Megumin is a great character who is a perfect fit for the party of misfit goofballs that is Kazuma's party. She is just too adorable and lovable that you can't dislike her for her stubbornness. She's perfect just as she is. And her and Kazuma are too cute together. Kazumin for life!

They argue, which somehow escalates to them arguing in her parents' home, something like this: "If you want me to @#$% you that badly then I will! Right here!" "Then stop talking and do it!" "Fine, I will!" *EXPLOSION* happens outside, followed by sirens "SEE!?" "...Maybe you should have Aqua purify you again"

Honestly Loading Crew needs to do more video game characters. And especially the older games like Crash Bandicoot. Their alignments are either straightforward or, in the case of Cortex, very interesting and varied.

Sure, Explosion is hellishly powerful, but the fact that it's the only spell she will ever allow herself to use and that she can only use it once (twice later on, with Aqua's help) leaves her incredibly limited in what she can bring to the table for proper quests and bounties. It doesn't help she's often bratty and selfish, exemplified perfectly when she forced Kazuma under threat of public shaming to let her stay in his party. That said, she has her moments, just as every member of the party does, to prove that when she actually gets her head into the right space, she can do some amazing things. And her limitations are, of course, part of what makes her character fun, especially as she sees it as an art and bonds through it at the same time that it causes problems. That said, Megumin isn't, of course, actually useless. The girl is a walking, talking Hail Mary. It's simply that someone ultimately has to be the the least useful or contributive member of the party, and the runner up is likely Darkness due to her lacking accuracy and her M kink getting in her way.
Megumin is the definition of a niche. She has one thing she can do, and she does it only once a day and is KO'd for the rest of the day. But the party would NEVER have been able to take out the big bads of the series without her Explosion magic. Having a niche does not make something useless.

I actually made a homebrewed Pathfinder 1e archetype for wizard, sorcerer, and arcanist that replicates Megumin, right down to the fainting after using a spell gimmick. My parties requested one, so I had to make it work.
Having read the Light Novels and looking at the Spring season synopsis, it looks like they're going to be going over the events of the movie again, before moving on to the next real arc. If they manage to get through Volume 6 and 7, you're in for some really funny stuff.

She was a complete lunatic by design, and while Fireball wasn't her entire personality, it was pretty much the only battle plan I had, so I was *completely useless* against anything that was anti-fire, because my dumbass took no other combat spells. I have felt Megumin's pain and respect the commitment to the bit.

All right, I got no smooth transition here (yesterday would have been better but I was tired, warrior in white and all that). The assassin's creed games and their protagonists have always been difficult for me to pin down, especially on the lawful-chaotic scale. On one hand, they follow a strict creed that guides their actions, and on the other hand, they are rebellious against those who would abuse their power often leading revolutions. I'd love to see a dnd alignment for James Sunderland from Silent Hill 2 as he is a really complicated and complex character throughout the game, being selfless and selfish all at once. It also falls heavily on interpretation too, as well as how you play through the game. That being said the endings of the game might complicate the final results a little but I'd love to see your interpretation on his character!

There are 3 in the light novels Blast the weakest and commonly used by mages in mining applications. Basically magic dynamite. Detonate the second strongest and widely regarded as the most powerful combat spell with practical use. Explosion the most powerful but so impractical to use only mages who are ridiculously strong and have no other spells left to learn like Wiz or you know nut jobs with wierd obsessions bother with it

I feel like a group of people joining together as a party to make money by saving people isnt necessarily lawful good. Megumins actions when acting alone are constantly chaotic neutral or good. And while working together with the others when in a group then too she also often just uses explosion magic at bad times. If just being part of a party that completes requests would make you lawful there wouldnt be any other alignments for player characters in D&D. Imo Megumin is Chaotic Good.
Actually, he doesn't wait exactly. He waitED until she was 14 (or 15 I don't remember) before he started to sexually harass her the way he does with the others, sticking to "step back, jailbait" until then. After she confessed and he accepted though, they make several failed attempts. At one point she complains that he hasn't and he tells her that every time he tries something interrupts them. He'd had Aqua cast strong dispels on him repeatedly in case it was a curse to no avail. As had happened several times before, the two argue, which leads to escalating bluffs and challenges until she's demanding he do her and he's saying fine I will, and then there's a huge explosion outside and he's just like "see!?" while she tells him to have Aqua try a stronger Dispel.
Come on, Stuart, you got to give it your all from the bottom of the corpse of your forfeited dignity! Here, I'll try it with you! "Denizens of the wretched abyss, blacker than black and darker than dark, I beseech thine aid. All right, I got no smooth transition here (yesterday would have been better but I was tired, warrior in white and all that). The assassin's creed games and their protagonists have always been difficult for me to pin down, especially on the lawful-chaotic scale. On one hand, they follow a strict creed that guides their actions, and on the other hand, they are rebellious against those who would abuse their power often leading revolutions. I'd love to see a dnd alignment for James Sunderland from Silent Hill 2 as he is a really complicated and complex character throughout the game, being selfless and selfish all at once. It also falls heavily on interpretation too, as well as how you play through the game.
That being said the endings of the game might complicate the final results a little but I'd love to see your interpretation on his character!

talking about Isekai and Quartet, It would be VERY interesting if you could do one of these on Ainz from Overlord and Tanya from Saga of evil Tanya, they have quite a few of "interesting" moral choices.

Explosion the most powerful but so impractical to use only mages who are ridiculously strong and have no other spells left to learn like Wiz or you know nut jobs with wierd obsessions bother with it

I feel like a group of people joining together as a party to make money by saving people isnt necessarily lawful good. Megumins actions when acting alone are constantly chaotic neutral or good. And while working together with the others when in a group then too she also often just uses explosion magic at bad times. If just being part of a party that completes requests would make you lawful there wouldnt be any other alignments for player characters in D&D. Imo Megumin is Chaotic Good.
Actually, he doesn't wait exactly. He waitED until she was 14 (or 15 I don't remember) before he started to sexually harass her the way he does with the others, sticking to "step back, jailbait" until then. After she confessed and he accepted though, they make several failed attempts. At one point she complains that he hasn't and he tells her that every time he tries something interrupts them. He'd had Aqua cast strong dispels on him repeatedly in case it was a curse to no avail. As had happened several times before, the two argue, which leads to escalating bluffs and challenges until she's demanding he do her and he's saying fine I will, and then there's a huge explosion outside and he's just like "see!?" while she tells him to have Aqua try a stronger Dispel.
