Great job with this video! It helped me immensely installing the same setup on my 22 stinger scorpion!! You Rock!
Thanks for the support, glad I could help!!
Brother I have to say that you shoot great instructional video content.....only suggestion is if you can identify what tools and sizes we would need then you would be complete my friend...thank you for your wonderful video.
Thanks for the support, I’ll try to keep that in mind for my future videos!
Awesome installation, this helped a lot. Also thanks for the information at the end, on which can fills up more🙏
Glad I could help!
I love addw1 been running my can for 3 years now. Perfomes perfect and collects alot
They are pretty nice!
Great vid. Great catch cans. You really should install a check valve on the pcv side though but not the cheap one that addw1 sells but a good quality one, like anver.
And yeah, my CCV side cc has been completely dry since installation 15k miles ago. My PCV cc fills up just above half each 5k miles
Link please. I googled anver oil catch can check valve and couldn’t find it
Well done. I went with the single can setup.
Very nice, I would have done a single too but they sent me the dual kit.
The funny thing is on my 2022 G70 these bolts (from the wheel well) are already put in from the manufacturer. They don't have anything attached, it's just two bolts sticking out with no nuts...almost like they expected you to install a catch can lol.
In the earlier Stingers they are there too, I don’t get why they removed it on the ‘22 Stingers.
@@KDMCurt oh that's interesting, I wonder why they'd do that. But yeah they're welded in and painted, right in the exact spot where you installed them in the video.
Serious Man!!!
Thank you!😁
Great vid.
Does it increase the engine pressure?
Thanks
Can you do one showing how to drain cans.? I have both and don't want to mess anything up..jus5 bought car.
Don’t have the car anymore but to empty them, take the dipstick out and unscrew the bottom of the can from the top until it separates. Then pour out the contents wherever you dispose of oil, and screw the bottom of the can back on to the top portion and put the dipstick back in.
@@KDMCurt ok so no pressure issues or needing to bleed anything?
Nice Video man! Btw where did you get the vanity cover over the fuse box from?
I've got a Goku theme kinda going for my g70, so that would work well.
So if the pcv side is the one with the most blow by wouldnt it just be easier and better to T in the 2 catch cans together to have the double the capacity to catch blow by? Im curious why no one has just done that?
From ccv side how to connect to driver side intake
Great video, I’m new to the k5 optima website and came across one of these. I jus wanna kno what purpose do they serve and is it a good investment
This is basically an extra filtration system for the engine. It keeps oil particles from passing through the intake manifold and getting back in to the rest of the engine. It’s not 100% necessary unless you are running a tune and pushing your engine heavy but I would say it’s a good investment as it will keep your engine cleaner than without one.
Has anyone routed the tubes for the '22 GT Line? Was staring at that back area yesterday. Thanks in advance.
I'm guessing no, but do you see a need to top off the oil after emptying catch can?
Nope, you should be good until your next oil change. Your car will let you know if the oil level is getting low. Also, if you’re worried about it because the can seems likes it’s filling up a lot just check the oil level using your dipstick for peace of mind.
Thanks! Just ordered the hydro dipped "hood vents" on ebay. Just starting my stinger journey with my 2022 scorpion.
would this be the same on the 2023 and also any exhaust upgrades yet??
Yes should be the same for the 2023’s, nope no exhaust mods for me yet.
Do you think those brace bars would fit on a 2015 genesis dh 5.0 (genesis g80)
Unfortunately that I do not know, sorry.
So the pcv + ccv option is for two cans instead of one ?
Yes that’s for the dual can option.
@kdm_curt do you need to drain them and if so, where do you put it?
Yes, you will need to drain them after a while. For disposing of the oil you can take it to certain businesses that will take care of it for you like AutoZone. You want to be careful just dumping it anywhere as you can get fined for stuff like that
Where do you install the check valves?
From what I’ve researched a check valve would go in between the outlet hose from the catch can on the PCV side and the intake manifold. I personally haven’t used them with an OCC set up before and haven’t had any issues but I also make sure my cans are emptied pretty regularly so if they do end up getting pressurized from boost there won’t be a lot of oil blow by making it through the hoses.
@@KDMCurt I appreciate it!! Great video’s!! Keep them coming!!
@@EricCarithers not needed on the updated add w1 cans
@@KDMCurt I'm pretty sure one way check valves are for catch cans with breathers. I could be wrong but that's what makes sense to me being that these are air tight.
Is it real carbon fiber?
I don’t believe it is, I’m pretty sure it’s just a wrap/decal on the cans. Still looks pretty good though.
Do you have insta account bro ?
Yes it’s KDM_Curt
Ok , just followed you from @autoglodetailing.
What material did you use to black out tail lights ?
@@teteranksakateteranking523 it’s dark smoke vinyl from Vvivid Vinyl’s website, however I just switched to light smoke because this was a tad too dark when driving at night.
@@KDMCurt ok thank you , will check that out now and order , can I get it from Amazon also as I’m in Canada
@@teteranksakateteranking523 yup it’s sold on Amazon - amzn.to/3PnRHL8
