What is the hater controversy. They are talented , rock like crazy and keep Rock and Roll alive. I am 69 and this is the music the world needs.
You are 100% right Dave. Looking back, all music comes inspiration and then pure talent, like Greta. I like the fact they took all reminiscence of what they grew up learning, gave a new generation a phenomenal gift of this blues rock and roll, with a poetic flare. It is unique..reminds me of Queen. ♥Greta♥
You only get haters when there's talent to hate by haters who wish they had it. There's people who do and there's people who talk about the doers.
lmao nice age 👌
Damn right Dave people need to stop with the Zeppelin rip offs shit man ...Everybody's favorite bands favorite band was Zeppelin they were just that damn good the inspired everyone that heard them and seen them so what GVF sound like them their original and play well they write their own music and its good damn good ... Zeppelin borrowed or knicked it as Plant said didn't stop them from setting the bar so high that no one could come close again ...And you recall they had to go up against the Beatles ...GVF will be great before it's over but they will never be Zeppelin no one will no one has to be !!!
@@TheNinnyfee I think those are the rarer haters in this case especially. I think the real hate comes from fear of people who love modern crappy music now loving rock. That the 70s and 80s was a limited, lucky experience for music and you can't just bring it back by pretending you understand it. But I'll have faith against that. I think it's more of a eye-opener, people will change, like this band, figuring it out and loving it as they go.
I am 71 and freaked out when I heard them!! I thought I was listening to Zeppelin!!! I pray to God that these kids stay together and stay away from drugs and booze!~! Stay clean kids...you've got an amazing life in front of you!!!
Love the message , life happens and if they fall into addiction its just something we gotta pull ourselves out of! We don't wanna see another artist die to addiction.. but the same time.. life happens
👍👍
lol, Im a younger guy, only 70 and admire these guys workin for the weekend! I thought it was Robert Plant with a helium balloon. Oh well, Im aloud to I suppose
I’m 73 and also caught the LZ vibes!!😊
AMEN Brother! Beautiful Beyond Words!! ❤️
I'm 66 .I stumbled on them 2 days ago on a FB post. I was dumbfounded. Rock lives still
In 65 and going to them in Austin may 2024.

Say what you will, the world needs bands like these right now
Not crappy pop bands
Thats a fact. Peaceful Army.....
@@MultiZombiekiller96 Yeahh!
Swear to God, I was going to say the same thing.
This world needs a fucking reset, well not the whole world, but a significant piece of it's population does. A cool band btw.
I am 63 and this is rock
70 years old and I really love this music from the boys, keep on rocking
This band is amazing. They’re the best band I’ve heard in 20 years at least.
Watching him sing almost feels like I’m interrupting something intimate or spiritual. He gives me chills. They are all talented but watching Josh interact with the music is captivating.

Josh has the best voice in rock period.

Totally agree with this comment!!!
57 year old woman here loving these guys.....feels like 1978 again....if only in my head.....
Beth Adams if they tour in 2021, I will be there in a second!
56 year old man, and i feel the same, reminds me of summer nights in the park, sittin in a circle and passing around mother nature, i've seen them 2x and cant wait for the 3rd!!!!!!!
are you tingly?
62 here.... I was 59 when I first discovered them by listening to The Howard Stern Show in July 2017... I saw them live in Rochester, NY on October 6, 2017 when they were supposed to be opening for Halestorm & New Years Day......I thoroughly enjoyed seeing them again in Henrietta, NY on May 22, 2019 on their March Of The Peaceful Army.... I've seen everybody from my era, now I enjoy the 21st century's best. I've always said that I may be 62, but when I listen to Greta Van Fleet I'm 17 all over again.
I'm 58 and when they play the clock goes back 40 years...closest thing to time travel I have ever experienced. Rock on GVF !
Remember...back in the day, we had musicians that would play actual music...on instruments...and it was pleasing to us? THIS is what it sounded like. I love it and you should too.
wtf are you even talking about? you're saying that rock bands dont play instruments anymore? i want whatever you're on
Check out bands like "Radio Moscow".. they are now in their 30's but play rhythm and blues classic rock sound In their music
Back in what day? "Back in the day" is a meaningless expression
Haters gonna hate.
If you dog the music go somewhere else.
My 24 year old daughter sent me GVF to listen to and at first I just shrugged it off. I’m 60. I finally took the time to REALLY listen! Wow! I hear all of the influence of the rock musicians I grew up on, but not in a “copy cat” sort of way. In a great, wonderful, wild sort of way!! FINALLY, a real rock band who makes me wish I was 20 something again! Keep on rocking Josh, Jake, Sam and Danny!! You guys are a light we older generation have been waiting on for a long time and what this younger generation didn’t realize they were missing out on, until now!!
You got that right!

3/4 of them are brothers and Danny is their childhood friend. I see these guys making music for years upon years to come ♥️
Gods not helping these guys, maybe Satan ? You guys will figure it out one day you zombies
Josey, Josey, Josey, Zombies? You must be living in a basement or under a rock for a really long time? This band and only one other are worth to mention in todays candy pop world. And the other is also a family band. No, not the Desmond brothers. They called, the Warning, three sisters from Mexico, and guess what they play rock to. Led Zep, and Guns n Roses are in the past, and thankfully this two bands are carrying the rock in a new dimension. And no matter that they are Mexicans or Zulus, it’s the music what speak values, which I have the feeling you can’t even scratch the surface of it. So go back in your cave and shut it!!!
@@bubamaranovichok4901 yessss well said sir
They’re all family, no breaking them up🥹✊🏻❤️
Grew up with my dad only listening to classic rock. I loved it! He’s since passed and now that I’m in my early twenties listening to Greta it’s now clicked… feel as though I can truly feel the excitement and energy my dad had growing up with the likes of led zeppelin etc. Genuinely wish I could bond with him over Greta’s music today. I do like a lot of todays music but this… this is where it’s at! Bridged a gap I’ve been dying to re-experience! Cannot get enough of their music! Every time I’m listening it’s impossible to not be happy and just jam out! All other worries go out the drain! I love it! Blessed to be experiencing such talent like my dad did at this age.
Bro I totally get this, it never clicked until I listened to them. I never thought a band could help me understand my dad so much haha
I'm sorry you lost your dad so soon.

We're witnessing history. This band has followers from all ages. Reminiscent of 70's classic rock (Led Zepp to be precise), 80's hard rock flair, sprinkle of 90's grunge, and as young as they are, they have today's millenials as fans as well. Mash all that up and get GVF!!!! Didn't think it could ever be done.
I'm 64,a musician and just coming to this. I guess there will always be controversy but it seems very clear that this is one of the most AWESOME rock bands ever!!!
Maybe the most awesome..
I'm 66 and my MUCH younger physical therapist told me about this band. These guys definitely grew up listening to Zep, Rush, Yes, The Who, etc. Great to hear there are still those of the younger generations that still appreciate excellent musicianship and rocking!
he sounds a lot like rush's singer.
@@jhue73 I so agree. I say it's Freddie Mercury meets Rush meets Led Zeppelin and I can't figure the rest out. BUT it is SO awesome to have a young band with such a unique yet classic style of musical ALL ages can relate to. I am 62 and I LOVE this band!!!

My first two tickets were for this actual pair of shows @RedRocks. Just caught the shows in SLC and Vegas for the new tour.
You will not be disappointed.
I was born in the 70s, I heard all of the greats growing up. In the 90s, I experienced Nirvana & the grunge scene first hand. I’ve waited a very, very long time for GVF. It’s music that is absolutely soul reaching. A bad day can be turned completely around with just one song.

What goes around comes around! Great music always comes back... we just have to keep our ears open! So glad Greta are Zeppelin fans instead of Godsmack fans, or some new cr@p. Nothing wrong with sounding like your heroes. Fantastic music!
This dude's voice though, uniquely great, they say similar to Zeppelin. But I hear influence, not duplication by any means. These guys can play, being compared to Zeppelin isn't a bad thing anyway
I hear Motown influences to be honest
YES! - It's not copying, its Influenced! Love it!
The guitarist is amazing...
Thankyou Greta for being on youTube so more fans can enjoy your music. Your songs and lyrics are so beautiful.
This is exactly what I described in the first part of the concert: their music is clearly similar to Zeppelin, and the singer’s high voice is like Robert Plant voice!
I listen to this Red Rocks "Age of Man" song almost daily. If I could time travel, that's where I would go.
Me listening to it for the third time this week currently
Young Legends, throwbacks to a time when music mattered.
These lads are brilliant. They have tapped into .....something....that we thought had passed years ago.

Come on people, this is mid 70's old fashioned groove rock. Organ, drums, hard guitar with dude killing the high vocals. Crank it.
I learned of these guys from downloading Led Zeppelin tracks. I am a dyed in the wool Led Zeppelin fan. I know all their songs and play some of them on my Les Paul custom.
But, WOW!! when Greta Van Fleet showed up while I was scanning for Zep tracks I was blown away.
They have their own sound. They have their own style. They have their own songs. No copy cat. Copy cat is what I do, I try to cover the music I love.
Greta Van Fleet brings back to me what I have been missing for so long. Great music.

Wtf.. The music is great but it's definitely not a good or even great live performance
going absolutely feral every time jake sings along with josh
So awesome!!
I just discovered GVF in the past week and am blown away. This may sound bombastic but hear me out. Greta Van Fleet may be the most important band in the history of hard rock music. The reason is that hard rock as a genre was on its deathbed and these kids are bringing it back. Although they're still babies as bands go, they're the standard-bearer for classic rock now. They're not just great. They're important. They need to stick together and make great music for years to come. They will inspire more young bands to come along and perform this style of music. Sort of like Metallica has been doing a long time for metal.
I wish them long success too. This music is effin' incredible.
Absolutely!!!
You are Right on the money .. Every word .. These are the Guys who will build the Momentum.. .The Old Rock Stars are sadly dying off , or doing Farewell Tours , and we need a New Generation to take over .. The market is there, The Torch has to be Passed though, and Other New Rock Bands will be formed and inspired by this Genre .. its like taking a Trip back into the 70's when I listen to them . The Guitarist is also extremely Talented , and Keyboard, just listen to the Keyboard skills ... it is as if he is Channeling Gary Brooker from Procol Harum ..
All so cute! Look at the beautiful teeth that josh has!! Sooo cute!
Why all the hate? As a 70 year old drummer who still plays I say KEEP ON ROCKIN
I cant get enough of this band. I MUST see them live. I refuse to die until I do.

When Josh dedicates the music is you to his mother, how can you not fall in love with him even more?
Mind-blowing. Plain and simple
I’m 70 years young and very proud of these young lads. They have truly brought real talent and rock and roll back to the forefront. I believe that even Led Zeppelin would be immensely proud of them. Rock on Greata, rock smart, rock healthy, don’t let the industry take you down.
This is easily the best rock band to come on the music scene in the past 20 years. I highly suggest that anybody, no matter their age, purchase tickets to see them in concert when they have a chance. I’ve already commented, but I just watched a reaction video and I had to come back, because I believe that the Age of Man performance here is the best live performance I’ve ever watched. There’s something magical going on. No exaggeration. Sam’s intro (unbelievably moving) and the way these four just play together so perfectly, it’s just amazingly beautiful. If we had time travel and I could only go to one time and place, I really think I’d transport to this particular performance. It’s that moving and gorgeous. I hope the people watching were sober enough and musically intelligent enough to realize what they were witnessing. Definitely a special moment in time. These guys know how to write a song and give it life. I feel like I’m lifted and transported into another dimension. So thankful for this amazing creation!
Sober enough? My only regret is I wasn't high enough.

Had the opportunity to see these guys live at Forest Hills and it was one of the most amazing shows I've ever seen in my 50+ years on this planet. A full blown concert phenomenon! Great song writing, incredible musicianship and a voice that makes you want to not just sing along but shout out the lyrics!
CHILLS!! I’m 18 again! Just bought everything they have out! 💜💜💜
Well - Just watched this again - and have a flood of tears down my face - it isn't just about bringing rock back - it is GRETA VAN FLEET themselves. They are four fabulously talented dudes who actually are also very sweet. It got a bit overwhelming towards the end - I felt the love in the room and I was alone in my living room - with my cat - damn if I am so glad to be alive just to have been able to get to know this band. And the love they have for music. Hard to put into words. 😍PS - Josh has a beautiful timbre in the lower register.
“Damn if I am so glad to be alive just to have been able to get to know this band” I second that
this band is simply the future of world rock what a wonderful band
I can’t believe I found this group on TikTok! They embody classic real rock!! So talented. Lead singer so egnamic!
Did you mean enigmatic?
I was born in 1967 and I have grown up with all the great Rock stars... Today my heart trembles with you... I am an unconditional fan. Long live Greta van Fleet from Spain.🎉🎉🎉❤❤❤
Sam's organ solo owns my heart bye
ikr! 12:43
I am 49 and also I am happy to see the return of Rock n' Roll. Long live Rock n' Roll.
My youngest daughter, who is 17, turned me on to greta because she knows I'm a true rocker. And wow do they deliver like no other in their generation!! They rival all the greats from back in the day. We are seeing them live in September 2022!!
Charlottesville, VA September 30th.
Red rocks is the most amazing venue we have in the US. This band is incredibly talented. I hope they keep doing their thing.
12:35 Sam lighting incense before that spectacular solo before Age of Man; I love it
Fun little story about sam's incense... My mom and I saw gvf on oct 2nd in San Fran (right after this show) and we were on the barricade in front of jake. We were jamming out, having the time of our lives when Sam lights his incense during age of man. My mom has asthma so she starts having a full asthma attack. using her inhaler. on the front row. of a rock and roll concert. She was fine so it was hilarious. But now she can say Sam Kiszka gave her an asthma attack! 😂🧡✌️
hahahaha WHAT!!! that story did NOT turn out to be the way I thought it was 😂😂😂😂
This concert was pure magic. I will never forget it.
did they play more songs or are all of them in those 2 videos?
@@joschka420 They played several more songs--I believe 2 more parts of this concert will be released, or as they are calling them, Act 3 and Act 4 of this video series.
I am completely mesmerized by his vocals. The range and tones puts me in a world full of love and compassion. I could watch him sing all day. They are amazing.
I thought the same until I discovered Josh, the lead singer...lip syncing during the Red Rocks concert!
I’m almost 74 and I love this group, I’m a big Zeplin fan, my hubby nearly 75 and has a lot of time for these young me.
Anybody who had any doubts about this band needs to watch this video. No matter what anybody says, this band is the real deal. I can admit its changed my opinion a complete 180 and I'm a fan for life.
I agree me too FAN FOR LIFE
By far.. is the best R&R I have heard in ages and I mean AGES. Yes they are "raw ( they went straight to the top) their songs are not mature. AND YES it is NOT 1967 london or 1980's Long Island NY but there is a shitload of talent in that gene pool.
BTW.. The singer is PRETTY unique.. all him .. not a note from Mick Jagger or Chris Robinson (Black Crows)
I watched it, and i can say that was a pretty decent waste of 30 minutes. Nothing they do is original, nothing. Not even close to a few grains of originality. Nothing they have is memorable; so unmemorable in fact, that i can't remember what to even hate on. This feels like Hanson, but mixed with Adam Sandler vocals on acid.
@@Mike-zf4xg Sounds like you have a boring life my guy.
josh: can you dig it!??!?
me in my room: YEAAAAHH!!
my family: wtf is she screaming about??
Your left boob didn't yell that? Cuz it never lies 👍
Matthew Carle 😂
Hearts, hearts, hearts!!!
At this point, there is really only one unanswered question: does Josh Kiszka have the greatest vocal range in recorded music history? If not, he is definitely in the top 5.
& what's so exciting is that he's only 26. His voice has actually yet to "mature"!
@@kimjohnson8471 nah
I can hear so much Robert plant in him it's insane...very awesome band ,and hope they keep it up .very cool
The geetars are amazing! Ha! Fuckin amazing!!!!
DONT mistake a high voice for vocal range. He isn't actually covering that much territory for the most part of the KEYBOARDS octaves. In order to have a large vocal range you need to be able to go very low too, and high, which so far there isn't much evidence of. Someone like Prince is someone with one of the largest vocal ranges of all time. He goes very low and exceedingly high as high as Josh
My god. That performance of Age of Man is unbelievable. Every single time I watch it, I get goosebumps and the rest of the world just disappears. Amazing.
He has such a lovely speaking voice.
Easily the greatest new rock band of the last 20 years. Just gorgeous music.
I love these kids to death. My number 1, but check out Rival Sons....rock is in fantastic hsnds
