this guitarist is going to carve his way into history
Easy now
Not by copying another band exactly he's not
Uhh by doing stuff hundreds did decades ago? Lol I don’t think so.
No. These kids are going to carve their way only into the biggest Led Zeppelin wannabes that ever existed...
They are cringy AF
Everyone borrows from everyone. Let’s just leave it at that and be happy there’s another addition to the rock genre instead of a slow death as we’ve been seeing the last decade
Josh’s vocal range actually has no limit it just goes beyond human comprehension at some point that’s all
I believe they are aliens sent from another time..
@@candypatterson7572 Ziggy Stardust reincarnated : )
He hit a C#6 at 21:25 and I'm pretty sure it's the highest note he has ever hit
He is kind of like The hair, Dylan, the wardrobe, Freddi Mercury, the moves, kind of Jagger. the voice, he could win on the Voice, but also Getty Lee. When we first heard them on the radio, we thought it was a new Rush song, NOT !.
He is the one of if not the best young singer of our time. The sheer range that is only beaten by Mike Patton. Stunning to me as our modern music relies more on pitch correction and autotune than actual vocal talent.
Rock and Roll wasn't dead. It was just waiting for the right band to pull the sword from the stone. Just speechless.
Great comment! Very well said!
Yes yes yes!!!! ❤❤❤❤
This vocalist is a fourth instrument, not only a singer. He fills the spaces with his voice. It's incredible.
He is a twin of the guitar player and a brother of the bass player. The drummer's a good friend of theirs. I think the coordination between these 2 is amazing. Maybe it's cause her twins.
Anyone else noticed how good they have gotten over the last few years?
They seriously have. I saw them live Sept '18, Jan '19, and Oct '19. Even the few months between Sept and Jan, their improvement was noticable. Then october blew me away. I guess touring nonstop you get a lot of practice!🧡
Yes!
I didn’t even think it was possible!! But YES!!!
In 1977, I saw the band they are compared to: Led Zeppelin. Dare I say that they are as good?
@lil' pump yet your name is lil pump. Robert Plant is 1000x's the artist that lil douche will ever be.
Good to see a 20 something playing a 60’s vintage Gibson SG through a Marshall amp. His parents raised him right!
It’s actually a 1961 les Paul
SG's are so nice! Sound great and look great
I believe he was gifted his guitar. By a Chicago dealer.
If he played a les Paul people would probably compare him to jimmy page or something
@@darthskeletand1488 no its not
Josh: Mom I am going to start a band.
Leh mom: Take your brothers with you too.
Jake started the band but yes
Is it just me, or did they get even better? They sound like they have been around for 20 years!!
What sm awesome vocals. You all are so takf
Talented
How old are u ? 😆
No man your on the money they are f....king great ..shit I've been waiting for years for this I'm 70
They've been around 10 years since they were 15 and 13 years old. 3 brothers, 2 twins and a good friend.
That GUITARIST takes me to somewhere I haven't been in a LONG TIME xxxxxxx
Sam is doing a good stuff with his bass. Bass line is just amazing
22:54
Sound board mixer, should turn the BASS UP...😎
Man this band is completely amazing. The bassist like you said, the vocalist, the guitarrist, the drummer...They are just full talented.
Every one of them is fantastic ! And a bombshell together !!!
The twins in bass guitar and lead guitar and the bro on vocals, Wao. And the drum what a team.
Robert Plant like these group, that much to say.
I'm nearly 70 and this is my favourite band by far when I look at the audience there's people fom 16 to 70 ..if your feeling down come and listen to great rock androll
Jake’s guitar solos are just insane
Commrnrnts show fans from very young, 40 -60s 80s and a man over 100! Amazing band in every way, singer is unbelievable with such range and the rest of thr bsnd so talented and tight. Im a fan! 💖 Love
I can't believe a band like this exists in today's world, this is what this world needs man. Your music heals and I'm proud to be a part of the same generation as you guys. Fantastic work... I'm blown away 😁. Definitely coming to see one of your shows soon.
Music does heal. My mood at work has improved tremendously…I hear them all 12 hours of my midnight nursing shift (in my ear). I’m 63..music is transcendental and multi-demential. I so wish I was a part of their generation cuz I’d have more years to experience future creations.
And I am SO PROUD *YOU* guys exist because I will not leave an empty merciless facelles bunch of politicians on the throne .. YOU GUYS CARRY THE FLAG!
So nice to find a Young Band like this that really rocks. Plays excellent music and has a fantastic vocalist. Get tired of running across new bands making music that sounds pretty decent but ruin it by having someone growling like a wild animal and calling it vocals
62 years old. grew up on Led Zep, Stones, Aerosmith. Will love 'em all to death. I didn't think this day (GVF, and my discovery of them) would ever come again. These young men are, by far, the most inspiring, captivating, and talented rock group that I've seen in decades.
So true!!
Same age here! I'm going through a rock and roll rebirth here b/c of these guys! I'm tee'ing up LedZep, Rush especially. These guys make me feel my teens in the '70's all over again, one of the very best decades of my life and dare I say EVER for rock! I'm smitten! Question: are we too old to go to a live concert? Seriously considering their upcoming Chicago tour stop.
58 or 9? Lol grew up on Zep, Aerosmith, Rush et al. These boys have me head shakin again! Yah!! Edit hell no you’re not too old! Take a lighter😂
Same age and feel the same way.
THE BASS SOLO WAS 🔥💣
Oh hey
Sam kiszka is a phenomenal bass and keyboard player. Say what you want, but it takes a atombomb amount of talent to pull off what he's doing. He is truly the diamond on the ring of this band.
Agreed
Sam and Danny deserve so much praise!

Indeed!!
What a trip. This band is out of this world. Wow! They have played for years an years an years. They are phenomenal. Mind blowing.
Can't find the words to describe them. I know one thing I love them. So much.they are a trip. Love this song midnight special.
Legit band...the energy, rawness, power vocals, creativity, young, hungry, attitude and the looks.
A 28 minute encore, god I love them.
I am 54 and feel like I am 16 again and hear echoes of my Dad yelling at me to "turn that shit down!"..lol. Not this time, Pops! My ears are ringing because I had the volume cranked! Damn, these kids know how to ROCK!! Love it!!!
This has felt like the longest month of what has been the longest year of my life. Greta Van Fleet releasing the red rocks videos this last week could not have been more perfectly timed.
Stay strong. Mental strength is much more important than physical strength. Hard times are like exercise, it's making you Strongminded.
I prefert the présence of God.
If God could rock like this, I would too!!😇
better get on Age of Machine then!
I am so fortunate and privileged to have experienced this show live. Amazing surreal lovely - peace love unity
I have never ever heard a singer improv backup to a guitar solo. Perfectly. It's mind-blowing.
Music critics: Rock is dead
Greta Van Fleet: Hold our beer
Music critics.. "Rock Is Dead".
Greta Van Fleet.. "Hold my beer"...
Music Critics.. Yes.. Rock is Definitely dead. It has devolved into a 70's tribute act replete with 1971 thrift shop attire. Bloated lead solos. Copy and pasted sound.
roquefortfiles
Yeah ok
Long solos because they CAN actually play. I’ll listen to 70s rock by talented kids all day long before I listen to Pearl Jam or Foo
@@stephenallsman8913 Their songs have bad structure. Bad construction. An endless jam is not a song. And anybody who plays guitar can solo for 15 minutes. Big deal. When they write something as good as Going to California or Good Times bad times.. Then i might care.
roquefortfiles
Ok, we’ll find any band that has written something as good as Zep, then talk to me. The problem with this is that everybody compares new music with Zeppelin or the Beatles or the Stones......obviously there’s no comparison. Also, their albums aren’t long drawn out jams, that’s their live show. At least they’re really playing and not lip syncing....
@@stephenallsman8913 No.. I am not comparing them to Led Zep. I am saying they don't know how to WRITE. When Van Halen came out in 1978 nobody had heard anything like them. Entirely their own sound. And its still 3 chords but it is the arrangements
Really remarkable chemistry and unmatched vocal acumen.❤❤
Whoever edited this video, is a visual arts master. Thank you!
I have often suspected Josh Kiszka of having four lungs, he is so strong..Never has a rock vocalist taken me to Nirvana, as his voice has done. This band of brothers is worthy of 1000 accolades. I want to say more, but I have to dance now....
Great to here Sam's bass lines busting through.... Great job on the sound mix.
I'm an old chick and I never thought I could get so excited about a band again!! I can't get enough of these guys!
These boys are a complete joy to see and listen to. They are professionals to the max. If you want to hear something that puts one over the moon, this is Greta Van Fleet!
Они,на мой взгляд,взрыв и новая жизнь живого,настоящего рока.Использую название диска Rainbow и напишу Long Live Rock'n'Roll!
This band is from the 70s, but traveled into future to bring us the sensation of been in the past. perfect, I wish I can sign and play like these kids.
They have not only brought out some thing and rock ‘n’ roll that we’ve been missing but they brought some thing out in me that I’ve been missing that I have forgotten about something in my heart, and in my soul that inspired me even at my age that I can still do things at someone maybe 30 years younger than me can do they make me wanna create, enjoyed life and make people laugh and talk and see and be happy. I love them so much for giving me my life back.
This bass player is absolutely awesome! This band has top notch musicians!
As a chick who grew up listening to Zeppelin and underground rock.....you guys touch a spot in this 90's grunge and alternative soul. They just don't make music like this anymore. When I saw y'all on SNL a few years back, I was obsessed and have every song you ever recorded. I can imagine endless hours practicing getting just the right sound and I sure appreciate it. Keep on rocking. Follower for life!
Send me your number I will have Billy Idol give you a call...
or Joan Jett
... XLNT comment, couldn't've said it any better. I'm 70, been Rockin out ALL of my life, started DJ'n at 4, with a windup grammaphone, self taught guitar from top 10 radio repeats since I was 8, and I recon that these guys are really great, deserve world wide fame, acclaim, accolades and high heaps of honourable recognition ...
I’m an 80 yo chick who grew up with Chuck Berry Little Richard then Beatles and Elton John and GVF’s hero John Denver Seeing GVF in Boston soon
This child on 🎸 is outstanding
4 Years later, and I'm still _______________ (speechless)
I have a new favorite band now Greta Van Fleet. I grew up in the wonderful time of Zeppelin and Black Sabbath and all of the great bands of the 60s, 70s and 80s now I get to hear great rock and roll music again. Thanks
“THE” best performance of “Lover her “ to date, bar none…..PERIOD
As a HUGE fan of 60/70's rock, this was mind blowing

СПАСИБО!
What hits? Every song is the same. Music is more important than image. They don't deliver. They're just a jam band... good for background music that nobody actually listens to.
Jake playing his guitar with the mic stand is legendary.

Nothing legendary about it kid, it was done 50 years ago...
Greta van fleet straight into the rock&roll history
Still loving this show!!!!
Music simply does not get better than this.
Just discovered Greta Van Fleet last night and I cannot stop listening to them! Wow, wow, wow. Saw Zepplin in Seattle in 1977 when I was 18 and I am headed to Reno at the end of this month to see Greta Van Fleet.
BEST LIVE SHOW EVER!!!!
How many went to see Metalicca and found these guys! In their early 20s . Think of where they go!!!!
11:14 when he comes out with that big scream and the crowd going crazy in the background! Ugh loved it! 😍
Im 64, a guitarist and I think this is just sick!! WTF!?!? How did this even happen? Every one in the band is so talented and tight AF! Jake and Josh, the drummer ... Awesome
INDEED!! I am 57 and am totally blown away by ALL their talent!❤
50, and me too 🙋🏼♀️😁🤘❤️
Every single time I hear Greta it re-instills hope in me and I don't know many other musicians that can evoke that kind of emotion. This band has gone above and beyond for the peaceful army. It truly feels like we are all family, not just fans. They've grown so much musically and so has their confidence and its amazing that they're so grounded. We love you boys, you are our family and our voice of a brighter tomorrow
They're junk. They don't know how to write. There is nothing emotional or powerful about their songs. This is a 70's tribute act. Nothing more.
me too, i also feel this undefined hope and i also dont feel it often
That was a little overdramatic.
How about letting them put out a few more albums first? Getting a new singer wouldn't hurt them either.
@@millionminimagicmice Learning how to write songs with melodies chorus and verse Wouldn't hurt either
@@roquefortfiles Haha, good point!
I can honestly say I'm impressed.
When they first emerged, I thought they were alright. But as time goes by, they just keep getting better and better
They are actually reminding me of REAL CONCERTS from back in the day !!!
LOVING IT !!!
Yeah they have copied that whole 70s shtick just like a.... 70s tribute act... eye roll
@Anubis If I thought this band were something amazing I would say it. There's nothing original about them. There's nothing new going on here. They've taken a sound that not many people today grew up with and they've recycled it. Simple as that. They got a zillion hits on UA-cam and some promoter gave them a record deal. People like me who grew up with Zeppelin look at GVF and just go... Ffffft!!. I'd rather listen to the real thing. I don't find much in their music that moves me. When I listen to "Going to California" or "Battle for Evermore" the guitar MOVES me. There's an emotional connection to the music. GVF haven't learned how to write yet. If these guys were all fat and bald nobody would give a flying fuck about their music.
I'm just glad some younger kids are listening to rock. and I actually starting to dig gvf.
@Anubis, amen & hallelujah to THAT. I couldn’t have stated it better. 🤘🏼😎
@@roquefortfiles Except with their own original music.
I haven’t fangirl this much to a band in a while... LOVE YOU GUYSSSSS
I'm not a girl but I LOVE YOOOOOUUUUUU GUYSSSSSSSS❤
Same!! And I’m an old lady!! 😂
I know exactly how you feel! I’ve never been so passionate about a band EVER! 🔥❤️
After all the "music" in this era ..... FUCKING LOVE YOU GUYSSSS !!!!!
Might be time to grow up.
Finally, a song that showcases Sam and his awesome bass guitar talent. Jake follows and compliments Sam's runs, and Daneils's drumming is beastly good. What a strong drummer.
I don't know man ... there's just something special about this band .
Wow!! I'm 65 and loving these young guys!! They are putting in the work!!🤘❤
These guys feed off of each other and are spot on!!!! They are great musicians and artists!!!
I just wanna know why so many people came on this video just to comment and talk crap? Like do y’all not have lives? Do something with yourself and let us love what we love.
Thank you! I was thinking the same thing!
totally agree
It's older people going through the part of their lives were they can't fathom anything better than what was cool in their youth and they have to be vocal about it
It's the cycle
@Hi zee, you need to scroll around and read some of the other comments from folks in my generation who think these guys are awesome. Like me... I’m practically old enough to be their grandma, and there are plenty of others around my age range making really positive comments about GVF. We’re VERY proud younger generations are keeping the hard rock we grew up with alive-while putting their own stamp on it.
As for me, whenever this virus nonsense calms down enough for these boys to go back out on tour, I’ll be there with bells on!
They friggin’ ROCK. 🤘🏼😎
I will always envy the people who got to see this in person ❤❤❤
the impossible happened .... rock is alive and Rober Plant is watchin'
Don’t know why these guys are so criticized they are ROCK so they may sound like Zeppelin a little but where else are you supposed to get your influences from as a musician Zeppelin should be proud that they launched guys like these. Honestly his voice range in higher than Plants and at times sounds like Getty Lee more than Plant. They are crafting their own. GVF Don’t listen to Jack Shit of what the critics say you guys are the real deal. PEACE AND LOVE FROM OHIO. ROCK ON

Just saw them in concert a week ago. Hands down the best concert I’ve ever seen. The music was off the chain and the theatrics was awesome!
I did too. Best damn concert ever and I've been to lots!!
I just saw them at Shaky Knees and they were the best show by far. Absolutely incredible! I have never seen a greater concert, and they only had an hour and 10 minute slot.
@@tc1754 yeah man! Glad to see true rock isn’t dead.
Extremely impressed. I grew up about 5 miles from Red Rocks. Climbed both those rocks, Castle and Ship Rock, used to sneak into the place after closing (this was way before they put up locked gates) and party and play our guitars right on the stage. The acoustics are phenomenal. Got caught sneaking into Willie Nelson concert by one of his roadies and our punishment was to stand next to WN the whole concert right behind the acoustic barriers. I know almost every inch of Red Rocks, even have a nice scar from wrecking on my skate board on Snake Road in 1979.
Pure raw jammin on the spot... This is what we call feels. Cannot be found in the mainstream music nowadays
How I wish I was at this show!!!!!
The best barefoot bassplayer ever. Sam and his bandmates are incredibly talented and skilled young musicians. LL GVF! Love your music! ❤❤❤❤😊
This is gonna sound so cheesy, but Jake's guitar solos literally bring tears to my eyes. As someone who loves to perform music myself, I feel like I can feel all of the love, happiness, and passion that he gets from playing - almost as if I'm playing the guitar myself. Jake brings us along on the journey and I respect the hell out of it
Tour manager: 'you're aloud to do a encore, but only 2 songs.'
GvF: sure....25 min later.
Thank you GvF for this amazing show!!
Josh's harmonizing with the guitar starting at 23:29 is pure 60's psychedelic throwback....
Fan! I am 56 & my grandsons love them. They are 4 and 5. The youngest sings into a spoon. Lol
All I know is, releasing the Red Rocks vids during this mostly unpleasant time has revived my soul--and I get to relive one of the best nights of my life over and over. Thank you GVF!!!
i’m sorry but jake using the mic stand as a slide is just immaculate
He’s god
They need to release huge live album with multiple concerts like Live at Irvine. That show was sick
Its so good to hear those guitar plays in this generation
This whole Red Rocks concert video series has been incredible to watch and listen to. Now if I could just purchase a copy without UA-cam ads.
Yes, plus some real backstage/behind the scenes footage!
It's ten bucks a month but UA-cam Red/Premium gets rid of commercials and lets you play the audio from a video while turning off your phone screen. I consider it a worthwhile investment, considering how much time I spend watching videos on here.

With so much of todays music being overproduced, synthesized& auto tuned…. it’s refreshing to see YOUNG artists playing REAL rock and doing it right.
I really like you can hear all their influences in their music. Led, stones, Sabbath, deep purple, the who. Fucking brilliant.
You guys are beyond awesome. You prob brought a tear to the eyes of the forefathers of rock music ... talent is off the charts...PERFECTION. Bravo! Ain't nothing like this nowadays and can't get enough. Legends out of the gate. BooYa!
I listen to this band because it stirs something awesome in me, like when I first discovered Pink Floyd or other such awesomeness
Pink Floyd is my fave band but damn these boys rock my world
I think this band has single handedly bright back rock music. ❤
Learn how to proof read next time please.

Queen ‘85
Led Zeppelin ‘70 ‘73 ‘75 ‘77 ‘79
David Bowie ‘74
I hope one day you guys have a legendary concert that marks a year you were active
@Michael those who know they know
@Michael the numbers are the years that those famous rock bands had their most famous concerts. Queen (1985 Live Aid), David Bowie (1974) etc...And he hopes that Greta Van Fleet has the same in the future (or maybe they already do with the Red Rocks concert!) :)
@oskar lundström lollll yeah
Metallica '86 was the year to see that band
Pearl Jam '92, Nirvana '92, Guns N' Roses '88, RHCP '03, The Beatles '64 '69, The Eagles '76, Jimi Hendrix '69, Cream '68, The Who '70... Just to name a few more!
Yesterday at school my class and I were talking about what our favourite bands are and I yelled out mediately Greta Van Fleet I love you guys so much I’m only 11 years old and I have found the band that I love!
I love that they’re plugged in, it keeps those that have never seen them or the video wonder why they’ve never heard of them.
OMG!! Soo talented, this isn't rip off it's homage and done very, very well. Haven't heard anything this good for a long time in this genre. Made me feel like a young teen again. Impressed is an understatement
Jake reminds me of a young Stevie Ray in this video. I have listened to many artists, these kids have old souls. Look at the crowd on some of Jake's strong riffs. The crowd looks stunned. I think that we are witnessing some very strong legend here. Watch.
Tried to tell all my friends years ago that these guys would be big time... my friends didn’t listen... and here they are!! Absolutely love this band. Fuck the haters
Danny's double kicks and work at the end of the encore is a real testament to his strength and stamina as a first class drummer. Awesome.
I know the Zep comparisons won't go away but I've come to just appreciate how talented these guys are
How could you not like this Band, Awesome.
these guys are great, guitar player is unbelievable good
This band blows my mind i cant get anuff they are going to change everything
What a voice!
It's appears to me that this is Rock Opera! I love it and have been waiting for it for 57 years to be exact! The music is pure. I hope you never get corrupted 💖
I’m 108… and their music takes me right back to the 1930s Great Depression… Boy! Those were the days…
HAHAHA
I'm 28 and these guys make me feel 26 again
I'm 55 and get the same vibe ! :) and Yes Eduardo, Talk on the Street would be very cool to see live !
51 here!! Same!! 💕❤️💕
Wow! How much difference lol
I am 30 and these guys make me feel 29 years, 11 months, and 22 days again
BAHAHAH
I can not even comprehend people hating on this band. I'm like... Why? Because they sound similar to Led? Are you serious? Were you born yesterday? No one is supposed to copy another band? Really? Even the band said it was "unintentional," whether it is true or not, can we not just enjoy the music and when you do not like it then move on? Like I do get it why people are angry at the most trivial and ridiculous things is because they are unhappy in life. I know it very well because I used to be the same. Man... I personally do not like Led Zeppelin, because their music relates more to the older generation. I can not relate to that time back then because I am 31. I do like all kinds of music and listening to this does feel like it is "nostalgic" as in it reminds me of some music I heard a long time ago when I was a kid and in MY head is a mixture of many different sounds. People who have not heard Led and hear Josh singing amazingly will obviously be more attracted to this. Like, simple, frickin, logic. Cmon people, cmon. Everyone who reacts angrily, aggressively to anything is like a child having a tantrum. I do not like something thus I must act and look like an unbearable human being. Grow up.
Tottaly agree. GVF,s music is like a breath of fresh air. Although I,m a fan of the Grunge Era super groups like AIC, Mad Season and Pearl Jam , those guys, music is fantastic! Love it!
