24:02 To be fair, Alatreon's elem DPS check is still fairly easily reachable in singleplayer, even for greatswords (And for hammers for that mater). However it's just not well balanced around multiplayer. You have much less chance of failing the quest solo ( If you have appropriate equipment and fairly good at the game ), but it's much harder for heavier weapons and bowguns (which most of the time don't have enough ammo to kill it without restocking (which is impossible (which is total BS))). But in multiplayer you are running into a problem of increased dps threshold, not hitting which can result in party wipe and end of the quest. Plus Alatreon has really inconsistent interactions with clutch claw attacks, not flinching at all during some moves and not hitting the wall unless you aim him at one of the rock formations, which feels really clunky. Overall I think it would have been easily fixed by Capcom, if not for some people who's main point of criticism was "I don't want to use elemental weapon, why are you forcing me to adapt my build towards this fight?", considering you have all of the tools at your disposal to both adapt your build towards specific encounter, while not changing your overall playstyle too much. Otherwise, a great video!
99% of my multiplayer failed runs happen because of people carting to his regular moveset and not Escathon Judgement. In any case, solo or multiplayer, the first elemental topple is simply a joke. It can be reached by 2 or even 1 guy in a group of 4 with the proper element. That goes a long way to show how much the playerbase of this game actually suck at it, sadly. I wish there was a modded quest for him without EJ. I wonder what the success rate would be in this case.
Absolutely loved it! It's decently challenging to get that first kill, you really need to learn its moveset. I think it's the monster where good positioning matters the most in this game. My only gripe with it are the hitboxes. It's weird to go from Alatreon, which in my eyes has the best hitboxes in the game, to Fatalis which is closer to Tigrex-levels of hitboxes.
Upping the difficulty by putting the monsters on a mixture of meth and crack and having them zip across the screen in a frenzy faster than you can turn the camera is not very balanced or enjoyable, at least to me, and I've heard similar critiques from others. I understand tempered versions but not meth head versions of a monster. Personally I don't find it enjoyable even with 4 good players where you know for sure that the monster is done for (so it's not a git gud issue), it's just an eyesore and unpleasant experience to fight a frenzied monster on meth, to me at least. Loved the game btw, went through World twice on 2 characters just to sharpen my skills. I'll keep playing but I think Iceborne monsters are just too much.

I’m more a fan of retro games but I have been wanting to play this game lately… btw nice vid 😅
Blast resistance nullifies slime blight
what’s your opinion of fatalis?

@@GehrmanGaming his hitboxes have always been on the weirder side, strange that they never thought to change it for iceborne
The German accent though
It be like that :D
I loved world but I absolutely despised Iceborne
Damn, what did you dislike about it?
@@GehrmanGaming I'm going to guess the whole tenderizing part of the clutch claw
