Wanted to write this, then found your comment. Absolutely agree!
That would be wonderful. I love them but I find myself jamming even harder to their live music
live album GVF Live at the Red Rocks Amphitheater !!! T O P !!!
Not only yes, but HELL yes!!
Poor Sam didn't get hardly Any airtime. Bless his heart. He is a Damn Good Bassist and His Facials Are The BEST!!!
He's playing the heck outta that bass... No one ever pays much attention to it, but it's true
I think they make very good use out of the bass unlike most bands
you sir, are correct.
Sam may be the most talented of the Kizka brothers.
Luv it
Sam is a phenomenal bass player
The bass, the drums, vocal, guitar. My god, what a show. What a band !
No conocía su música, hasta hoy y me ha dado un gustazo escucharlos ❤🥰🥰
Bufffffff..... me encantan ❤😍 y además me recuerdan mucho a Led Zepelín
Ésto es música auténtica y no la basura que hay ahora en la radio cada día
I bet Jake would be great at limbo
Lol! 😝🤭😂
Hahahahahahahahhahahahahaha this comment made my day!
Hahahaha, you bloody :DDD
REALLY good at it
His poor back!! It’s not gonna work for long. Bad form and will destroy his back
Easily one of the most talented bands right now, love how they’re all just stupidly talented individually
AND not to mention 3/4 are brothers ...what the fck hahah
I wish my kids will be like this if I am fortunate to have some in a few years !!! :D
Half assed Led Zeppelin wanna be’s. Sadly, you’re right. That just goes to show that rock is pretty much dead.
@@PatrickForrest-pv4wv Interestingly, Boomer, Robert Plant has been complimentary to the lead singer, in particular. He is old and mature enough to understand the band's obviously heavy Led Zeppelin influence is a form of flattery... he actually referred to them as "Led Zeppelin I". I assume you, yourself, don't have a background in music, so I get how you wouldn't understand or appreciate the unique aspects of this band's talented performers and style (not ALL Led Zeppelin); therefore, your opinion is hilariously pathetic.
@@PatrickForrest-pv4wv Wow you are salty.
@@PatrickForrest-pv4wv Robert PLANT himself DISAGREES with you .... look up the video... So that Pretty much SHUTS YOU DOWN COMPLETELY..
Black flag exposition guitar solo is a masterpiece, eargasm
Heru Kusuma literally my favorite solo of all time, so much emotion.
224 + bars of the same movement is a bit much.....change it up young ones. Jake needs to stay in touch with the band and move the solo to others ideas rather than stay on the same idea for so long. Sorry....but true :/
TheBalance it’s very energetic solo, but I agree with you, he should’ve switched gears into something more mellow for a minute
TheBalance i got your point, maybe he’s not as technical as other great guitarist but he sure can deliver the emotions and feelings into that thing, reminds me of richie sambora a lil bit
You nailed it!
I was at this concert and it was one of the greatest experiences of my life. The view of the sunset over Denver in the beginning and the the pure rock and roll bouncing off the rocks
how much was your ticket? i'm trying to save for their next possible tour
i also would like to know
I wish I was there. Just amazing. First 15 minutes of this part 3 is one of the best things live I have ever seen....maybe the best.
How does it feel to live my dream oh my god
@@niceguysfinishlast not totally sure but I think around $120
We need a new GRETA VAN FLEET ALBUM !!!!!!!! the spot in the vinyl shelf is ready !
Actually they were planning to release a new album nearly one year ago
I've got a shelf with your name on it
They are like the Band BOSTON they will put one out in 3 year's
Totally agree this.
It's being worked on, Covid slowed down the process but it's in the works
This band have already earned their place in rock history. The guitarist alone is up there with the greatest . All this and they are still young.......what more awaits them.
100%!
you're high
@@westoftherockies both can be true hahahah
It's kind of like watching Led Zeppelin's grandchildren playing. They are all extremely gifted in your own way! Mad props to all of them. Keep doing what you're doing. I'm just a new fan of you.
Spot on, my first tought when this came up.
Instant fan
also looks quite a bit like TSRTS which is nice
I agree, so gifted. I’m a huge fan.
Don't forget the showman ship of Queen..
Visit from the future: its INCREDIBILBE hearing Weight of Dreams in its infancy state (as the black flag exposition) a year and half before it was released. both Jake's fantastic guitar work and Josh's vocals are basically the same, just matured up a tiny bit, and its just blowing my mind. I am so glad that track was released.
I remember Black Flag Exposition from when I saw them in 2019, the overall ambience along with the song was insane.
Weight of dreams is my favorite song of theirs. And I totally agree. Today is my first time hearing the black flag exposition and my mind is totally blown. It was so good like this already and they improved it 😭
Sam is doing some good stuff on his bass on "When The Curtain Falls". These guys may not be everyone's cup of tea, but their musicianship is getting stronger and stronger I think.
Sam may just be the best musician of the lot, yes I know that is a big call but there is and early live at the radio performance where he plays flower power on piano. It is simply exquisite.
@@aussiefirestorm his keys skills are crazy
They can fill my cup any time. 🤘
Great musicians ...they can only get better...
You are right. They get it. They get better every time I see them
That guitar solo needs to be a song, that was art.
they’ve got a song for it! it’s called the weight of dreams, it’s on the new album “the battle at garden’s gate.” 8 minutes long so it’s got most of the solo!! :)

Thank you for the time stamp. 😀
is Black Flag Exposition a song of theirs?
Cheers 👍🏻
I'm 65 and this band managed to get me excited (like when I was 15 and listening to Led Zeppelin)
Thank you! I'm 60 and I love them! Amazing that they came from a German-styled mid-Michigan tourist town, but I imagine not much going on there other than farming and tourism, so they created their own entertainment... and WOW, did they EVER!
I first heard these guys about 4 or 5 years ago, and yes the first thing I thought of was “ Led Zeppelin” also. They are vastly improved since then, and do they ever rock big time!,,
I'm 57, same here, love it brother. First time in a long time, very long time, I hear a band that stands up to the bands of the 70s.

These guys transcend all stereo types. GVF is the greatest band on this planet and their message of love and peace through their music will raise our planets vibration. We so desperately need this. I create my art to their music and listen daily. I agree that Live at Red rocks needs to be a live album. I can’t wait for new album Starcatcher to be released this year! I have tickets for Aug 5th! Can’t wait. I’m 59, my daughter is 21. We both love this band!
❤❤❤
Hi Dana! Same!!! I'm 59 and my daughter will be 21 this year. We saw them for the first time in Greenville SC earlier this year and we lucked out and are seeing Starcatcher kickoff in Nashville ❤️✨ Love this band!
ill be at the same one, cant wait
I'm 73 and i'm so happy to know that rock is in good hands again!!!!
I was at the show and it was awesome!👍👍👍👏👏👏👏!!
We all need the new GVF album, they're preparing us for the new single that's said to come out in a few weeks
I think this Friday . Part 1 last Monday, part 2 Thursday, part 3 today(this Monday) part 4 this this Thursday and single Friday 🤞🏼
Jim Bob no the album is what he’s talking about.
album is probably going to come out in december with the metallica tour
Noel Sanders nah I'd say album in spring
I just got from the fires my first album of theirs.
I’m jealous of the fans that saw this live. Great band.

Let’s not over look Danny on drums. Super solid and quick.
Imaginative, sufficiently lyrical.

Danny is a beast ! Right up there with Bonham - but only heavy handed when needed.
I’ve been to 3 shows. NEVER got to see this one, but I’ll tell you right now, this show at the RR is THE BEST SHOW I HAVE EVER SEEN, bar none!!!
I come back to their red rocks performance at least once a week. I will never get over how utterly amazing it is
Me too. A dream venue, and a flawless performance. I’m on this video every few days lol
Played it twice this morning and it's only 8:30am! Sometimes you need some Weight of Dreams and When the Curtain Falls to get your day started!

Lol😂😂😂
yeah, right.

Fled Leppelin...
I was born in 1964 and had never heard Greta Van Fleet until today when I stumbled upon this Act 3 performance. I have seen shows at Red Rocks and this must have been stunning to experience live. I was unexpectedly drawn into the visually aural operatic display. I am left with the impression that J.R.R. Tolkien was dozing in a magical underworld and dreamt that Led Zeppelin and Rush birthed this vivacious rock and roll ensemble. Huzzah!
I dont even need an album I just want a studio copy of black flag exposition
👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼
Their best song so far for sure
kinda remind me of rush
the first part is just the cover of Melanie' Lay Down

Black Flag Exposition is absolutely incredible!
I can’t believe more people aren’t talking about Jake. What a performance holy moly.
Guitarist of the Year this year. 🤙👍
The sounds Jake did with the guitar in the very beginning were ✨phantasmagorical ✨
It’s been many years since I’ve heard such incredible talent. Pure rock, classic and yet original at the same time. Wow, just Wow!
What a very strong and beautiful voice! I get butterflies and feel so much with this song. I'm 62 and feel 15.!😅
Just discovered these guys. Bloody hell. So many influences and sounds done in a really original way: Rush, Joplin, Sabbath, old country, Prince, Zeppelin. Fantastic.
They're really widened their net of influences on the 3rd album, add Journey,. Queen, Styx, and Toto to the list too. They're got "the feel" true to the originals for 6 0s 70s clear through to 80s, but make it all current right freakin' NOW! I LOVES IT!
queen....yes...pink floyd....jannis joplin...prince...
I also hear Yes and Deep Purple. They are just everyone rolled into one fabulous band😮
A pure display of a passionate band that deserves all the love and affection they need to rock out and continue their jorney. ❤️😊 12:00
The Weight of Dreams there at the 8:06 and some of the riffs on the new album. Love you, GVF! Keep up!
it was "black flag exposition" before they added that entire solo to what we now know as the weight of dreams!
What ever it is its fucking blowing us away here in Vietnam 🇻🇳 💚🤟🏽🤟🏽🤟🏽🤟🏽🤟🏽🤩🤩🤩😍😍😍😍😍😍
LONG LIVE ROCK AND ROLL. I have a lot of love and pride for these guys carrying the torch. many compare them BUT they are their own. GRETA VAN FLEET stands alone.
OMG that guitar intro. Incredible. God given talent.
This show is crazy! I think this is in the running as a classic concert film.
I have always been a classic rock fan. l prophesy...this shall enter into the gates of heaven and the rock and roll hall of fame. I don't like to compare band. Some argue they sound like Led Zeppelin, well I happen to love Zeppelin and that is probably the reason I love this band. Don't let this sound die out! Led Zeppelin is great, but so is GRETA VAN FLEET. And if this is reminiscent of Zeppelin to you...Let it be so. But don't miss the sound of a band, that is surely to become a classic.
You nailed it, I'm also a huge Zeppelin fan, and feel exactly the same way you do regarding let it be what it is to you, and especially to not miss out on the sound that is surely to become a classic. I truly believe they saved rock n' roll, and they have begun what is the revolution back into vintage, classic roots rock, love, peace and nature, not overly prefabricated pop & top 40--this is here to stay! Thank you for your comment, I had to write you:) glad we share the same passion for this style of rock n' roll:)
16:50 this guitar solo is amazing ! 🇧🇷
Man, this guitar sounds like Peter Green. The old FM.
Great Discovery today - a little bit Led Zeppelin in today times, beautiful guitar Solos.
This pulled me out of my depression today… Thanks Greta! Best new band ever
It's hard to stay down when you're listening to such amazing beauty that pierces your heart.
Finally!! Someone who kicks ass on the guitar and the solos are long and so enjoyable to watch and listen too.
These guys are crazy talented. ❤️❤️❤️
Buckle up, it's going to be along time until you hear a voice like this again. These guys are awesome, rad, the shi**, what ever you want to call it. Can't wait to see them
Sam also has a ton of talent! Don't be fooled, he might be the most talented!
He’s great, he’s the glue of this band
Truth. They are all multi talented but Sam is incredible. (Even though I’m a Jake girl 😉)
THANK YOU UNIVERSE FOR THIS MIRACLE ❤✌🏼🙏🏻
Their albums are already good, but mark my words, before the end of what I hope is a very LONG career- they are going to make an album that will shape music for decades to come.
Well said FinFen
I agree 100%
Sounds like they've been getting into late 70s Rush
I’ve been meaning to do that.
Hahahaha!
I was also thinking Rush as well... And Rainbow too.
Uaaauu
Yes!
Their mama's must be so proud! The boy's mama said, "wow I've birthed a rock band!!". So true.
Keep up the great and timeless sound of Beautiful Rock & Roll music boys. You all are killing it!!
The best kind of music, in my opinion. Raw, unfiltered, and fantastic talent. It's been a long while since I've heard guitar solos and drum solos mixed with Josh's incredible voice.
Who else pleasantly surprised with a part 3??
I was sad that there were only 2 parts
My daughter said there where 3 she was prepared
There are 4 acts!!!!!
I wasn't. I knew it wasn't over based on how Act 2 ended. Wasn't bad or anything, just not their style. They like to go with a big finale. Also this is part of their most recent tour so I knew the setlist was much longer.

rodriguez pranksters IM COUNTING ON THIS COMMENT, THAT WAS MY ORIGINAL EXPECTATION😂😂😂
I am almost 60 years old and my daughter just loves you guys. And we had the opportunity to see you inTucson Arizona (2023)so I took her. I wasn't expecting much because of the talk of being like Led Zeppelin. And I wasnt a big fan of Led Zeppelin and I was a bit young for them. But when I saw the first song and into the second I was impressed very impressed. You guys should not be labeled as the new Led Zeppelin. You are way too talented to be compared to anyone. The drum solo never have I seen one go on as long as this one and as good as this solo was. Piano solo the same just awesome guitar solo was he born with that guitar in his hand Josh the singer what vocals amazing. I will learn all their names I swear cause now I am a fan. Don't let anyone compare you to Led Zeppelin you have your own identify. And rightly so. You are amazing each one of you.
Their dad had a few instruments at home, and he picked the guitar, it started when he was 3 or so. So yeah, pretty much born with a guitar in his hands.😅 His name is Jake, Josh's twin.
Funny you mention that he started playing basically when he was 4 years old.
That's what his mom said.
For those about to rock with Greta
I SALUTE U !🤘😎

James I completely agree. I'm 66 and since my early teens till today. I have been a rock and roll junky. Attended 100's of concerts from DYLAN and the BAND to THE WHO to the ALMOND BROTHERS. These brothers have it. They truly ROCK

This band has crossed that threshold into the company of some of the great rock bands in history. They have beautiful vintage sound that transports their audience right back to the early seventies. Love it!

I didn't like it then and I don't like it now. I just want musicians i see, hear, no video trick! (i'm 71 old)

One of the best shows I have ever seen. That venue is amazing and this band ROCKED it.
Let me point of that they are 20, 20, 23, and 23 years of age at the time of this performance
Just let that sink in
Wrong. Jake and Josh are 28 and Sam and Daniel are 25 . Still young though they started in 2012
@@kaciespooner4210 Those are their ages in 2024, but clara meant that at the time of the filming of this Red Rocks show they were 20 and 23.

The best thing this band can do is ignore any and all negative shit from any and everyone. Just keep doing what your doing, never compromise. That has been the demise of other bands that have been compared to classic bands, they get bothered by comparisons, attempt to change their style and then lose what they had. . They can bring it live, that's all that matters. Can't wait to see them.
Agree with you 100%

I've been listening to this band on loop. They are supreme. The fact that they are so underrated and a fault to today's music taste

Absolutely right
I am just another 50+ yo who grew up listening to what I consider GREAT MUSIC and I take my hat off to these guys. They are the real deal!
It is so freaking killer to see a band actually playing rock'n'roll these guys are the best out there right now for rock. Keep up the awesome work guys!
I don't get why people hate on these guys... they're vastly talented and have done incredible things at such young ages. Every great rock band has some quirks, but they stand on their own with a growing catalog of original music.
Was wondering where do you see the originality? Talented, yes... Young? No doubt but catalogue of "original music"? Hardly. More of a "...we got vintage instruments, and Josh kinda reminds/sounds like Plant anyway... Hey dude, let's make LZ inspired music" What a brilliant idea! Look, no disrespect and soooooo many did that one way or the other - The Black Crowes, Rival Sons, The Black Keys, Royal Blood and many other but all of them did it with far more taste and skill - in all aspects: music, lyrics, composition...
If we would talk about GVF as a LZ cover band, I would be blown away and I have no doubt that their successes would be guarantied, but piggyback riding LZ so bluntly and openly is hardly original for more than obvious reasons. "Safari Song" being a prime example of "shake'n'bake song and how GVF operates - lots of lovin', mama, lady, hazy-lazy and some other overly explored shenanigan's, cleverly produced vintage sound... Nothing original here - even the recipe is old: Shrewd management, pinpoint accuracy, sensible goods turned into another hype which, by all measures, will soon replaced by another... Like The Jet, James Blunt, Goyte And Kimbra, La Roux...
"For all the other bands they claim as influences but deny Led Zeppelin was a major one, I have only seen them dressed up like Led Zeppelin and doing shows of Led Zeppelin songs. Not once have I seen them perform a show of any other bands."
@@masternippleblasterthey are very original compared to the same old indie/alternative rock music that has been made for 30 years now. And don’t get me started on the over hyped psych bands sounding all the same (talking about all the Australian tame Impala clones), and even worse the British/Irish post punk revivalists, or even the other classic rock sounding bands like rival sons, GVF has surely a more diversified sonic palette and in barely 5 years they have put out 4 very different albums, rhythm section still under 25 years of age.
@@masternippleblastertell me, which LZ songs weren’t stolen from, or based on Blues songs before them?
At least GVF aren’t stealing from the already impoverished like Eric Clapton, LZ, and many others of the era.
Phenomenal. They captured visually the way that Greta Van Fleet Live makes you feel transported through time and space to another dimension. 🥺🙌❤️❤️❤️❤️

So so so lucky ... 😭😭😭
Lucky you, can't wait to be able to see them live some day

I really wish they WOULD NOT keep interpreting the video content by adding ridiculous, unnatural and unneeded special effects. How many music films from the late 60's early 70's were RUINED because of this? Whose artistic talents are they trying to accentuate anyway? The band or the filmmaker? To me it just takes away from the musical artist. I want to see fingers on the fretboard, emotions on the faces, sweat flying off the drummers' brow - you know what I'm saying. Show me some real talented filmmaking, not superficial nonsense because somebody thought it would be cool.

NO JOSHUA I WASN'T READY TO LEAVE MY BODY THIS HARD BUT I LOVED IT, BLACK FLAG EXPOSITION WHY DID U KILL ME
Okay. This may not NEED to be said, but, due to lockdown, I’m sat alone in a room with nobody to vent to and, frankly, if I don’t get this off my chest now, I might implode. I love Greta Van Fleet - I enjoy their music, I think they’re all highly talented musicians and, from what I’ve seen and heard of them in interviews, they seem like four genuinely decent human beings. However, that said, I feel like the whole ‘Van Fleet/Zeppelin’ comparison and, in particular, the band’s response to said comparison needs to be addressed. From what I’ve heard in interviews conducted with various members of the band, Greta Van Fleet don’t appear best pleased that many people are repeatedly mentioning the (let’s face it) STRIKING similarities between them and Led Zeppelin. Now, Zeppelin are one of, if not THE greatest of all time, and there is absolutely nothing whatsoever wrong or distasteful about being inspired by - and, to an extent, attempting to emulate - four of the most revered and renowned musicians of all time. However, you CANNOT complain that people are comparing you to Led Zeppelin when your lead singer is standing on stage with his shirt unbuttoned, your guitarist is dressed in a black waistcoat and trousers dotted with silver stars, and your latest album cover is coated in alchemical symbols. I understand that Josh can’t help the fact that, when he opens his mouth to sing, what comes out sounds very, very similar to Robert Plant’s singing voice; it isn’t easy to change the way you sing and, honestly, if I had pipes like that boy, I wouldn’t even think of trying to. I also understand, as a guitarist myself, that there is only so much Jake could do to change the way he plays the guitar, because no matter how hard you try to avoid doing what comes naturally to you, you’ll always slip back into old habits every now and again. However, it’s more than just the sound of their music - their outfits, their album covers, their song titles. In short, if you’re going to try to emulate Led Zeppelin, hold your hands up and say “Yeah, we’re doing this shit, and we’re fucking proud of it!”. Don’t complain that people are comparing you to one of the greatest rock bands of all time when you are so obviously TRYING TO EMULATE one of the greatest rock bands of all time - own it. Because, frankly, we’re I in their position, if somebody asked me “Why are you trying to be Led Zeppelin?”, my response would be “Um...why the fuck aren’t YOU trying to be Led Zeppelin?”; if you’re going to try to emulate somebody, I couldn’t possibly think of a better book from which to take a leaf than the Book of Zeppelin. That said, The Battle at Garden’s Gate is an absolute masterpiece, these are four of the greatest musicians of our time, and I hope, in twenty years, we’ll all be out of this hellish state of affairs we find ourselves in at the moment, listening to Greta Van Fleet’s twentieth studio album. Here’s to hoping 🤞🤞🤞
That's what I thought. Even this video, I've seen this kaleidoscope thing on LZ movies before and yes the clothes! You cant deny these similarities. I mean people have eyes they observe then form their opinion.
Why would GVF be unhappy if they are being mentioned in the same line as LZ. Is that not a good thing?
They are absolutely copying Led Zeppelin. Chords, modes progressions and all. Sounds great but they should at least give credit and admit it. We love Zeppelin!!
this is the best version of black flag that i’ve ever heard
i’m sitting here just having my morning coffee and vibing to this, love them so much
My opinion: best guitar solo of all time
That is some awesome guitar!! 😮😮. God damned talented band! Takes me back to the 70’s!!
This is the first band I've heard in a long, long time that can compete with the music from the 70s. We may not have had internet, ipads, smart phones, etc, but damn did we have great music.
I will never stop talking about this video for the rest of my life
The exploration of the known universe of rock and roll ended around 1992. Oh sure, new bands have come and gone and new albums and songs have been written and largely forgotten since then. But, when was the last time a band went beyond? Beyond the fringes of what is known and shown us what is new, what is unknown and what is unexplored? GVF will always have their ties to the known universe and from time to time they will bring us back there. They are truly at their best when they are pushing out into the void, the expanse, the darkness and then lighting a light and sharing it with all of us. We see you, boys! We see you! And we are grateful...we are so very grateful that in a world that all goes this way, you insist on going THAT way instead. Peace and love upon you all, always.
The Mars Volta is/was the true modern succession of bands like floyd and zeppelin.
Beautifully said!
