    Rodman celebrated if his opponent got a foul or a tech. It looked silly but his victories was not just scores and rebounds. He celebrated getting into their heads and taking them out their game. That was like a monster dunk to him. Deceptively smart

      He was a troll. Emotional guys like Barkley or Zo always took the bait.
      He tried that shit on Hakeem in the playoffs and he just shrugged his shoulders and proceeded to kick he and the rest of his squads ass.

      Very surreal watching this 25+ years later. I was thinking this looks like the game where Denis gets ejected and takes off his shirt and sure enough it was. People don't realize Charles had man strength as a rookie coming into the league. People also don't realize Michael was really small when he came into the league. They called him "skinny Mike".

    One thing I have to say about Bill Laimbeer: If you're on his team, he really has your back. Any time it looked like there might be a scuffle between one of his teammates and someone on the opposing team, he's one of the first ones there who is ready to get in a fight for his guy, if need be -- no questions asked.

    • @eugenedancy1129

      That was the Detroit Pistons. Chuck Daley, Laimbeer, Mahorn, Isaiah, Rodman, Dumars, Vinny, Edwards. They were a team, backing down from nobody. Laimbeer and Mahorn were capable of scoring 25-30 pts a night. They gaveup scoring to become two of the best role players in nba history. Enforcers, making sure they controlled the paint every night. Laimbeer and Mahorn, that duo probably caused a lot of players to lose sleep the night before the game. 😂

He told me that MJ hung out with Oakley in Vegas, LA, NYC on vacations etc… He would tell me some awesome stories about them. All the best players from the 80’s and 90’s know that if you’re with Oakley nobody is fu&@ing with you. I thought it was cool that MJ respected him enough to hang out with him. Rodman is the hardest working player ive ever seen. He had a superhuman motor. Watching him high stepping up and down the court like a gazelle, despite the constant beatings dished out and received, must have been deflating for opponents. Utterly relentless.... Imo, his athleticism was off the charts. Probably would have been incredible at decathlon.

      Oakley crashed the boards and often held rodman in check rebounding wise. Rodman was more like a "worm" squirming his way to a rebound. Oakley quite literally ran and crashed his body into players to get the rebound.. different types of players.

    • @soakedbearrd
      @soakedbearrd 2 роки тому

      @@soramirez5473 💯. Rodman had a gift of seeing the trajectory of the ricochet to know where to go to get the rebound. Definitely also will out hustle and out-cardio you. Oakley was a rock, that was a master at boxing out, and had the strength to tassel with the big men. It certainly wasn’t his hops. Like you said he uses his body to get rebounds, Barkley was like that too, short, didn’t have high hops, but that 6’6 frame would feel Ike a 6’10 frame.
