    Have you guys been watching a lot of japanese videos? The shot composition, blocking, the timing...it just _oozes_ Japan! 😀
    Absolutely wonderful to watch on a lazy sunday morning. Thanks a bunch for taking us along!

      Honestly not so much! We wish we had a bit more time for some tv haha! :) Life has been busy lately, but it's fun to hear that our actual real life experience in Japan, looks similar to the Japanese videos... makes sense right! :) Thanks for watching!!

    Hello lovely family, nice to see you enjoying home & family times. The girls keep you busy for sure, but these years go fast believe me so it’s good you’re capturing these special memories. Looking forward to your next adventure. Stay safe, happiness always 😘🤩

      Yes we totally believe that they go by fast! When we moved to Germany, Willa was Noa's age now. That is pretty crazy to us! Hope you have a great week ahead! :)

    I am so glad to hear the tornado did not hit you hard and everyone is okay.
    "A day in the life" is super because when seeing the everyday routines and environment enables us viewers to compare! Hugs and kisses to Japan!
    Not putting too much effort in learning a foreign language (especially one that is complicated and includes a different alphabet/writing), when there are no plans to stay for a long time. I guess, I wouldn't do it too.

    Living near the sea means higher humidity, which can cause mold, so it's better to keep the air conditioner’s dehumidifier function on all day.

    • @OurStorytoTell
      @OurStorytoTell  10 годин тому

      We are glad to hear you enjoy them!! :) We have some friends here in Japan that do that, and then others that say to not use that function. Our realtor told us to keep them off and have standing dehumidifiers interestingly enough! The humidity is hard to keep up with for sure though haha!

    Love your "normal" life ❤. The girls just make my Sundays as I remember the days when my boys were young (youngest just turned 26), but my guys were more on the rough and tumble side 😂. Y'all have a blessed week and just enjoy this time in your lives. It goes quick!

    Make sure to visit Heidelberg during summer on the first Saturday of the month. That firework is the best. It is called Heidelberger Schlossbeleuchtung. 🙂

    Your video is better than all the Minions movies combined! So much beauty in so many ways. Your family is just amazing. My mom says it, my dad says it, I say it, and my grandma would say it too (but she only watches classic films). Simply wonderful what you guys share. PS: And Germans rarely say things like that.

    • @OurStorytoTell
      @OurStorytoTell  8 годин тому +1

      Oh wow that is saying a lot! For one because we understand Germans better than many other Americans and two, we love minions! 🤣😂 It sounds like we’d love your family too! How kind! Thanks for the support!

    I need to catch up on your most recent videos - As Tanner might know the end of the Fiscal Year is a circus. I cannot wait for the month to be over when I can relax and catch up. Take Care!

    • @OurStorytoTell
      @OurStorytoTell  5 годин тому +1

      Yes, I’m definitely ready for the end of the fiscal year…. and also the election… and the potential continuing resolution, that always seems to show its face way to often 😅. But in all seriousness, it will be nice to have October come so we can work a little more freely.
      Thanks for the support! We have had some adventures that I think you’ll enjoy ☺️ have a great rest of your weekend!

    Good decision to dive deeper into the languages you already took, than putting all effort into learning Japanese, since your stay is only 2,5 years in Japan. I would do the same, unless I would want to live for a much longer time in Japan.

      Tea needs boiling water to bring out all the good stuff. Hot water from the tub won't do it. It tastes awful.

    • @petebeatminister
      @petebeatminister 9 годин тому

      @@witty2u You are missing the point. He should not pour boiling water next to his kids leg. That could have terrible consequences.

    Willa is more and more the absolute image of her daddy, just blond and without the facial hair😄
    I don't know what 80 degrees is, but it looks very humid. Japan would not be for me, but interesting to see from a distance. I'm curious as to where you will be going next.

    • @OurStorytoTell
      @OurStorytoTell  15 годин тому +3

      😂 love that you mentioned without the facial hair! Maybe we'll post a picture of when Tanner was around her age to do a comparison. We saw a picture the other day and it was crazy to see the similarities.
      Even though in Utah where we grew up get to temperatures greater than 100 F, the humidity makes it significantly worse, even at 80 degrees. Luckily it's not much longer and the temps will start dropping again :).

      😄
      A picture of little Tanner would be so interesting to see. Or maybe clean shaven in a blond wig😄😄 I swear Tanner and Willa are clones.
      I'm not a fan of summer and heat at all. It was very hot and humid this summer in southern Germany, and I'm so happy it's over. Hope you get the mold problem solved soon. It's dangerous.

      80 F = 26.5 C. "In the 80s" = 26.5 C ~ 33.5 C.

    Just a question: how do you pay for the garbage collect around your house, if you pay. Here in Northern Italy we have pretty much the same system and we pay like 142 Euro a year for a two family members, like 158 USD

    • @OurStorytoTell
      @OurStorytoTell  5 годин тому

      Great question! Personally our rental contract hasn’t had us pay for those services yet. I’ll have to ask my co-workers to see if it’s a once per year kind of bill or how it’s done. It’s possible that the landlord is responsible for paying it, and they built that cost in the rent.
      Thanks for sharing! Where in Northern Italy are you at?

    You should feel that abnormal humidity is the reason why Japan uses plastic. In the past, food used to rot quickly.
