Stick around to see if our laser thermometer can show a reduction of heat blocking with these carbon fiber shields by Add W1. Carbon fiber has great tensile strength and even better heat conductivity compared to aluminum.

I've had these on my GTS for about 8 months now. They work great & look awesome🔥. I also have the Injen hydroshield covers for the filters. Adds a little extra flare & helps keep the filters clean & pulling in clean air. Thanks for the video and the numbers on the heat. I've been wondering exactly how much heat they block. Have a good day bro.
You too! Thanks bro 😎
🤙
Thanks for this! I had to go back and adjust mine to block off more from the bottom!
I have Injen's on my Stinger as well but ended up doing a DIY heat shield with heat reflective material and tape tied around the strut bars. Gives me a lot more coverage than the CF shields and was obviously way cheaper. Did it as an impomptu hold-me-over but its been on there for 6 months now without an issue!
Clean AF, also great work on filming and editing Nike, keep up the good work.
Good stuff!!! Nice to see some actual numbers vs reading about.
They look great ,thanks for another great how to video.
I love your cars
I have these on as well. nice product!
I'm patiently waiting for the borla exhaust vid........!.......
I seen these on your IG bro, looks good did that temp gun show any differences? Thanks!
Check your IAT's back to back before and after the CF. a $40 amazon infrared thermometer is not going to give you any meaningful data.
Doesn’t look like you have a lot of room but what is you buy 2 of them and try to enclose the filter?
Tbh, it wouldn’t make any difference. There’s no radiating heat coming from any other direction. These are more for show and when at a stand still doing a launch they help a tad. If I were to redo it, I would get the Takeda enclosed intakes that connect to the snorkels like on this video we did of the new 2023 GT2 NEW 2023 KIA STINGER GT2 “Grand Tourer” REVIEW

Yea idk why they didnt make the hood vents functional with how much heat this engine generates lol
Why not get those faux hood vents to work?
I’d rather get a heat extracted hood tbh, I don’t want to permanently mod the OEM equipment for the next build, but damn I wish those vents were functional bc I do like the design
The TS Seibon carbon fiber hood on mine works great for heat extraction & looks sweet. In my opinion it's the best one for heat extraction & looks.👍
Where did you get your floor Matts??

Is a heat shield needed for injens or naw
They do indeed block the heat, I tested them. Some people will get them for the look, it does make the engine bay look a lot better without breaking the bank. If you don’t go with Injen, I would look for an enclosed air intake system like AFe or VR intakes, but I would say this is a good buy for $150 being carbon fiber. Just my 2 cents
So am I the only one that doesn’t know wth a turbo timer is? Lol
I don't quite agree with this carbon fiber method, the filter will still seek or suck up all the ambient heat that is trapped under the hood, it goes against the principles of proper engine operation.
It’s only benefit I seen was at idle , keeping some of the extreme heat off the cones, but yeah it’s a cosmetic mod for sure
