Visit from the future: its INCREDIBILBE hearing Weight of Dreams in its infancy state (as the black flag exposition) a year and half before it was released. both Jake's fantastic guitar work and Josh's vocals are basically the same, just matured up a tiny bit, and its just blowing my mind. I am so glad that track was released.
Weight of dreams is my favorite song of theirs. And I totally agree. Today is my first time hearing the black flag exposition and my mind is totally blown. It was so good like this already and they improved it 😭
For any haters out there.. Let me start by saying that THERE WILL NEVER.. I MEAN NEVER BE ANOTHER LED ZEPPELIN.. Now having said that the mere fact that these young men chose the GREATEST ROCK BAND EVER to emulate and pay tribute to with their own music should be something encouraging for those of us who have felt that Rock n Roll had lost its way.. this band and others like it should give solace to all concerned that Rock n Roll has not died and young bands like this deserve our support if we want to keep it alive. I mean, Josh said it best.. "Mr. John Denver! My hero!"... Really looking forward to his sound as he gets older and his voice changes..
you are unbelievable guys, let haters hate, and don't listen to these annoying internet envious voices. You guys f**kin rocks, and just THANK YOU FOR KEEPING ROCK ALIVE. 🤘🏼Keep on rockin' baby. Oscar
These guys transcend all stereo types. GVF is the greatest band on this planet and their message of love and peace through their music will raise our planets vibration. We so desperately need this. I create my art to their music and listen daily. I agree that Live at Red rocks needs to be a live album. I can’t wait for new album Starcatcher to be released this year! I have tickets for Aug 5th! Can’t wait. I’m 59, my daughter is 21. We both love this band!
Hi Dana! Same!!! I'm 59 and my daughter will be 21 this year. We saw them for the first time in Greenville SC earlier this year and we lucked out and are seeing Starcatcher kickoff in Nashville ❤️✨ Love this band!
This band has crossed that threshold into the company of some of the great rock bands in history. They have beautiful vintage sound that transports their audience right back to the early seventies. Love it!
Unbelievable ! I though rock was dead . this band is sooooo talented. I am 60 years old and haven't been to a concert in years. I would absolutely go see this band.
Just discovered these guys. Bloody hell. So many influences and sounds done in a really original way: Rush, Joplin, Sabbath, old country, Prince, Zeppelin. Fantastic.
They're really widened their net of influences on the 3rd album, add Journey,. Queen, Styx, and Toto to the list too. They're got "the feel" true to the originals for 6 0s 70s clear through to 80s, but make it all current right freakin' NOW! I LOVES IT!
Their mama's must be so proud! The boy's mama said, "wow I've birthed a rock band!!". So true. Keep up the great and timeless sound of Beautiful Rock & Roll music boys. You all are killing it!! The best kind of music, in my opinion. Raw, unfiltered, and fantastic talent. It's been a long while since I've heard guitar solos and drum solos mixed with Josh's incredible voice.
I have always been a classic rock fan. l prophesy...this shall enter into the gates of heaven and the rock and roll hall of fame. I don't like to compare band. Some argue they sound like Led Zeppelin, well I happen to love Zeppelin and that is probably the reason I love this band. Don't let this sound die out! Led Zeppelin is great, but so is GRETA VAN FLEET. And if this is reminiscent of Zeppelin to you...Let it be so. But don't miss the sound of a band, that is surely to become a classic.
You nailed it, I'm also a huge Zeppelin fan, and feel exactly the same way you do regarding let it be what it is to you, and especially to not miss out on the sound that is surely to become a classic. I truly believe they saved rock n' roll, and they have begun what is the revolution back into vintage, classic roots rock, love, peace and nature, not overly prefabricated pop & top 40--this is here to stay! Thank you for your comment, I had to write you:) glad we share the same passion for this style of rock n' roll:)
The best thing this band can do is ignore any and all negative shit from any and everyone. Just keep doing what your doing, never compromise. That has been the demise of other bands that have been compared to classic bands, they get bothered by comparisons, attempt to change their style and then lose what they had. . They can bring it live, that's all that matters. Can't wait to see them.
This is what great parenting can achieve love that they are so talented. They hit all the checks for me I do not listen to any of the haters out there Rock is not dead. Long live Gretta and bands like them who celebrate and bring the past back in a freash way .
8:00 the crowd increasingly gets louder knowing Jake’s solo is coming. 10:07 he is so into what he’s playing…watch his body movement! Then, of course nothing can match the ending. Chills!!!
Their albums are already good, but mark my words, before the end of what I hope is a very LONG career- they are going to make an album that will shape music for decades to come.
Wow 👏 just amazing ❤❤❤. My dad would have absolutely loved hearing yall sing. Hes the reason my heart belongs to classic rock. I bring his ashes with me too all his favorite bands concerts. He will be with me when i finally see you guys live. Yall are helping keep rock and roll going. Thank you sooo much 🤘
Black Flag Exposition: Absolute throwback to 60's artistry. No backing tracks, no autotune, no computers - just lights, visuals, and 4 extremely talented musicians on an outdoor stage with exceptional sound engineering. Jake is on the way to becoming one of the greats - as in Jimi, Page, SRV, and Prince. Sam's driving bass and his 5 note bass line on the Mellotron is beyond awesome. That 5 note bass line coupled with Danny's beastly drumming is the soul of the performance. And Jake, well there are no words, just complete amazement and wonder.
Hearing The Weight of Dreams was honestly a letdown compared to hearing one of the greatest songs they’ve ever done with Black Flag Exposition! I’m just waiting for them to release either this live performance as an album or another live performance to listen to the song without random interruptions in the middle of the song on here lol
I am 66 years old and bought their first album in 2016, it sounded alright. I said ok they try to sound and look like Led Zeppelin whom I saw in 1975. All I can say is they have matured musically. I am looking forward to see the boys.
I listen to the best of every genre, from the 1930's to 2020's. I'm not a snob, except that whatever I listen to be quality and move me emotionally. I've had these guys on repeat all weekend. I can't remember the last band that I was as excited about. They are like a breath of fresh air. For those that lived or loved the 70's, they bring back a sound we all miss, with their own spin. A one in a million powerful rock voice to rival the greats, some awesome riffs, an extensive collection of song writing with good hooks, and a solid rhythm section. I'm into them. I hope I get the chance to see them live some time in Oz 🤘✌️😊🇦🇺
It has been years since I got into a new band - GVF did it. Classic sound - like they have been around for ages - high vocals , cool guitar interludes, great songs , cool lyrics - pure showmanship - it’s all there.
Sam's little 'Jack Bruce' lick at 17:06 is a testament his knowing from whence they come..... as though brought to the 21st century from Rock's greatest era...
Jake's guitar skills are beyond amazing.... I would class him up there with Jimi, Page, SRV, Prince and all the other G.O.A.T's. His solo's were mesmerizing. Sam on bass and the mellotron 5 note bass line along with Danny's beastly drumming were the soul of the performance of Black Flag Exposition. And Josh... no words can describe.
I´ve already seen some decades and "musicians" - evan life some of the true ones, like Deep Purple AC/DC, Gary Moore, Sting and Peter Gabriel. Theese are one of them - hope to see them soon too. 🙂
A lot of people here are taking other people's compliments on this band as personal attacks on their own favorites. I can't think of a way of seeming more insecure than that, lol. ENJOY WHAT YOU LIKE. NO ONE IS TAKING AWAY YOUR ROCK GODS. ROCK NEVER DIES.
Tonight was my first time listening to them - one of the greatest bands of all time - right up there with Beatles Stones Pink Floyd Led Zeppelin - I’m totally blown away 💥

His poor back!! It’s not gonna work for long. Bad form and will destroy his back
Visit from the future: its INCREDIBILBE hearing Weight of Dreams in its infancy state (as the black flag exposition) a year and half before it was released. both Jake's fantastic guitar work and Josh's vocals are basically the same, just matured up a tiny bit, and its just blowing my mind. I am so glad that track was released.
I remember Black Flag Exposition from when I saw them in 2019, the overall ambience along with the song was insane.
Yes , there IS HOPE , for the children of the 70s.
Let’s not over look Danny on drums. Super solid and quick.
Imaginative, sufficiently lyrical.
🔥
Danny is a beast ! Right up there with Bonham - but only heavy handed when needed.
you are unbelievable guys, let haters hate, and don't listen to these annoying internet envious voices.
❤❤❤
Hi Dana! Same!!! I'm 59 and my daughter will be 21 this year. We saw them for the first time in Greenville SC earlier this year and we lucked out and are seeing Starcatcher kickoff in Nashville ❤️✨ Love this band!
ill be at the same one, cant wait
I'm 73 and i'm so happy to know that rock is in good hands again!!!!
I was at the show and it was awesome!👍👍👍👏👏👏👏!!
This band has crossed that threshold into the company of some of the great rock bands in history. They have beautiful vintage sound that transports their audience right back to the early seventies. Love it!
8:04 Josh's scream here is epic! I love how he starts it aa he's walking towards the mic so it's kind of a fade in!
A pure display of a passionate band that deserves all the love and affection they need to rock out and continue their jorney. ❤️😊 12:00
I LOVES IT!
queen....yes...pink floyd....jannis joplin...prince...
I also hear Yes and Deep Purple. They are just everyone rolled into one fabulous band😮
Jake is a rock and roll FREAKIN' SHERPA!!
Jake is one of the best guitarists I’ve ever heard omg.
One of the best I don’t know but one of the most enduring. ;-)
Guitarist of the year this year! 🙌
You have got to be kidding?
Their mama's must be so proud! The boy's mama said, "wow I've birthed a rock band!!". So true.
Keep up the great and timeless sound of Beautiful Rock & Roll music boys. You all are killing it!!
The best kind of music, in my opinion. Raw, unfiltered, and fantastic talent. It's been a long while since I've heard guitar solos and drum solos mixed with Josh's incredible voice.
This show is crazy! I think this is in the running as a classic concert film.
I come back to their red rocks performance at least once a week. I will never get over how utterly amazing it is
Me too. A dream venue, and a flawless performance. I’m on this video every few days lol
Played it twice this morning and it's only 8:30am! Sometimes you need some Weight of Dreams and When the Curtain Falls to get your day started!
Black Flag Exposition is absolutely incredible!
I’m jealous of the fans that saw this live. Great band.
I’d do just about anything to have been at this concert!
16:50 this guitar solo is amazing ! 🇧🇷
Man, this guitar sounds like Peter Green. The old FM.
ROCK AND ROLL WILL NEVER DIE!!!
NEVER!!!!!!!
Amen brother.
Boaaa
Ladarion johnson cover band? Get a life dude. You must not know music. These dudes don’t sound exactly like zeppelin.
@Ladarion johnson COVER??? Nem a pau!
Agree with you 100%
Ну то есть, продолжайте подрожать
This band plays the kind of music which will be remembered century after centuries as the CLASSIC
This is what great parenting can achieve love that they are so talented. They hit all the checks for me I do not listen to any of the haters out there Rock is not dead. Long live Gretta and bands like them who celebrate and bring the past back in a freash way .
I never get tired of watching Jake play. 🥰
8:00 the crowd increasingly gets louder knowing Jake’s solo is coming. 10:07 he is so into what he’s playing…watch his body movement! Then, of course nothing can match the ending. Chills!!!
I've been listening to this band on loop. They are supreme. The fact that they are so underrated and a fault to today's music taste
Their albums are already good, but mark my words, before the end of what I hope is a very LONG career- they are going to make an album that will shape music for decades to come.
Well said FinFen
I agree 100%
Just started listening to these guys. They are so inspirational.Led Zeppelin .with geddy Lee vocals
Enjoy the ride! GVF has music for just about any taste of rock.
I am just another 50+ yo who grew up listening to what I consider GREAT MUSIC and I take my hat off to these guys. They are the real deal!
I will never stop talking about this video for the rest of my life
The guitar solo and the end of black flag exposition has to be one of the best ever. The whole song is a showcase of epic guitar. I love it
Josh will be remembered as one of the greatest voices of all time.
Love Greta Van Fleet best rock band in a long time hope a Canadian tours coming soon
We all need the new GVF album, they're preparing us for the new single that's said to come out in a few weeks
I think this Friday . Part 1 last Monday, part 2 Thursday, part 3 today(this Monday) part 4 this this Thursday and single Friday 🤞🏼
Jim Bob no the album is what he’s talking about.
album is probably going to come out in december with the metallica tour
Noel Sanders nah I'd say album in spring
I just got from the fires my first album of theirs.
It’s been many years since I’ve heard such incredible talent. Pure rock, classic and yet original at the same time. Wow, just Wow!
The transition to Watching Over was a though they had been playing together for 20 years. Phenomenal performance.
True rock n roll is STILL alive today, the boys are tight!
Jake left the amp's "open" at the end of When the Curtain Fallls. Hear them humming - so you know a encore is coming.
Thank you sooo much 🤘
Black Flag Exposition even being partly a cover is probably my favorite song of the last 20+ years. Please be on the new record!!!!
@tHe GrEy MaN our request has been heard haha.. Weight of Dreams is on the new album :D
I had almost forgotten how good these kids are. Long live Rock'n'Roll !!!!!
I like what you said about listening to the highest quality that each genre/era has to give. I am like that too very much.
This pulled me out of my depression today… Thanks Greta! Best new band ever
It's hard to stay down when you're listening to such amazing beauty that pierces your heart.
It has been years since I got into a new band - GVF did it. Classic sound - like they have been around for ages - high vocals , cool guitar interludes, great songs , cool lyrics - pure showmanship - it’s all there.
OMG that guitar intro. Incredible. God given talent.
Sam's little 'Jack Bruce' lick at 17:06 is a testament his knowing from whence they come..... as though brought to the 21st century from Rock's greatest era...
Peace, Love, and Unity
Jake's guitar skills are beyond amazing.... I would class him up there with Jimi, Page, SRV, Prince and all the other G.O.A.T's. His solo's were mesmerizing. Sam on bass and the mellotron 5 note bass line along with Danny's beastly drumming were the soul of the performance of Black Flag Exposition. And Josh... no words can describe.
Say what you want but these guys put on a great show..I'm proud of them for being one of the few that is keeping Rock and Roll alive
Rock'n Roll will never die 🎸, absolutely great !!!!
Sam and Danny are the driving force and soul of the group.... just amazingly good.
I feel like I've been living under a rock , just found this band today and making then my new favorite band. Their music makes me feel young again!
Still looking for a way to inject this whole show in my veins. I’m speechless in front of so much talent, these guys deserve the world and more❤️
And I think they're only 23 and 20 years old when they did this think about that.
THANK YOU UNIVERSE FOR THIS MIRACLE ❤✌🏼🙏🏻
The bass is my favorite guitar, this solo is totally awesome 🎉🎉🎉love it.
I´ve already seen some decades and "musicians" - evan life some of the true ones, like Deep Purple AC/DC, Gary Moore, Sting and Peter Gabriel. Theese are one of them - hope to see them soon too. 🙂
Love When The Curtain Falls because when I was at the Philly show Dec 30th Josh sang “what can I say you’ve got it all” and was looking at me😭😭😭😭
A lot of people here are taking other people's compliments on this band as personal attacks on their own favorites. I can't think of a way of seeming more insecure than that, lol. ENJOY WHAT YOU LIKE. NO ONE IS TAKING AWAY YOUR ROCK GODS. ROCK NEVER DIES.
For those about to rock with Greta
I SALUTE U !🤘😎
YEEAAAAHHH🤘🏼🇺🇸
\m/
Best new group in ten years ,..on a par with led zeppelin
The Weight of Dreams there at the 8:06 and some of the riffs on the new album. Love you, GVF! Keep up!
it was "black flag exposition" before they added that entire solo to what we now know as the weight of dreams!
What ever it is its fucking blowing us away here in Vietnam 🇻🇳 💚🤟🏽🤟🏽🤟🏽🤟🏽🤟🏽🤩🤩🤩😍😍😍😍😍😍
Tonight was my first time listening to them - one of the greatest bands of all time - right up there with Beatles Stones Pink Floyd Led Zeppelin - I’m totally blown away 💥
Welcome to the peaceful army
