You just solved a years long mystery for me across all games... thanks!
Glad it helped - it bugged me for a long while and it's what drove me to look more into it..
Incredibly helpful, thank you
glad it helped you out! :)
Kudos bro, great advice:)
Thank you! Made a huge difference on all my games
DG360 showed us your tips on graphics, well done mate
Nice one, thank you 👌
Thanks!
Whoa! I had no idea my image was washed out until I applied your recommended nvidia settings. The change was night and day difference in SC and other games and apps. Thnx Wally, you the man!
dank je wel Wally
Love this, thanks
thx!!
Thank you!
I think you may find your colour profile needs altering (ICC profile in windows). It should be SRGB for the correct palete for SDR content. You can ensure it is set for the correct range to have full range not 'limited'.
Thanks. Btw. Music in the background is from Star Citizen? If not, what title it has?
Yes it is one of the SC soundtrack songs
What song is that in the background? Is that OST from Orison or something?
THe real frustration I have is that you can set a colour profile and calibrate your monitor/PC setup as I do using professional equipment.... and then nearly all games will ignore it and employ either the default colour profile for windows or their own uncalibrated settings.
AMD GPU driver allows a person to force colour profile to be used. nVidia have refused to implement or just not bothered despite years of requests :(
your the best
thank ya!!!
Whats really annoying, every-time I update my Nvidia driver, it disables itself and i have to enable it again.
thanks!
Not being funny but these settings I thought were obvious, they are the first things I set on a new gpu. If you still have the misty look after these settings go into nvidia control panel and put up the contrast, it's set by default to 50 which on alot of monitors images it look washed out so set ot to 75 and that will solve the problem. I generally use DP, not hdmi though.
*facepalm* Had my output from the integrated chip rather than the gfx card. Such a doofus. Sure the setting changes helped as well once the card was actually doing the work.
Lol I’m 1440p and think it’s still washed out
Trash nvidia, every time you have to change these settings to use on tv
