about the horse speed, and then you mentioned that horses have stats. My horse was tamed after a single riding. When I ride my horse through my plowed lands, my game loses so many frames per second because of how fast I am going. It’s faster than using the elytra and boat. Plus; my horse is black coated with white spots
what about put only a saddle without horse armor in those two slots, can you still ride them ? because i had only the saddle without armor and the horse literally doesnt could start running, rather walk the same way his own way like before i tamed him...
That all great info, but I was hoping you’d touch on skeleton horses as well. I found one once and brought it home, but it’s just been living in a pen while I figure out what to do with it. How do you take them, they don’t seem to want to eat.
They're exactly the same as normal horses but they can ride underwater (if you have water breathing of course). If you're on Java, you need a saddle, if you're on Bedrock, you can ride them straight away.
Hey guys, I think I encountered a bug. I was breeding horses and found one that seemed to have an hp of 26. Then I saved and quit and it said it had 28 hp. Then I hit it to check and it had 26 again. Then I hit it again and it stayed at 26. I hit it again 2 more times and it stayed at 26 hp. I hit it again and it finally lowered the hp to 25. So how much hp does he have? 26? 28? 27?
These numbers need to change, it takes way to long to breed a good horse. Cause any wild horse isn't good. They easily get replaced by other transportation methods, it's like they don't want people to ride them with how tedious they make one of the worst transport methods in Minecraft.
First! Pin me pls

funnily enough i just found a skeleton horse in my world which have a bit different characteristics than normal horses i'm surprised they weren't covered here lol
The best thing about horses is that you can breed them with a donkey and get yourself a mule...which is actually the best mob for transportation.
How about a tutorial on donkey's and mules?
I was wondering about the horse speed, and then you mentioned that horses have stats. My horse was tamed after a single riding. When I ride my horse through my plowed lands, my game loses so many frames per second because of how fast I am going. It’s faster than using the elytra and boat. Plus; my horse is black coated with white spots
Thanks
With 1.19.4 the fast horse mechanism is changed
what about put only a saddle without horse armor in those two slots, can you still ride them ?
because i had only the saddle without armor and the horse literally doesnt could start running, rather walk the same way his own way like before i tamed him...
You can also put the horse in a boat to move across huge oceans
That only works in bedrock you can even ride your horse while in a boat BUT ITS ONLY ON BEDROCK
Skeleton horse guide plz
If you feed a horse food to force it to grow up into an adult, and then tame it, did you just make that horse submissive and breedable?
Good one
That all great info, but I was hoping you’d touch on skeleton horses as well.
I found one once and brought it home, but it’s just been living in a pen while I figure out what to do with it.
How do you take them, they don’t seem to want to eat.
They're exactly the same as normal horses but they can ride underwater (if you have water breathing of course). If you're on Java, you need a saddle, if you're on Bedrock, you can ride them straight away.
nice
Recently beat Minecraft only while riding horses. Called it my Comanche any percent speedrun
Thank you for doing a video on horses, not that useful but just because of the fun of it.
When will uou do the tutorial with the new horse breeding metod?
if you put jump boost on the parents and swiftness potions even though theyll exprie theyll pass it on to the baby permentaly
I’m trying to get the most optimal steed to get myself to the world border.
This'll probably have to be updated when 1.20 releases since it changes how stats are passed down when breeding
